It might not have been the night he anticipated, but it was still a victory for Nobu. The fantasy he originally felt casting over his dangerous life was shattered, but the reality couldn't have bore sweeter fruits for him to pursue. They knew each other more, Kysaly becoming more intriguing than before and being someone that he can truly see as good. There needed to be more of the sweet amethyst doctor, not just for the coffee and customer service but the medical expertise. What a package! While he contended with his own personal feelings about his vigilante life, he knew now that Kysaly wasn't just any other person. He wouldn't have to lie to himself or them, and maybe someone more critical could help rein him in. Those thoughts are what guided him to sleep, despite the dulled pain. In the morning, he would feel his eyes opening and looked over to see Kysaly wasn't at the couch. "Kys?" He called out, feeling stiff as ever from his wounds. The pain was there, though still dulled from his body being numb from so much of it. Nobu could only wonder what sleep did to their thoughts. He was worried that they'd decide after-all to shut him out, he didn't want that. Nobu wanted Kysaly, which they probably noticed while he was asleep and also something he'd make apparent. Of course, emotionally. Nobu mumbled Kysaly's name due to his dreams. Kysaly

Nobu saw that Kysaly was conflicted and knew that the reason he left finally clicked. The emotions of a particularly frustrating or worrying situation often brought out the selfishness of a person, but it wasn't them being bad. No, it was obvious that there was more to their bond than originally anticipated. What was originally Nobu's piqued interest in such a unique person and him simply being charismatic became energy that he hadn't felt in a long time. They really did need to get to know each other, but Kysaly was just as charismatic as he was. The recklessness of adults with needs matched the recklessness of ignorant kids at times, they just were able to take a step back and look at things for what they were. "I know. You don't have to say it, I respect that you didn't just blindly agree with me or my actions." As they brought him a blanket and mentioned breakfast, he perked up. "Oh, this is NOT what I had in mind when I wanted you to make me morning coffee..." Being light-hearted, he hoped that Kysaly would soften up. Part of him wanted them to sleep next to him for the comfort, but maybe that was a bit much. There was a lot to process, which made for perfect morning conversation. How was he going to leave in the morning without clothes? "If I Yenmo the money to you...do you think you could grab me some clothes tomorrow?"Turning his head towards them, there was a cheeky grin on his face. "Or will I just have to suffer here as a naked Adonis for you for the day?" It was a bit of fun for him, as he was basically asking for Kysaly to scold him at this point. He enjoyed it, it just showed that Kysaly had strong character to not be so shy all the time. Kysaly

The anger was expected, it was welcome. Nobu didn't want someone to just give him platitudes and buckle when they might feel a little bad. He didn't agree with the sentiment entirely, but he needed to let Kysaly be angry. Otherwise, how could they ever forgive him? It would be a foolish thing to expect not to be criticized because vigilantes were the most reckless of the bunch. Nobu wasn't naive to think he wasn't a danger, he just couldn't work under the normal principles of a hero. After it was all said, he felt the need to provide context but not refute the end of their criticism. There was no refuting it, he has discarded his self-preservation in general. "For this person, I owed them. She's a friend and has a family. That is worth risking myself, because I don't have a lot of real friends. Even if she wasn't close, those kids were in danger. Me dying to ensure they didn't have their potential torn away from them tonight was worth it. I'm thirty, they're half my age, if not younger."His tone wasn't combative, but he wanted Kysaly to understand where he was coming from. They didn't have to agree, but he didn't want them to misunderstand where his headspace was. "Response times on heroes will usually be worse than a friend's, in my experience." As Kysaly bapped his head, he giggled a little and looked down at them, enjoying their presence being so close and remembering the kiss that gave him a taste of what could be...or what could've been. The ruse of his shoulder wound reopening was his own doing, as he simply wanted Kysaly to be closer again. There was something intoxicating about them, self-control saved him from it. "I have a goal, I'm not trying to get myself killed. But...I can't back down either." They were fair in their fears regarding his own self-preservation. If he was in a fight, it was to the death. Even if the odds were stacked against him, he would be that way. Reckless, to say the least. "I felt something I hadn't felt in a long time tonight, Kys. I'll let you decide if you'll give me another chance. In the meantime...thank-you for letting me stay." He shifted to lay down after they would do what they needed, accidentally causing the sheet to drift off of their legs. Covering up, he looked at the ceiling in embarrassment. "I...don't want to reopen the stitches. Do you have something a bit more substantial to cover me?"If there was something he would not regret if Kysaly gave him another shot, it was at least the opportunity to leave a good physical impression. There was the whole fear of losing someone to their own recklessness and them being a dangerous vigilante (yada-yada) but at least Kysaly knew he was hot (or so he thinks). The morphine was certainly kicking in at this point. Kysaly

