Kamiya Nadeshiko I shall subvert this unwanted reality

| i am revision, the failsafe "So, I have a plan..." A steely-eyed, middle-aged man stated with mixed degrees of confidence. "We'll manage to pull this off without trouble so long as we all follow the plan."
Firebrand, a mercenary with salt-and-pepper hair, a finely pointed beard, and a fiery temperament as hot as the flames he generates from his finger tips, laid out a hand-drawn map suitable for a middle-schooler, but functional.
He was not alone in the dark corner of an abandoned warehouse used as the meeting room. A slightly younger woman with plenty of tattoos named Loli-pop Danger Girl, lived up to her name with a trademark loli-pop, a delinquent attitude, and a penchant for violence with blunt objects leaned up against the overturned cable spool they were using as a table and let out an unimpressed huff. Her quirk allowed her to convert sugar into bubbles that'd pop into sticky substances that required great strength to escape from.
"You make this?" A young, broad-shouldered man with more traps than neck, asked. "I like it."
The Gorrillo Bandit, very much like a gorilla, stood out with a wide forehead, jaw like a cinder block, and suspiciously long arms that looked plenty capable of bending steel beams up like plastic straws, was certainly pleased with the work of artistic genius that Firebrand had put down. He attempted to pick it up, but Firebrand slapped his fingers away with a little fire.
"Yes, I made it, and it is going to help us do what we were hired for," Firebrand replied. "We're going to steal a ship."
But those three were not the only ones in attendance. A final member of the party had been gathered. Bakiri Retsu, a mercenary like the others, had been hired to steal a ship belonging to a struggling company recently acquired in a massive swathes of merges by an over-sees company.
The company left the freighter and plenty of valuable goods sitting just off the coast with little more than a skeleton crew and no guards. Stealing it, and everything aboard, should be a cinch.
Little did they know that the company had just come under the ownership of Mhairi Global, and one of their representatives was already on the way to deal with the ship and the various goods it hauled, many of which were not accurately represented by the labels on their crates, and were far deadlier than children's toys they were purported to be...

The scent of sweat, gunpowder and fire hung heavy in the air like an invisible curtain of tension drawn over the gathered crowd. To Retsu however it all smelled like a load of bullshit. No one here seemed to have even the slightest idea of what they were dealing with but with some luck Retsu herself would be far less ignorant by the time this was over. She'd expected the shipments to stop weeks ago but lo and behold a bunch of shit she didn't want making its way into her turf without passing through her hands was still getting there. It didn't take a genius to figure out that was hella worrisome. Because this wasn't anything new to her. The Akimichi family had been doing exactly the same thing. On the surface they'd owned a food processing plant and several distribution centers throughout the city. They'd bring fish in every day through their fleet over overnight fishing boats, pack it up and send it all out on the same day. The attached factory specializing in dough production sent out to a fuckton of bakeries, pizza places and other stores throughout Tokyo just widened their reach and made sure they'd be able to distribute whatever else their boats brought in all across the city. Of course, said factory was now out of action, the Akimichis weren't gonna be doing anything in the foreseeable future and the fronts handling the more legal stuff had all been gobbled up by bigger fish. Retsu had known something was amiss but figured she'd deal with things as they came and what d'ya know, that time seemed to be now. She'd been looking for a decent way to check things out so when the call came that someone was hiring mercs for a mission like this she'd jumped onto it without looking back. The fact that she'd have some ablative armor in the form of the people around her certainly helped the decision, even if she had to scoff when one of them said the plan would make everything go peachy. She hadn't worked with Firebrand before and couldn't say she was interested in doing so even now. It was perfect, really. She wouldn't hesitate to throw him under the bus. Provided the woman glaring daggers at her wasn't around instead, of course. LDG and her had clashed several times in the past and Retsu's rib throbbed in memory of where it'd been cracked during one such scuffle. If that one went down during this mission Retsu'd be sure to track whoever offed her to treat 'em to a drink. The one amongst them she was most worried about was the Gorillo Bandit. She couldn't be sure it was true but she'd heard things about him. Definitely not someone she'd be turning her back to, even if she was confident in holding her own against him in a fight. After all, she'd come loaded for bear. She hadn't been twiddling her thumbs in these past few weeks and more importantly she'd brought most of her arsenal with her. Oh, her shoulder would have one hell of a bruise by the time they were done but she'd be damned if her duffel bag didn't contain enough bombs to blow the entire ship up if need be. A gut feeling told her it might not be enough. She pushed it down, grit her teeth and walked over to the map. "Right, yeah, sure. How we doin' this?"

