Of all the reactions she could have gotten Mochi didn't expect her hair color to be the thing that was focused on, tipping her head to one side. It was true for sure that blonde hair wasn't common in Japan - at least, undyed blonde hair anyways - but as far as Mochi knew she was absolutely full Japanese. From her parents to their parents and so on. But she'd address that later, giving a short laugh at the pun reaction and leaving that question unanswered as well as she introduced herself and shook the other girl's hand. The reaction to that was one Mochi wasn't surprised by, even if she hadn't gotten it in awhile, and in the past it probably would have made her self conscious but the Mochi of today just raised her hand up to lightly wave it from side to side.
"Yup! I'm 100% Mochi-shaped Goo! But, don't worry, I don't really do the quips thing a lot or anything - its just easier for people to remember a weird, fun name than something cut and dry, I think." She explained, completely glossing over the fact that she often said stupid or silly things regardless. Bringing her arms up to cross over her chest and closing her eyes in mock-seriousness, she made her hair swish from side to side almost like it was in a breeze. "My hair is like this due to my Quirk, you see."
Which was probably not true at all - her dad had the same blonde hair she did - but it wasn't impossible that there was some weird Quirk-y trait passed down over the generations. She'd have to ask if her pre-Quirk great grandparents had any blondes or not.
Peeking one eye open again, and then the other, Mochi let the girl have a moment to get her bearings before unfolding her arms and clapping her hands together. "You're here for some advice and practice though, right? Figure out ways to make your Quirk more useful at your job, or in your studies...?" She left that question lingering - the two main reasons people trained their quirks was for work stuff or hero-in-training stuff. Granted, it could totally be some girl who was up to no good... but Mochi considered herself a good judge of character! |

As it turned out, it really wasn't long until Mochi arrived. Thinking of arriving early herself, the blonde stepped showed up just a few minutes after Kazashi had. Baseball cap with the word 'EMPTY' printed across it in big bold letters atop her head, the short young woman was decked out in her usual mix of flowy-and-sporty fashion. A sundress with a denim cropped jacket over the top, leggings and a pair of brand new sneakers. Glancing around this way and that, the blonde's face practically lit up when she spotted her friend.
"Hoiiiii, Kaz-chan!" Mochi scurried over with one hand raised high up over head, practically bouncing between steps before plopping down in a seat. Then her face suddenly puffed out in a pout, a bit of mock grumpiness in her tone as she crossed her arms over her chest and complained: "How did you get here first? I left extra early and everything!" The pout was short lived and she broke out into a big broad smile, giving her head a tilt to one side and sending her takoyaki earrings swaying. "It's been way too long! How are you? How is Chuck-kun?"
She had to visibly restrain herself from bombarding her with other questions. One might think they hadn't seen each other in years, but in all honestly it hadn't really been that long. It just felt like it when they used to hang out nearly every day living in the same dorm and all that! They still talked plenty through texts and stuff, but with Kaz living with Chuck and Mochi living with Futaba and both of them often doing hero work or other things at different times it had been a hot minute since they could sit down together again. Maybe Mochi would have to see about trying to line up their patrol routes and schedules so they could work together more often? They were a great team anyways, so it only made sense in her book! |

Mochi was, as she so often did, scurrying around a lot today. Lots of errands to run, places to be, things to do, people to see! Today she was running a little study program, offering her expert pro hero advice to people who needed it. It wasn't official teachering, but she was licensed and Quirks were so tricky to figure out sometimes that she thought people would appreciate it. Besides, with her graduating she had to leave the Ultra Revue Club behind at UA and that left a big old gap in her schedule. That's where the Ultra QWork Study Program came in!
It actually hadn't had too much use yet, so when she heard someone call out the blonde was quick to scurry over - in shadow form.
Easy to see if you were looking for it, or exceptionally observant, Mochi looked almost identical to a shadow as she slid across the ground before reforming near the fox-like student with one arm up over her head and giving a big "Hoiiii!" in greeting. To Miroru it might seem like a woman in baggy blue overalls with long blonde hair and takoyaki-themed earrings in her ears just plain rose up out of the ground, if she hadn't noticed the shadow. "If you mean the Ultra QWork Study Program, this is the right place!"
Hands settling on her hips, she had a big broad smile on her face as she introduced herself very simply and with no real elaboration at all, thrusting a hand out for a handshake rather than a bow. "I'm Mo'!"
Mochi wasn't going to force the handshake and roll right past it if it was turned down, but if Miroru did shake her hand she'd probably notice what seemed like a complete lack of bones in her solid-but-squishy grip.

