Kazashi couldn't help but chuckle at Jun's response, it was priceless, cute. A very Jun response. ''Thank ya, thank ya!'' She smiled, pushing a stray lock of hair back behind her ear with her finger. ''Yeah. It's somethin' Ah'm very happy about.'' Maybe the happiest she had ever been in her life, and that was saying hella lots considering all the happy moments she had experienced!! Meeting and dating Chuck, graduating hero school and becoming a pro hero... Now she was about to become a mother too.

Kazashi remained alert, but calm as the 'fan' approached them. She knew to be cautious when someone she didn't know approached her in public, even if it was with good intentions. Especially since lately, someone influential from the criminal underworld had started placing bounties on the heads of heroes. ''Sure. Just a quick one.'' She replied calmly, looking over at Jun. She was glad the girl didn't give anything away, that she was cautious too. As easy as getting swept up in the excitement of being recognized was, it was also a major red flag to be recognized in public outside of your costume.

As she had expected, most likely owing to her past experiences and high level of awareness, the man suddenly swung for Kazashi's head with his fist. At the speed of which he was punching it was no problem for Kaz to dodge and weave around it, even at such a short range. However, before she could launch her own counterattack, some kind of thick, black substance sprouted out of the man's chest, forming into another arm that slammed Kaz in her left arm and sent her flying backwards through several tables.

''I'm born under some kind of lucky star.'' He said, satisfied with having tagged Kaz before turning to Jun. ''Did you know that? To find the both of you here,'' he raised his fists and Jun and tried swinging at her as well. ''I truly am the luckiest man in Tokyo.''

She grinned after kissing his forehead, her heart so impossibly happy and full that the love was practically spilling right out of her eyes and her fingertips, as she brushed soft strokes into his cheeks with her thumbs. The little moments like this was what she looked forward to every day. It was what kept her going on those long shifts, those stressful scenarios where she would be saving lives, all she could think about was Chuck. He was the one that kept her going. All that love she absorbed from him and their long cuddle sessions, it was what made her the hero she had become. Confident in herself, tenacious, stronger, all because of him. She wouldn't even dare think what could happen to him on the job. He was stronger than that, tougher than anyone. No one could bring her Chuck down, that was what she told herself. Doubly so now that they were going to be parents soon. Unstoppable on all fronts, that's how far love would carry them, love for each other and their children. A family built on love, by two people who had only found it thanks to finding each other. Pluto and Charon waltzed, dancing their cosmic dance in a seemingly infinite darkness, but even in the middle of the cold abyss they could start a spark, and bring their own light into the world.

She didn't actually know whether they heard him or not, but she hella wanted to believe it. That their lil ones could already recognize their dad by his gorgeous voice. ''My accent?'' She giggled, ''ya want 'em ta sound like they're from my little corner of Okinawa?'' She curled into herself when he started complimenting all the things about her he hoped their kids would get. Blushing profusely, ''y-yer looks!'' She stammered out, grinning like mad. ''Yer charm, yer courage, yer eyes an' yer lips.'' She kissed her index finger and pressed it up to his lips. ''An' yer English! Yer language skills are hella the best, Ah bet ya will be a natural at helpin' with their homework.'' She beamed. ''Yeah, pa an' ma, the best parents in Japan.'' She leaned in to give his selfie arm a quick peck, love-drunk on him and the happiest moment she got to share with him. She giggled as they went through taking selfies from every angle, the only constant was that she couldn't keep her hands off him in every single pic!! ''Frenchie sounds fun.'' She said, leaning her face into his chest as he held her, basking in his comforting warmth. ''How about a red ta match my horns?'' She grinned, ''what about yers? What color are ya feelin'?'' She couldn't help but wonder if they would be doing this with their kids too. Chuck the hella most masculine dad painting his nails and theirs like a pro. She could picture them sitting here clear as day, playing on the couch, painting their nails and she would come in with some pastries and hot choco, secret family recipes of course!! Anything and everything to pamper her husband and their kids.

Before any of that however, she would try to grab a piece of sushi and hold it up towards Chuck! ''Ta a happy life.'' She offered him the piece, beaming, sniffling.

CHUCK MCCOY

Kazashi loved coming to this coffeeshop because it was so quaint. A small place, away from the busiest streets and just outside of the public eye, or the eyes of nosey journalists anyway. She had told a lot of people in her private life that she was pregnant, but on the hero front? Well, she obviously wasn't working the same hours as usual, but she hadn't exactly gone on her social media post to blare it out to the public either. Of course, rumors still circulated, why wouldn't they? Kazashi was a married young woman, people probably only thought it was natural. Still, she would prefer to keep the journalists off her back as much as possible, especially when she just needed a quiet day to herself.