| i am revision, the failsafe Firebrand grinned when Retsu asked how they'd be going about the heist, then tapped the backs of his fingers against the map. "Simple, we're going to commandeer the vessel."
Loli-pop Danger Girl crunched her trademark loli-pop as frustration flared up. "Yeah, but how."
"Also easy," Firebrand reiterated by tapping the map again. "A ship like this typically has some twenty or more people as part of the crew. Since it's just sitting out in the bay doing nothing, there's only half a dozen around. Best part is none of them are there and happy to be there. They won't put up a fight, and when we take them hostage they'll be plenty willing to make the ship move to where we need it to go, so long as they get to go home later."
"So, we dun get ta beat up anyone?" Gorrillo lamented.
"If they don't comply, yeah, you get to beat them up."
The answer seemed to suffice for the big man and he remained calm. Loli-pop, however, didn't seem to pleased with the plan. She clearly believed a toddler could have come up with the plan, but taking hostages was simple.
"You expectin' us to swim out there?" She demanded.
"No, no, no. Of course not! I have a boat outside that we can use to get there under the cover of night!" Firebrand made a flourish with his hands towards the end of his statement. He was clearly taken in by the theatrics of the impending situation.
"To make things even easier..." he hushed his voice and leaned in over the table a bit while sliding a photo out onto the table. It showed a pink teddybear sitting atop a little cloud "If we can find crates or containers marked with this symbol, they have illegal weapons and equipment in them, and I am told if one or two went missing, or happened to be used in the course of the operation, no one would mind. So let's consider that a bonus for us."
Loli-pop seemed pleased with that bit of information. A bonus was good. Weapons were good. It'd make it easier, safer. Gorrillo was just happy to see the picture and tried to take it from Firebrand, but he snatched it back before it could disappear.
"If no one has anymore questions, I say we get a move on."
Firebrand had taken the liberty of securing an inflatable raft suitable to seat them all, but far from comfortably. It was also powered by a small motor. It'd be enough to get them to the ship, but it'd be slow and bumpy at best.
At least the payout would be good.

Retsu's lip curled up in disgust. She was about to ask how the glorified match stick was gonna try to pull that off when LDG took the words right out of her mouth. If there was one thing she hated more than being disrespected or interrupted it was finding herself thinking the same thing as that bitch. Her thoughts were her own and the very idea she might be similar to the other woman made her hand twitch towards her arsenal. She swallowed the bitter thought down. There would be more than enough time for recrimination after they'd solved the mystery of the newest pile of shit that had been dropped onto Bakuretsu's lap. At least the remainder of Firebrand's self-aggrandizing rant alleviated some of her conecerns. Having had the choice between bringing her newly acquired and in the process of being modified guns or stuffing more explosives in her bag had been an easy one but it didn't change the fact that she'd prefer to be packing some iron heavier than the airsoft pistol she'd put in her shoulder holder. Something about it felt off however. Really, really off. Unfortunately she couldn't quite place what. "Seriously? We're supposed to fit inta that?" Bakuretsu grumbled. The raft swayed when she stepped in, nearly tipping under the weight of the heavy duffel bag held over her shoulder. Half leaning over the side so the rest could fit in her eyebrow twitched at the lack of space. The rotten cherry atop the whole shit cake was that LDG was firmly pressed up against her other side. She was tempted to push her and her smug smirk overboard.
It was only when they were halfway there, far enough from the coast that she wouldn't be able to make the swim without ridding herself of her entire collection that one and one came together in her mind and turned out to be three. The picture was far too clear. By itself not a big tip off but it clearly wasn't taken in a hurry. What really smelled though was the ship sitting off the coast. The bay of Tokyo had plenty of space for even the largest ships to sit pretty in a dock and she knew from personal experience the coast guard was so crooked it was a wonder they could walk without falling over. Bribing your way past their inspections was barely even an inconvenience. No, the ship was out there for a reason.
Someone was about to get fucked over and if she was to be honest, she didn't like her chances.

