Lights danced across the expanse of the club's dance floor. Bodies were twisting, turning, and gyrating atop one another. Drinks were flowing, people dancing, passion burning, and life exploding. All their responsibilities were left at the door. Here, Tokyo came to break away from the monotonous and the dull, yet watching from his perch beside the upstairs offices, Elias felt only numb. Club Nirvana was bustling with life, yet the man only felt of death. He leaned his head back, looking up to the ceiling, and removed a syringe from from the case his left hand was holding. Placing it above his left eye, he'd press the plunger down and let the liquids flow. It was something new. Something to get the heart pumping, the blood flowing, and the brain in a better mood. For a while at least. Hopefully, this one would work. All else had failed, and there was little left to entertain him these days.
With the Hibernacula, the club below the club, secured, and its guests free to trade in information and secrets, Elias was free to wander Nirvana, but it was all so... boring. All of the grinding, writhing, drinking, drugs, and sex lost their meaning. He needed something new. Some excitement. The problem was, as always, where to find it?

Wherever there was a party, Rui was sure to be there! Always on the hunt for more besties, the city was like, the prime place to find interesting people! Not only that, if she wanted to improve her quirk, she couldn't simply rely on its passive regeneration, she needed to actively practice it on others. After stumbling her way up to the bar, already plenty wasted Rui confidently hopped on top of a stool so she could look over the counter. Her question was simple, she was here to pick up the most popular drink they sold. See Rui was a girl on a mission, on a mission to get results and make first impressions, and she was like, the queen of first impressions!! ''Thanks bestie!'' She waved at the bartender with her free hand as she grabbed the drink, not for her, but one she would offer to her next bestie. Someone who didn't come here with a group, someone who wasn't preoccupied with someone else. Yeah, she needed one of those brooding loner types. Perfect for her experiment, and in her experience, they were usually much more eager to become her besties too. It took some looking around, but eventually she saw the perfect candidate on their perch. Unwrapping the skin on her hand just a smidge, Rui let the tiny vial of poison she had smuggled out slide into her hand, before emptying the contents into the drink. ''Hiii bestie!!! Isn't this club totes the best in the city? It is if you ask me, I'm Rui by the way, here this is for you-'' There was no subtlety, no tact, just unabashed and raw Rui energy as she approached Elias with a big fanged grin. ''You're very tall! How do you do it, tell me your secrets! ~'' She beamed, practically craning her neck up to look at Elias, since she only stood at 4'9 tall. Regarding the drink, it wasn't exactly hard to tell that it had been tampered with, seeing as the color was a lot more sickly than how it would usually look. Elias

In an alley not far from Club NirvanaHe was on his knees, trembling. His fingers curled in front of his face. His eyes flush red with the strain that came with terror. A coppery smell hung in the air, blood. His compatriot lay on the ground, sightless eyes staring off to the side. A man in a suit stepped away from the corpse with his silenced weapon, removing the cylinder and slipping it back into a case. Two other men stood in silent vigil, their hands crossed neatly at their waist. It wasn't them that the terrified man looked at. No. It was the woman in the rebreather mask sitting in the back of the van that had backed in to block the alley. Her breath came like a rattling sound that accompanied something more haunting. A steady ticking sound, like the sound of a clock. "Ishtar," He breathed, his eyes lingering on her face before he broke into a rambling and desperate explanation, "P-please! Just give me one more chance! M-my quirk doesn't really work in situations like that! I had to bail. I j-just need a bit more capital, just a little!" Ishtar didn't move, not her eyes, not her head, not a strand of hair. "The first one was free. Wasted. You took out another, I offered you advice, you ignored it. Wasted. You took out the third to pay off the second, three wishes Rimu."He clenched his fists, foam bubbling at the side of his mouth, his mind fraying in terror, "Please! Have some sympathy for a fellow villain! Don't kill me! We're on the same side!" Ishtar didn't blink, her glowing eyes only flickered as something inside them clicked and adjusted. Her voice rasped in a low hiss, "You poor thing. You don't get it. I'm not going to kill you," A text chime rang on one of the men's phones and he checked it before nodding at her. "Your immediate friends, your family, and your villain associates are dead, Rimu. You will survive them, suffer well and pay your debts to me for the rest of your life."All hope drained from the man's eyes, his hands fell to his sides, the his fingers twitching helplessly. He gurgled out a sound as Ishtar got to her feet, "I'm done here, collect him."The two men waiting hurried over to grab him while the third regarded her with a look; "In a hurry, ma'am? Hot date?" She snorted out a laugh through her respirator, "No, but there's a banger of a club nearby. Wanted to check it out."
