Well, he ain't loyal. Make no mistake: Although Lev may portray himself as someone who can easily empathize and understand the struggles of others, he is also the sort of person to use every bit of personal information given to him to absolutely obliterate someone's sense of safety. You don't get as far as he have by not stabbing a few backs and twisting a handful of knives, you know? Be wary of his empathy; it's either a precursor to having quite the ally on your side... or a sign that you're about to be played like a fiddle.
Overall, however, he's a simple person. One might call him an "old soul" given his fondness for rare collectable antiques and their management, but they wouldn't entirely be wrong nor out of line for saying so. Oh, Lev adores his little collections and his front-shop. It's a joy to run for him, really. Although he has perhaps an easier time of things when it comes to dealing with transgressions made by heroes or other particular bodies, nothing soothes his mind quite like the endless paperwork of running a small business.
In keeping with him being perhaps a bit odd, Lev is rather intelligent - and ambitious. In fact, the two are neck-and-neck for his most dominating traits. He's as witty as he is likely to find a way out of a situation, and he's more than capable of whipping up a quick-thinking plan to get out of trouble. Rarely does Lev move forward without considering every step, every consequence that could come from his action. After all, you want to be safe when you're constantly at risk of getting obliterated if you're not careful.
Lev is somewhat of an art critic. From classical music to masterpieces that have been around much longer than he has, he has an intense appreciation for the effort and talent that goes into making a single work of art, and will often go to great lengths to visit art museums without being noticed. He considers himself to be a collector, and has made a name for himself in some areas by swiping pieces of art and frosting them over for his own viewing pleasure. Naturally, stealing art is more of a pastime compared to his usual activities, but he enjoys it nonetheless; Nothing is better than having a masterpiece over the mantle.
He is a naturally cynical individual, and has trouble taking things at face value. He trusts few despite his innate ability to connect with them through his own empathetic nature, and few trust him; His skepticism comes out in the form of bits and pieces of humor that will slip out at times, often either during or after tense events. Not a coping mechanism, but an attempt to piece together the situation verbally while his mind is moving far faster than the rest of his body. His cynicism is offered with a sharp with and sharper tongue; Though he can be polite with unseen hostilities lurking beneath the surface, he will always have room in his demeanor for unsung doubt.
He isn’t afraid of going out of his way to accomplish his goal; Heroes and law enforcement, to him, are simple twigs that he has to break in order to get to the real pieces of firewood. He is willing to cut off his nose to spite his face, and he is more than willing to dig deep into the history of a hero to find a method of taunting them. No subject is taboo for him; To Lev, a line in the sand is a ridiculous notion. Cruelty is the basis for all powerful plays, ain't it? [/div] [div]He doesn’t care for throwing insults without backing them up, either; Should he ever threaten someone, it can be easily devised that he is going to uphold his end of it, no matter how graphic or brutal it may be. However, Lev is not one for unnecessary destruction or casualties, and strives to cement himself as someone who is more than a blunt headed villain with a tendency for anarchy. He is careful and cautious when approaching a situation - When combat does take place, even with his love of throwing punches held in consideration, he does tend to try to avoid causing any damage to an area. When he does manage to be pissed off, Lev couldn’t care less about freezing a building or a crowd; When this man is angered, none escape his fury, and few escape to tell the tale.
[div][attr="class","body"][div][attr="class","header2"]APPEARANCE[/div] » HEIGHT: 6'1 » WEIGHT: 188 lbs » EYE COLOR: Pale blue » HAIR COLOR: Black » SKIN COLOR: Pale » FACE CLAIM NAME: Wriothesley » FACE CLAIM SERIES: Genshin Impact
He's quite the handsome killer. His hair - strands of dark black that mirror obsidian, with scattered white streaks among them - falls just short of his shoulders, but is more frequently tied up than let down. He is a fan of covering up so as to limit skin contact with the outside world on most occasions, resulting in Lev often wearing a series of various coats, white undershirts, and long pants when out in public. He keeps a civil demeanor most of the time when around others, and may be mistaken for someone who has their shit together if he keeps his act up long enough. His gloves are always fingerless, however, just in case he needs to start defending himself or his employees.
