Those vibrant pink optics rest upon the woman who sounded like she was accusing the Ronin guy of underhandedly arranging some sort of trap. Softly exhaling through her nose like a frustrated cat, she understood the caution...

...she got that much.

Though it just seemed outright cruel to accuse the guy of something like that!

"Chill, I gotta chill...it's probably not as malicious as it sounds...no one with those kinda intentions would be here...would they?", thinking those words to herself, the mechanic on wheels tried not to let it fester.

Which it helped when Ghouligan spoke up again to help drag her mind from the trenches of wanting to start speaking up in the defense of someone who seemed like they were just here to help. Well...for now anyway. Since it seemed like even the one who wrangled them together was aware someone could be a snake in the grass, yet he was sure to let the whole ass group know he had the fuck around and find out chart ready. Something this twink tank KNEW wasn't all bark, especially after being his impromptu ally to take down Ryuu...rest the poor guy's soul.

But thing is, she knew he wasn't full of it and trusted he'd do all he could to keep them safe.

Tucking away the cards with forms of contact, whether or not anyone took one didn't bug her at all, though she couldn't help but get excited like a happy puppy about to go out for walkies!

SOMEONE WANTED TO WORK WITH HER OF THEIR OWN FREE WILL!

Leaning forward towards Warper, excitedly nodding a couple of times before clasping her hands together, "OHMIGOSH I WOULD LOVE TO!" Those excited words finished off with a squeal as she excitedly shuffled her wheeled feet, very clearly unable to contain her excitement at the moment. This was the first time someone voluntarily wanted to join her for anything in like...a....really long time!

Sure, part of that made her a little sad, but she wasn't about to fall apart over it.

No, she'd let bad habits kick in and tuck that pang of sadness right on into a dark corner, BEGONE WITH YOU, NEGATIVE EMOTIONS!

Eagerly looking around, she parted her hands and clapped at the thought of a tech-team potentially forming, HOW EXCITING! "Yeah! The more the merrier!" Turning her head toward the woman who dodged the introduction train to ride the suspicion express, it seemed like she knew quite a bit about the ENKI device thing..."Like YOU! Wanna join the tech-team?! You seem to know a bunch!"

ONCE AGAIN, JUMPING TO CONCLUSIONS IN A SINGLE BOUND, IT WAS GADGET!

That lady didn't even say yes or no, but she seemed to know a lil somethin' somethin'...

Then she snapped her fingers and pointed up to herself with both fingers, "RIGHT UM! I'm totally in!" Humming softly, she lightly twirled her fingers in the air, "Aaaaand I'll help ya if things go down the crapper too! I don't thiiiiink anyone here is out to be a backstabber or somethin', but ya know!" Shrugging with a bright smile that matched her chipper tone, she plopped her hands upon her hips. One resting upon the hilt of her gun which was more like a taser, but it didn't seem like there was an ounce of threat in the way she held herself. "Oh! Um! I'll also take on any volunteers who wanna help me look for supplies n' stuff! I plan to scout around for things we can use, places we can safely hunker down in a pinch n' all that! I don't mind doin' that alone, but..."

Taking in a deep breath before letting out a sigh, her smile dimmed ever so slightly, "...safety in numbers n' covering more ground. Definitely don't feel like fuckin' around to find out what happens if I get outnumbered..." Leaning back a bit, she reached up to rub the back of her head with a nervous laugh, "...though I plan on doing research n' making sure it's areas I can handle solo if I'm on my own with that. Erm...w-well...as much research as one can do, anyway! H-heh!" Oh yes, she was certainly familiar with that, unplanned surprises proving that research only does so much...boy was she all too familiar with that song and dance.

The skepticism was completely warranted. They had gathered under previously unknown circumstances, even with Ghouligan having now explained the groups mentality didn't change much. Those who were more cautious would remain so and those who were eager to be apart of something bigger than themselves.

The woman who addressed him about his means for getting an ENKI device was about as skeptical as they could be. The fact that she knew so much about the ENKI system either meant she knew someone who was on it or was on it herself. The control rings being required wasn't exactly common knowledge compared to the device or network itself. So he would let her finish her speech fully before scanning the room to see if anyone else had any follow-up.