Sonya threw her arms into the air and let out a delighted cheer, the music thrumming in her ears. The lights flashed around her as she sank back into her seat and set down the latest shot glass face down. She leaned back in the seat and waved away some cigarette smoke that wafted her way. "Now this is what I'm talking about!" She sighed, kicking her legs out and crossing them beneath the table before leaning forward to watch a few of the passersby. The surgeon she'd picked up when she came into the club was already dozed out to her left, she glanced the woman's way and nodded at one of her security guards posing as another clubber. She'd be well taken care of for going shot for shot with her. Sonya slipped out of her seat and beamed, hands on her hips. Now that she had some drink in her it was time to have some fun. There had do be someone interesting around here. She ignored the worried glances from her security team, they knew what was coming next. As if on cue, the music hit a crescendo and the lights flashed. With that, she was gone. Three seemingly unrelated men groaned in unison. Here we go again. She made a beline through the throngs towards the man she saw currently being targeted by a girl even shorter than her. She'd never seen a man look that done with life in a club this hopping. She wouldn't have it! The partygirl CEO strode into view, white blouse and white jeans paired with white pumps. She stopped next to the short girl, boy she was small, was she old enough to even be here? Sonya squinted at her curiously before cracking into a grin and shaking her head, "Don't bother, check him out, he's all frowns and sundowns," She teased before turning his way, "Sonya."Elias Rui Matsui

Speech is silver and silence is gold. Be that as it may Bakuretsu might as well have found El Dorado with how little she'd been able to squeeze out of people in the last few days. She needed more information and she needed it fast enough that she could act before everything went to hell. So it was that she found herself here. Club Nirvana. Of course her real goal was to visit Hibernacula once more but there was no point in making it look like she was in a rush. Especially since she was. Retsu didn't exactly open any history books but she'd heard some ancient Chinese general had something similar to say on the subject. Given that said country had been messing around with explosives for nearly a millennia she was willing to take their word for it, not in the least because it happened to be along the lines of what she was already thinking. That it just so happened to involve her having fun before getting back to the grind certainly tipped the odds further into favor of said decision. "Open a tab and make me a Sazerac." Retsu offhandedly ordered one of the bartenders while sliding over her credit card and an ID that'd let her get the drink. She didn't know whether it was her real one and quite frankly she didn't care. She'd stopped keeping track of her age when she turned fourteen and had no idea exactly how old she was by now. Either way Retsu had more important things to do than sweat over small stuff like that. Scanning the crowd her gaze roamed through the club, momentarily stopping on several people before moving on from each in turn. She was far from the only one in the building checking other people out albeit she doubted many had quite the same intentions as her in doing so. Then again, nightlife could be akin to a hunt in more ways than one and not unlike how it was for Retsu right now, the club was only a small part of that process. Having spotted several people of interest -some by themselves, others clustered into little groups- Bakuretsu took a moment to consider which avenue to try first. Eventually her eye settled on the white haired man on the first floor that was now being joined by...Was that Rui? Well, Retsu supposed that was as good of a way in as any. Sighing as she stood up from her seat she downed her drink, ordered an espresso martini to take with her and made her way up the stairs. By the time she reached the top the duo had turned into a trio. She could practically feel an aura of threat hanging around them. Instincts were how you made it through the day when you were powerless in a world where people could mess with time or sneeze apart skyscrapers and right now, Retsu's instincts were screaming at her. This group was made up of people that killed as easily as they breathed, were a danger to any that crossed them and would brook no disrespect, plus Rui.A smirk that was closer to a snarl than a smirk settled on Bakuretsu's face. "Yo, y'all fall head first into a vat of bleach?"------

