He is intelligent enough to be saught after for his surprisingly deep knowledge, but unhinged and messy enough for those who don't know him to doubt his capabilities. Despite this impression, Luca is a fairly friendly and energetic person, willing to fill the dead air of a conversation with anything that would keep the person he's accompanying entertained, or distracted if they needed it. He also has a fair degree of emotional intelligence as well, capable of comforting those who need it and is the type of guy to drop whatever he is doing to help someone in a crisis.

Luca grew up dirt poor, with both of his parents working full-time jobs to scrape by and support him and his three siblings. His father was a garbageman and his mother was a factory worker, and each took on odd jobs whenever they had the time to get some extra money. His father was the only one who was quirkless, with Luca and the rest of his siblings inheriting traits of their mother's quirk. Her quirk, Drive, allowed her body utilize all of its energy and resources to its fullest capacity, but if overused could lead to fatal conditions. But even then at least her quirk had some kind of benefit. Luca's on the other hand, would only serve as a detriment to their family. Due to the nature of his quirk, Luca required a special diet of nutrient rich gasoline, something that had to be specially made by a quirkologist. With its high cost and his family's tight budget, Luca would often go hungry for days on end, with the normal food that they could give him only stopping him from keeling over on the spot.
Things didn't get any better for the young boy once he started going to school, with his family already having the reputation of being "leeches" to society from when his older brother and sister still went to school. He was bullied relentlessly, with most of his classmates targeting him for his status and giving him the nickname "Trash". Throughout his primary and secondary education, he silently withstood the torment of classmates, knowing full well that no matter what he did, whether it be transfer schools or try to change his image, none of it would work. As he got older though, things would only escalate. They started to harass him anywhere they saw him, taking what little money he had, and even harassing his little brother. One day, Luca knew he had enough. He had taken the abuse for far too long, and it was time he dish it back. Getting into a brawl, he had been suspended from the school for a week, and continued to fight after that throughout his days in high school. Once he finally graduated, there wasn't much left for him to look forward to, just a life of endless work to earn money and survive. But at the behest of his little brother, who looked up to him as a hero, he had the idea to truly become one.

With this change to the Luca's body, their organs have adapted to ingest and regulate both electricity and fossil fuel. Just like with a normal heart, any physical or straining action makes use of Luca's internal fuel, and he requires natural rest or "refueling" in order to function properly once his fuel becomes depleted. Where his heart becomes truly special though is in their ability to provide power to outside machines and devices. So long as the target machine requires fossil fuels or electricity to run properly, Luca can provide that power via physical contact with the machine or device. Not only that but by utilizing fuel, Luca can coat his body with extreme heat or electricity, depending on which fuel source he chooses.
QUIRK DRAWBACKS: Luca must be making physical contact with a machine or device to provide power to it, and can only utilize one fuel type at a time when providing power to any machine or device. Just like a normal heart, Luca's heart is a vital and sensitive organ, requiring proper care and maintenance to ensure that he functions to the best of his capability. Like any normal engine, too much continuous power usage, even with more than enough fuel, can cause Luca to overheat; leading to dehydration and eventually even hyperthermia.