Mochi was just happily going about her day, not on patrol for the time being - as evidenced by the big floppy sunhat on her blonde head, cropped denim jacket over a long sundress and the sandals on her feet. She had bags over one arm, filled with all sorts of things, and a stick of dango in her other hand that she was happily munching on. At least until there was a strange hiccup in the crowd around her, a shift of mass uncertainty and hesitation. The kind of way people acted before some kind of scene broke out.
Going up on her tip toes, Mochi caught the tail end of what sounded like an increasingly heated 'conversation' and spotted a lady with dragon-y looking features being tugged on by some guy.
Scowling, the blonde seemingly sank into the ground - melting herself down into shadow-on-the-ground form and scurrying over to quite literally insert herself between the two. Rising back up and reforming suddenly, positioned so that she would be more in the guy's face than in the girl's, she had her dango stick pointed vaguely at the man in away that a parent or a teacher might chastize a child. In a completely unamused tone, she declared:
"Knock it off."
It wasn't the biggest threat in the world or anything, and Mochi herself certainly didn't look threatening at a glance, and it was entirely up to the guy if he wanted to take her seriously or not. Keeping her attention on the guy though, Mochi also asked a quick question directed at the dragon-like lady behind her. "You know this guy or anything? He's harrassing you, right?"
Mochi didn't want to just jump to conclusions or anything, and definitely not risk potentially beating up a guy who didn't deserve it if it came to that, but it certainly seemed like a harassment in the works.

Mochi is an outgoing and friendly young woman thatis always eager to make friends or hang out with someone. She has a relaxed way of thinking and going about things, and is encouraging towards friends and strangers alike. In the past that was partially an act, but her time in UA University made her more genuinely confident in who she was as a person. She hates when her friends overwork themselves without taking breaks - something that she will attempt to combat with aggressive care and sometimes literally dragging them off to relax and have fun somewhere - and values other peoples wellbeing more than her own. I was born and raised in Yokohama and I spent a lot of my time in daycares and summercamps as a kid - my parents are super busy workaholics so I never really got to spend a lot of time with them and I was an only child. Growing up was kind of rough sometimes, I never really managed to make lasting friends at all and I used to do some pretty unhealthy stuff by using my Quirk to imitate people and insert myself into their friend groups and things like that. But then a school councelor suggested I try using my Quirk for something better and I ended up applying for UA University. Getting through the entrance exam was tough, but I think that was exactly when my life turned around for the better! I made a lot of friends during my time at the university, like my best friend Kaz-chan! We had each others backs practically from day one through all kinds of scary situations, and through all kinds of training and exams! We took our finals together, too, and now we're coworkers! I also met Chuck-kun, who later ended up turning out to be Kaz-chan's boyfriend, and even though he wasn't a UA student or anything we hit it off over a mutual love for food and became pretty good friends! He actually helped inspire me to take weight lifting and other stuff seriously, and I wouldn't be half as strong without his help! Another really important person I met during that time was Fu-chan, who is probably more special to me than anyone. I don't think I would have done half as well on written tests and stuff without her, but she's also really into movies and stuff just like I am! I actually met her through Suki-san, when I went in to apply for a part time job. I didn't get the job, although Suki-san did recommend me to Rising Phoenix where I've been doing lots of modeling work ever since. Suki-san asked me to hang out with Fu-chan some, and at first her and Kaz-chan and me were all just friends but then Fu-chan asked me out one day and we've been dating ever since. I was on my way out when Kei-kun started attending UA, but he helped me learn a lot about my Quirk and helped develop Empty Vessel and the other gear I use today! After graduating, Kaz-chan and Chuck-kun and Fu-chan and I all went on a big world tour vacation!
