U.A. University Training Field -Ground Beta-:[break][break]
After hearing a lengthy set of instructions and drawing lots, a flock of freshmen would begin dividing itself into various smaller groups. In a matter of moments, they would begin spreading out throughout the street to get themselves up to speed. Names, Quirks, and something that seemed to resemble strategy. It was still early days, so they could be forgiven for not being acquainted with all their future colleagues. That’s why these kinds of exercises were important. Helped break the ice, whilst developing some synergy between students, and some were suspiciously developing quicker than others.[break][break]
And who better to lead this assignment than the Silver King of the Jungle himself? Someone who attracted enough eyes and commanded enough respect within campus to oversee such a rowdy batch of freshmen. Still, as the groups got settled in a murmur of formalities and idle chatter, something began to catch his attention. Not about this exercise, per se, but a much larger pattern that began to present itself. For some reason, one group was starting to repeat itself with more frequency than others. Three students, to be precise.[break][break]
Reijiro Akagi.[break][break]
Takara Toshigawa.[break][break]
Luca Itadori.[break][break]
Some combination of these three students kept popping up. It didn’t matter what it was for. Capture missions, rescues at U.S.J., and even normal spars. It defied even the most basic laws of probabilities. Too frequent not to be accidental. Although, even if foul play was suspected, the man who was once the Voice of the Big Five had no way to narrow down neither the method nor the culprit. These three were drawn together no matter what methods the teachers used. Drawing numbers out of a box, names on a hat, even the University’s supposedly uncrackable random number generator threw up the same results. Nothing seemed to stop the unseen hand pushing this trio together. [break][break]

The boy nodded along with the explanation, patiently waiting for Jun’s brain to catch up to the conversation in downright comedic fashion. It took a lot of restraint for the man under the mask not to break into laughter. For his patience, he would be rewarded with some tidbits of information and two leading questions for him to answer.[break][break]
“I-I used to play it at a friend’s house, always wanted to get an army but I n-never could get into it.” He would scratch the back of his head before awkwardly spitting out the answer. “P-Parents couldn’t really afford it.” Jun could herself attest to how real that issue was. Fans of the game often joked that it was called 80k because it costs ¥80,000 to play the game. In reality, the number was a little closer to a ¥ 100.000, and that was just for the bare necessities. [break][break]
“Oh, darn!” Jun could spot the life suddenly leaving from the boy’s blue eyes as he heard about the state of Tabletop Gaming in U.A. University. “I-I was actually looking for a game club or something like that, but-” His eyes widened as a realization brought his trail of thought to a sudden stop. “Oh, I’m sorry, I’m Nakamura from the Business Department.” With a passive smile, he lowered his head for a moment, before extending his hand out towards her.[break][break] [attr="class","curragebot"] Radiate, recognize one silent call as we all form one dark flame.

In the midst of this marvelous moment, Gen’s eyes would periodically wander up to the top of Ana’s head. It was about to happen. The best part. Any second now, Ana was going to reach into her hair, and a few seconds later, something magical would happen. Sure enough, the pins would come off, and a pair of cat ears would burst out of her hair. That’s right. Ana was someone who, long ago would’ve been considered no more than a myth, spoken only in rumors and highly edited images on internet forums, a being made possible only through the magic of Quirks. [break][break]
A catgirl gf.[break][break]
His face lit up like a Christmas tree as he stared on, mouth agape as he watched her ears twitch into view. He wouldn’t be stuck there for long, as that sight was accompanied by the feeling of Ana nuzzling up to him with her quiet purring playing like music in his ears. In between thanking his lucky stars for this moment and enjoying it, he had no time to see Ana’s next move coming.[break][break]
Suddenly, his arms went from holding his first love, to nothing at all. He recognized the holographic ensemble of lights that was Ana’s Quirk, equal parts blinding and beautiful, but it was too late. By the time he figured out what was happening, it had already happened. Brown eyes widened as he felt her lips pressing onto his and a pair of hands pulling him towards them. His cheeks turned bright red as his heart began to match the other’s pace and volume. Cracks in the mask to be locked away from anyone else. [break][break]