"Control ring is attached to the back of the phone." if Warper flipped the phone around, he would indeed see that the ring was secured to the back of the phone. "I think Gadget might be correct. My knowledge of this device only goes that far, but you seem to have far more information than any of us. If you intend to stick around, then it might be beneficial to help those two." half lie and half-truth yet convincing, in his eyes, enough that any suspicion would be lifted. Well, anyone who wasn't as paranoid as he was, that is.

At Ghoul's acknowledgment of his contribution, he would add, "I'm tentatively interested. Trust is a fragile thing and you can never be too certain who you're dealing with. That being said, I don't have much in the way of contributing aside from what I've brought and my own skills." he'd tap the hit of his sword. "I suppose what I'm saying is call me if you're outmatched. There aren't many people out there that I can't beat."

''What makes you think I'm not serious?'' He grinned looking over at Dion, not bothered in the slightest by being told to shut up. For someone as loud as him it wasn't his first rodeo. Being a newcomer to the vigilante scene however, he had no chance of knowing who most of the people here actually were. Then the next person who spoke up was one he knew all too well, and not for any good reasons. ''What the hell?!'' He pointed at Grinta. ''Are you letting villains into this place?'' His loss to her was still fresh on his mind, and while she hadn't killed him when she totally could, he wasn't entirely convinced yet that she wasn't some form of evil. ''And who are you calling stop-sign!'' He clenched a fist at Grinta and the voice of the little monstrosity. He wasn't actually going to fight anyone and was clearly just throwing a bit of a tantrum.

When Jaida showed up with a completely different vibe to her and as more people started pouring in, he eventually dropped it and just crossed his arms, mumbling to himself with a scowl on his face as he walked further into the room and listened to Ghouligan's speech. He truthfully liked the proposal. Perhaps it was the naive optimist in him, but Eiji had been feeling similarly for a while now. The vigilantes were largely disconnected, some were even scared to seek refuge with the Hummingbirds because of a few rumors that had been spread about his group.

One by one everyone stepped up and introduced themselves, letting their opinions be known and telling the room what they could offer to this network idea. He particularly took note of the address Sho mentioned, being that he himself was a Shinjuku native. Chiming in after Jaida, Eiji stepped forward. ''Speaking of safe places to hunker down, I'm Guts, I can start fires! More importantly, I'm the Heart, and current acting leader of the Hummingbirds. We're a group based out of Shinjuku who can offer muscle to anyone who needs it, or shelter to those who need to lay low for a few days. If you're on the right side of this mess and willing to stand up against those who oppress us, whether they're heroes or villains, then you can call Hummingbird territory your home!''

Lifting her opposite hand from her cloak, and in doing so reveal her attire, she brushed the collar off from her neck and over her shoulder, loosening the strap that held her cloak around her torso. Her skin was hidden, but her stature bared itself, including the bracer wrapped around her left leg with it. "We don't 'ave the numbers for that type of ri'k; not with ju't us for the 'tart, anyway." Crossing her arms under her chest, she tipped her brigadier cap sat atop her hood. Her posture eased as she sat her weight on her casted leg. "A' for what shou may call me, I am 'G.' I will accept 'Miss G.' as a substitute, but I will not acknowledge alternatives. Unless they're clever. Then I will acknowledge them. Maybe." She tilted forward an inch. Her arms remained across as she craned towards the tech duo, offering them her sight and her time. "I could offer a favor for the sy'tem, sure. I may also 'ave some worthwhile connections for thi' project, depending on what we end up needing — I can promise, at the ve'y lea't, its quality will rival ENKI's." Her gaze turned, having finished her address, now to her last focal point: Eiji. In this sea of shaded figures — Gadget aside — his red hair burned loudly, screaming for eyes to watch it dance. Grinta's watched that dance once before, watching how it swayed when she dripped blood from it, and now, she had to look upon it again. The blood had been cleaned. Tilting an arm up from her cross, she rested her chin against the fist, tilting her gaze at the Heart. "Do shou 'ave any loca'ions outside of Shinjuku, 'top-sign?" she asked, tilting towards him from across the warehouse. He had no clue what all that ENKI stuff was about, sounded more like Bean's ballpark if it was some brainy tech stuff. All he was here to do was offer shelter, manpower and hopefully make some worthwhile connections that wasn't with this pretend vigilante in a brigadier's cap.