| i am revision, the failsafe Firebrand looked aghast at the comment about the little boat he had secured for their operation. "Of course! I specifically picked one that would meet our needs and would not cost us too much."
Loli-pop Danger Girl stepped up beside Retsu and gave her a sly smirk. "Why, doesn't it suit your tastes, princess?"
She laughed and moved to get in but was interrupted by The Gorrillo Bandit flopping into the dinghy and splashing water everywhere. A series of curses followed as she embarked, but after that, the only one pleased with the situation was Gorrillo, who seemed ecstatic to be going for a boat ride.
Upon arriving at the ship, the little boat floated nearby while Firebrand tried several times to get the grappling hook to grab hold of the anchor's massive chain, which then helped them stay secured while they deployed a rope ladder up onto the deck. It was quite the process and likely would have benefitted from some practice beforehand, but it worked out in the end.
"Alright, once on board, secure the crew. Do. Not. Kill. Them. We need them to handle the ship, but that also means that we need them conscious, so don't hurt them too badly. They shouldn't be armed, so just...you know... be gentle."
It was clear who Firebrand was talking to with the last bit.
Once on the deck of the freighter, they'd find themselves face-to-face with a great deal of shipping containers, all of which were locked and secured, but not so secure they couldn't be accessed - especially if they found the ones with proper markings on it.
It also appeared that no one was any the wiser about their presence, but there were two or three people doing something towards the front end of the ship where there was a large open space. What they were up to, however, was a mystery.

The moment she set foot on the boat all expression fell off Bakuretsu's face and she scanned the area around her with analytic eyes. Raising two fingers before pointing them towards the front of the ship she signaled her temporary allies before making her way to the nearest container with soft steps. A dud, or at the very least not one with the stuff they were looking for. It took three more containers and a bit of ignoring the noise Gorillo was making up front to finally find what they were looking for. Dropping into a crouch Retsu unzipped a side pocket to grab her tools. With a wiggle she used her tension wrench to set the lock before getting to work. Making sure to ignore the girl behind her she continued picking until the lock clicked open. She placed her knee below the lock to let the cylinder drop without a metallic clang before she removed the rest of the lock from the lock box. "Well, El Dee Gee, you just gon' stand there lookin' pretty or are ya actually gonna do somethin' useful for once? Get these doors open already."Taking a step back and stretching her shoulders she prepared to dig into the meat of the matter. She certainly wasn't disappointed. To say they were smuggling arms into Tokyo would be the understatement of the century. Quite frankly the quantity present in just this container alone was enough to intimidate Bakuretsu. Was whoever owned this stuff trying to start World War 3? Either way her airsoft pistol wasn't gonna hold up. She'd need to sting much harder if she was to keep up and wouldn't you know it, the Scorpion SMG seemed like just the thing that could do that. Flicking the switch to full auto she slipped a few spare clips into her pockets and continued to ignore LDG. So what if her aim sucked? Weight of fire easily made up for that. Either way there was no time to continue 'enjoying' the other woman's company. Gorillo had probably already contained the two up front and they needed to get a move on if they were to secure the rest before they could ring an alarm. ------ Tags: Revision Bakiri Retsu

Kamiya Nadeshiko I shall subvert this unwanted reality

| i am revision, the failsafe Once the lock on the shipping container fell away, Loli-pop grumbled a bit and moved to help, but not without an annoyed click of her tongue. She clearly wasn't a fan of being bossed around by Retsu, but helping was part of the job. The second part of the job was finding the stash of weapons inside.
"Well, would you look at that. They weren't lying when they said weapons were being moved in," Loli-pop looked them over and took a Scorpion and a couple of mags like Retsu had done. "I prefer my blunt tools, but these will make people comply."
While Retsu decided to go towards the front and check on how Gorrillo was doing with the "hostages" in that direction, Loli-pop took off elsewhere, heading towards the bridge which had been Firebrand's destination. They'd need control of it, possibly the engine room, and the entire crew. Considering half the crew had been towards the front, Gorrillo could use some assistance wrangling them up.
"Don't you move, non'ya move!" Gorrillo shouted angrily at the men trying to scramble away.
He had already managed to take hold of one of them by the arm, which he had snapped clean to make his point known. The man in question had passed out from the pain and shock of the injury.
Gorrillo tossed the man aside and stormed around, making sure that none of the others wandered off, but none seemed willing to test the big man.
"Our arrival is imminent. Ensure the landing area is clear," a scratchy voice called over a radio one of the men had on his belt.
"Oi! What dat?" Gorrillo bellowed as he slammed the ground next to the man in question. "Who you be talkin' to, eh?"
"Them."
The hostage gestured into the distance, and it became clear a large helicopter was inbound. Trouble would be upon them soon, something they had not anticipated.
At least they found the guns, right?

