Arcades was something Rin didn't spend all that much of her free time in these days, because it was almost impossible to find a time when they weren't absolutely swarmed with people. Still, she liked them when they were in their more empty and secluded moments. The atmosphere was usually comfortable and a bit on the dim side, and let her just kind of disappear for a bit and focus on the games. Today though, she was pushing at her comfort zone and going when it was pretty busy.
Not just because she wanted to though, there was no way she could muster up the courage for that!
Instead, it was because she was going to the arcade with Yunagi, one of her roommates, in an effort to properly make friends and get to know her better. If the two happened to make the trip together, Rin would try her best to engage in small talk if Yunagi wanted to - admittedly though the brunette would likely overcompensate with apologies and nervous attempts at jokes and other things. She didn't mind being relatively quiet on the trip over either though, and if they were simply meeting up at the arcade then that just meant Rin wouldn't have to stress about it until they got there.
Either way though, once they had both arrived at the arcade Rin was going to adjust the bag at her side and the hat on her head before giving a side-eyed glance over towards Yunagi and flashing her a nervous smile and asking: "Ah, is there something you'd like to do first, Yunagi-san?"
Like you'd expect the arcade had all kinds of things, from light-gun games to rhythm games to tests of dexterity of various degress of legitimacy - Rin privately was certain the light-timing game was literally rigged to make you lose no matter how good your sense of timing was. It was crowded too, with lots of people going this way and that and gravitating towards more popular games and having loud conversations amongst themselves.

The dimly lit and noisy interior of the arcade was home for Yunagi. Despite the sensory overload that she had regularly experienced from being in such an environment, it felt like home for her. It had been Rin that encouraged her to help get to know each other better and to get her out of the room. The violet haired roomie walked alongside Rin, being much more quiet and making small talk in small amounts. She was nervous about what types of games they had here, having never entered one since she was back home. It wasn't wasn't until the two of them arrived that Yunagi's natural frown would shift to a more neutral expression. "It's nice..." she said softly while looking to Rin as she'd ask of what they wanted to do first. There were so many machines and games. Too many to choose from. It was like taking a kid into a candy store and telling them to pick only one. "N-Not that I know of, Rin-san." she replied back just as fast, happily walking down the aisle while looking at all of what their was to do in this little hub of the world. Rin maybe could see her smiling to herself as she watched the people play out of interest. They continued to wander down the aisle path until the two of them came across one of those light gun games from the old times. It was a fairly simplistic game, sneaking into a classy, high tech facility as there were two orange colored guns that would rest on either side of the machine. Yunagi pointed at it while taking Rin's hand. "Look." she said, pulling her over. "Let's play this one."Rin