Lev has a host of outfits to choose from, guaranteeing that his wardrobe will never repeat; As such, it’s expected that his relative sense of fashion is always changing. From sunglasses and lounge wear to three-piece suits, Lev’s clothing varies from day to day, although it always remains as a somewhat loose and comfortable presence. No matter what he wears in the domestic life, one thing is certain: Lev always wears sunglasses, and he always ties his hair up when in public, while his hair is always down in combat. When he’s working as the owner of Dominion, Lev often wears a pair of reading glasses; Both because he believes they make him look better, and because paperwork tends to strain his vision. No matter the outfit or situation, Lev's sense of style leans towards dark or reddish tones. [/div] [div]His villain suit consists of a [a href="https://i.pinimg.com/564x/82/07/63/820763736b71841a2841f43e4037a80d.jpg"]fine fur coat overtop a well tailored suit[/a], and an owl-like mask over his features. NOTE: History has mentions/implications of child abuse.
You came to this country to do your own dirty work for a change.
Tell you what. We’ll drop the flowery language, we’ll drop the prose, and we’ll give it to you straight: Lev Fyodorov is a murderer. More than that, he’s a murderer and a breakoff member of some Russian mob that has made a name for itself by leaving lilies in the gashed throats of their victims.
He was born in a Russian village with no name, mostly because ‘village’ is a generous way to describe it. It was a few buildings in a frostbitten grove, that’s all. He was raised with his father, for his mother had already crossed over to the other side. His father was a Hero, a real savior, which was fantastic for the town. Strength was needed to survive. His father once pulled a car out of a river, you know! He used that same hand to hit Lev. The same foot that created a chasm? Yep, same foot that drove itself straight into Lev’s abdomen.
Maybe his father was mad because Lev’s mother had died in childbirth. Maybe it was because, on the same day that Lev was born, his father had gotten into a crash on the road and his favorite truck had been totalled as a result. Ultimately, the reason didn’t matter. His father hated him, and Lev hated him too.
This hate drove Lev to a local group known as the Arctic Sons. They were a small gang from a nearby city, but their members occasionally visited Lev’s town, and when they did? Oh, Lev felt free. He felt fantastic, in fact. He had people who would listen and who, in turn, supplied him with extra education outside of what the school provided. He learned to fight from people who had been in fights. Academically, he was a star! Combat wise? He was a threat.
Well. Lev got uppity.
One night, after his father had broken one of Lev’s teeth with a killer right hook, Lev had went out with a sharp stone and keyed an inconspicuous car. He had smashed its windows, destroying it until it was nothing more than a pile of metal and glass.
And the next day? The owner of that car came knocking, and Lev’s father met him at the door.
In a different world, Lev knew exactly what he felt when he came home from school to find his father bleeding out on the ground. In this one, though, it was a mixed bag. Sweet, his jackass father was dead! But that was also his father. And, as mean as he was, he did raise Lev. These conflicting emotions only got worse when police arrived and Lev was asked a lot of questions too fast.
The back of the cop car was bad. The fact that the cops thought he did it was worse.
One thing led to another, and Lev was behind bars. No other suspects existed, and he spent a handful of years serving for a crime that he had only seen the aftermath of. His temper mellowed. He watched people. Learned their connections.
One guy - Fyodor, an older gentleman who was in for some kind of financial crime - had some… interesting connections. He talked about a group that would probably welcome someone like Lev into their ranks. A smart guy with a good Quirk? Sign them up. The two of them hatched a plan.
Evening rolled around. Three months before he was set to get out, Lev broke out. Fyodor went with him.
They fled as fast as they could, laughing into the tundra. Fyodor offered Lev a new name - yeah, that’s right, Lev isn’t his real name. It’s his chosen name.
Fyodor brought him to the mob who, true to his words, welcomed Lev with open arms.
But the moral of this story isn’t you find family through hardship. It’s good things don’t last.
Lev was ambitious. The mob was big, and he was quick to network with other aspects of it until he could recite every part of the so-called Lily by heart. His ambition got him jobs, and soon enough? He was your regular old hitman. Assassin. Killer. Whatever you needed him to be. He became closer with Fyodor, who - by then - he had simply learned to call Otets. Lev was a hitman. An assassin. A thief. A knee-buster for the Lily family.

Soon enough, he became a true member of the Lily family.