Either the rumors about Gorillo were wildly exaggerated or the man managed to keep a cooler head while on a mission than Retsu had expected. Whatever the answer was she was quite surprised to see only a single broken limb after he'd been left alone for several minutes. In fact, she was almost as surprised as she was annoyed at Loli-pop for fucking off the moment she'd have to work together with the suspected lunatic. Brat would probably be able to talk her way out of it by mentioning some 'strategy' or 'efficiency' thing too. Whatever. Retsu had better things to do than stew in her anger. Like putting it to use. "Ship control to helicopter, do not land unless ya wanna go digging lead out of the crew. Turn around and fook right off!" She yelled into the radio she'd snatched off one of the hostages' belt. For emphasis -and in case anyone was looking- she jammed the barrel of her new toy into the side of the muscular woman's head while wrapping her other arm, the one still holding the radio, around the poor sailor's neck from behind. Despite now having an improvised shield and a good reason for whoever was on the way to avoid aiming her way the sinking feeling in her stomach wasn't abating.
"Gor, git ready for shit to go sideways. Ah dun' get the feelin' these fucks are gonna play nice and listen."
The bare minimum done to warn her temporary ally she started backing away from the landing platform and towards the densely packed rows of shipping containers. Worst come to worst she could get behind them, pop some smoke and lose them into that maze until she could get some more bodies between her and whatever was about to be a threat. She flexed the muscles of her left leg, feeling the contours of some of her smoke and tear gas grenades pressing into the meat of her thigh through her pants' pockets. It would have to be enough and if it wasn't, well, she had plenty of less subtle problem solvers in her bag. ------ Tags: Revision Bakiri Retsu

| i am revision, the failsafe There was a moment of silence after Retsu's declaration of intent and warning to whomever was on the other side of the radio, but the silence was broken shortly after with a simple reply.
"I will arrive momentarily."
It was a woman's voice, and she didn't sound pleased.
"Who'zat?" Gorrillo inquired as he lumbered over towards Retsu. "What we do now, huh?"
Aside from the looming threat of some third party interfering with their operation, it was going rather well so far. Capturing the ship had been quick and easy, and they had already located the weapon cache, so now it was merely a matter of getting away with it.
"Hope you two are having fun out there," Firebrand's voice rose from a different radio than the one Retsu had used, and was clearly on a different operating channel. "We've secured the bridge and crew up here, and I can see you've got things handled down there."
If they looked, they could see Firebrand waving from the control tower.
"Loli-pop is taking some of the crew to engineering to get this tub started up and then we'll be on our merry way. No need to dally, right?" He laughed a bit and then the radio went silent as he went about his job.
Unfortunately for Firebrand and Loli-pop, only Retsu knew what was going on at this point. No one else knew that the helicopter flying in their direction from out to sea was actually intended for them and not somewhere else in Tokyo.
No one else knew that they had trouble incoming quickly, nor how dangerous things were about to get...

