hey there.
just another excuse to gush about your characters and whatever future plans you might have for them. something i'm particularly interested in reading is
1) your characters' narrative themes
self-explanatory. what are the themes you're exploring with your character and what perspectives do they have that you don't get a chance to talk about too often?
2) your characters build
how are you building them out mechanically? is this reflective of the themes you're exploring? do they enable them? or is it the most fun to rp out?
ok hope to see some fun things at a less degenerate hour :)

I'll edit this with my answer to the first question later but I'm just not normal when it comes to the second LMAO I think about this a lot
2) Summary: they all have goals that can be added to depending on what comes up during RP. I like the possibility of their skills being developed through inspiration from others!
Kei - S+ engineering, then presence at least A because he's trustworthy and to show he gets braver over time. He's meant to be physically average so I don't think I'll be touching the other attributes on him other than upping his awareness a bit. Honestly possible he'll be the least developed mechanically unless something comes up in RP that'll get him to learn something new.
Taro - S+ strength, speed and combat, B awareness and dexterity. Man's literally made of numbers so it's easy for me to imagine him not being bound by physical limitations. Constitution and presence stay at D- because he can't train the former and he's easy to manipulate for the latter. He has rocket boots and will get an explosive hammer; both were unintentional but I'm living for it because it aligns with his goals of destruction for EXP. S+ Quirk is his ultimate goal so he has access to the whole world; whether he succeeds in this is up to the RP. I want him to have more gear that relates to game features in a way, like a device that lets him shapeshift for "customization" or lets him keep his items on death. Action replay to let him cheat for the price of One DeathTM shortly after.
Elijah - High awareness, dexterity and speed. Limit breaks shared between all three so either they're all S or there's some imbalance to make one or two of them reach the max. Also physically average otherwise and presence stays low to go in line with his lack of popularity. I want him to be an expert in covert operations so stealth and combat targeting pressure points will be skills he'll have eventually. Also prosthetics as gear. Many of them.

I will answer these, because I am bored on my lunch break. hey there. just another excuse to gush about your characters and whatever future plans you might have for them. something i'm particularly interested in reading is 1) your characters' narrative themes Familial duty versus personal ambition. Personal greed versus moral benevolence. Sunadokei is at a crossroads in her life where she's ignored the path her father wanted her to walk. Instead she charts her own course, partly to spite them. She's also torn between her own greed and avarice and her strong moral values. Everyone wants to be rich. Not all of them want to do so at the expense of others. Sunadokei's 'build' is to be a brick of raw stats. She is not a subtle woman, commanding the stage and generally thinking thr world revolves around her. Her build reflects this, as she's about as subtle as a brick and totally lacking in any kind of nuance. To her, subtlety is for people who don't have a good reason to be seen.

| ★Jason Riviera★ | @crystalprincekupo 1) Narrative Themes Kupo has a number of these, but some are more important to his character than others. The first is the concept of 'childlike innocence'. Kupo is an unshakeable idealist and optimist, and this coupled with both his childlike appearance and his naivety creates the sense that he is innocent to the world's flaws (despite all he's gone through). This theme is pretty important to how Kupo interacts especially with characters a lot more cynical/pessimistic than he is. The next theme I try to emphasise with him is best exemplified by a quote: "If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants." - Sir Isaac Newton Kupo is very small. Small enough, in fact, to sit/stand on others' shoulders without hindering them much (if at all). Kupo's father is very big, being ~6'6" and built, and is also an influential pro hero who has supported his heroic aspirations with training and resources befitting the family's celebrity status. In many ways, he stands on the shoulders of giants. Finally, Kupo's position on the sliding scale of 'pacifist' to 'murder is okay as long as it's a villain' is very important to his character. He stands very firmly non-lethal (thanks to influence from his prior-mentioned father) and very much takes issue with any heroes who are nonchalant about or place little value/care in the taking of lives.
2) Build Kupo's build is pretty simple: he's quick, perceptive, cute, and made of paper & fluff. His Quirk increases Speed & Awareness, with a decent amount of investment in his Martial Arts skill (based on speed & dex), Dexterity/Presence, and Acrobatics skill. Kupo's specialty is in rescue and mobility, and everything he's good at works towards that goal. His shortcomings, namely awful Con/upper-body strength, are also thematically linked to Kupo's small stature - he's way outclassed in a world of powerhouses and titans.

ThemesJun is part of a shell who's entire foundation is centered around the idea of death and rebirth. Because of the MHA setting I couldn't use everything that I wanted, but between my desire to find a Green Lantern RP (don't judge) and realizing that using this shell to tell a coming of age story, I thought it would be a nice change of pace. That said, Jun has instead of one great big arc has a bunch of smaller ones that tie into one another. A large portion of what I wanted to accomplish is up on the old site, of discovering some of these new emotions and coming to terms with them and unlocking the will and desire to become something greater. It's not 100% perfect and not everything was resolved, but that just means I can continue to build over here. Now we are moving back into the, "Am I even worthy?" arc, with a sprinkle of coming to terms with romantic interest (sorta). Build While Jun is technically taller than the average person (and built more athletic), physically she's still not very imposing. This lets me build more into the skill/speed/technique archetype, with a heavy focus on awareness to allow her to pick up on details that other people might not (which leads into the whole detective thing I also wanna lay out for her). She's good at all ranges, but the build also allows a few glaring weaknesses. Because she's not as physically strong as some people, if she's grappled she's screwed. She also relies heavily on field control, and if she can't set that up she's not going to have a fun time. I would say also that if an opponent can destroy gemstones she'd also be in a world of hurt, but I've done a lot of setting up to prevent that for her, so. Take that as you will. ><