Pitifully weak. The latest concoction passed between street dealers didn't do a thing to light his fire. An empty lighter against the gas. Useless. Elias sighed, leaning against the rails and watching the crowds pulsate with life. Lips locked, smoke vacated the lungs, more drops falling freely into his patrons' eyes. Business as usual. He could watch life unfold and flow below, but couldn't feel it himself. A change in tune, some club synth dropping to something heavier. One of his favorites actually. That had earned the slightest crook of a smile, an amused smirk more than anything. ''Hiii bestie!!! Isn't this club totes the best in the city? It is if you ask me, I'm Rui by the way, here this is for you-''Elias swiveled his head halfway toward his new guest. He eyes her up and down. Cute enough. The horns held his attention for the briefest moment, he considered what quirk might explain them, and the many uses they might serve. His gaze shifted to the two guards by the stairs, who shrugged, then returned to the girl. The Hibernacula wouldn't permit such free access to himself and his benefactors, but upstairs, in Nirvana, well, women had a way of wandering up to the offices alongside the club's owner. He couldn't blame security for letting her through. "Appreciated, dear," he grabbed the drink, eyeing its contents. It shared the appearance, and perhaps composition, of a sickly sludge. He downed the glass in a single go. Below, the song hit the first of its chorus, the masses jumping up and down in unison to its beat, energy seeping into the upper levels. "Burning alive, I cannot breathe this poison air filled with lies!" Perhaps not the most inapt lyrics considering the concoction he'd just downed. An eyebrow raised as he felt the sting against his innards. Something searing crept up his gut and flowered across his body. Yeah, she definitely spiked it with something. And that - was interesting. It required every ounce of strength to keep himself composed. With one hand now in the air, he gestured for one of the guards to approach, and so the more muscular of the two by the stairway approached.
"Great genes, if I had to hazard a guess," he answered Rui, "if you'll excuse me a moment."
Elias approached the guard and whispered something his command. Their hands met, and perhaps an observant eye would catch two red threads tying around Elias's and the guard's arm, then plucking each of them with a small needle, which then disappeared expeditiously.
His vigor renewed, Elias would wave the man away, and return to Rui. "So, was there something you needed, angel face?" He started with the horned demon. Now, how would she react when it became clear her ploy had failed and she was in the lion's den? Would it be fear? Surprise? Defiance? He had found his entertainment. A plot. And a cat now perhaps deprived her claws.
Only, they were interrupted by a third party. Again, his gaze was cast on the nearby guard, a quizzical lift of the eyebrow. Okay, he brought companions up to the office fairly often but now they were marching right on up. What were these guys paid for again? The smirk had long abandoned his face, a return to the monotony of the moment. His assailant now had access to a clear out from the situation. It was always easier to maneuver with more witnesses about.
"Elias, owner of this fine establishment," he offered with the slightest smile, "a pleasure to meet you. Now, is there anything I may assist you ladies with?"
Well, at a minimum, he was now entertaining two attractive specimens. The newest addition to their trifecta was as much a ghost in complexion as he. And not a moment later, the trio grew into a quartet. He would have given the guard another look, but maybe the brute was trying to do him a favor - a band of beautiful ladies marching on up toward his office? It might have been the start of some fun had the first of the group not tried to poison him, a point Elias was not quick to forget.
"Vampires, actually," he answered. A practiced gaze met his own in the third girl. She was aware of something, whether it was the identities of those she approached or a simple eye for danger, he couldn't be sure. That snarl, however, didn't hide it. "Come now, we don't bite hard."
"Once more, I am Elias Kamiya, owner of Club Nirvana, may I ask for your collective introductions?" Sonya had already given her name, but there was a new addition to the group. "Otherwise, how may I help the three of you? I hope you find the music, the drinks, the bliss of our establishment, to your liking."

