Iphi and Amane were already well-acquainted by this point. He recognized this fact and yet, he hoped his participation in her study wouldn't tamper with her results in any way that tainted the final product. Not that it would, he knew Iphi would never let it come to that. If anything, participating in this little test was a great way to stretch his legs and get out of his counselor's office. It was also a great way to check in on his workaholic colleague. It was easier to check in on her when they were at the agency, but UAU? Their commitments here were just too different, and it wasn't like there was ever a quiet day working at the school. Arriving at the agreed upon location Amane came in straight from work, wearing his hero suit. That is to say, a fancy suit and tie. ''So, this is your latest project, Iphigenia-senpai?'' He smiled as he walked in, rolling his fingers as he mentally prepared himself for summoning his chains. He did use them on patrols, but he hadn't really gotten in a serious fight in a long time. How exactly was Iphi going to test him? That was the most exciting part about this whole ordeal, he had absolutely no clue. ''In any case, I'm here to help. Amane is a laidback sort of guy. Although he looks like an absolute musclehead and is a musclehead, he also likes his quiet, contemplative moments. Whether it's reading the news in an actual, printed newspaper while enjoying his coffee or spending hours of his free time on crossword puzzles. As a civilian his life is surprisingly ordinary and while he doesn't seek attention, he certainly doesn't hate it either as he isn't afraid from enjoying life and laughing so loudly that it would turn heads. As a hero, Amane is much more level-headed and calculating and while he is perfectly content to go into the frontlines and square off with villains, his love for helping people extends beyond just fighting crime. This led him to becoming a student counselor at the very same university he himself graduated from years ago. Being more of a generalist, and a ''don't put all your eggs in one basket'' kind of guy, Amane believes his wisdom and guidance is just as important, if not more so than his fighting skills. While he is an absolutely hopeless romantic, when it comes down to it, his heart is closed off. Reserved for a special someone he met earlier in his life and hopes to get back together with. The eye in question is also covered by a black eyepatch he's wearing after an encounter he had with a villain. The eye is supposedly healing. Amane is someone who likes to dress fancy, often opting for clothes he's either comfortable wearing, or clothes that seem to be more on the mundane side when compared with other heroes and sidekicks. For instance, he will often wear a white shirt and black tuxedo with a black tie over something like a hero outfit. Amane usually switches between two emotional states, either being more laidback when he's off work or hanging out with family and friends, or attentive and observant, sometimes looking lost in thought when he's on the job, although he is rarely someone who daydreams and looks to be very grounded overall. [attr="class","body"] [attr="class","header2"]HISTORY  As the eldest son of the Gotoh family I always felt a pressure to succeed. Of course I'm neither the brightest, fastest or the strongest among my peers. I knew that even before I got accepted into UAU. As a student I was diligent, but not particularly remarkable. I quickly learned that it was better to not have all my eggs in one basket, which is why once I graduated and became a sidekick I began looking for other jobs as well. Don't get me wrong, it's not that I don't like my boss Iphigenia, it has more to do with spending the time we have been provided wisely. I believe my talent doesn't lie in just helping others on the battlefield, but in more subtle ways too. As a UAU counselor I help direct the students who might feel as lost as I was back in the day. Not everyone is going to grow into a renowned hero, but that doesn't mean they aren't talented. Quirk or not, everyone has something special that makes them a valuable asset to society. I wish to bring these qualities to light in people however I can. Somewhere along the way, before I graduated UAU, no, before I even started attending, I took a trip abroad to America. On that trip I met the most wonderful guy. Some people don't believe in soulmates, but I do. Felix is who I consider my soulmate. I left him once to travel back to Japan. It remains the biggest regret of my life. Nowadays I spend my time working as a sidekick for the Ouros Agency, as a student counselor at UAU and of course, as a good big brother who looks after his sister, Rin, without pampering her too much. QUIRK DRAWBACKS: The chains are only as strong as his quirk rank will permit and can be overcome either by quirks or attributes that are equal to or outrank it. After quirk overuse his limbs will become heavy, as if invisible chains are weighing them down making it impossible to move. Due to the level of control required to emit and control his chains, Amane also risks losing his depth perception temporarily the longer he uses his power without any form of rest.
