| [attr="class","bmsk"] in blackest night... It had been a month since her incident at sea, and Jun was on the fast track to recovery. All feeling was back in her body, the soreness was not as bad, her burns had recovered and she could finally fling herself full-force back into her training. It was a long time coming, but she was so happy to be back in the saddle! And with the Newbie games she had to coach for, that was another thing she could focus on. She'd be working herself to the bone again, but that was a-okay in her book! There was just one teensy tiny little problem: there was something that she felt she was forgetting, but she couldn't quite remember what that was. It started earlier in the day when classes started, persisted through the lunch hour, and into the early afternoon when she started her physical training. Little did she know, she blew off an appointment that was made without her knowing: an appointment she had to keep up with every two weeks. Between her inability to go during her stay in the hospital, and follow-ups with them after the incident at sea, she hadn't visited the nurses office in quite some time. And if she didn't have a reason before, she did now: it sucked. She was tired of having her vitals taken, blood drawn, lights shined in her eyes, and being subjected to multiple rounds of twenty questions. Plus, she was not subjecting herself to dangerous levels of overwork lately, so she didn't have to see the nurse. Right? Yanai Hebiru |

Yanai Hebiru spent the thirty minutes planned into her schedule for her appointment with Junsuina cleaning her office and preparing her doctor's bag to set out. While she'd stay in her office for the entire time allotted to it she was not expecting the energetic woman to show up. At least if her estimation of Jun's character based on the psychological profile she'd been able to build up was correct. Noting that the clock ticked past the set time she locked her cabinets and adjusted the sign on her door to let people know she was out. While the more correct move in her opinion would be to pass by the dorms first to ask whether anyone had seen Jun, Hebiru skipped this step and instead made her way directly to the places she expected her to be. Mentally going over her remaining schedule for the day as she walked she decided to check the training fields, the gym and just in case- the locker rooms. She was ninety percent certain she'd find her in one of those locations and luckily she wasn't wrong. Spotting her patient hard at work she let her eye twitch in case anyone was watching, feigned a deep breath and put on a gentle smile. Experience told her to start by softly calling out the patient's last name to get their attention while using her tone of voice to add an undercurrent of suppressed annoyance. "Miss Kanjo~"She began in an almost sing-songy tone. Next would be confirmation of the patient's actions to ensure they felt like she was on their side and prepare her for the next part, chastisement in order to inform her of what needed to be adjusted and finally understanding and praise to reinforce the fact that they are working towards the same goal and to maintain a positive mood. According to the profile Hebiru had built up guilt may be a useful tool but would have to be used carefully and in very small doses. "It is good to see you hard at work again. I am glad to see that your spirits have fully recovered. That being said, your body has not, miss Kanjo. No matter how well you feel skipping appointments is not a habit anyone should get into. Please try not to push your limits too hard just yet, for both your own sake and that of miss Ikarashi."
She paused for a moment as if in thought before she nods."I understand the urge to improve and forget your problems for a moment. I will not chide you for doing so. If you'll have me I can assist you in setting up a gradually intensifying training regime that keeps your health in mind. You are doing well, Jun, we can tell. That does not mean you need to do everything alone. There is no shame in accepting assistance or advice when it is offered."------