Rui watched with wide eyes as he took the drink, eagerly waiting for him to fall for her little scheme. Was he able to tell that it was poisoned? Surely not! A cute woman had just handed him a drink and why would she deliberately try to poison him? She grinned when he downed it without question, the music thumping through her as she was eager to reveal why she had even tried to do this in the first place. ''No waay ~ it's always genes.'' She crossed her arms across her chest. She was just about to unravel her skin and use her quirk when Elias walked over to one of his guards. Wait, that wasn't in the script. Was he going to kick her out for poisoning him? While an observant eye might notice the thread, Rui was far too busy trying to make out what they were whispering. Not that she could given the music in this club was loud and she wasn't moving from her spot. When he walked back she looked up at him. Was there something she needed? YES!! She had wanted to show off her quirk to establish how cool and valuable she was, but Elias looked just fine now, how did he do it? Was he immune to poison?? ''How did you do that?'' She turned to look back at the guard, then back to Elias. ''I totes poisoned you, but you're okay. How?'' She would try giving his hand a poke with her finger. ''But never mind that!'' Dang. Maybe she could start a fight and get someone to stab him, that way she could heal him after, something like that... She turned to look back up at Sonya as she approached. ''That's not true! My bestie here just needed some cheering up so I totes got him the yummiest drink they sell!'' The fact that he said he was the owner went right over her head. ''Yes! What brings you to this club?'' The fact that she hadn't been dragged out by security yet intrigued her. Maybe something fun would happen if she stayed around at this club? The vampires comment from Elias made her giggle. ''Bomb bestie!'' She raised her arms above her head when Retsu entered the scene. So many interesting people all gathered in one place, she couldn't have asked for a better night! Well, maybe only if she had actually been able to use her quirk on Elias. That way he would have been totes impressed and think she was super cool! She grinned as she was asked for an introduction, spinning around on one foot. ''I'm Ruuuui-'' She stopped and posed with a finger pointed up at the ceiling. ''-Matsui! This establishment is totes to my liking tall bestie! I literally come here every day when it's open 25/8!'' She smiled at Elias. ''I know you.'' She pointed at Retsu, then over at Sonya. ''But I don't know you.''EliasSonya ChernovnaBakiri Retsu

dont fret, dearie Sonya was about to lay in with a bit more teasing when someone else approached to join their small group. Now here they were, the pretty man that if she didn't know better was the owner of the establishment. Then there was the tiny little thing with the horns, she was very curious about what her quirk was. Now the purple haired woman approached, they were all so young. Ah, it made Sonya feel old. The sigh in her chest vanished as the newcomer dropped her own quip and the CEO's lip twitched.
She turned her head slowly towards the girl and sipped at her own drink, "You're cute but a bit too young to be asking that kind of question of me. If you must know, besides my eyes, I'm all natural," She said flatly, her glowing mechanical eyes twisting, turning, and clicking now and then as she looked the young woman over before shrugging with amusement. "Got a name, dearie?"
Her attention was pulled away as the man made his way from their group to do something with the guard. Sonya's eyes narrowed a fraction and her smile widened even more. Oh this guy was interesting too. Maybe it was the nature of her quirk, but she had a hard time detecting how dangerous other quirk users were. It was a disadvantage that she thought about often. When he returned and made his vampire comment, she tittered out a laugh, "Speak for yourself! I'm not satisfied if I don't leave a mark!"
She sipped at her drink again and tilted her head in acknowledgement when he introduced himself; "Elias this place is a blast, truly, but I think I understand why you seem so out of it. Same old same old, mm?"
That was when the wild girl chimed in, acknowledging that she knew the others. Connected? Acquaintances? Her way of speaking was adorable though! Precious.
Sonya blinked, "Oh my, I'm sorry, I didn't introduce myself properly. Sonya Chernovna," Sonya said, not bothering to hide her identity. It wasn't like the general public would believe she'd come out here. She held out a gloved hand to shake with the girl. "Have you considered modeling, dearie? You'd be a natural I'd say."

Retsu barked out a laugh at Elias's reply and craned an eyebrow at Sonya's, briefly looking her up and down before she refocused on the conversation. Her eye had lingered on the woman's prosthetic ones for a moment but she quickly put the matter aside. Even if she ever decided to replace her left eye she probably wouldn't be able to afford anything like that anyway. "Bakiri Retsu, local fixer. Saw the pipsqueek wander up here and wondered what that was all about." She shrugged, not showing that she felt somewhat slighted by the fact that Elias hadn't heard of her now that she knew he was the one in charge of Hibernacula. Her smile twitched. She'd take it as a challenge. Before long they'd all know her. "So, what are y'all up to anyway?" Retsu asked as she leaned her back against the railing and let one of her forearms rest atop it. She took a sip of her drink, enjoying the moment of clarity and boost of energy it sent through her system while her eye flicked from person to person. Taking in their body language she primed herself for action in case anything went wrong. They didn't seem like they'd explode into violence but she'd seen appearances be misleading before and Elias had mumbled something to a bouncer shortly before she'd reached the top of the stairs. Letting herself simply nod along she let her eye unfocus as her gaze ran over the people below, trying to see if there was any movement within the crowd that felt different from the norm. A person could be smart but groups always moved like sheep, or waves. If there was trouble coming she couldn't spot it coming their way at the very least.
