I misunderstood how quirks worked when I made Olivia, and did not fully delineate my intentions with her in her initial app. Since she's within the first 25 posts, I'd like to elaborate on what she'll ultimately be able to do. <3 I'm not sure if it's "too much", but... here it all is. Sections I changed will be denoted by pink in the original! [googlefont=Quicksand] [attr="class","likedo"] [attr="class","likedotitle"] [attr="class","likedotitle2"]Profile Adjustment [attr="class","likedoinfo"] [attr="class","likedosub"]Precedent QUIRK NAME: Psionic Dryad QUIRK RANK: C- QUIRK TYPE: ...yes. (Joking aside... transformation, mostly.) QUIRK DESCRIPTION: Most noteworthy about Olivia is the spray of pink flowers that often adorns the crown of her head, her cheeks, and her shoulders. These seemingly innocuous flowers emit a pollen that, when inhaled, lays a person's thoughts bare. Thoughts begin like a murmur, becoming a distinct voice as a person draws nearer. This facet of her quirk is by no means omniscient, only availing conscious thoughts to Olivia (and only from people who fit very specific parameters), but... Olivia hopes that this gift may one day prove useful in the medical field
The cherry blossoms that crown her head are only one small part of her true power-- which is that she can transform into a dryad, or a tree nymph. As her power stands right now, she can only produce bark along her skin, in reaction to outside stimuli (i.e. an impending or perceived attack). She's partially transformed only once, and that was in her latest fight with her parents.
[added a paragraph here in the revision]
QUIRK DRAWBACKS: First and foremost, there are only certain individuals that Olivia's power works on. If your character does not breathe, and therefore cannot get her pollen into their lungs and bloodstream, Olivia cannot read their emotions or thoughts in any way. Similarly, if they have allergies, a respirator, or a surgical mask, that's enough to mitigate the effects of her power as it will filter-out her pollen. Also, some people are just... private? Their thoughts are quiet and their emotions are kept close to their chest, which makes them difficult (or even impossible) to read. (In other words, this power relies heavily on the consent of the PLAYER. I am at your mercy. )
Wind can blow pollen out of range or away from a target, while water will reduce Olivia's range. Fire will burn it up.
Fire, overall, is just bad news. [expanded upon this]
Olivia is always enshrouded by the smell of cherry blossoms, so the telepathic facet of her quirk is always passively on. This, on its own, makes it difficult to talk to others as there’s always two narratives taking place– the internal and the external. Olivia will also never be very stealthy, as people will always smell her before they see her.
Since her power is always on, crowded places tend to be very overwhelming-- the noise of the real world overlapping with the sights and sounds of the metaphysical-- which can make going out in public rather tedious. This also accounts for some of why Olivia seems so distracted... there's a lot she’s trying to process.
Lastly, her power only interacts with surface-level thoughts. So while Olivia could try and get a person to think about a topic by asking leading questions, she can't delve into a person's psyche and rummage through memories at her leisure. All she can do is listen.

Ultimately, she will be able to fully become a dryad, which will grant her a wooden body that stands at about 10’ tall at its maximum height. While in this form, a single touch from her hand or foot can cause branches or vines to sprout from the ground at accelerated rates, all of which bear the flowers that usually adorn her head. This “accelerated growth” translates into a regenerative ability for Olivia, too, while she is in dryad mode… although it is laboriously slow (unpacked further in drawbacks).
Additionally, if a flower of Olivia’s is planted, it will sprout a little flower sprite, which she has affectionately dubbed “Little Bud-dy”. They seem to have a mutual understanding with Olivia, but their speech is completely unintelligible to any outside party.

Fire, overall, is just bad news– she burns just like any other person, perhaps even worse when she’s completely wooden.

While Olivia will (eventually) be able to produce branches/vines with a simple touch of her hand, these creations are only as durable/strong as her own attributes are. Anything of a higher strength or durability could break through them without issue. When it comes the the regenerative facet of her quirk, regrowing limbs take *weeks*. This only applies to things that are cut. Anything that is burnt cannot be regrown. While Little Buddies are cute, they have to be within range of Olivia (about 30’/10m.). They can communicate with Olivia, but other than that serve no practical or combat purposes.