Ana had gotten one over on him, thankfully, her cheeky kiss was enough to douse her boyfriend’s pettiness. Unfortunately, this too had to end, just like all good things. Gen would let the bright-eyed scientist pull away, but only slightly. Resting his forehead onto hers, his lips would curl into a smirk as she let question after question slip out, and he would answer them with his usual brand of snark, making sure to dull the edge with an uncharacteristic sweetness. “Everything? That’s gonna take like… three weeks.” Amused as he was at himself, he would let out a goofy little giggle.[break][break]
“It was... long, definitely doing better now, though.” No lie detector needed for that one. “The break was too long. Saw the family. It was very funny watching my parents do a total 180 on this Hero thing. Sister’s still…” His eyes wandered over to a corner as he searched for a proper word to describe that demon, before giving up and just speaking his mind. “A bitch.” Without any remorse, he would put his family to the torch, which did wonders for hiding the fact he did jack squat over the holidays. “Saw my uncle, too, but fuck ‘im.”[break][break]
“But enough about me”—from just a few inches away, she could see Gen’s eyes finally trailing back to where they belonged, her—”I wanna hear what you did, B-chan. Tokyo to Mars is a pretty long trip. You sure you’re not jetlagged, or well, shuttle-lagged?” From how bad the distance was, she might as well have traveled to another planet. “How was the mothership? What didja’ do out there?”[break][break] [attr="class","curragebot"] Radiate, recognize one silent call as we all form one dark flame.

The way his name left Ana’s lips, it was like honey being poured straight into his ears. He wasn’t used to hearing in full without either a sermon or an asterisk attached. The purr that came after was the icing on the cake, and the feeling of her tail wrapping around him, the cherry on top of the diabetes-inducing cake that was her affection. A three-pronged attack that melted through his defenses in an instant. God, he was so lucky.to have her. [break][break] His arms uncovered her eyes, only to wrap themselves around her sides in a warm embrace, whilst his head squeaked its way next to her, resting on her shoulders with a smile painted on his lips. It wasn’t the one this school had grown to hate. No, it carried an uncharacteristic lack of contempt and condescension. In fact, you might even say it looked a little silly. [break][break] Truth be told, it was strange hearing about how someone missed him. He was used to people cherishing his absence, that was, if they even noticed it in the first place. This was… new to him. “I missed you, too.” Originality was never his strong suit. If it was, he would’ve probably come up with something less overdone than stealing superpowers. Still, he knew it hurt to add a personal touch here or there. In this case, it was in the form of a single delicate word, known only to him, whispered into her ears like a cool breeze. “Svetlana.” [break][break] One could only imagine the reactions most people would have if they laid eyes on this scene. The two most problematic students in both Heroics and Support, sharing this tender moment, so sweet it could clog your veins from just seeing it. Even if you took a picture, no one would believe it. But Gen wasn’t thinking about that. Those marks didn’t matter, not now. None of it mattered. Not even All for One. Right now, the devil felt like he was in heaven, and nothing could take that away; he was lost in the bliss of meeting Ana all over again. Bad luck, that is. Thankfully, the best and bluntest mind at the support course was not waiting for her in the little club room, like some sort of teleporting horror movie villain. No, something much, much worse was about to happen to her, even if she had no way of knowing it.[break][break] Whilst Jun kept painting away at her miniature army, she could hear a pair of footsteps approaching the room. Before she could have much time to identify them, the door would slide open, revealing a figure that… wait, who the fuck was this guy?[break][break] [break][break] A fuzzy head of unkempt black hair, innocent-looking blue eyes and a nervous look plastered all over his face. She had seen all of these before, but never on this particular face. “O-oh, I’m sorry, I-I think I got the wrong room.” Must be one of the new arrivals, and his words seemed to back that up. Didn’t look to be older than her. Actually, now that she got a look at him, there was not a lot to write home about him. Lanky limbs, button-up shirt and a presence that could best be described as non-existent. It was remarkable how unremarkable he was.[break][break] However, his slumped posture and nervous disposition would quickly fall to the wayside as he caught a glance at the figurines laid out on the table’s surface. “Wait, t-that’s 80k, right?” His nostrils seemed to pick up the smell of paint permeating the air, confirming that theory. “That’s so cool! You play wargames, too?” His eyes lit up with a glint of excitement, like two bright blue neon signs.[break][break] [attr="class","curragebot"] Radiate, recognize one silent call as we all form one dark flame.