It sounded like they were about to be knee deep in shit and Retsu was not confident she had a big enough paddle to row them out of it. Her eye looked over the people in her immediate vicinity. Counting the three hostages in she now had six people she could put in between her and whatever was coming but she doubted things would go that smoothly. After all, when it rains it pours. She grinned. Then all she had to do was add to the storm and hope she'd weather it better than whoever was coming, didn't she? Just like always. "Well shit, seems like she dun' give a fook about you, ey?" Retsu told the woman she was holding with an edge to her tone.
"W- wai-" "Makes two a' us."
The sailor didn't get farther before Retsu's gun went off and scattered the rest of her thoughts all over the deck. After having had to fight enemies heavily invested in the maritime industry Bakuretsu had become very aware of exactly how much work went into sailing something like this. They'd have to run a tight ship but if it was just to get them to shore four people would be more than enough, meaning that even if they themselves couldn't figure it out they still had one or two people to spare before things got troublesome. She was just about to start shouting orders when Firebrand's smug voice sounded over the radio. If life could be said to be about balance he sure seemed to compensate for his ignorance with vanity. Retsu clicked her tongue. Self important twat just had to make himself the only one that could speak over their comms didn't he? Either that or Retsu just hadn't figured out how to use them. She certainly wouldn't spare the latter any thought. A plan began to form in her head at the thought. Oh, she could use their ignorance. She very much could. "Gorillo, we've got incoming. Helicopter and a boat. I'll deal with the latter, ah can't hit the chopper out of the air and y'r stronger in a straight fight." The empty flattery filled her with disgust. In fact she could only tolerate saying it because she was confident he wasn't going to be telling anyone. Zipping her bag open and taking out some remotely-detonated mines she scattered half a dozen across the landing pad before placing one with a bigger yield in the center and keying them all to the same remote. The entire process took less than twenty seconds and she didn't hesitate to toss the detonator at Gorillo the moment she'd stepped away from the pad."Catch. Left a little surprise for 'em when dey land. Make sure they don't run outa y'r reach again, know what ah'm saying. Ah yeah." She adds offhandedly while shooting the hostage with the broken arm in the leg. "You keep an eye on that one, they kent bring out the big guns so long as he's alive. I'm gonna deal with the boat. You! With me, now!"
Yelling at the final hostage while she goaded him ahead of her. Bakuretsu didn't know how long she had left before the helicopter landed but she intended to use every second to her advantage. If she had the time she'd litter the way to the bridge with explosives. Laser triggered claymores behind corners, proximity mines next to anything on the way that looks like it might collapse from the blast and a few smoke grenades she pulled the pin off and tossed down random paths between containers to make her harder to track. All the while she'd keep her hostage close and in front of her, ready to use as a tool of negotiation or shield if need be should she be intercepted before she makes it to the bridge. ------ Tags: Revision Bakiri Retsu

Kamiya Nadeshiko I shall subvert this unwanted reality
and replace it with one of my own design
| i am revision, the failsafe Knee deep and stuck on a ship in the middle of Tokyo Bay, with the only prospect of escape being the little inflatable they used to arrive in the first place. It looked a bit grim, but that was only if whoever would be joining them posed any sort of threat. But, what were the chances of that?
Killing the sailors had not been part of the plan, but plans change all the time. Perhaps she could have consulted with Firebrand about the plan, if she cared to, or if she could have figured out the two-way radio, which definitely worked, but may have proven too complicated in a moment of high anxiety and stress.
Either way, things had been set into motion, and they had mere minutes before that helicopter managed to get into range.
Gorrillo seemed equally confused, especially after Retsu executed the sailor. "Wasn't we sposed ta keep them alive?"
He looked up at the sky as Retsu explained they'd have more to fight, or at least deal with in some capacity and smashed his immense fists together. "Ah can fight anyone, ev'n ah heli-hel... thing."
Perhaps giving Gorrillo the trigger to the explosives wasn't the right idea. Would he know what to do with it? Would he actually use it? Would he know to not be in the way if he did use it? Hard to say...
As Retsu took the last hostage and wandered off the helicopter swooped in, buffeting the area with a gust of wind as it came to a rather quick and sudden halt and hovered just above the deck. Gorrillo sort of paced back and forth, waiting for his chance to do his job and smash anything or anyone that had the stones to come out and face such a hulking man as himself.
So, while Retsu made her escape, leaving her 'comrade' to whatever fate had in store for him, the ramp at the rear of the helicopter opened a single woman walked down and hopped from it and landed on the deck below.
Gorrillo, now well within his ability to engage, rushed forward to do what he had to. He let out a bellow as he charged the woman, but Revision just gave him a quick look over and adjusted the parameters of her quirk. His impressive fist, easily able to crush most humans in a single swipe, lashed out at the woman, and then practically exploded as it came within a few hand spans of her.
He roared in agony and stumbled back a pace after having half of the components in his arm reversed while the rest continued forward, forcing him to tear his own limb apart as he attempted to strike her. He was strong, very strong, and that strength was more than his body could handle when it was turned against him in such a strange manner.
Revision stepped forward as Gorrillo stumbled backwards and drove her fist into his torso. Once, twice, thrice. Each strike would have been negligible to a mass of muscle like him, but when the body's innate defense against impact, tensing up and constricting muscles to create a harder, strong protective layer, turned against itself and rippled back into his core, amplifying the power of Revision's strikes.
He coughed and sputtered as he was blasted backwards to land on his back and slide another meter or so.
It had been a devastating blow, one that he likely wouldn't recover from without medical care, but he was still conscious enough to lift the detonator and laugh.
Revision merely clicked her tongue in annoyance as the bombs went off. The explosion roared across the deck, forcing the helicopter to retreat somewhat, but before they reached the pinnacle of their explosive radius, Revision reset the area, returning the bombs to their undetonated state, which included Gorrillo himself, who didn't have time to figure out what just happened before shock rendered him unconscious.
Revision dusted herself off. "How annoying. But there is at least one more..."
Elsewhere, as Retsu made her escape towards the bridge, she would run into Loli-pop on her way back up from beneath deck. "Oi, where are you g-"
She was cut off by the explosions at the front. "What the hell is going on?"