It was probably an inappropriate time to be revealing details about himself to Kysaly, but Nobu was pretty messed up. High off morphine, injured to all hell, there was a good intent there. His step was to be more honest with Kysaly, he owed them his life. Kysaly was mysterious in their own way, charming and full of goodness he only wished he had a fraction of. His hand dropped as Kysaly didn't take it, but definitely let him off easily. "Then let's start over. I'll be honest with you. I'll be upfront." Turning his body to let his legs hand off the table, he held the sheet over his legs so that it didn't fall. He knew what it was like to feel abandoned, like his excitement raced ahead of him before he truly learned who someone was. It was what made his youth so chaotic and his corporate life so draining. Trust was supposed to be earned, not given. It was a rare commodity and not meant for charity. "I won't endanger you. I know you're putting up a wall right now, and I don't blame you." He wouldn't make any grand gesture towards Kysaly, putting both hands in his lap and bowing as far as he could without agitating his injuries. "For how tonight turned out, I am truly sorry." Raising his head, he didn't think he was going to go anywhere for the night, so he chose his next words carefully. "Kys, it takes real bravery to do what you just did." He didn't want to say it, but fighting so violently and without mercy was the cowardly approach to villains. He could do better, he just couldn't admit it. Sighing, he felt up his bandages and seethed in pain. "Could you do me a favor? Could you come check my shoulder again?" He gestured as blood began to soak through the bandage. It was expected, that wound was much heavier than the others. Kysaly

The duality of being Raiden and Nobu was often a point of conflict for the man. When that armor was on, he was a whole different person who used all the hate he had for his original mentor and channeled it into the villains he has turned to ash. Outside of the armor, he was just a charismatic guy who liked new experiences and keeping an eye on the people he cared about. There was solitude in both, but one was kinder than the other. The armor cracked and he was exposed for the first time in years. It was thanks to Kysaly that he had a second chance at being Nobu and Raiden. He wasn't ready to re-evaluate who Raiden was on the streets, but he knew that they were right. "You know...I've been a bit reckless since becoming Raiden. I guess...consequences will come, no chance of outrunning them." After being successfully patched up, he knew that some proper rest was necessary. It seems as if he was going to have the next week off. "My hero name was Nessaku. I actually had a bit of fame back in my hay-day. Made it almost to the end of Uni." He remembered how much stronger, faster and durable he was. How much more control he had over his quirk, which his body had a hard time supporting. "They nicknamed me Thunderclap because I had this move...y'know, a thunderclap. It made it really easy to take crooks out."Playfully clapping his hands, he would sit up as the morphine began to kick in. This revealed the massive entry scar from when his mentor blasted him. "Thanks for fixing me up, Doc." He was taking it easy, but couldn't help but sit up so he could look Kysaly in the eye. Did they understand the predicament he was in? Were they worried about the fact that he was a vigilante? "I'm sorry to put you in this position, Kys. I would not have left you like that if it wasn't an emergency and I...couldn't exactly say why at the time." In shame, he looked away and at his hands, rivets of lightning popping out in various places. "I don't regret it, to be clear. He would've...it would've been terrible. So I had to go. It made you a victim of suddenly being abandoned, so I promise..."Reaching out, hoping Kysaly would come over and take his hand, there was this pleading sadness that only Nobu would carry. This is what Kysaly would see, a face that no normal bystander and certainly no villain would ever. "...I'll do anything to make it right." There wasn't a childish tone, Nobu was still firm in the way he spoke. He was being confident and blunt about his feelings, even as he expressed his guilt. Kysaly