It didn't stop her from feeling decidedly under equipped. A necessity given that she had intended to visit the Hibernacula without trying to cause trouble but grating nevertheless. She doubted the knife hidden within its sheath on her back would be enough to hold up in a fight if things went sideways. Still, she supposed it'd have to be enough. Not like she had anything else to use at the moment anyway.
But she digressed. Turning her head away from the crowd below and back to the group she sipped her drink again, taking comfort in the cooling energy it seemed to hold. ------ Tags: Elias Rui Matsui Sonya Chernovna Bakiri Retsu

"Trade secret, angel, but don't think there isn't a conversation ahead in regards to that little stunt," he answered Rui upon his return, fixing his gloves after the use of his quirk, then turning his attention back to Sonya at her follow-up to his vampiric comment.
"Noted," he smirked.
"Ah, well then, Ms. Retsu, Chernovna, and Rui, may I interest in you all in another round? It appears you've taken a liking to your drinks. I'm glad and would be even more so slip another in each of your hands should you desire it," he offered, aware that the CEO & the hired gun had been sipping away at their drinks of choice, even if the little witch had opted not to.
Of course he was familiar with their names. One did not operate the Hibernacula without knowing such things. The players big and small. If their names were uttered in the lower levels of his fine establishment, he knew of them.
With a wave of the hand, one of the servers below, a young fellow with dark hair, changed course and made his way upstairs.
"Ah, Mawatari, be a good lad and take my guests' drinks order would you."
"Of course, sir," the server would approach, this one not asking for I.D., waiting for any orders.
Whether they chose to order more drinks or not, Elias would continue, looking to Bakiri, "In any case, dear, it would seem we're all just getting to know each other unless there is business intended that I am not aware of," he eyed each of his guests.
Meanwhile, below, the party raged on. Dancing, singing, drinking, affection, life. A few were buzzed out of their minds at this point. Swinging this way and that, thrashing about. A good night for business - so far.

She grinned when Elias not only called her angel, like, wow! No one ever called her that!! But he also clearly noticed her little stunt and wanted to talk about it. Did that mean she was hired?? He didn’t even see her quirk, but he could probably sense from the immaculate vibes that she was giving off that this Rui Matsui was someone super cool and special and pretty like an angel. Rui furrowed her brow at Sonya. “I am cute, but I’m NOT young! I’m totes very old actually, bestie, I just have a good skincare routine.” She pouted, staring up at Sonya’s eyes because of her answer, as if she was hoping to deduce what they were just from silent staring. Quirk? Mechanical? She wanted to touch them but Sonya probably wouldn’t want that and she was so tall too there was no way Rui could reach. She turned to Retsu and pointed at Elias with her thumb. “I was just saying hi to my bestie here, he looked so lonely all the way up here!” She smirked. “Another?” Her eyes lit up before she nodded her head up and down very fast. When Mawatari was ready to take her order, Rui ordered the strongest mixed drink they could make her, despite her small stature. The pain of having a powerful healing quirk meant she had to drink harder than most other people to really feel a buzz. “Sonya Cheronna.” She repeated, absolutely butchering her foreign last name. “You think?” She smiled and shook her hand, tempted to unwrap the skin around her hand to heal Sonya for the compliment, but she didn’t want to cause a scene yet. “I have but it wouldn’t be fair for the other models.” She proclaimed confidently. She had never actually tried modelling or thought about it, mainly because her life was so steeped in crime already and that was a ton of fun in its own right. “Yeah totes Retsu bestie!” She clapped her hands together lightly. “Just getting to know each other.” She looked up at Sonya again. “What happened to your eyes? Can I touch them?” Bakiri RetsuEliasSonya Chernovna

dont fret, dearie Sonya loved the chaotic energy of the small group that had formed here, she slipped back a step and leaned against a wall, not wanting to sit right away. She sipped at her own drink before returning Retsu's glance with a wink of her own. Something about their faces reminded her of something. Her mind began to connect to the ASTA servers. Were they heroes of some kind? She doubted it. Where had she seen them...
