[attr="class","nikki109"]Truly nothing made Morgan more excited than an anticipated game release. Her assignments had been done, the weekend was coming up, and she had already done her rotation in the support labs for the week. It was shaping up to be the perfect weekend with her computer being recently updated to the best specs she could get her hands on. Monkey Hunter was one of her favorite series since she was a kid and this most recent entry, Monkey Hunter 5, was a 4-player version of the classic experience with a whole new race of salamanders to hunt. Very exciting stuff! [break][break]

She had put her phone on Do Not Disturb forgetting that this night overlapped with Tatsu coming to visit as they did once a week. So any texts she was meant to receive were ignored and Morgan ended up setting herself up for a weekend shut-in instead of the ritual she had when guests...or rather a guest would show up. Headphones went on as she placed a bowl of homemade popcorn next to her. The store-bought stuff had too many variables and this was no time to get sick. Besides it was a long weekend which meant she could pull an all-nighter and catch up on sleep later.[break][break]

[attr="class","les"] I t doesn't come as a surprise that her messages are left unread, a sigh withheld as she tugs on her backpack. Woven threads bristle against her skin, a faintly bumpy sensation eating up every morsel of attention she might offer as she meanders through these familiar halls. One door, two doors, a friendly face and a wave, a brief warning of how Morgan Matsumoto’s doors have remained closed all day. No matter. Or perhaps, it matters a bit. After all, she's the one that has to break that sacred alone time and somehow convince Morgan to not go jumping out of her bathroom window. Turn your palm towards your lips, curl your fingers and rest a knuckle against the cold wood. Then lift it slightly and make sure to rap sharply, following a specific pattern agreed upon between the two. She follows their weekly ritual to the most minute detail, counting the seconds until she hears movement in the room, listening for footsteps shuffling towards or away from the door. "Hey, Morg? You... in there?"

[attr="class","nikki109"]As fate would have it Morgan had yet to turn her headphones on and was about to just as the moment she heard the knock. She paused for a second, taking her headphones off and turning in her seat as she slowly realized her mistake. This was confirmed when she heard a very familiar voice call out to her. Eyes widening as her breaths quickened she shot up out of her seat nearly knocking over her snacks in the process "Hang on!" she called out looking around frantically. She had let down her hair, taken off her gloves, and wasn't even wearing socks since she had already disinfected and completely forgotten about Tatsu coming over. She really was the worst![break][break]

As to not keep one of her closest friends waiting she figured if there was ever a good use for her quirk it would be now. The world around her started to slow down as she quickly put on her socks, and gloves, tied her hair back, and put down a towel for Tatsu to put her shoes on. Nothing unusual from her normal routine when she had guests, just literally accelerated because of her own mistake. Once she was done she slowed back down to a normal pace and opened the door "Sorry Tatsu. I didn't have my phone on me" she gestured towards her bed where he phone lay "Monkey Hunter 5 just came out." even though Tatsu wasn't a gamer herself Morgan had spent plenty of time telling her about games over the last year with the Monkey Hunter series being her favorite. She gestured for her to come inside before she would close the door behind her. Even with the apology she still felt bad as it wasn't like Morgan to forget so hopefully Tatsu wasn't offended![break][break]