There was a silver lining to every cloud and it seemed like this one was that Retsu managed to finish all her preparations and get to the entrance of the bridge uninterrupted. She had the distinct feeling though that this particular cloud might just end up being mushroom shaped however. Which would truthfully be a sharp contrast to the one up front that didn't seem nearly as intense as it should've been. "How da fook did 'e mess up pushin' a single damned button?" Retsu grumbled as she passed one of her colleagues. "Shit's goin' down is what, Eldeegee. Fookin' hate to say it but let's stick together. Chopper just dropped off a 'fuck if ah know' and ah get the feelin' we're in for a ride."
For good measure she tied a wire around the handle of the entrance once it was closed behind them and connected it to a jury-rigged flashbang. With some luck it'd tip them off if anyone made their way into the bridge. Taking the steps two at a time she rushed up the stairs while making sure the safety on her Scorpion was off and her explosives were within reach for easy access. She pushed her hostage ahead of her as she kicked the door to the control room open. "Firebrand! Y'r fookin' briefing didn't mention a gods damned helicopter. What the hells is going on?"

| i am revision, the failsafe As LDG and Retsu scramble into the bridge, tensions threatened to boil over. Certainly, the situation had gone pear-shaped. What had been a fairly simple operation had turned into something potentially very dangerous. Though the others were unaware of it, and maybe even the specifics eluded Retsu, but the fact that the bombs had gone off would imply Gorrillo wasn't going to be joining them anytime soon.
"You don't say!?" LDG mumbled. "Why are you here? Where the hell is Gorrillo? And why do you have that guy?"
She gestured angrily at the random hostage guy that Retsu had grabbed, who looked about ready to turn into a ghost at any moment, and then squared up to Retsu. "Seriously, what did you do?"
Firebrand managed to scurry over and intercede as best as he could. "Now, now... let's not fight among ourselves! Yes, there seems to be some completely unforeseen circumstances, but nothing that we can't handle. After all, that is why you and Gorrillo are along," he nodded to Retsu to indicate she was one of the two muscle hired for the job, and then saw her arming the trap. "and I suspect he won't be coming..."
"Yeah? Well, that plan of yours sucked!" LDG shouted and kicked at some debris littered around the bridge. "And now we're going to be stuck in here, yeah? What does your big brain say we do next?"
Firebrand swallowed nervously and moved towards the windows to look out at the helicopter flying around. "I'd say we try to negotiate... bu-"
The glass shattered and Firebrand's head snapped backwards as a sniper from the helicopter took a shot at him. He toppled backwards and sprawled out on the floor.
Outside, back on the bow of the ship, Revision lowered her binoculars. "Target is down."
"Can you see the others?" the sniper asked.
"No, they must be too far inside."
"Should I chase them out?"
"There's no guarantee it will work. Just circle around and I'll let you know," Revision pocketed the binoculars for the time-being and set off towards the bridge.
Thanks to the big man earlier, she had already excluded every explosive she could think of, and some other things just to be safe, so her quirk was already active by the time she flipped the first claymore.
The explosion raged, but as it surged towards Revision, it blasted backwards as her quirk forced it away from her. She clicked her tongue and rushed ahead. This would get tiring really quickly...
Back on the bridge, LDG had taken cover behind the lower portion of the wall where the sniper couldn't see them. "Great, now we're really fucked!"
She did get a little daring and peeked up over the edge as the explosions went off outside. "What did you do out there?"
And then she spotted someone coming up the stairs to the bridge and began unwrapping a bunch of bubblegum. "We have company. One woman, on the stairs."