An empty classroom. Countless rows descended besides three sets of steps that led from the door to the desk. It had only been a few days since the season started, but spring was out in full force, if the clear blue skies behind the windows were any indication. The place was absolutely empty. It was devoid of any signs of any would-be heroes, save for some scant imperfections that littered the room. Bits of gum on the underside of a desk, carving onto the surface and sides of the wood, and a lone “B+G” doodled onto the whiteboard. From the looks of it, it seemed like Gen wasn’t here, but before long, the entire classroom would fade out of view.[break][break]
One moment, Ana could see the room clear as day and empty, and then the next, it would all go dark. She hadn’t gone blind. She could feel something covering her eyes. Fingers that all led into a pair of soft hands, ones that had never seen a hard day's work in their life. Ones that were all too familiar to her by her. She had her cute little experiments to thank for that. “Guess who, Bright Eyes?” If that surprise wasn’t enough to raise her heart rate through the roof, then the voice that greeted her was sure to do the trick.[break][break]
[break][break] Three weeks.[break][break] [break][break] That was the time afforded to Japanese university students between semesters. 21 days. A brief, but necessary reprieve. They could see their families and maybe another part of the country, perhaps work full-time for a few weeks to build up their savings, or just loiter around their room until it was time to head back into the heroic meat-grinder. Whatever they did in that time, the point was to clear their heads for the upcoming school year, something Kurokami Gen had failed miserably at. He had gone back home, but he had forgotten his mind back on campus.[break][break]
For those three weeks, all Gen could think about was coming back, and could you really blame him? One year ago, he was nothing, a talentless hack who was fated for a job flipping burgers or working through lists at a call center. Now, he was the all-knowing, all-seeing, and all-powerful future of the industry. The inimitable All for One. He wondered how the country’s best and brightest heroes could fail to see through such a farce, but he wasn’t complaining. [break][break]
He was living the good life, one that everyone told him was out of reach, and he wasn’t about to let it go to waste. His mind couldn’t help but lose itself in the reality he had forged for himself. But most of all, his mind had been taken over by the one thing more important than a cushy job, expensive merchandise deals or laundry discounts.[break][break]
Her.[break][break]
Ana Borovsky. the only person on campus as brilliant as Gen pretended to be. He still wasn’t quite sure what she saw in him, but he wasn’t about to question it. Even he wasn’t that stupid. It was, without a doubt, the best part about the sham he called a life. And it was doing him no favors in regards to clearing his mind ahead of year two.[break][break] Of course, Gen would’ve loved to take Ana on a thousand different dates during those three weeks, but he wouldn’t get to enjoy that privilege. It was just his luck, he finally gets a girlfriend, and right after hell week dies down, she hops on a plane to Alaska, of all places. [break][break] But enough of that, she was back in Japan, and he was back at U.A. University. Nothing could stop them from meeting, as long as no one else got to see them together. With all the shit he got up to, it would be hypocritical to judge anyone for hitting him below the belt. It was only a matter of time until someone got that boneheaded idea.[break][break]
Still, it wasn’t hard to set up a meeting away from prying eyes. Ana could turn even a bank vault into an open door and Gen’s real Quirk could best be described as “Stealth Hacks”, and he was about to put them to the test. Ever the prankster, Gen had made sure to be the first person in the room, using his superpowers to create the illusion of an empty room, one he triggered as soon as his better half phased through the wall, and from there, well… the rest was history.[break][break] [attr="class","curragebot"] Radiate, recognize one silent call as we all form one dark flame.