Thoughts of dying and being unable to be helped flooded from the time that Nobu was able to flee the scene and when he arrived at Kyss Cafe. It would be impossible for him to get medical help, so he had to come to terms with where he was when blood loss would finally take him. Meanwhile, Cambion had to retreat and lick his own wounds. The fight with him wasn't over, it just subsided until Raiden was able to come back harder than before. In his thoughts, he felt lucky that Kysaly let him in and that they were helping him move. Blurred by his wounded state, he would eventually find himself in a table and being covered. Nobu could even be considered evil for showing Kysaly what they had missed before he died. Evil for leaving them high and dry with no explanation and plenty of worry. Suddenly, there was a doctor in the room. That doctor was Kysaly. Having his hopes sparked anew, he had so many questions but knew to listen and not say anything while Kysaly did the honors of cleaning up this mess. When they said it, it was clear as day that his whim to see them one last time was actually a blessing. "Oh, dear god, I am fucking lucky." Choking back a laugh at the circumstances, he would handle the pain quite well. He was already going through a lot of it, so the added surgical pain wasn't much worse. A few times, he would bite it back, but refused the blanket. Taking the vodka in with heavy swigs, he wondered what kind of relief or pain the shard would be. "I wanted...to see you one more time. I'm tough, couldn't let you wonder why I left." With a trembled smile, he watched them do their work. Fascinating. "So the freelance work I do..." He didn't say much, nor did he really have to. It was clear as day what he did for work. Kysaly, however, clearly did more than work a cafe if they were this prepared. Well, if they save me...at least this will bring us closer. Hopefully.Kysaly

When it came to dating or personal relationships, Nobu knew better than to let people know who Raiden was. He was a dangerous, brutal vigilante that broke the laws and quite honestly endangered the public with how unrelenting he was. Mummy, for example, wasn't even killed and yet he set fire to buildings and tore them apart with his lightning. The fury of his wrath knew no bounds, Raiden was a totally different devil from how Nobu presented himself. As he could sense the anger of the companion he left behind so abruptly a few hours prior, he let out a pained groan. "I'm...sorry! I can...explain--" Yelping in pain, the door would eventually open after a moment where it seemed like they were going to leave them out there. It was raining, which stung at the exposed wounds. Once the door opened, Kysaly would be greeted by a battered half-face, bloodied but still blonde hair, and a weak smile with hazy hazel eyes. They would see his left shoulder was impaled with a spear of concrete, shrapnel puncturing several areas of his armor but not quite as bad. A quarter of his abdominal region was shattered and burned with several broken ribs behind it. The entire sleeve and gauntlet of the right side was missing. Stumbling in, he coiled his fingers around the broken edges of the visor as blue lightning would radiate and he would tear off the visor. Already weakened, the remains of the helmet shattered against the ground. "I'll clean that up." Holding his abdominal area, abrasions and ruptured flesh would let out hot crimson. Using the heat of his lightning, he would pry off his armor until eventually it would rupture and the remaining pieces would fall from his body. Simultaneously, he would stumble and fall against the wall of the back of Kysaly's cafe. "I'm really sorry, I can't see a doctor. My friend...and her kids were in danger. Had to get the guy." Looking ahead and focusing on staying steady, he would not let himself anchor to the cafe floor. Clinging to the wall, he would be completely naked without his armor due to not having clothes to support the heat of his quirk while armored. "It didn't go well. Bastard's strong and still alive."Coughing up blood, he would reach out for Kysaly and hopefully be led somewhere more ideal and comfortable. "Sorry for the...um, lack of clothes. They burn up with my clothes, don't have a manufacturer to go to right now." There was a lot they needed to talk about, but he was having a hard time focusing through the wounds and they...probably didn't expect for their first time undressing to be quite like this. Kysaly