Eventually, they wanted a lead in Japan. Someone to go in there, gather members, and work something out. The yakuza were powerful. The Lily didn’t want a monopoly on crime forming. Not one that they weren’t the head of, anyways.
So, here he is. Technically working for the Lily, using an antique shop called Dominion as his front.
For now, he's with the Lily... but, hey, if a better deal comes along - or someone big comes knocking asking for someone bigger to be turned to dust - he'll damn sure hear them out, as long as it furthers his own goals.
[div][attr="class","body"][div][attr="class","header2"]QUIRK[/div]
QUIRK NAME: Chernobog QUIRK RANK: S QUIRK TYPE: Emitter QUIRK DESCRIPTION: Chernobog is an Emitter type Quirk that allows the user to (1) rapidly disintegrate whatever their bare skin comes into contact with and (2) control the ashes created by that destruction.
Objects affected by his Quirk will appear to have a black flame surrounding them. However, this flame is purely cosmetic, and does not give off any heat, light, or other effects. When an object or target is fully destroyed by his Quirk, they become nothing more than white dust indistinguishable from freshly fallen snow in both temperature and coloration. Lev can control the speed and intensity of this effect to an impressive degree at his current standing, slowing it to be torturous or speeding it up to where it's a blink-and-you'll-miss-it burst. It's then that the other aspect of his quirk - the manipulation of those ashes - comes into play.
In terms of the ashes and his control over them, Lev can shape the residue from his Quirk into various constructs such as ladders, spears, or weaponry, as well as adjust the density of them by packing ashes together. In his current state, he's mostly limited by his creativity and the amount of ashes he has on hand. The upper limit of what he can make in terms of size with his ashes is roughly a construct, item, or weapon roughly the size of a halberd (roughly 5-6 feet). He can create two or three halberd sized creations maximum depending on the amount of ash he has on hand, whereas - for other creations of varying sizes that aren't halberd sized - he can create five or seven of them, again depending on the amount of ash he has on hand.
The disintegration aspect of Chernobog, as it's entirely contact based, does not always need a line of sight. There are circumstances, however, where he does. If he's blinded, he can still activate it as long as his bare skin can make contact with something around him; as long as he's blinded, however, he will not be able to manipulate the ashes that come of that destruction.[/div] [div]As for the human rate of decay for his Quirk, it tends to be pretty damn quick; at full strength with no-holds-bars, the average Quirkless individual with no protection or gear can be whisked away into ash in a matter of seconds. For those with Quirks or defensive aspects, however, the rate can fluctuate. Note, however, that writer consent will always be obtained before any player characters are affected by Chernobog. [/div]
[div] [/div][div]QUIRK DRAWBACKS: First and foremost, Lev's emotions can impact his ability to control his Quirk. This is to say that, if he's especially emotional, his Quirk may activate on its own, risking the safety of those who might be in direct contact with him in the moment. [/div] [div]Beyond the narrative effect of that, however, his Quirk is one that is solely limited by close quarters. If he can't reach something to destroy it, then he can't create ashes to control. Chernobog lives and dies as a Quirk by Lev's ability to grab onto items or opponents, turn them to ash, and then manipulate that ash as a more precise weapon. If you stay out of his reach and keep an eye on his ashes, you're fine. [/div] [div]Naturally, his Quirk can be completely nullified by putting him in water or in the air, as there's nothing for him to destroy there and he can turn neither water nor air into ash. Additionally, his ash functions the same as actual ash; it becomes harder to use when it gets damp or wet, and can still be destroyed. While he can pack ashes together to create more durable weapons or constructs, such often requires more destruction in order to create more ashes.
Lev's ability to control his ashes is entirely based on sight. Unlike the other aspect of his Quirk, he has to be able to (1) see the ashes that he intends to manipulate and (2) be able to move his body in order to manipulate them, with this movement often being either a twitch of the finger or a full body motion depending on the amount of ash being manipulated. This ash still follows the regular physics of actual ash, in that it will become soggy and unusable if exposed to water, it can still be burned, destroyed, etc. While he can pack ashes together to make them stronger or sharper and reinforce his creations, he is always going to be limited by the area around him and by the amount of ashes he has in the moment. He can only manipulate ashes that come directly from his Quirk.[/div] [div]Finally, the size of the object comes into play. Smaller objects can be destroyed in the blink of an eye even when Lev is trying to hold his Quirk back, whereas larger objects take much more time. He can destroy a baseball in record time. Trying to destroy a building, on the other hand... well, now we're gonna be here a while.