The first day. The feeling of starting a new chapter in your life. Meeting new friends, going from class to class, roaming freely around campus and realizing that everything you learned up until this point was worth precisely jack squat. Nothing quite like it, except of course, for your second day, especially if that second day happens to include a mysterious sender leaving a mysterious letter in your locker, room, desk, or all of the above.[break][break]
Special Senpai Orientation.[break] 3 PM, Ground Beta.[break]
Be there or be square.[break][break]
P.S: There will be snacks.[break][break]
Someone would leave these letters in spots where only three specific freshmen could see them. Then, if they were dropped into garbage cans or torn to shreds, more of them would appear. Each round of letters more ridiculous in their number and location than the last, until the first year would get the memo that the only way to stop their influx was to see what it was about.[break][break]
[break][break]
Eventually, the time would come, and all three recipients would converge in one of the empty streets of Ground Beta. The ghost town would greet them for the first time in four long years. They would have more than enough time to get used to the quiet streets, the empty stores, and the countless unused apartments that composed this facsimile of their future lives.[break][break]

THE NEWBIE GAMES: Open to: All first-year students in the Department of Heroics. Number of available threads: 2 for now, would lead to more down the line. Number of participants: 8, four per thread. IC INFORMATION:As with any university, it is up to the sophomores and seniors to give the new breed a warm welcome. Everyone’s just started out, they need something to break the ice, and who better to help with that than Junsuina Kanjo and Kurokami Gen? The premise is simple, six freshmen will be divided into two groups of three. From there, they will complete a simple team building exercise designed by the senior in charge. What these students don’t know is that they’ve been drafted into a season-long battle between their second-year counterparts. Pawns in a much larger contest of ego and wits. A game to determine the best strategic mind at the school. Dubbed by its architect, the devilish All for One, as “The Newbie Games”. The rules are simple: for the next six months, Jun and Gen will each train a three-man unit of newcomers, who will play the role of our lucky contestants. At the end of that period, both teams will face off in a climactic showdown. Whoever manages to improve their team the most will be declared the winner. The prize is, of course, bragging rights. The loser will have to publicly admit that the other coach is the Best Strategist in the school. Surely, this will not get out of hand. OOC Information:
Here’s how this is gonna' work. If you want to be part of this season-long bet, simply sign up by posting in this thread, filling out the form below. Once we have all six first-years signed up, both me and coffeeman will start the initial introduction thread to each team. The idea is to establish connections, build up dynamics within them and set up for later threads throughout the season. These first two threads are intended to be the starting point for each team. General introductions, establishing dynamics, and capped off by some exercise designed by coffee or I. This time around, we'll be using a 72-hour limit between posts to prevent the thread from slowing to a crawl. Given its a four-person thread, that is a real danger. Ideally, we’d like to make this an ongoing plot, with both Jun and Gen setting up various exercises for the students throughout the season. This would provide excellent threading and plotting opportunities, both between us and between you guys. A pair of team members can train together in a two person thread. People from different teams can get into a spar, which would build up the rivalry. Sophomores can do individual training with one of the contestants. There’s a lot that could spawn from this, and we can’t wait to see where it leads. If you want two characters to be in the same team or to build up any specific plots with this idea, please make sure to communicate that in DMs, both among yourselves and to one of us. Finally, for this initial thread. DRAFT: Team 1: Name Pending. Coach: junsuina Contestants:

To say he has an ugly personality would be the understatement of the century. A lazy, spiteful, and sadistic little man, he is the embodiment of everything that U.A University's Plus Ultra’ motto is not. He is lazy, to the point it risks his own grades and health, refusing to do anything but the bare minimum. One look at his room would tell you that much. So rude, he constantly crosses the threshold of crass, both towards enemies and allies alike. His spite and pettiness would be unbecoming in a criminal, much less someone who’s supposed to be on the righteous side of the law. His greed would make a dragon seem charitable. He’s always looking out for number one, and he won’t even think twice telling you and everyone else about it. Worst of all is his ego. Holder to the omnipotent All for One, Gen knows he is the best thing going today. He is the cream of the crop, the ultimate talent, the future of this industry and and