''Guts.'' He corrected her with a scowl, but tried not to let his immature side get the best of him as he continued. ''Our goals were never expansion, but protecting what we already have. However, times are changing and if we have to change with the times and spread our name throughout Tokyo, then so be it.'' He smiled confidently. They weren't even a particularly noteworthy group, otherwise the government would surely have cracked down on them sooner, and it was probably telling that they skirmished with villains more often than any heroes. Still, their allegiance was firmly with the vigilantes. Villains and even heroes just couldn't be trusted.

''As acting leader of the Hummingbirds, I can arrange for that.'' He put his hands on his hips and turned to look at Ghouligan. ''But it depends on where our meeting takes us today, and what everyone's plans are.''

Dion scoffed at Eiji’s rebuttal, but he was satisfied the kid at least had a backbone. If he’d gotten spooked off or submissive, he wouldn’t have been worth working with.

”You’ve done right by me once, Ghouligan. Seems the lot you’ve gathered are competent…more or less. Fine, I’m in.”

He’d push off from the wall he was leaning on and approach the smaller lady, Jaida.

”I’ll lend you a hand. Know the city well, know how to move around unnoticed. Shouldn’t be too difficult to get that set up.”

The tiger vigilante’s eyes scanned everyone present. Ronin and Ghouligan stood out the most by far- they seemed competent and knew their roles, but none of them were lacking in terms of value. Warper seemed to have a hold on the technology side of things alongside Gadget, and G was somewhat familiar with the Enki system. Hell, even the noisy kid had the guts to backup his vigilante namesake. Dion would never admit it out loud, but he did feel a little more at ease knowing they had such a strong lineup of candidates.

”One more rule I want to propose. This is a network, not a team, but any given link could be compromised. The less we know about each other the better, and the tighter our circle moreso. Let’s make an agreement now- nobody gets added without being vetted by at least three people. Sound good?”

“We can settle on a vetting system once we’ve vetted each other,” Antoine said. “I’m not delusional about the circumstances. I’m sure we’re all going to have our methods of investigation. And it’s going to take time before any of us truly trust one another.”

There were some here he trusted more than others. Stalker had proved himself open and trusting, already spilling his first name in their initial encounter. Unless this was a long con, there was little reason to think him malicious. He thought the same of Gadget — she wore her heart on her sleeve, even if she wore dozens of faces to compensate. Then, there was G. Less trust, but they had an upcoming rendezvous. He had seen their intentions. All that was left to check were their methods.

Then, the strangers. He knew not of Warper, Guts, and Ronin. Based on first impressions… Guts was safe. If not, they would have compromised their entire operation. Warper could be a mole, creating a backdoor for the encrypted network. And the most worrisome was Ronin. Of the things Antoine could guarantee, it was everyone’s safety. He had strength beyond his own in Stalker but saw the flaws he could exploit. Even then, his resounding character — despite his demeanor — made him the one he trusted most here. But with Ronin’s alleged skillset, Antoine wondered if he had put everyone in danger… more danger than he could protect them from.

He glanced at the Ronin’s blade. I need tougher balls...

“As far as business is concerned, I think we’re done here. I’ll be making contact with each of you within a few days. Take care of yourselves out there.”

Ghouligan would be the last to leave, ensuring no one was left behind. And if there were any unsuspecting visitors or those hiding amongst the shadows, he’d deal with them appropriately.

OH BOY OH BOY OH BOY OH BOY!

Ronin the cool swordsman who brought the mysterious ENKI device really thought the hat lady, erm, G, should join the tech team! All she needed was a favor?! EASY! The fine print of doing a favor for someone who showed up to something like this couldn't be so bad, right? After all, As far as she could tell? They were among a crowd with the intention of helping one another to network their resources, it would benefit themselves in the long run to ultimately protect others. So anything she had to ask for...it would most likely be within reason and worthwhile. "A favor for your help, G? Bet!"