Lev is intimately aware of how to take someone down from the shadows and, while he isn't world-class, he's damn good at what he does; guy knows how to do a damn good sneak attack and take advantage of his surroundings in a fight. His specialty happens to be battleaxes in close quarters combat, which one can imagine that he wields with a great amount of ease compared to the average person.

It was a wonderful spring day in Tokyo, Japan, If one considered an earthquake and the sudden appearance of earth golems to be wonderful. Smoke spewed into the air from the fire that erupted from burst gas lines and fallen electrical poles as people screamed and wailed as the tried to escape the calamity that had just befallen them all. Most of the larger buildings, having been built to withstand such natural disasters had remained intact. But the smaller, one story houses and stores were not so lucky, collapsing from the violent tremors and trapping their occupants underneath the rubble. To make the situation worse, golem's ranging from the size of small children to small adults poured out of the ground, destroying everything they could get their grubby little hands on. It was true chaos in the best sense of the word. A woman screamed and exited her car as three golems jumped on top of it before beginning to pound on it, only to find a four more surrounding her, waiting to pounce. A man called out four help as two golems began to drag him off towards one of the holes in the ground to do god knows what with the poor soul. Everywhere around the small Tokyo district screams and cries for help could be heard as people desperately hoped for salvation before they were consumed by flames, or crushed by debris, or kidnapped by Golems. It was a tough situation though, with the emergence of a much larger golem in the area most of the nearby heroes had been tasked with subduing the creatures leaving the pleading civilians at the mercy of first responders and anyone else who was nearby. TL;DR: Earthquake happened destroying some of the area, to make things worse, Earth Golems have emerged and have started attacking and kidnapping people.
OOC: welcome to the gravel event! Ya'll have been tasked with fighting the golems and saving the trapped civilians in the surrounding area while other people deal with the bigger Golem! Ya'll have four days from the last person who posted to post before you're skipped over! Have fun!

Kyo is a fiercely independent creature, stubborn in his pursuits. He just wants to do what he wants, and has little regard for authority or what's right... whatever amuses him, or his loved ones, that's what he'll do. One might even say that he's completely self-serving. He can be tricked into doing things he's otherwise reluctant to do– by either bribery, flattery, curiosity or challenge– but mostly he just does whatever he wants.
Thankfully, he’s generally mischievous, playful, but otherwise quite harmless.
Be careful not to incense him, however, for he's a sore loser, prone to either sulk or retaliate in the face of defeat. Kyo wears his heart on his sleeve, and is similarly charmed by kindness, earnest praise, and generally being cared for. He's always had to care for himself (as far as he knows), so having someone look-out for him is somewhat novel. The now-human facet of his mind craves that sort of intimacy. So it is entirely possible that, if someone shows genuine concern for him, he may become fiercely and unflinchingly loyal to them.
Lastly, depending on the recency of his last meal is a huge determining factor for how genial he is. He's far more waspish and violent when hungry, but sleepy and complacent when he's recently fed.

Kyo’s natural form is terrifying to behold, for there’s really nothing humanoid about it. He’s a sentient mass of goo, generally dome-shaped 6’ in diameter and 6’ tall. Its surface roils like sea-water, scintillating teal in the sunlight but black in the darkness. Multitudinous glowing white eyes line its back without rhyme or reason, and a great growing maw sometimes stretches on one side of its body. To the touch, it is smooth and oily like petroleum jelly, and can have variable tension based-on how Kyo flexes his body.
His natural form can stretch and contort with great ease, extending up to 12’ high. Sometimes it will sprout tendrils to grasp smaller objects,
Its human form (currently the only one it has access to) is a small, underfed lad with a mess of red hair that often falls in his hazel eyes. Kyo knows very little about this form, except that he found it in the woods with a gaping, red wound in its chest (which Kyo has since healed-up while using the boy’s visage). His human form has a good many scars all over its body, mostly in the arm and torso area, but some on the legs, too.