Bleeding, broken armor, broken bones. Raiden wasn't doing well after that fight and got out of it far from unscathed. It was cataclysmic, he knew he was weak but the enemy made it so apparent how lacking he was. It had to happen on the night that he was going on a date as well, which made it all the more frustrating. A magical night, ruined and putting the possibility that he couldn't see Kysaly again in danger of being the outcome. His armor was shattered in several places from the concussive blows of his enemy, a demonic looking fellow who set a dear friend's estate in Tokyo ablaze with black fire. Almost as if it were flames spitting from the underworld. His friend was actually the very person he was going to call a favor in for to take Kysaly to a fashion show, but her home and her family were threatened because of an unsavory ex-lover who was finally free from imprisonment. A former male model that helped as sexy representation for heteromorphs, Cambion was exposed as being vile and toxic to those he dated in the industry...among other atrocities. Someone who didn't express how dangerous they were to the public, the original arrest attempt went very poorly. Nobu kept checking in on his friend and eventually things fizzled out once Cambion was arrested with proper force. Now, Cambion was able to manipulate his way back onto the streets. Unlike Raiden, he was still as strong as ever after being behind bars for years. That showed with the shards of concrete impaling the lightning vigilante, the burns and the broken armor. Half of his visor was pried off, and the moments of battle kept flashing before Nobu's eyes. Delirious, he was able to use his blue lightning to scare off the Cambion after his friend took her family to safety. Now, he stumbled his way through Tokyo in fear of being caught by hero and villain alike. He couldn't be seen, not after the torrential approach he had to Mummy. Raiden was dangerous. Stumbling through alleys, there just happened to be something clinging to dear life that he needed to see Kysaly one more time before he died. He was going to die. He was on death's door and unfortunately, there was nobody he could go to. Banging on the back door of the cafe, desperate to be comforted as pain shot through every nerve, he clung to this battle between hope and hopelessness simmering in his head. "K...Kysaly. Kysaly!" Please be awake. Please hear my knocks. I don't want to die alone.Kysaly

The passionate kiss between them reminded Nobu what he had been missing for so long. They enjoyed each other's company, no moment being wasted as seduction ran parallel to a good conversation and some good food. Affectionate ran ablaze and Nobu spread it himself with every inch he explored. Right there in the street, he would show that his patience could not hold back whatever lust and desire had built from his attraction and enjoyment of Kysaly. Looking down at Kysaly, his expression softened while they hung off of him. The hard features that came from his strong demeanor were releasing and the softer Nobu was showing. Intimacy had a way of unfolding the deepest of layers of a person. But in this moment that he was ready to be softer and more vulnerable in response to Kysaly's beauty, his face would twist when looking at his phone as he went to silence it. First, it was confusion. Then it was concern. Then it was anger. Breaking away from Kysaly so suddenly, they would see the color vanish from his face. In the moment of sweetness they would share, the touch that would tell how much he wanted them, it would shatter abruptly as distance sliced them apart. "I...I have to go. I'm sorry, Kysaly. I have an emergency...please make it home safe."As he began walking away, knowing he was going to feel horrible for not offering a moment of explanation, his eyes would be magnetized to the phone screen. "Lock your door." With a grim look he would walk ahead. Fury roiled within, it was time to be Raiden. Later that night, the sound of storms would be heard. Lightning and its yelling thunder, bolts rippling in the distance with great flashes of light. While Kysaly might not know where it comes from, they would soon find out. Kysaly

Nobu wasn't nice and sweet for a lot of people. Usually, he was just direct. When he flirted, he was direct. When he told someone that he thought they were annoying, he was direct. Kysaly followed along, played the game with him and it was going to be rewarded. There was interest, chemistry and mutual desires. As they left the restaurant and Kysaly cutely giggled, and when they turned to face each other he wouldn't waste time with words. Drawn in, Nobu would confidently go for a deep, passionate kiss. The kind that comes when the restraints are finally released off of all the hormonal tension. The kind that was like an unending fire, passion that would captivate and meld the two of them together. He might not have known that Kysaly could feel his pain through it, nor would he know that they could feel his pleasure in its complete honesty, but he wanted it to be known. If Kysaly accepted, his hands would dart around. Touching key areas, finding their way down to the small of their back. It would be a kiss that would go on without a worry for what was going on around them, what time it was or where they were at. When it was done, Nobu would hold Kysaly and give them a look unique to their relationship. Kindness, passion, romance. "This date has been wonderful. With...how I'm feeling, how we're feeling, I'd like to keep you company tonight."Indirect, but respectful. Gentlemanly. Just shy of outright saying he wanted to bed them. He wouldn't respond immediately, but he would feel his phone vibrate intensely. All he cared about was Kysaly. Kysaly