She glanced at Elias when he spoke and shrugged in agreement, "I'm not interested in doing any business tonight, I just got off work so to speak. Saving the world isn't easy."
She chuckled and shook her head, sipping her drink again before glancing at the adorable Rui, her smile widened, "Aww, you are adorable, what do you do for your skin? I must know. When you get to my age it starts to become a bit of a worry," She said with a dramatic sigh before bursting into laughter at the girl's comment about it not being fair to the other models. "Who ever said modeling was about being fair, dearie? Strut your stuff! Dominate the stage! That's what it's all about, the people playing fair are the one's losing money," She explained, grinning ear to ear.
She blinked, "My eyes? I'm afraid you can't touch them, they're very precious to me, but I can show you something fun," She cooed and knelt down just a bit to get at eye level with Rui. She pulled out her phone and opened up the app she used to control her eye color. She could mentally do it, but it was more fun this way. Her eyes went from pink to blue to green to red, swiping back and forth across the spectrum.
"I lost them when I was a little girl, Rui dear," She explained.

Retsu sent an acknowledging nod Elias's way. Given that he was the owner that should be more than enough for him to have a rough idea of why she was here. She followed it up with a wave of her hand as if attempting to dissipate the aura of 'work' interrupting their leisurely meeting. "Ah'm in no rush." She lied to Elias before turning to Mawatari. "Get me a Sazerac."If the owner was gonna treat them to a drink Retsu sure as hell wasn't gonna hold back. Besides, she had the feeling she'd need something strong to deal with both this conversation and whatever came after. The night was yet young and she had the distinct feeling not all of it was gonna be fun and games. It never was. "Savin' the world, ey? Fancy y'rself a hero?" Retsu asked Sonya with a narrowed eye and a raised eyebrow. She took another sip of her espresso martini, the influx of energy and calmth allowing her to relax her expression just enough that hostility was replaced with cynical reservation. Comparing the woman's features to what she knew from the hero world she drew a blank. Sure, outfits changed a bunch but with the woman right in front of her Retsu'd think she'd be able to match a face to a costume. Ah well, wasn't like she put all that much time into keeping track of everyone strutting around in spandex anyway. If this 'Sonya' seemed so eager to mention her work Retsu was sure she wouldn't mind elaborating on her words. "Huh, handy." She spouted before her mind caught up to her mouth when she saw Sonya's eyes change color. Unbidden her own injured one twitched below the eyepatch keeping it safe from the club's flashing lights. She wondered if she... ...Nah, that shit was bound to be way out of her price range. Crossing her arms over her chest to ignore what that thought did to her she was not gonna acknowledge her interest in such a thing any further. Besides, if it could be controlled from a phone who was to say whatever was seen through it couldn't be displayed on one as well? Yeah, Retsu wasn't going to give anyone an in to one of her senses like that. Not on her life. Pushing it all down to focus on what she was here for she tilted her head back and downed the rest of her drink before the next one arrived. "So, given that none a' us seem up for doin' anythin' remotely serious fer now what say y'all our little coven go finds a place to sit? Railing here's comfy 'n all but ah've been on mah feet enough fer today."

| The Bird of Hermes is my name Eat My WINGS TO KEEP ME TAME |
The thought had crossed Elias's mind. Between the four of them, it appeared there were only five functioning eyes. Well, naturally made, god-given eyes, though the man also didn't know what lay below Retsu's eyepatch. Just for show? In any case, had either of the two wished their natural ocular abilities restored, they needed only to make a wish.
"Oh, but of course," he offered Retsu as Mawatari returned with their drinks, "would the three of you prefer our VIP seating or a visit to-"
"KAMIYA!" A deep, gravelly voice bellowed from the floor below. "KAMIYA GET YOUR ASS OUT HERE!"
Elias sighed, one of his security team rushing up the stairs and to his side, whispering in his ear, "apologies, sir. Hachiro tried to turn them away, but given your directions last time, he thought it best to avoid unnecessary escalation."
"No worries, Ryota. Have your team sequester the lot," replied lowly.