Kyo’s never been a person before, so he does things that people don’t often do. He climbs things and sits on things that he shouldn’t, stands too close and says things that are mean, and is loud when it isn’t appropriate. But with time, hopefully he’ll learn.
When he’s sleepy, or hungry, his forms start to lose their credibility– he may start to sprout more eyes, or leak slime from his orifices, or move in ways that most things shouldn’t. [/span][/div]
[div][attr="class","body"][div][attr="class","header2"]HISTORY[/div]
The slime knows nothing of where it came from, of who it was before it found the human in the forest. One moment, the world was dark– and the next, it was lying prone on the forest floor, looking at the stars strung like fishing nets over the canopy of the pine trees.
Nothing comes from nowhere, though. The slime was born in a hospital, to a mother that was fully expecting a human child. When she got an odious, black puddle instead, she and the doctors in attendance were mortified. They reached for it– but, sensing danger, the slime escaped down a drain in the floor, and escaped to the world beyond.
It made its way into the wilds, subsisting off of various wild animals. Once it devoured an animal, it gleaned knowledge from it and could even become it, allowing it to hunt more effectively. For years– perhaps even decades– the slime existed as an animal, wanting nothing more than a full belly and a warm place to sleep.
It wasn’t happy, but it wasn’t sad either. It just was.
But then, it ate a human, and suddenly the world was brought into a much sharper focus.
There were things the slime understood intuitively– this body it masqueraded in was not its actual body, but one that it had found, and subsequently eaten. This body had been dying before the slime had found it, too weak to move and gushing blood from a wound on its chest– the slime had simply finished the job, not wanting to waste an easy meal.
When the slime ate the human, it gained the human’s sentience. At that moment, it was “born”, so to speak. There are visions of things beyond the woods– memories of a world yet to be seen– and of a family. The slime had never had a family. But surely, this human’s family missed it– and so, it decided that it would venture into the world to find the human’s family. Under that ruse, it could learn about the world beyond.

QUIRK NAME: Voracious Ooze
QUIRK RANK: C-
QUIRK TYPE: Mutation
QUIRK DESCRIPTION: Kyo’s slimy body, while alluring from the outside, is capable of a grisly feat. When Kyo ingests another living creature, the enzymes within its slimy shell will digest and analyze the tissue. Once reduced to nothing but bones, Kyo can then use the genetic information to transform into the aforementioned creature.
There are two types of information Kyo gleans from the animal that it’s eaten– its appearance, and its behavior. This allows Kyo to make a more convincing double, and allows it to blend-in until it can hunt and eat again. When it comes to mimicking humans, Kyo can even perceive some habits and routines of theirs, as well as some poignant memories. Although these do fade with time.
Kyo currently possesses a number of animal forms, predominantly wild animals from the woods in the western part of the Tokyo province, as well as a few dogs and a few cats. He only has one human form, though.
QUIRK DRAWBACKS:Firstly, the digestion process is slow– if Kyo eats someone, it usually takes 5-10 minutes (2-4 rounds of posts) before the form is accessible to them. While he’s digesting, Kyo remains still to conserve energy and prevent its target from falling-out. This is also the window during which a person can escape from them, as Kyo always swallows its prey whole. As long as a person can hold their breath for that long, they can fight their way out. Kyo can only digest things that have a Constitution lower than their Strength. Otherwise, its enzymes just feel like the carbonation in a soda… or at worst, peroxide against a fresh wound.
Another issue is that forms “fade” over time. Once the bones of a form are fully dissolved, any color the form possessed will fade to a pale grayish-black, making it starkly different from the original form. This process takes anywhere from three to six months. As such, Kyo’s disguises are ill-suited for long-term cons.
Kyo can only pilot one form at a time, as he only has one consciousness. His consciousness is contained within a small, crystallized brain, which is about the size of a walnut. It seems to dwell in the base of his natural form’s mouth, creating an ambient glow. If the brain is crushed, he’ll die… but he’s otherwise got no innards or parts that can sustain damage. Whenever he transforms, he’s still just goo– he’s just mimicking the bodily systems that other creatures have.
Fire will cause the goo to dissipate rapidly, and it causes Kyo great pain. If a form is more massive than the amount of slime Kyo possesses, he won’t be able to take it. So, in dire situations, he may be stuck as a cat or a bird until he can eat again and acquire more mass.
