The UAU lab premises for the support department were not merely a physical space; they were an ecosystem designed to nurture and catalyze generations of bright-minded individuals. From the moment one stepped foot into the lab, a palpable sense of modernity and cutting-edge technology enveloped the space, leaving new visitors awe-inspired.
But Fosh was absolutely frustrated by all of that. The whole freaking university was already nothing but a huge nerd town in his eyes and now he had to spend most of his time in the real epicenter of nerdiness. The labs were so soulless in their design and contents that Fosh could feel his own creative soul leaving his body the first time he walked in there.
Fosh simply couldn't see anything original - all of the desks were the same and all of the projects on these desks just screamed "innovative" or "efficient" or "reliable". He couldn't stand these words, yet he had to survive in an environment completely represented by them. And not to mention all of the rules and free space etiquette or whatever those nerds called it. What did it mean? Fosh didn't even want to bother asking.
Despite this personal struggle of his, Fosh wasn't the kind to stay down for long, so he jumped back up. Literally. As he began jumping around the support lab in order to keep his body and therefore mind active. Bouncing his way towards his own little desk, the moronic teenager continued his work on a personal project he named - The Claw 9000.
It resided in an almost finished state (three huge chunks of rusted metal) near his scrap-covered desk and appeared to be a huge a metal claw connected to a long snake-like appendage. Due to its size he simply didn't have enough scrap to make it work yesterday, but now nothing was stopping him. Impatiently, Fosh emptied out his bags of scrap and trash onto the Claw before beginning to work his magic.
After just a few minutes, the work was finished, and with a single press of the rusted switch, the Claw sprang into action. It was supposed to grab the first thing in front of it which was a trash can, but instead it quickly turned on its creator and grabbed Fosh as if he was some plushie in a claw machine arcade.
His creation would then begin aimlessly flailing Fosh through the air and then continuing to loop this action. At first, Fosh was somewhat pleased that it worked even if it chose the wrong target, but moments later the nauseating movements finally caused him to ask for help.