Another unfortunate obstacle when running two clubs in one building. The Hibernacula was sacred ground. Such rowdiness was never tolerated. Nirvana, however, wasn't afforded the same resources as the club below. Security had to be competent, but not unnaturally so. Capable, yet not to such extents it might rouse suspicion. He had to keep his guests safe but couldn't utilize the true extent of his resources to do so. He could, however, further his own reputation. Fear. It was the only language some brutes understood.
"Excuse me, ladies. I shall return in but a moment."
An interesting assortment of characters that had flocked about the wish-maker. Hopefully, they would continue to prove entertaining. But business always came first, so Elias approached the railing, setting his hands atop the cold metal.
"Ah, Mr. Tamotsu, to what do I owe the pleasure?" Elias announced, the music lowered just enough that the two parties might hear each other. The DJs knew what was expected of them.
"QUIT YOUR BULLSHIT, KAMIYA, YOU KNOW WHAT THIS IS ABOUT! YOU CHEATED US! WE WANT WHAT'S OURS!"
Cheated? The Wish-Maker was no cheat. Tamotsu and his ilk were part of the Skull Riders. A band of biker thugs. A fair amount of muscle numbered their ranks, but they had a definitive lack of brains among all that brawn. They had made a wish, a little luck on a recent operation they ran, one that ended with their head honcho's arrest. Elias disclosed every detail. He could make their lives easier, not guarantee their success. In exchange for his help, they had paid in treasures of immense value. Their stupidity had cost them during the operation, though, when the brazen use of quirks caught the attention of a nearby hero. It would soon cost them more.
"Please, Tamotsu, I'm sure this is but a simple misunderstanding. Join me in my office, and we'll discuss your grievances."
"DISCUSS? ABSOLUTELY NOT. YOU GIVE US WHAT'S OURS OR WE'RE GONNA HAVE PROBLEMS!" The brute continued to shout, drawing the attention of yet more guests.
The security team inched their way in around Tamotsu's people, ready to make their move if needed. Unfortunately, Tamotsu proved more stupid than even Elias believed possible. He lunged, grabbing none other than Mawatari, who had just made his way back downstairs, and pulled him in close as if to hurt the young employee. This permitted the Wish-Maker to act.
Elias's tone chilled, his gaze narrowed, and venom dripped from his words. "Oh, Tamotsu," he muttered under his breath, "what has wisdom done to prove itself your enemy so?"
Elias's right hand lifted from the rail and hung lazily ahead of him. A moment later, dozens of red threads sprung from his fingers and wrapped around the thug below, prying him off the ground and freeing Mawatari from his grasp.
Tamotsu was drawn up into the air, held just a few feet from the railing by Elias's threads. "You do not threaten my employees or my guests. If you are unhappy with the conclusion of our business, for whatever reason, including your ilk's ineptitude, you bring it to me and me alone."
Elias was as a cobra prepared to gouge its prey. If the remainder of Tamotsu's idiotic band stirred trouble, security would now be in place between them and the guests, but that would not disarm the danger entirely. Hopefully, the matter ended here.
When this was all over, Elias would need one of his people to make a wish - cloud the minds of those who had seen his quirk in action. It wasn't a perfectly foolproof plan, but it usually worked.

