Sora lost his parents at the age of four after the Pro-Hero duo died protecting civilians from a Villain during what should have been a routine rescue mission. Having no close relatives that could take a child so young, he was sent to live in an orphanage. It was there that he first met Kana, who quickly became the focus of his life. She was a tomboy who punched first and asked questions later, but her aggressiveness never fazed Sora who swiftly became her partner-in-crime. The two kids would often get into mischief together and run wild in the city pulling pranks and hanging out, and as they got into their teens their relationship soon turned romantic.

Wanting to be like his parents, Sora was intent on becoming a Pro-Hero and worked hard in school and his training to finally get enrolled in U.A. when he was eighteen. However, Kana made it clear she did not support him becoming a Hero. Although she often gave his inability to hurt others, and therefore defend himself, as her reasoning for this, she was also keeping a secret from him that would later destroy their life together.

Despite the new tension between them, the year Sora graduated to a Pro-Hero at the age of twenty-one was the same year they had their child, but it was also the year things spun out of control. After Luna was born, Kana's mental state degraded greatly. Sora mistook the warning signs for postpartum, and thus tried to be understanding even with her bursts of rage that put him in danger. Still, so long as she never showed such anger to their daughter, Sora was content letting Kana take her anger out on him until she got better, yet as the months passed she still showed no improvement.

Things came to a climax two years later as Sora returned home from a mission that had involved conflict. Usually he only worked in rescues and with the public, but he had volunteered himself as support during a raid against a certain group of villains. Partly because he could help keep his fellow Heroes alive during the conflict, but also because he had connected the group with the villain that had killed his parents, known by Deadbite. He held no personal need for revenge per say, but he couldn't ignore the man while he was still on the loose and a known danger to the public, either. That being said, there was nothing he could do about the man himself, so instead he gave it his all during the raid to support those that could.

In the end it had mostly been a success. With Sora supporting the Heroes and keeping them in the fight, they caught Deadbite and most of his associates. A few had managed to get away, including Deadbite's second-hand man, Vee, but the others were currently looking for them and Sora had been sent home.

Even though he had been paired with a Hero that had a healing quirk, Sora was exhausted from the ordeal and his mind felt burnt-out as if overloaded from the pain of being injured and healed repeatedly. It took him until he reached the kitchen to realize something wasn't right. Kana was supposed to be home with Luna, but it was quiet and dark. Immediately scared something had happened Sora reached for his phone to call Kana, but as he brought it up it was suddenly knocked from his hand by a kick from the darkness, followed by a second kick that caught Sora across the temple and brought him to the floor.

As far as what was leaked to the public, a Villain attacked Fae King in his home, leading to the death of his wife. In reality, it was none other than Kana who stood over him, but even in his dazed state it was clear to Sora who she was. Her face was uncovered now and the helmet gone, but the rest of the suit was clearly from the villain Deadbite had called 'Vee', his second-hand man, or rather, woman.
"You couldn't just stay a good little pet, just had to play 'hero' and ruin everything."

Luckily his neighbors reported a commotion, but when Sora had been found he was unresponsive and badly injured. The scars over his eyes and back were already formed, his quirk having healed the injuries before help arrived, but leaving scars behind this time for a reason that is still unknown to all but Sora. They were also able to track down his daughter Luna, who was safe and sound down the street at a neighbors.

Although his wife is thought to be dead, Kara is still at large and missing. However no sign of Vee has risen in the last eight years since the incident, leading law enforcement and Sora to believe she left the country altogether after the attack. Sora recovered for the most part and raised Luna on his own, taking a job at U.A. to teach public relations instead of touring for his idol career so he could spend more time at home.