Quickly handing out one of her cards to her, she figured it would be the best route to do a favor and get something that could help this group of folks sorted. Plus, it would help Warper in the long run, too, wouldn't it? She may have just met the guy, but she wanted to see his idea flourish and succeed as much as possible! Handing a card to Warper as well, she offered a thoughtful smile, "Here! Keep in touch, I can't wait to work with ya, I'll even bring snacks!" This was AWESOME! The tech duo might turn into the tech TEAM for real, real!

Though it sunk in that it wasn't like she had a lot of folks volunteering to work with her on finding more places and ground...

...maaaaaaaaybe Ronin's offer was extended to her, too?

Though she could see if that Stop Sign--ERM GUTS! Guts guy! If GUTS wanted to possibly work with her, too! She didn't know a darn thing about the Hummingbirds, but she knew about hummingbirds and they were really smol, adorable and colorful zoomy birds...so for their leader to pick such a cute animal for their group's namesake? Maybe he liked animals, too! Fussing with the cards in her grasp, she figured it wouldn't hurt to see if maybe she could work with more of them....right? At least leave the door wiiiiiiiiide open....let em' know she didn't bite, well, not those she was on good terms with!

Though as she was fussing over her cards, trying to figure out who to approach first and how, that's when one of the two folks she was actually familiar with approached her, Dion. Tilting her head up to the sound of his voice, she couldn't help but let out a happy gasp and smile brightly, "Right on! Th-thank you! I really appreciate it, I'm still learnin' about..well..everywhere!" Letting out a little light hearted laugh, she then noticed the meeting was wrapping up and coming to an end...

Dion's suggestion getting more or less shot down, she lightly gripped her cards and listened to how it sounded like Ghouligan didn't really trust them enough. Glancing up towards the tiger vigilante for a moment, a soft huff through her nose escaped her and it was then she decided to figure out a solution which would cross their opinions half-way, or-or something! "Well! Hollup! If that's the case--" Twirling the hand holding the cards she was fussing with for extra emphasis, she then finished it with a gesture towards the man who roped them all together with God's most obvious solution, "--then we'll run them by you, ya see how far new recruits get into the circle and work em' in! We'll figure each other out for sure when they pass the initial vibe check and meet the rest of us!"

Patting Dion on the arm before looking back up to him with a firm nod, it was her quiet way of saying I got your back. Kicking off, she skated around starting off with Guts the Stop Sign Hummingbirds leader, handing off a card to him, "Drop me a line! If I find anything safe, you can scope it out an' claim it as an expansion for the Hummingbirds! If you're really here to help good people and keep em' safe? I wanna help, full stop. So don't be a stranger if that's true, yeah?" With a lil finger gun, she threw in a grin and wink before skating on over to Ronin. Handing him off a card and keeping in mind something that stood out to her, "I know I could really use your help, claiming areas for shelters, too. If what you say about your skills are true? Don't downplay how being able to protect others is a skill necessary at any table, okay?"

Pivoting on her heel, she waved good bye and called out to them all, "Be safe an' call if any of ya need anything! A Gadget could be in your area! PEACE OOOOOOOOOUT!" Throwing up a pair of peace signs, she skated off and made sure to check the area to make sure all was clear for them to leave safely. After all, with these boots of hers? She could make it back fast enough to warn them about something sketchy at the very least! Otherwise, to the bright haired optimist, this wasn't good bye...

...it was see you soon, maybe some later than others, but never good bye forever.