boy oh boy will he not shut the fuck up about it. “Gen-erational Talent”, “Better than You”, “Future Number One”, these phrases and more have forcefully been drilled into the campus’ collective consciousness for the last year or so. However, no matter what he says or what he does, there’s one thing you should keep in mind at all times when interacting with him. Kurokami Gen is a liar. While not every word that comes out of his mouth is false, it’s best to assume that. He will lie, cheat and steal, sometimes for his benefit, but most times just for the hell of it. He is almost always putting on airs, even to his detriment. It’s a matter of principle to him, no issue too big or too small. Petty lies, white lies, and dirty little lies, he will tell them all as naturally as he breathes and without a single moment’s hesitation. Any time he can get away with it(and even in times where he can’t), he’ll do it, if only just to prove his power over reality. However, this isn’t to say he spends his day moping around. For as little as he thinks of himself, he has just as much(if not more) contempt for those around him. This manifests in his serpent-like tongue, one he has no qualms using to denigrate and demean his peers, and even some of the staff, should they prove too much of a headache for him. As any shitty teenager would, he likes honing in on whatever weaknesses he can find on a person, especially during fights and competitions. Gen presents an undeniable drive to win, well.. somewhat. In any given competition, his focus isn’t on achieving victory, but more so about how to make others lose. Defeat is inevitable to him, but if he could just drag one of those pretty, noble, righteous and cool little heroes down with him, then that would just be too sweet. Another plus for him is his intellect, even if his dwindling grades and his less-than-courteous attitude would make that hard to believe at first brush. Gen might be an immature and impatient ingrate, but damn if he isn’t smart as a whip. [attr="class","section"] [attr="class","section-title"]APPEARANCE [attr="class","flex"] [attr="class","appearance-col"] [attr="class","appearance-col"] FACE CLAIM NAME Orihara Izaya. [attr="class","appearance-col"] FACE CLAIM SERIES Durarara!! [attr="class","appearance-col"] [attr="class","flex"] If you were to describe Kurokami Gen in one sentence, it would be “remarkably unremarkable”. Save for the unpleasant can of worms that is his personality, you would have an unexpectedly hard time picking him out of a crowd. He wasn’t gifted with any features that would make him instantly recognizable; no colorful hair or eye-catching scars or mutations. All he has is that slightly messy head of hair, his lanky limbs, or his brown eyes, things you could find 100 times over in any Japanese campus. Even his Hero Costume embodies this principle to a tea. Given the versatility of his skills, there is no single set of gear that would give him a distinct advantage. As such, he hasn’t even bothered asking the Support Department for a fit. Instead, he dons a black jacket with faux fur running through the hood, the cuffs, and the ribbing. The only outstanding thing about him is his expression. Kurokami Gen is the proud owner of Japan’s most punchable face. That smug fucking grin that follows him everywhere he goes, an ill-omen for anyone unlucky enough to catch his eye. The moment you see those lips curl into that smile, you just know you’re about to hear some absolutely abhorrent shit. [attr="class","section"] [attr="class","section-title"]HISTORY Ah yes, the part you must all be waiting for. How did we get here? What made little Gen become the sorry excuse of a man he is upon his arrival at the Hero Course? Who failed this young man for him to end up so? His parents? His teachers? His fellow students? Or perhaps was it one of those strong, bright and oh so noble Pro Heroes? The answer is, both none and all of the above. No one event or person would horribly scar Gen for the rest of his life, yet, it would be inaccurate to say that the people around him didn’t fail him in some way, shape or form. Born too early, that was the first mistake that would set Gen up for failure. A couple that had gone too fast, that was the best way to describe his parents. While they would staunchly deny it in public, his conception was far from planned. They were, by no means, ready to handle the monumental undertaking that was bringing a new life into this world, much less one as troubled as Genichirou. To add to his parents’ inexperience, Gen was not a normal kid, mentally. He was not Quirkless, but a late bloomer. Worse yet, by the age of three, the boy had begun to develop a strange pattern of behavior. In family gatherings, he would always stare off into space, only breaking his silence to loudly point towards empty spaces in the room and describing that something out of the ordinary was happening. He would yell out that his favorite characters from TV and manga were right there, just a few feet away, much to the awkward silence of his family’s social circle. This would later be confirmed as an early symptom of his Quirk developing, causing illusions to take root not in the outside world, but inside his mind. It didn’t take long for him to become the center of the conversation