"I-" Kei paused, not expecting her to just do the test now. He tapped his chin in thought. "Honestly I figured we'd do that some other time so I can prepare everythin', but if you really wanna do it now I think there's somethin' here we can use..." Turning away from the girl, he walked towards the wall to dig in some drawers in search of something.

He let out an exclamation when he found what he was looking for. "Found it!" As he got closer to Zahra he held up some electrodes for her to see, which were connected to a device in his other hand. "These are usually used to test brain activity, but if you place these on your stomach we should get numbers on how much it's actin' up."

A chuckle escaped him at her warning. "And don't worry, I'll stay far away so you won't reach me." Kei stepped a few paces backwards once the electrodes were with the other support student, laughing again when he was ordered to lie. "Man this is so weird uh-" It took a while for him to come up with something to tell her. It was hard when his social life didn't depend on it for once. "My eyes are green?" Something easy first, his eyes were very much yellow.

There is no better time than present

That is how she operates whenever she make a goal. Therefore, it baffles her when Kei thought it is weird when Zahra want to finishes all of this fast. Zahra hums as Kei dug around his place trying to find something, she decides to not offer any kind of help and just leave him to his antique until he shows her some electrodes. Now the time that she hate the most and when she tries to embrace it... all of that turns to naught when she hears the lies. Sure, it is a lie - she can definitely feel it rumbling within her stomach enough to make a her jolt forward to curl before standing normally again - she finds that the pain would subsides faster if she curls forward when the stomachache came. But that part is not the most important part, it was...

Really? You sounds like a kindergartner right now with that kind of lie Zahra truly speechless with the choice of lies that Kei decides to do. She was expecting a bit more subtle on the lie but the lie that is obviously a lie while it still gives her a sting - it is not as hurt as the more subtle one. That lie would not shows a decent results, i say Zahra claims as she explains about the different between obvious lie and subtle lie.

Kei couldn't help but wince in sympathy when the freshman leaned forward, surely feeling the effects of the lie he just told. He was glad she recovered quickly, meaning the pain wasn't too bad. Her being okay was further proven when she admonished him over his attempt at the fib. He stumbled over his words for a moment, stunned by her reaction. "Hey! It's not easy when I'm put on the spot like this!" How often did he lie because the person he's lying to wanted him to? Exactly.

"Do worse?" He blinked at her in confusion. "There's tiers to the lies?" When she explained the difference between the one he told and more subtle ones, he still didn't understand why the latter gave her a worse reaction. Could anything he said right now even be considered subtle since he had to lie in order to test her Quirk? Especially since she knew he had to,

With that thought in mind Kei scratched his head, thinking hard on what he could say next. "Uhhh I'm an only child." He wasn't, he in fact had an older brother alive and well, off fighting somewhere for the good of the city. Maybe the fact there's no visual tell that he wasn't telling the truth would be enough to create more accurate results.

Look. even without my quirk - anyone can tell from miles away that is a lie. Like it is very obvious and... OUCH Zahra screams in pain unprepared when Kei suddenly says a lie. It was partially her fault that she should have seen that coming as Kei obviously trying to think on what kind of lie that he could say. The pain that she receives right now is sharper and linger longer compared to before. In a moment of reflex, she grabs anything that she can grab and throws it toward Kei in a one smooth motions. Zahra spat lots of curses in Indonesian as she tries to push down the pain and finally she takes a deep breath feeling relaxed that the pain has subsides.

I couldn't believe that I would say this in my life but.. now that's better... Zahra says then suddenly a bulb pops up metaphorically on her mind right now and ends her sentence with Oniichan Zahra purposefully calls Kei with a mocking yet affectionate tone. The more subtle the lie is, as in the less likely someone else could tell that it is a lie. While there are many variables where the pain intensity can play it parts; I can say that one was considered as somewhere on the upper level so it should be good as calculation while the first one is considered as somewhere on the lower side Zahra explains and make a calculation.

Kei watched her reaction. Definitely more noticeable than when he told the first lie. Though his eyes widened when she picked up a tape measure - those heavy-duty ones that you could lock in place - and threw it at him. He tried to dodge but he wasn't fast enough; it clipped his shoulder before it clattered on the floor. "OW!" God, she wasn't kidding about her warning.

He rubbed his shoulder as Zahra explained her Quirk some more, nodding. "Okay- so the less information you have to decipher the lie yourself, the more your Quirk has to work to let you know of it, triggering worse aches." A hiss escaped him as he wrote it down, noting the readings the device she wore was displaying. "We can do one more lie but please throw somethin' softer."

The sophomore wouldn't say it if she was done with tests for the day. If she could handle it however, he would try to come up with s lie that would be in the middle in terms of reactions. She already reacted to something obvious and something she'd know nothing about, so he figured it was possible to find something in between the two.

Like a test of her memory. Kei's eyes landed on the door behind her, something she wasn't looking at at the moment. "The door you walked through to get here is white." It wasn't, it was brown.

So... She thought the test was ending since to her everything already clear. But, hooo boy, Zahra forgot to put a consideration that Kei is in fact not hers. Before Zahra could stop him to continue, since she noticed what was happening too late, Zahra writhe in pain in the ground while throwing out several curses that even the writer don't want to write here - Intensity wise, it is actually same as before but the difference was that before she has the time to embrace it but now she caught off guard. As the pain subsides, she glares at Kei filled with hatred. I am pretty sure that I already said that we have all of the calculation. Unless you still harbor some hates to me because of the past action Zahra asks in accusation.

Zahra staggers into the nearest chair and decide to have a sit as she set out a long sigh. If I wasn't clear before, I am saying that we have enough data to continue on the mechanical standpoint Zahra explains further as she repeat to what she said before.

Oh geez, he'd really done it now. Kei thought she could handle another lie but it turned out she didn't. Forget all her demands for him not to apologize, it was practically necessary now with the pain he inflicted on her. "Oh God, I'm sorry! It's not hatred I swear- I'm not gonna say anymore." To his credit, all those statements would be true, so hopefully she'd see the sincerity in his words if the lack of her Quirk triggering wasn't convincing enough.

He reached out a hand as if he wanted to help her but pulled it back, feeling he couldn't do much else as she sat down. He eyed the readings on the device attached to her instead, face twisting as the numbers matched the previous lie. Memory didn't seem to matter then. "But yeah, that should be enough data to work with. In a way I'd say we found your pain threshold too to trigger the alarm." A strained laugh escaped him at the thought.

Which came to an awkward stop as worry settled back in. "I should have your gear ready in a week or so. For now though- are you gonna be okay? I can take ya to the infirmary if you want?"

Zahra let out a sigh of relief once she noticed that he is sincere enough with the apoloy and decide to let it slide for now. While Kei tried to lighten up the mood by laughing but honestly, with all of the pain that she endures earlier - it made her not in the mood to either smile or laugh. At least not any time soon. No, I will be okay by myself. I will come back again in a week time Zahra says as she write her phone number on a paper and gives it to Kei If you need some additional informations, hit me up on phone. I usually holding my phone almost 24/7 if I was not sleeping or in toilet Zahra quickly states before walking out of the room.
