"You got somethin'?" Kei paused for a moment, pursing his lips as he eyed the person on Farrin's back before he looked at the freshman himself. He'd been holding himself pretty well so far. He could trust him with whatever plan he's got. So Kei nodded. "Okay. I'll meet ya at the bottom then."

With a deep breath of his own, the support student deployed his last two arms out the window to cling on the scaffolding outside. He eased his passenger out before leaving himself, finally pulling his collar off his mouth to heave a breath of fresh(er) air. Then, slowly, very slowly, he began his descent. Only two quarms were supporting his and the worker's weight, so Kei could hear the strain in them as well as whatever they gripped on to. But you what, it's fine. As long as he was careful they should reach the ground no problem.

Keeping the pace as steady as he could, Kei's eyes wandered to the other student to watch his progress. Only for his face to contort in confusion at the sight. "Farrin?" What the heck was he doing? He could see the familiar energy around his foot, meaning he was either speeding something up or slowing something down. But there was nothing underneath him.

Unless...

Didn't Miroru say he could fly if he wanted?

By the time he realized what the guy was trying to accomplish though, Farrin did the opposite of flying and plummeted past him to the ground. Kei's brows shot to his hairline. "Farrin!" Picking up speed but only slightly, he eventually landed on his own feet, running to crouch next to the freshman. "Hey- you okay? Come on, I can carry your guy for ya now." His ears picked up sirens and he turned as firetrucks entered the scene, cupping his hands next to his mouth. "We need help over here!"

arrin bit down on his lower lip, biting back the pain coursing through his legs. Fly? Well, maybe something like it, in short bursts, one day, with more practice. Today? Nope. He managed about a dozen steps through the air when his concentration wasn't divided. But, after being sapped by his alters while running through a burning building? He was lucky to land the four he had before botching the fifth. 

When Kei offered to take the still-unconscious man over Farrin's shoulder, the time-turner was all too eager to accept. "Thanks, lad. Yeah, I think I'm okay," he said, picking himself up after passing off the civilian. 

The fire truck's sirens were as church bells in Farrin's ears, or more like some good punk rock. The firefighters were quick to get to work. Meanwhile, an ambulance pulled up beside the fire truck. Emergency services were fully deployed on the scene. 

Farrin stumbled forward a few steps, coming up at Kei's side after his upperclassman passed the unconscious construction workers off. "How 'bout you? Didn't get nicked in there didja?" Farrin was still catching his breath. There was a heavy pulsating pain beating down on his knees after the fall, but otherwise, everything was where it was supposed to be. After Kei answered, assuming he was okay, Farrin would continue. "Yuh' did good in there, bud. Yuh' know, yuh' definitely coulda made the hero track if yuh' wanted ta'. I know yer' heart is set on support n' yer' a qiz in that, but just sayin... maybe double major?" He laughed, not that UAU worked like that, to his knowledge. Emergency services were handling the fire and took the injured construction workers. Another job well done, though not one they were supposed to take on. Still, at least there was no crime-fighting involved this time.

Kei carefully wrapped the second man in the remaining two arms, lifting him so he was next to the first. It was a good thing they were strong enough to carry them without having their weight strain the sophomore's back. "Don't move before you're ready yeah? I can take 'em to the paramedics and come back for ya." The last thing he wanted was for Farrin to walk when he potentially broke something with that landing.

It must've been a strange sight, him walking to the ambulance carrying two grown men above his head with metal arms protruding out his back. He could only give an awkward wave to the civilians nearby who still had their phones out before he followed the instructions of medical personnel as best as he could, laying the workers on their backs in the stretchers.

The arms retreated back into his pack when the freshman appeared by his side, prompting Kei to look for any injuries on him as he answered his question. He said he was okay, but he could very well be saying that for his sake. "Nah, I'm okay-" a cough escaped him and he covered his mouth with his arm, coughing more against it. He pulled his arm away with a wheeze. "Well, other than inhalin' some smoke. But it's nothin' some rest and fresh air won't fix."

Farrin's suggestion made him blink owlishly. Him? A hero? He let out a laugh. "Thank you, you did too! But oooohoho no- this kinda thing ain't for me. Buildin' things is my callin'. That on the other hand?" He gestured at the building that the firemen were aiming their hoses at. "I'm leavin' that to the professionals." Kei didn't mention how he did in fact wanted to be a hero once. How horrible that decision would be given the full extent of his power.

He looked up at the dying flames of the construction site with a sigh. Yeah. He's better off aiding the heroes with gear than becoming one himself.