at the dinner table, right next to his supposed lack of Quirk and the fact that his parents had yet to marry. Genichirou was ‘the weird one’, to put it lightly; a wobbling ball of crazed delusions that perfectly encapsulated the mistakes his parents had made. Many insensitive comments and suggestions were made at his unwitting expense, often questioning his developing sanity. There were many times that an uncle or an in-law would ask that his parents take him to a psychiatrist or a neurologist and would tell the other children to stay away from him. That he was ‘no good’. His parents were, as you could expect, not quite ready to push back against all of those insidious insinuations, which only made the situation worse and worse. However, even for all their faults, it was undeniable that Gen was loved by his parents. They made their best attempts at pushing those topics out of the conversation and at making their son feel as normal as they could, it was just that, their best efforts weren’t that great. They tried their hardest, it wasn’t their fault. By the time he went to school, things didn’t get much better… or worse, for that matter. He had scant friends and more than a few people willing to pick on him. He was never shoved in a locker nor forced to drink the contents of a toilet, but to say he had a good relationship with his class would be nothing short of a bold-faced lie. Still, what can you do, they were just kids, kids with their own set of issues and insecurities that they were working through, it wasn’t their fault. Thanks to both his overactive imagination and his lack of interest in the subjects, Gen would fail to grasp most of the contents of what his teachers were saying. He would just barely grasp the essentials of the subject, before veering off into considerably more interesting fantasies. As such, his grades would enter a slump that, to this day, he would be unable to escape. From there, the unforgiving nature of the Japanese education system would attempt to drill the importance of studying and focus, before giving up entirely on him by the age of 16. Many teachers, tutors and counselors tried their hardest to get this kid invested, to try to right the course of the ship, but eventually, it became clear that he just wouldn’t make it. With so many bright prospects under their tutelage, you couldn’t help but have a bad apple here or there. He was never going to get his act together, never going to amount to anything, it wasn’t their fault. Worse yet, by age 4, Gen’s family would welcome a second child into their life, a girl. Taking all of the lessons from their first attempt to heart, the Kurokamis would once more try their hardest at raising their daughter, with way better results. The girl was everything Gen was not. She was smarter, more sociable, hell, she would eventually even grow to be taller than her big brother. It was so… annoying! It all just fed into all the little things that had been gnawing at the back of his little brain. Why could she be normal? Why wasn’t she ‘the weird one’ like him? Why did she have so many friends? Still, she was just living her life, and it just so happened she was doing way better at it than him, it wasn’t her fault. And that would be where the story would end. Gen would likely fail his college entrance exams three years from now, if he could even make it that far, and then… McDonalds? Security Guard? Call Center? Take your pick on whatever dead end job he would be fated to take for the rest of his life. But then, at the age of 14, Gen’s life would finally take a turn for the better. For the first time in his life, his Quirk would manifest, or rather, it would manifest outwardly. During a birthday party, one of his friend’s friends had decided to be extra shitty to him, so much so, that when the guests had decided to watch a horror movie too graphic for their age, young Gen did what he always did, he drifted off into a better world. Like many times before, he would imagine the characters of the film popping off the screen and onto that dimly-lit living room. With a lot of pent-up spite, he would imagine the monster of the film, a ghastly woman in a white dress with long black hair that covered most of her face, to torment that little bastard. It was a harmless prank, one that only he could see, but shockingly, for the first time in his life, that wouldn’t be the case. A chorus of high-pitched screams would echo out as the grudge-filled apparition unnervingly crawled into the living room and scarred that class for the rest of their lives. It felt… so good. For the first time, it felt like he could chalk one up on the win column, and the best part was that, even after he came clean, no one could say or do anything to him. After all, he thought he was Quirkless, without talent, without power, all he did was use his imagination. He couldn’t have known. It wasn’t his fault. He would spend the next four years honing the Quirk, seeing how far his imagination could take him and finding out where it still came up short. It was a weak little parlor trick, but still, it was better than the nothing he had to his name before. If he was smart about it, he could fluke his way into a future that most can only imagine, but then again, imagination was his strong suit. After