The first thing that went through Retsu's head upon hearing LDG's warning is that it was a good thing a bridge this size has two staircases each with their own separate doorway. Otherwise the last thing that'd go through her head might just end up being the same as what went through that of Firebrand. The moment her temporary leader's head had burst for reasons other than how full of himself he was she'd hit the ground and crawled her way behind navigation before raising herself up into a crouch. Something that put her much closer to the door the woman wasn't approaching from than LDG was. "Eldeegee, wait for the bitch ta trigger the trap 'fore tossin' y'r shite at 'er. Moment y'r done rush this way, ah'll cover ya."Propping her gun up against the corner of a console with one hand she reached for a flashbang with her other. The moment LDG was clear she intended to run for the second door, drop her little present behind her and slam the door shut again. With some luck the size of the bridge would amplify the grenade's effects and buy them some time to think. They needed to get that helicopter out of the air somehow. There was no way they were getting out of here alive so long as it was still able to fire at them the entire time they tried to escape. They'd be fish in a barrel. ------ Tags: Revision Bakiri Retsu

Kamiya Nadeshiko I shall subvert this unwanted reality
and replace it with one of my own design
| i am revision, the failsafe LDG began aggressively chewing gum as she listened to the plan. Simple. Probably effective. She could do it. She blew a bubble and plucked it from her mouth as it seemed to harden slightly, making it a good, softball-sized projectile to be thrown. She then shoved more gum in to replace it.
A grenade. Perhaps not the best thing inside closed quarters, but it was better than getting domed by a sniper.
Revision stopped outside the door and considered for the briefest moment. She'd run into so many traps already that by the time she had gotten to the bridge, much of her stamina had been depleted. However, the job came with those risks and demands, so opened the door slowly, and deliberately.
When she heard the pin from the grenade, well-honed reacts forced the door back closed at the last second, but it was designed to keep the elements out, not grenades. The flashbang exploded and blinding light and deafening sound erupted forth, briefly stunning her. Most others would be in grave danger under such circumstances, but Revision's general aversion to firearms and other common implements of murder and warfare meant that even a setback such as this wasn't a major threat.
As soon as she regained her senses, she drew her handgun from its holster and kicked the door open.
Revision burst back onto the scene with all the vibes of a professional who'd done this more times than she could count, and readied to take down the next target.
Two of them, and one was in the middle of throwing something again. Another grenade? No, it was pink, like a dodgeball.
Revision had no idea what it was, or what threat it posed. Her quirk couldn't defend her against such unknowns, but she had an alternative she hadn't expected to use immediately.
She activated her quirk.
"-we try to negotia-ack!" Firebrand let out a strangled noise as Revision grabbed the recently reset man by the collar and yanked him back from the window and used him like a shield to block the strange projectile.
The bubblegum bomb exploded and coated Firebrand in the sticky substance, effectively binding his arms to his torso. "W-what is going on?!"
The bewildered man let out and undignified screech as he was tossed to the side like discarded trash and thudded to the floor.
Revision opened fire, promptly putting two rounds into the console LDG ducked back behind just in time for Retsu to throw her next flash bang. Revision watched as it tumbled through the air for a brief moment.
The pin had been removed where she couldn't see it. She almost growled in frustration, knowing that her quirk wouldn't be able to reset the grenade to a useful point in time. Being struck full-force by it would be a major problem, so there was only one choice left.
Just before the grenade went off, Revision reset herself back down the stairway.
"Let's go!" LDG shouted as she took off towards the door with Retsu, another bubblebomb readied for use if the need arose.
Revision undid her quirk, returning to the bridge in the blink of an eye. Her breathing had became heavier, and she could feel sweat welling on her brow. She was running out of energy, but the likelihood that anyone was paying enough attention at the time, or could really hear anything beyond Firebrand screaming his lungs out, was low.
She let out a deep breath. "Alright, this is getting tiresome..."