Droning noises– either very high-pitched or very low-pitched– are also quite uncomfortable for Kyo. They’ll make his form ripple, and ultimately slip altogether. He’ll be stuck as a slime, immobilized, until the sound stops.
On the outside, his slime is totally harmless, and lacks the interpretive qualities that the enzymes within have.

Not only does she stand head-and-shoulders over most people, but she brims with warmth and bravado. She’s the type of person who will make friends with just about anyone, because she’s so easy to get along with. She laughs too loud, hugs too roughly, and may say inappropriate things… but it adds to her charm. She’s unapologetically “herself”, which just invites everyone else to be their authentic selves, too.
In the past, Teruko was deeply betrayed by people she’d been loyal to, so she tends to be wary of others– particularly those who hold power over her or the community. This is also why she tends to be fiercely protective of her inner circle, and why she frequently takes charge.
Her dedication to “her people”, which extends to her community at-large and the quirked population, is what compels Teruko to take such a staunch support for community service. Secretly, it’s also what compelled her towards vigilantism. She will do anything to protect the peace of her home and her neighbors. You can’t leave it to the government’s lap-dogs (i.e. heroes) to take care of the problem– their goodwill only goes as far as their funding. A person of the community– a person like Teruko– will act in the best interest of the neighborhood where they live, not the politicians.

» FACE CLAIM SERIES: Steven Universe / Godzilla franchise[/span][/div] Teruko is an impressive woman to behold, looming head-and-shoulders over most. She’s broad in the shoulder and hip, well-muscled, buxom. Her hair hangs in thick waves past her hips when allowed down, though it is often wrangled into a braid or a bun when she’s at work. When braided, one will notice that her head is actually shaved on the sides and only long in the center, sporting a classic "mohawk" style.
Her usual mode of dress screams “biker babe” or “elder punk”– ripped jeans, graphic tees shorn of their sleeves, leather jackets and combat boots. Piercings galore, and a fair amount of jewelry. From afar, she looks tough– which is enough to put those who don’t know her on-edge.
If she’s close to transforming, part of her appearance will preemptively shift– her eyes will go from their usual dark brown to a shocking amber– her grin will become sharper and more wolfish, and iridescent spines will start to poke through her skin. If partially transformed, she’ll either need to remove her clothes or risk ripping through them– but if fully transformed, her alternate form encases her (similar to titan transformation in Attack on Titan), thus preserving her outfits.
[div][attr="class","body"][div][attr="class","header2"]HISTORY[/div] Teruko was born on a small Okinawan island south of the Japanese mainland. She was the only daughter born to the Mr. and Mrs. Serizawa, owners of a bed-and-breakfast in the only town on the island. Their island thrived off of tourism from the mainland, and only boasted a few hundred full-time residents. It was incredibly close-knit, almost familial.
While the rest of the world was in disarray over the emerging “quirk problem”, the people on Teruko’s island gave no credence to such hysteria. Even when Teruko, only a toddler at the time, transformed into a four-foot-tall fledgling kaiju, her parents– and neighbors– handled the development like any other childhood growing-pain.
Thus Teruko grew up cheerful and unbothered– she went to school during the day, played with her friends in the afternoon, and helped her family with the bed-and-breakfast as needed. But the world beyond held its allure– the glimmering cityscapes in the movies that she and her friends watched were tantalizing and foreign, and Teruko always dreamed of visiting there with her friends. And though her parents were well-to-do enough to support their current lifestyle, they really couldn’t afford to travel.
When Teruko reached adolescence– about eleven or twelve years old– an executive from the film industry saw the transformed youth playing in the surf. At the time, her kaiju form was about ten feet tall, and was seen diving into the surf and balancing her friends atop the crown of her head, letting them leap into the water below.
Seeing potential in her quirk, the man approached– but the children bolted, unnerved by the overly-forward guest.
The next day, the producer showed-up at the Serizawa’s inn, pleading with Teruko’s parents to let her join him, gushing about how he could “make her famous”. Initially, the family was reluctant– but after days of debate, they agreed.