working a desk-job for a much-more successful branch of his family, Gen found a way out. A job that would print money for him, open doors, and let him laze about for the lion’s share of his life without any real repercussions. Pro Hero. Once he hit the age of 18, he would take the U.A. Entrance Exams. It consisted of three parts, a written portion, a practical exam and an interview process. We’ll focus on the latter. That is where All for One was born. It was an elevator pitch for the ages. An horrifyingly powerful Quirk and a wielder wicked enough to match, all brought to life by Gen’s tongue and his talent for misdirection. A detestable character that would say and do anything to succeed. A heartless monster that would unite the student body against him, that would push them to their very limits and beyond. It was an oratory exposition for the ages, one that would unfortunately be lost in secrecy and confidential information. In less than 5 minutes, Genichirou Kurokami had successfully talked his way into U.A. University, cause trust me, he didn’t get in through grades, or physical performance, and especially not through recommendation. And from there, the rest was history. Through this power, he can create holographic images that come equipped with 4 out of 5 sensory stimuli; you can see them, smell them, hear them, even taste them if need be, but touching them is out of the question. While these provide great utility, they’re entirely harmless in terms of actual combat. They can help mislead, bluff, or mess with a cat through laser pointers, but they can’t actually damage anyone. [attr="class","ability-title"] [attr="class","ability-name"]DRAWBACKS While it is an extremely versatile Quirk, allowing one to recreate a potentially infinite amount of phenomena, however, it does come with enough downsides to prevent it from being the all-powerful illusions one has grown accustomed to seeing in Shonen manga. Firstly, as mentioned above, it comes equipped with only four out of five sensory stimuli, smell, touch, sound and sight, but tact is simply not something Gen can recreate. If someone attempts to touch one of his images, their hands will simply phaze through. This means that if Gen is not careful, people will find out his Quirk’s exact nature. This wouldn’t be that big issue except for its biggest weakness. If a character discovers Horrid Reality’s true nature, they are immune to its effects for the rest of the thread. When used offensively, the skill synergizes with the user’s Speed and Dexterity Attributes, requiring deft minute movements to control the wires with precision and quick reflexes to snap a trap into motion. This ability also takes advantage of its wielder’s Awareness for things such as noticing particular angles to facilitate these moves, such as using the environment for leverage, fulcrum points, or just for plainly seeing where an opponent is likely to go.[break][break]
In Gen’s particular case, he can also use his Quirk, Horrid Reality to help enhance this Skill, such as by making the wires invisible, creating images of more wires to fool an opponent, creating smokescreens to conceal an attack or trap until the last possible moment. Next to it is a lighter that ignited the fuel, creating a trail of flames that looks to be emerging from his palm. One thing of note about this piece of equipment is what it uses as fuel. Instead of the usual gasoline or diesel, this bad boy runs on methane. For those of you unaware, methane fires are said to be invisible to the naked eye. This is not exactly true, they are mostly invisible during the day, meaning that flavor-wise, characters with high Awareness may be able to spot the flames with greater ease. If used during night time, the flames become visible to just about anyone, as they do produce light. Due to the volatility of this material, however, the gear has a smaller range to prevent the chance of Gen from lighting himself up with invisible fire.(Ana Borovsky has not made this Item in a mission) [attr="class","ability-content-left"] [attr="class","ability-header"] [attr="class","ability-title"] [attr="class","ability-name"]Cold Shoulder [attr="class","ability-rank"]C+ [attr="class","ability-desc"] Support Gear created by Ana Borovsky. With the press of a button, Gen can fire the device, causing what looks to be a lightning bolt to shoot out from his hands. He can fire either a continuous stream at short range, like certain Sith Lords from the Star Wars series, or a long-range concentrated beam of lightning. While it has no mechanical effect, Gen can charge the device for longer stretches of time to increase the voltage.(Ana Borovsky has not made this Item in a mission) [attr="class","ability-content-left"] [attr="class","ability-header"] [attr="class","ability-title"] [attr="class","ability-name"]Winds of Change [attr="class","ability-rank"]C [attr="class","ability-desc"] Support Gear created by Ana Borovsky. The purpose of this technology is for high-speed mobility, either for chasing targets down, or more likely, running away from any pesky close-quarter engagements. The shoes shoot compressed air out through the bottom of the user’s shoe, sending them flying at high, but not lethal speeds. Something he cannot escape, as it is rooted deep within his nature.

