In a way, the most interesting part of any op was the part where she had to plan it all out. There was a sense of tranquility about meticulous planning which tickled both sides of her world, like a puzzle that had to be solved, all the right pieces had to fall into place to get the perfect result. As a detective, it meant piecing it all together, figuring out the missing link that took down the entire house of cards around the person trying to hide their nefarious deeds from the law. It was working the darkness into the light, figuring out who the mystery person was behind it all. Her work as an assassin, though, it wasn’t a whodunit, they knew who had to go, but the puzzle was a case of deconstructing every single part of their target and figuring out the one weak spot inside the design, that one moment that she could strike to maximum effect, where nobody will even know until it’s too late… Most times she did it solo, but even someone like her needed a support structure. People that were loyal to the cause, or otherwise would be loyal for a price or a solution. And the Stingray was the kind of place that a person can find the right kind of people. “Rum Coke on the rocks.” she spoke after gesturing the bartender, taking a seat in her usual spot at the far end of the bar. Only her voice betrayed her identity, her urban way of dress making her come across boyish and anything but the person they were in the other world. Whilst she wasn’t afraid people would recognize that other person here, she was making sure to avoid bad luck. Looking around, she’d glance up with a small smile that was as good as a handshake in this placee. “Business going good, Z?” she’d ask an idle question. Tag: Zane

Zane was flicking through a data shard that was given to her by Hoshi early this night. A source had dropped it off. It related to some strings of violent crimes that had been occurring just outside of Tokyo. Something was bothering Zane about it but she couldn't place her finger on it. Was there some connection? Probably. The place the crimes were occurring were just close enough that it was odd. Crime happens everywhere but repeated thefts and assaults' in a relatively fine neighborhood? Zane was the investigative type. A fixer one might say. Make connections for people so they could get their problems fixed. It was a way of atonement when she would convince people to submit to quirk experiments and ruining people's lives with her net running for the company that happen to be running a ad on the TV in her bar.
"Hojo Net Services! Your trusted source for business broadband and security!" Damn parasite is everywhere. Hojo had infiltrated everyday life and no one had noticed. Shaking her head, she took a swig from her drink before she heard a familiar voice from the older days. Days that Zane has been trying to atone for.
"Couldn't be better, Dani." Zane would say with a rye smile, pulling out the data shard she was reading. "Are we here on business or pleasure?" Zane would add, doing a cheers motion to the drink Hoshi had slid to Dani. "Thanks Hoshi, drinks on me." Zane would add as Hoshi walked away and went back to doing her regular work.