| [attr="class","bmsk"] in blackest night... The hiatus had definitely taken some of the wind out of Jun, her old routine hard to do. She'd take a moment to stretch herself out, thinking aloud, "Maybe if I cut down each set by five, and extend the stretch breaks I'll be able to get back up to what I could do...-" Her line of thinking was cut short by a familiar voice. Slowly turning she'd have a realization of what she failed to do. Not to mention a sinking feeling that she'd suddenly feel. "Nurse Hebiru! Hiiii! I, uh...was just. Planning to come see you!" This was a lie. An obvious one at that. She totally forgot, but to her credit even if she did remember she wouldn't have made the effort to visit the office. She would have just done a better job hiding. "I, ah, I think I can manage! You know, I've been getting better and better, and I think I can manage my own training schedule all by my lonesome! Um, once I finish up here I can drop by the office!" This was another lie. She was fully intending to shower, then jet off to work at Rising Phoenix. Those props weren't going to build themselves. "There's no need to inconvenience yourself on my behalf, miss Kanjo. I wouldn't want to take up more of your time." Hebiru replied. "We can chat as you practice. I've received your medical records from the hospital so there is no need to do more check-ups in addition to your mandatory ones."She waved the thought away as if it were silly, her lips scrunching in understanding as she did. Many of her 'colleagues' in the medical field tended to be grossly inefficient and simply upped the amount of work they could perform in the patient's presence instead of properly using the attained data to come to a conclusion, extrapolating from there and then running more tests to fill in the gaps and confirm their hypothesis."My duty here as UA's school nurse is to ensure everyone is in the best condition possible to follow their ambitions. Rest assured I won't get in your way. I'm simply here to help you get back up to a hundred percent as quickly as is possible without causing further damage to your body." She made sure to look Jun right in the eye as she continued. "Because make no mistake, miss Kanjo, there is still a serious risk of recurring problems should your training regimen be increased too rapidly. In my professional opinion there are two trajectories we can choose to pursue."She raised two fingers, pointing to the first with her other hand and wiggling it as she talked before repeating the same process with the other one."The first is to continue on and slowly increase the intensity of your training according to official guidelines. This option will require minimal oversight but may not allow you to recover in full at the speed you desire. The second would be a more hands-on approach. If you permit me to accompany you during your training I can take your vitals through non-invasive means at various stages throughout it and my authority will allow me to adjust your regimen on the fly. So long as you are, in fact, getting better as quickly as you say this method may allow you to safely increase the intensity at a pace beyond what you would be doing yourself, albeit at the cost of having to deal with my presence."Hebiru chuckled before pointing to her third finger, still curled up. Holding her hands steady she let all outward emotion drop from her face before frowning and nodding in the direction of her bag."I'm sure you've noticed I did not mention the third option: continue setting your own pace as you have been. That is because it isn't a reasonable option. I've brought a dossier with me for your perusal containing the histories of various sportsmen and sportswomen, several soldiers and police officers as well as a single retired -and now deceased- hero. What you may find in common between each of them is that they continued their training or other activities without either sufficient medical oversight or while ignoring their mandated restrictions and have suffered for it by being rendered either incapable of continuing their chosen professions or by dying unexpectedly."Her genial smile made its way back onto her features."Of course, these are but a small part of a larger set of data and consequences vary but they are nonetheless important to keep in mind, wouldn't you say?"------

| [attr="class","bmsk"] in blackest night... Jun paused, listening to Hebiru's options as well as explanation. The dossier was something she had no interest in whatsoever, and the fact she was being compared to people that met an unfortunate end due to pushing themselves was not cool. Jun was never going to say anything about that, though. "Ah, well, Iiiii appreciate you taking the time out of your day to come check up on me! And uh, while your middle option is nice and all, that'd be super inconvenient for you! Like, I don't wanna do that to you! Someone else might need your help!" Jun began to stretch out her other arm, trying to figure out a way to weasel herself out of this interaction. She didn't see anyone nearby that could help, so that sucked. "And what are these guidelines, exactly? I, ah, I'm not one to bend the rules, but guidelines are just that: guides. You don't have to follow them to get the results you want, right? I mean, I've taken so many models apart, and made something even cooler than what existed before! I mean, so long as I'm not putting myself in the infirmary I'm doing things right, right...?" She was trying not to be difficult, but the attempt only made it seem like she was being difficult on purpose. Yanai Hebiru |

She wasn't getting through to her at all. Feigning a long suffering sigh she decided to let the matter rest. While she'd certainly been hoping to convince the student now she'd deemed the chances fairly low from the start. No matter. Pushing on at this point would cause her to instinctively push back and Hebiru knew much better than to try and force things when other approaches would work better. "If I put someone that could use assistance aside because someone else might require it I would not be able to help anyone." Hebiru tittered. "But I won't insist further. Know that if you change your mind i'll be available whenever. Should you not have it in your phone yet my number is in the student handbook and I can be reached twenty four seven. That said, I am obligated to ask that you at least keep the guidelines in mind either way."Her brow furrowed upon hearing Jun's next words. She made a mental note to request copies of the hospital's correspondence with her patients to limit the chances of miscommunications taking place. While she didn't want to assume the problem laid with them she'd rather be certain than make assumptions."Did the hospital not provide you with the guidelines when you were discharged? Oh my, how troublesome. I'm afraid you've caught me unprepared, I did not think to bring a copy with me."Scratching her cheek she pretended to consider how to continue for a moment. She let out a thoughtful hum while bending to pick her bag back up and taking the folder she did prepare out."Ah, forgive me. I almost forgot to give you the dossier. If it's inconvenient to take with you right now I'll have it delivered to your dorm room instead." She lied. As much as dropping it off at her dorm would help Jun's recovery it was likely to do the opposite for Kaida. "I'll have a copy of the guidelines ready for you by tomorrow morning. As much as they are indeed called guidelines I would however recommend following them to some extent. As much fun as converting and kitbashing is- Ah, is that word still used? I digress. As a doctor I can certainly understand how taking something apart and putting it back together can improve it. That said, miss Kanjo, I'm certain you'd be reluctant to let an amateur loose with knife and clippers on your models. A certain degree of pre-existing knowledge and experience is required to attain a good result. And while I certainly am not informed enough on your studies to tell you what to do and what not to do I'd like to advise caution. You only have one body after all and I have heard from a reputable source that replacement parts are... What's the term? OOP?"Hebiru hid her mouth behind her palm and half closed her eyes while letting out another soft laugh. How curious. She'd unintentionally gone on a bit of a rant. She put the thought aside for later consideration, if nothing else mulling over the reason for that might be an interesting way to pass the time. On the note of time she pretended to check her watch."But this old lady has taken up enough of your time. I won't bother you any further- for now. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions, no matter how small or large." She leaned in and winked. "Overtime pay is pretty good here so there is no need to keep the hour in mind when you do."------