It was thus that Teruko’s tenure as the titular monster “Kamirex” began. Japan’s fixation on kaiju-related film franchises found her fast success. Sometimes she was the hero– others, the villain– but regardless, Teruko enjoyed the attention. She loved to see all the exciting places her fame took her– even to the United States!– and she loved all of the people that she got to meet.
It was during this time that Teruko met her best friend and frequent co-star, Nilmimi Chou, as well as many other quirkers just like them. They would spend lots of time together– and Nilmimi would even sometimes visit Teruko’s island between productions. (Rumor has it that they even dated, for a spell, during their teenage years, but this remains unconfirmed.)
Teruko lived a wild life, during that time, heavy into the party-scene and entertaining a revolving door of lovers. Even if she loved her family deeply, and held a commitment to the franchise, she was still a teen (and eventually a twenty-something) with lots of disposable income and very little supervision.
In her mid-twenties, things began to fall apart. Another costar– a crocodilian kaiju who had been Teruko’s mentor– died. And, rather than paying him his respects, they acted as if he was simply an asset lost rather than a friend or colleague. And, given the prevalence of the Quirk Rights activism of the time, Teruko found herself hastily radicalized. She and the other actors and actresses were more than just their quirks– more than just monsters– they were people with rights, just as much as their non-quirked costars. If their franchise couldn’t recognize that, Teruko didn’t want to be a part of it anymore.
Ultimately, she was let go– she fumbled for a few years before finding a love of baking. She began the first “Kaiju Cakery”, a 1950’s American diner-styled bakery that specialized in themed desserts, and slipped quietly off of the radar. She was replaced by a CGI deep-fake, and most of the world forgot about her.
And though she had stepped out of the limelight, she never truly stopped her activist work– but given her methods, she often flirted with the line between “activism” and “vigilantism”. The need for subtlety led to the development of her “partial transformations”... but she still garnered the attention of local law enforcement. But no one could really prove that it was her, as she had never reported the existence of her partial transformations to the government.
When she had garnered too much attention, she relocated– under the guise of “her business growing too big for the current location”, and decided to start anew. She now sits in a low-slung, five-story building in the heart of Tokyo. The bottom floor houses her restaurant, a vacant salon space, and a gym, while the upper stories are apartment spaces. She’s been there ever since.

QUIRK TYPE: Transformation
QUIRK DESCRIPTION: Teruko can transform into a kaiju at-will, taking a form reminiscent of both a dragon or dinosaur. The form stands about 25 feet tall, and 25 feet long. She's covered in slate-grey scales, and her back and limbs are covered in pronounced spines. When incensed, Teruko can lob shockwaves (either with the smack of her tail or the swing of her fist). The effect of such a strike can blow holes in buildings, throw opponents off of their feet and (at a close range) rupture eardrums or blood vessels.
Years of practice has enabled Teruko to partially transform, too-- meaning that she can transform just her limbs, or her tail, so that she can access her quirk without requiring her to become a full-blown behemoth. As such, she's more insconspicuous.
QUIRK DRAWBACKS: First and foremost, her form is large. It's built to be durable and strong, but not fast. As such, Teruko usually lumbers along while transformed, often relying on her ability to withstand attacks rather than dodging them. While she can build speed over time, she's freight-train fast. It takes forever for her to build speed, and she cannot change direction easily/at all once she's moving.
Given the unwieldiness of her form-- with her full transformation being 25 feet tall and 25 feet long, and her partial transformation being up 10 feet tall and equally as long-- Teruko is always bumping into and breaking things. This makes her quirk unsuitable for covert movement. Additionally, when she's charging-up a shockwave punch (or simply experiencing a spike in emotion) she bioluminesces. This only serves to make her less sneaky.
On the topic of her shockwave attacks-- her only control is the direction she throws the blow. Tail strikes radiate in a fan shape, while punches radiate as a cone. Anyone or anything in her blast radius can fall subject to the strike-- even allies-- so punches are not something that she throws lightly.
Given her reliance on her natural armor and shockwave punches, she's nothing compared to trained combatants.
Lastly, given the reptilian nature of her quirk, Teruko does not fair well in cold temperatures. While she can bundle-up untransformed, there's nothing protecting her alternate mode from the elements. Cooling her down will slow her down and make her sluggish, and eventually put her to sleep.