When Rui wasn't talking her head off, she was taking long sips of her drink, looking around at all her new besties with big, curious eyes. If Sho could see her now, he would be so impressed at how good she was at making friends! ''You save the world for a living? It's from the birds, isn't it? They're totes planning something, I'm telling you!'' She nodded insistently. ''My secret?'' She grinned wildly. ''It's a secret! Just kidding I'll tell you! It has to do with my super amazing cool quirk, it's actually really awesome btw!! I can show you if you get hurt.'' She liked Sonya, especially because she was complimenting her so much, Elias too! She had an angel face and she could be a model, wow! What a confidence boost! ''I like that!'' She giggled. ''I'll become a model and make lots of money!'' She grinned back. She frowned when she wasn't allowed to touch Sonya's eyes, but she didn't say anything as she was being promised something fun in exchange. ''You're very tall.'' She noted as the woman knelt down to her level. Seeing them up close just made her want to touch her eyes more. Rui gasped and clapped her hands together. Mesmerized by the light show and completely buying into the fact that Sonya was changing her eye colors through an app. ''Can I do that?'' She looked around frantically before pointing at Retsu. ''Bestie! You'll have to help me lose my eyes! -Wait, how did you lose them?'' She whipped her head back to Sonya. ''If I was there you might not have lost them.''She grinned up at Retsu as she held her glass up. ''I'm totes getting wasted! Bottoms up!'' She chugged the rest of her drink, only looking at Elias out of the corner of her eye when he was addressed from below. Being so used to being the instigator of trouble, especially among her much more responsible siblings, Rui simply held her hands up as she looked at the others. ''That's not me.'' She didn't even know any Kamiyas. She blinked her eyes as Elias excused himself. ''With more drinks?'' She couldn't help but get curious and scurry her way over to the railing too, peeking out from behind Elias as he spoke to the angry plebeians below them. She was engrossed in the drama of their back and forth, but couldn't help but chime in briefly to defend Elias, struggling to climb on top of the railing as she shouted back. ''HE SAID IT WAS A MISUNDERSTANDING, BUZZ OFF LOSERS!'' With all the explosive anger and intimidating aura of a chihuahua picking a fight. By the time that Elias made his move, Rui was sitting on top of the railing, a bit off to the side, laughing and applauding his magic trick. As Tamotsu was being held in place, she made sure to stick her tongue out at him. ''Do we fight them now? Someone gimme a knife!'' She was by no means a fighter, but that didn't stop Rui from wanting front row seats to this hot mess. Pushing herself off the railing, Rui landed with a thud, her body unmoving for a brief second as her quirk caught up to the relatively light injuries. Once it did, she stood up and dusted herself off like nothing happened. ''Give us all your money! Or Timtim here gets it!'' She looked at Tamotsu's henchmen while pointing up at their supposed boss. dont fret, dearie
"The birds?" Sonya laughed, "I'm afraid not," She said, wanting to lie and say something to entertain the girl but unfortunately her complex wouldn't allow it. She smiled warmly at Rui, sliding a business card into her hand, "Come see me sometime, I'll take good care of you, just be nice to my staff. They're good people," She warned, offering the adorable little bean a wink.
That was when Rui asked how Sonya lost her eyes, she hesitated, but she didn't have any reason not to answer. Her honesty complex twisted her gut once and she cleared her throat before something in her head relaxed her, she shrugged, "They melted right out of my head when I was a little girl, tearducts and all," She said with absolute honesty.
Sonya sniffed a bit at Retsu's reaction to her words and sipped at her drink, "Hardly a hero, just someone who makes weapons for them," She shrugged noncomittally, it wasn't like she wasn't well known. Her face was on magazine covers on the regular, but she didn't make a point to drop that kind of info if she could avoid it. People acted differently when they knew that much. That said, there were plenty of manufacturers out there, she was just a dime a dozen in this conversation. She smirked at the intensity of Retsu's expression, "Stare any harder and I might think you want something, dearie," She said cooly, raising an eyebrow,
She turned and canted her head to the right, her eyes returning to that intense hot-pink color, "Want me to make you a new eye? Might give you a discount since you're cute."
Retsu suggested they sat and Sonya nodded, "Sounds lovely," she crowed, as if her earlier flirtation had been breath on the wind.
A deep voice roiled up towards them and her eyes shifted in the direction of the shouting. Her smile remained on her face, even while her glass fogged a little in her hands, cold washing over it. She smiled at him and nodded when he departed, sipping and going through facial recognition in her connection to the ASTA network. The raised voice continued and Sonya walked towards the railing, leaning against it and watching the exchange. She tilted her head thoughtfully, "Hm....~"
"How are you going to cover this one up?" She murmured just as Rui moved to posture against the men. The next moment she had jumped down amidst them. A bunch of armed men around Rui? She didn't know if the girl was truly powerful or not, but she'd already decided she was fond of the girl. Her motherly instincts kicked in the moment Rui playfully offered her threat, unaware that a monster was standing on the balcony.
Sonya dumped her presence in the direction of those present, like a sleeping dragon in a cave that had just stirred into momentary wakefulness, it was as if all they could see were her glowing eyes and fill the icy chill of death. An instinctive reaction to the presence of imminent expiration. Bloodlust directed at the men around Taomatsu, daring them to do anything but what little Rui said. She sipped at her drink, "Everything alright down there, Elias dear?" She called.