Whether or not Eiji truly had the power to command the Hummingbirds as he claimed — bratty the "Heart" as ever — the power amongst his group, at least in whatever numbers it had, could prove a resource worthwhile. She couldn't imagine their individual outputs as extravagant, especially if someone such as Eiji was their designated leader, but she wouldn't turn down any such resources regardless. Gadget, on the other hand, bubbly as can be and bounding about the warehouse, lifted a grin straight from behind Grinta's mask. And, with the card offered before her, Miss G accepted it, lifting a hand from her cloak and examining it. A vigilante with business cards? "How audacious," she thought. With that and her statement of repertoire prior, she couldn't help but offer a toothy grin, one just as bladed and pointed as the mask she wore it beneath. "I promi'e, for whatever 'elp I ask, I'll give the same amount in turn. That's 'ow good deals work, shes?" She hummed a chuckle, watching as Gadget moved on about the room with the rest of her cards. Most namely, for Grinta's sake, her fellow "Tech Team" comrade, Warper, would have to be another character to familiarize herself with, watching him as he received one of Gadget's offers. And then, at last, her gaze fell to Ghouligan himself. He echoed the same distrusting sentiment, much as she did, but seemed to hold less account of the gravity that came with the magnitude of their alleged skillsets. To her, at least, their greatest dangers weren't heroes or villains. In the construction of this network, they were left most vulnerable to their ilk filling this room, as well as any backing behind each of them. Grinta moved to towards the door, stepping across the facility's middle path and towards the opening. "If that's all, I'll be ta'ing my leave, too." She'd wave a hand over her shoulder. "Don't forget our mee'ing, Ghoul, or I'll charge shou for missing it — at least fifty-thousand yen if shou do." "And you, brat!" As Grinta stepped through the frame, the creature at her back became clear to see; a grotesquely grinning, fleshy creature shaped like a ball with red eyes, flashed its smile at Eiji. "Try not ta do anythin' stupid while yer at it, kay? Wouldn't want ya to get beat down worse than ya already have!" All the more reason to show up today and immerse himself in a crowd of veterans like this, and he knew it the moment he stepped in. Knew that he was a small fish compared to all the others here. Still, that wasn't enough to keep him away. He was never going to improve if he didn't step up to the challenge. All he could hope for was that he was making The Brain proud.

''As far as I'm concerned you're all trustworthy.'' He grinned confidently, directing a thumbs up at Dion. ''I can see it in your eyes, you all have that same burning passion for fighting the good fight!'' He put a fist up to his own chest. He was about to head towards the exit as the meeting wrapped up, but stopped and accepted the card from Jaida. ''What's this?'' He held it up to his face, shit, he couldn't just read on the spot like this! Instead, he chose to focus on what she was saying, words speak louder than letters or something like that! ''That sounds great! Helping good people is what we're all about. The Hummingbirds is more than just a gang, we're a community. If you're ever in trouble or need somewhere to stay, feel free to stop by Shinjuku.'' He grinned back, stashing the card away as she skated to the next person. What a peculiar vigilante.

He glared daggers at the little creature on Grinta's back. ''That a challenge?! If you're looking for a rematch you'll get it! I've been training since last time you know!'' He ran after her, shouting and shaking a fist at Grinta as she took to the sky. ''That little..'' He grumbled, before letting out a sigh and turning to the rest. ''I'll be taking my leave! You know where to find me!'' He raised a hand to wave at the rest of his fellow criminals before heading for the train station to get back to Shinjuku.

Dion sighed. If Ghouligan wanted to push off vetting etiquette until later, then he wanted some kind of ground rule laid out. ”Fine, then nobody new joins until that’s sorted. Like I said, smaller the circle.”

The little redhead kid would earn a mildly amused scoff from him. The optimistic attitude was refreshing, if nothing else. Hopefully he’d keep that spark for a while longer.

Watching Jaida hand out little business cards made him wonder if he should consider a calling card of some kind. It might help send a strong message- but it also might leave behind unnecessary evidence and make the public think he was just some serial killer.

Before he could ponder the idea too much, everyone went off their separate ways- only Ghouligan still left to see him off.

The tiger vigilante placed a firm hand on his shoulder and leaned in. ”You’re puttin’ something real special together.” he smirked. ”But if you’re gonna play with fire, make sure you don’t get burned. Worst comes to worst I think I could smoke all of them- except for that Ronin guy. Seems like a good asset, but he’s a big unknown.”

With his piece said, he’d offer the closest approximation to a friendly farewell he was capable of and bounded off into the night.