Nobu had two roads riding simultaneously in his mind. There was the dark-armored, torrential lightning lord that was Raiden. The one who adopted the darkness in full when it came to eliminating villains. Purge them all, collateral damage to be disregarded. That darkness is what made it hard to be a fully committed person, as there was an understanding. The other road was Nobu and his desires to visit Kysaly, see them grow, spend time with them in grounding activities. Dinner dates, walks along the many hillsides of Tokyo, sharing sweet treats and sweet touch. These roads would eventually intersect, the walker of both being fully away of the dangers. That didn't stop him, as he looked at Kysaly with want in his eyes. Kysaly asked fearlessly about their hands, making Nobu click his tongue and exhale through his teeth softly. "Elegant, precise, wonderful and soft to the touch."Nobu stood, moving over to Kysaly's side and leaning over. This wasn't the moment that they would expect, only a teaser. "I'm going to pay the bill, sweet starling." Blowing another kiss, he would go pay for the soju and poke and would come back, offering his hand. He knew better than to make the old lady suffer, but once they were outside...it was fair game. "I think someone has been waiting for a little return on investment, haven't you?"Playful, he referred to the sudden kiss on the cheek. The time they spent not kissing, not touching, not letting their whims get the better of them. Tonight was going to be a night of passion, regardless of how the roads would wind up later on. He needed Kysaly, a beauty and a brilliant being. It was hasty, lustful and disregarded that they hadn't truly done a deep dive into each other's interests, but that was the sacrifice for good charisma and chemistry. If his hand was accepted, he would eagerly lead Kysaly outside and once they weren't just right in front of the restaurant, would pull Kysaly in almost like a dance. No kiss, simply a closer embrace. Kysaly

There was a devil inside of Nobu that was yelling at the sight of such an angel. The way Kysaly relaxed, the way their legs met and clothing protecting the barista but allowing heat to rise all the same. The moment they shared hit all levels of enjoyment for someone in their thirties. The ability to relax, the calm away from any storms. Food, alcohol, a silent tide hiding the intimate desires rearing their heads. "Oh, sweet Kys, there's so much you can provide." He leaned forward, head in hand, and took in Kysaly with a whole new gaze. Lustful, wanting, the feeling of wanting to consume them in their entirety. It was a sinful look, but there was surprising softness entering into Nobu's normally tense features. They were able to make his guard drop, which made playing off the electrical burns a bit harder. Had he remnants on his hands that were not healed? How did they know? There was a fidget, a hesitation. But, his companion's own blushing helped him lead back in. "Oh, you're absolutely right. Handy-work is hard when it's not exactly your original profession. And...well, I could use some work on every stiff inch of my body." Sipping his soju, it seemed like the old lady kept her distance and it allowed him to be so suggestive. Drawing Kysaly's leg towards him, he gave a flicker with his eyebrows the suggested he wasn't being so innocent. "Well, if you like how my hands feel...I wonder if you'll enjoy how my lips do too." He wanted Kysaly so badly. Hands searching, conquering all over. Lips touching, speaking love languages all night as they dance. He knew that it was best not to act immediately, they were more refined than such an easy one night stand. Nobu battled his desires intensely, but his eyes did not hide them at all. Kysaly

Had Nobu known that they could feel his pain, he wouldn't have offered his hand. It was a warm gesture, affection that really invites someone in. While the "sharing coffee in the morning" sentiment had a lot of implications, it felt nice. Romantic. There was emotional maturity between the two, neither being the naive kids that malfunctioned at the thought of attraction between one another. Still, had he known that Kysaly could feel all the times he's been burnt by his own quirk, all the times he's been let down... He wouldn't have let them suffer. In ignorant bliss, he enjoyed the moment and the time they got to spend eating. The poke was good, hearty and revitalizing. The vitality they may need required such a complete meal, one way or another. In their moment of shared warmth and sweetness, Kysaly expressed gratitude over Nobu bringing them there. He sipped his soju, making a soft smack with his lips and licking the wetness from them in pure joy. It was one of the few times that Nobu showed a messy side, considering every motion he made was articulate and refined. "Oh, no, the poke would have been great regardless." Teasing Kysaly, he would look so serious before breaking into a smile. "Of course, food is best enjoyed with another and you're so captivating, Kys." With a foot out of its geta, he would lurch it forward and let his sock caress Kysaly's ankle. "It's been a while since I've enjoyed something like with someone else. I know some pretty spectacular shows to attend, I'd love to take you." Treating someone like royalty was how Nobu showed affection. If Kysaly really enjoyed fashion or wanted to experience it since they've spoken of it, Nobu was glad to share that part of himself. He had designer friends he once had as clients that saw Nobu as a good patron for his looks, among other things. "How did my hands feel, Kys?"Kysaly