With one hand around her cup of hot chocolate she stared out the window absentmindedly, it wasn't until someone talked to her that her attention shifted to the gentleman that approached her. She blinked her eyes, immediately surprised by what she assumed to be his very striking mutations. Ironic because she was used to getting looks for her horns. ''Somewhat.'' She said, then took another look at him. He didn't look like one of those nosey journalists, or if he was he was doing a very good job at hiding it. ''Ah'm no expert, but Ah'll do my best, what're ya needin' advice with?'' She smiled and gestured to the seat in front of her, encouraging him to sit down with her if he felt so inclined.

''Name's Kazashi by the way, but most people call me Kaz.'' She had a heavy country accent. Despite having adapted to the city life quite well, to the point that she would call herself a city girl, she still couldn't change where she was raised.

Dr. Dandy

''Thank ya, sensei.'' She reciprocated the warmth smile with one of her own. Never in a million, billion years had she expected to be meeting Fuyuko like this and talking about motherhood of all things! ''Ah guess Ah can't!'' She chuckled, rubbing the back of her neck. She was trying to be all lowkey and stealthy about it and here she was getting found out immediately. Oddly similar to every time she got in trouble back in school. ''Y-Yeah it has! That's how Ah first noticed. Ah started gettin' sick more an' more in the mornin' an' it just didn't add up, ya know?'' She shrugged and put her hands together. ''Ah thought somethin' might be wrong, it wasn't just mornin' headaches, Ah started gettin' nauseous too, so Ah called up my doctor an' here Ah am.''

She smiled at Fuyuko's reassuring words. ''Ya think so?'' She looked away for a moment, her face growing a little red as she thought about how her and Chuck would prepare for the babies together. ''Ah hope so too, it's a big step in life, an' it's a bit scary, but Ah'm ready ta take it. We both are.'' She looked back at Fuyuko a bit flustered. ''M-Me an' my husband Ah mean! We're in this together, ya know? It's the same guy Ah used ta date back then. We're also married now.'' No one knew he was secretly a villain as far as she was aware, but they had been dating since high school and she didn't exactly keep it a secret that she was in a relationship for all those years, still didn't. Hella too proud of her husband to hide him away from the world.

Fuyuko

She never slept as soundly as she did that night. Knowing that he was by her side, that she was pregnant and that their little family was all cuddled up together. Safe, home in his arms. That night she dreamt the sweetest dream, same as usual, just her and Chuck in the cozy surroundings. Picnic? Chilling in the reading nook, or on a boat ride with him and the lil ones? They were simple dreams, but not any less sweet for it. In her dream, the bell above her door jingled as Chuck came in, carrying the twins in his arms on the hunt for some of her best pastries. A bakery and a happy family didn’t sound bad at all. No Blaine Kaneko, no nasty villain debt, none of that could hurt them or their kids.

Was she scared of becoming a mom? Of all the new responsibilities her and Chuck would have to take on? How this would fundamentally change every part of their life? Absolutely. She was hella scared, but hella more excited that she was doing this with her soulmate. It was scary, but it was worth it. The amount of joy and love she had already felt in the last few hours was more than enough to last her a lifetime and a few more! She hadn’t forgotten his reaction either, played that moment on repeat in her head, the cutest intermission between the sappiest and most wholesome dreamscapes.

When he got up to work on something, she continued to dream away.

After a long night she finally woke up to the sound of Chuck. Was he carting something around? “Chuchu?” She muttered, smiling practically the moment she woke up and saw him, feeling safer than ever as he kissed her forehead. With her bangs out of her eyes she reached a tired hand up, hoping to give him a good morning kiss herself. “What’s all this?” She rubbed her eye with one hand as she sat up and looked down at the plates. “How long have ya been awake? What time is it? Ah could’ve helped ya.” Even if she was pregnant it was not like she expected him to do all the work now, although he probably would, happily too. “Ya gonna join us?” She smiled, patting part of the bed next to her.

CHUCK MCCOY

Kazashi happily took a seat. Not like she was in a rush or anything. She had the day off and could do with it what she wanted. ''How nostalgic.'' She chuckled, hearing that same tone of voice Fuyuko used back then. Kaz had no idea how the woman did it! After becoming a hero and having had a few sidekicks work with her, Kaz just wasn't the type that took well to being an authority. It was always so hard to balance that tone between lax and strict, not wanting to lean too much into either.

''Ah dunno why, did Ah do somethin' wrong?'' She smiled, she didn't intend for it, but Kazashi had probably responded with something like that in the past too. Way too many times she pretended like she didn't know she had broken school rules back in uni. ''A-..'' She blushed before letting out a relieved laugh. ''No way Ah could fool the watchful eyes of Fuyuko-sensei! Ya got me. What gave me away?'' And here she thought she had been so good at hiding it and playing it casual. It wasn't that she didn't want people to know, it was just that it was still a new thing to her and she wasn't sure how to bring it up in conversation. ''How have ya been? A lot has changed on my end as ya can probably see.'' She smiled.
