Fix My Eyes!
Another day, another dollar. Or yen? Nah. Didn't hit the same. Darius was posted at the equipment storefront today. The workshop was pretty barebones decor wise, lacking the frills and puffy presentation that many other vendors liked to boast about. FICSIT preferred a rugged, utilitarian approach to their aesthetics and products, and Darius agreed with the decision wholeheartedly. The muscled engineer sighed, eyebrows narrowing as he idly tinkered with the screws and connectors on a hydraulic glove. Friday evening was always busy—the weekend meant lots of hero students coming to check the cool toys out for the Hell of it. He'd sold enough basic pieces of gear today to make the stockholders proud, but slinging shelf product didn't satisfy Darius the same way working on custom commissions did. The giant concrete box that was the workshop didn't seem too inviting from the outside. A distinct lack of windows and dull paint were layered by the orange-black colors of the FICSIT logo. As it didn't seem like a regular store, knocking wasn't uncommon—Darius looking up from his work to shout: "DOORS OPEN!" He'd grunt, standing up from his stool and blowing a stray strand of hair from his eyes. The front door led to a showroom of their low-risk civilian grade products, but the actual run stuff along with the man himself were locked squarely behind several hundred centimeters of reinforced glass polymer. |

Crafting Rank: Engineering (B), Chemistry (B) Skillset: Darius specializes in simple but effective larger scale designs. Hydraulic bracers, grapple and support cable launchers, armored pieces, kinetic pads, etc. He's capable of more compact or tricky work but it isn't his go-to. Chemicals include medical sprays, rapid set foam, stimulant energy drinks, etc. Faction: Working as an official contractor of his name sake's company, Darius can design and sell equipment to people ranging from regular civilians to famous heroes. Civilians purchasing gear require work permits or company paperwork in order to purchase heavy duty machinery and industrial gear, but small self defense tools are over the counter. Enhanced support equipment is sold to those with hero licensure or hero students with a signed, official document from their school. FICSIT as a company currently offers lower prices to UAU students. As a civilian company FICSIT legally won't sell to known Villains—Darius wouldn't either, on principle.