[attr="class","section"] [attr="class","section-title"]HISTORY
Ah yes, the part you must all be waiting for. To save us a precious amount of time and digital ink, we’ll just say that they were not ready to handle the monumental undertaking that was bringing a new life into this world, much less one as troubled as Genichirou. Worse yet, by age 10, Gen’s family would welcome a second child into their life, a girl. Kurokami Sakura was born. It was an oratory exposition for the ages, one that would unfortunately be lost in secrecy and classified files. In less than 5 minutes, Genichirou Kurokami had successfully talked his way into U.A. University, cause trust me, he didn’t get in through grades, or physical performance, and especially not through recommendation. And from there, the rest was history. Gen did not wait so much as a week to leave a mark. His mouth had a way of getting into trouble, and his twisted mind had a way of getting him out of it with his hand held high. It didn’t take long for the rumors of the all-powerful Quirk to start spreading through campus, no thanks to its wielder’s controversial statements and scandal-driven personality. At that year’s sports festival, a respectable placing would all but confirm those stories. As far as word of mouth went, All for One was real, and unfortunately so was its owner. However, that freshman year was not all glitz and glamor. Behind all the inflammatory statements, the blood feuds and the countless fights they spawned, something else was happening behind the curtain. It seemed like the Devil himself had developed a soft spot for some people, or well, one person. The word around the halls was that Kurokami Gen, in spite of being the proud owner of both every Quirk and character flaw under the sun, had made a friend, with some people daring to suggest that things had long since escalated past that stage. Of course, All for One has made a policy of denying those rumors at every stage, but to a lot of people, that just lends more credence to them. With it, Gen can conjure two different types of illusions. The first are holographic images that come equipped with 4 out of 5 sensory stimuli; you can see them, smell them, hear them, even taste them if need be, but touching them is out of the question. While these provide great utility, they’re entirely harmless in terms of actual combat. They can help mislead, bluff, or mess with a cat through laser pointers, but they can’t actually damage anyone. The second is aimed not at a specific spot in the world, but at a target’s mind instead. Nobody but the intended target can detect it, but that specific person’s five senses perceive it to be real, including touch, which in turn, includes pain. Of course, they can’t actually physically hurt someone’s body, but boy, does it feel like it; the mind thinks that thing is real, so that person’s pain receptors will flare up just as if a real tiger, debris or gunshot had just hit them, and they will feel any fatigue that comes from losing blood, breaking bones, or having their head crushed, to the point that serious wounds could knock one unconscious or send their body into shock, a potentially lethal ailment. The first drawback is in the amount of damage it can. While psychosomatic damage is no joke, Horrid Reality deals less damage than any other Quirk in the same rank. Another issue is that Gen can only produce one illusion at a time. However, the biggest problem is related to verisimilitude. The more real an illusion is, the more it can hurt you. Likewise, the faker it feels, the weaker it is. As such, characters with an Awareness rank higher than this ability take less damage from it and perceive the illusions to be less potent across the board. Finally, if a character discovers Horrid Reality’s true nature as an illusion, they are immune to its effects for the rest of the thread. X is a compact flamethrower that Gen wears concealed under his sleeve. Once activated, a small cannon protrudes from under his wrist, which shoots out fuel wherever his hand is pointing. This is not exactly true, they are mostly invisible during the day, meaning characters with high Awareness can spot the flames. If used during night time, the flames become visible, as they do produce light. Due to the volatility of this material, however, the gear has a smaller range to prevent the chance of Gen from lighting himself up with invisible fire.