| [attr="class","bmsk"] in blackest night... If there was one thing that could make Jun turn white it was the thought of her needing "replacement parts". Well, that and letting someone else take a crack at her models, but that was neither here nor there. She'd let her arm drop to her side, flexing her fingers briefly before spinning the band of the ring, thinking for a moment. "Um, Nurse Hebiru...okay, look, uh, I technically... died while on that assignment, and...and if it'll at least put your mind at ease, I'll go through a brief examination. But the numbers I've been hitting lately have been a lot lower since before the incident, and..." She looked down, frowning. "If I don't push myself, up to the point of injury...I'm afraid that the weakness I've carried most of my life will overtake me. But you're right, I can't afford any um...*replacements* as you put it. So...at least for today, let's just get this over with..." Yanai Hebiru |

"I understand your concerns, miss Kanjo. That is why I am here to help you get back up to full strength." Hebiru nodded, slightly surprised at how much her words affected the woman. She'd have to add it to the profile. "I'm not here to slow you down nor to get in your way. Once we have a proper trajectory you will be able to improve at a much faster pace than you would yourself."In truth UA's concerns were almost as much about the young hero succumbing to their worries and never reaching her potential again as they were about her overdoing it. A fine balance had to be maintained and there were few people more qualified to assist than Yanai Hebiru."For now let us keep things simple. While we can't establish a baseline properly due to you already being in the middle of exercising if you'd allow me to take your vitals now we will at the very least have something to go off. I'll then take them again after each set to see how they change and with some luck I can prepare an updated plan for you by tomorrow."Tapping her lip while thinking she took a moment before clearing her throat."If I am to be honest however I believe it would be much more efficient to wear a monitor while exercising. A wrist band to record your blood pressure, heart rate and body temperature for example would allow you to train at your own discretion and should you agree to send the records to me I can simply text or mail you updates for your consideration as well as respond quickly on the off chance something goes wrong." She pulled a pen out of a pocket within her coat and slung her bag over her arm while rummaging through it to find her notepad. "If you'd like I can provide you with a doctor's note to have the support specialists prioritize your order."------

| [attr="class","bmsk"] in blackest night... That...sounded incredibly reasonable. So long as she didn't have to do anything crazy, she could easily submit her vitals. "Alright..." she says, stepping off the field to approach Hebiru. "That's simple enough. I dunno how long I'll be out here, so..." She'd pause for a moment, thinking. "Um, I don't have one of those monitor things. I've never considered getting one, and I don't really know how much they are...are they super expensive...?" If it was something to keep her visits to the infirmary to a minimum then it would definitely be something she could look at doing. Not that she hated the nurse, just...waste of time to her. Taking Jun's vitals didn't take all that long. More than a decade of experience made itself known and within minutes Yanai was filling out the results on her clipboard. While it was far from enough to draw a proper conclusion from nothing jumped out to her as particularly worrisome. "We're well funded, miss Kanjo. The school will cover the costs. After all, it's bad PR if you drop dead in the middle of training." She answered with a soft chuckle in the same tone someone would suggest it could be a good idea to bring an umbrella because it might rain. "But I digress. I don't have anything planned for the next hour or two so please don't mind me. It'll be good for me to get some fresh air once in a while."She spun her pen between her fingers before gesturing for Jun to continue. All the while she made sure to watch her from the corner of her eye to see if there were any movements or twitches beyond the norm- or worse. Her gaze briefly went up, drawn to the sky above as a flock of birds flew by. It never ceased to intrigue her. The intuition ingrained in their genes that allowed them to fly, the instinct that led them to move in groups, flying down invisible paths plotted out time and time again throughout the ages. Looking back down at the field she spotted a few students performing similar exercises as miss Kanjo and wondered how much of it was ingrained and how much of it was chosen by themselves.
Above all, she wondered whether she'd ever be able to follow along a similar path without it feeling off.
