Her eyes lit up at Lylyana's sweet lie. It sounded so innocent but most important of all, it sounded natural, like she wasn't lying at all!! That's her queen bestie, she expected nothing less of her! All she had to do now was threaten the driver as they reached their destination. It wasn't a trick she could use too often. Use it too much and the cops show up, kind of like when you made people disappear in the woods and you didn't want it to be the same part of the woods unless you were begging for a fight to come your way.

''Not far sounds perfect! ~'' She sighed blissfully. She didn't exactly get tired like normal people did due to her regeneration quirk, but she was still a lazy girl at heart, and she wasn't going to wander if she didn't have to. ''Across the river!'' She held two thumbs up. ''I bet we can't miss it.'' Sure enough, they did soon come upon a river and there was indeed a path leading away from the shrines. ''I hope this one works out for you, bestie!'' If the cops had thrashed this place too they were practically asking for a beating. ''There really aren't many people out here.'' She noted, looking at the empty street around them. ''You're good at remembering directions, how do you remember all this stuff?'' Rui asked as she used her full body to take tiny hops over the railroad tracks as they crossed them. ''Second to last street... Right?'' Coming up on a little corner, she turned to look at the street in question.

Lylyana walked beside Rui. It was different to be here vs the center of Tokyo. The air felt much cleaner. The streets were mostly barren. It seemed most people were across the river at the few stores and shrine or off traveling. She heard Rui mention directions. Why was she actually so good at directions. "It is hard to forget how to go somewhere when you never go somewhere new." She generally stayed away from everyone and in the woods, landmarks were the only way to find something. "Yes, second to last street." She noticed the street turn and Rui stop at the street. "This is it. It should be the last house."

She was nervous as to what she would find. She hesitated before she began to move forward. The street was an upward hill. She could see the house at the end. It did not look like it was in terrible condition. It just looked overgrown. There was a neighbor out tending to a garden. Seeing the two demons startled the woman, but she didn't make any sudden moves. She wondered if they remembered her as a child or if she was concerned that they were raiding the house. She honestly didn't care. She made her was up the steps onto the front porch and brushed away some old spider webs that had formed. "Looks like it will need some cleaning at the very least." She walked up to the front door. She had left it unlocked the last time she fled. She hoped it would still be that way. She turned the knob and breathed a sigh of relief.

As she opened the front door, the stale air hit her in the face. She walked into the living room and it was like nothing had changed. There was some rot setting in on the older furniture, but nothing that couldn't be cleaned or fixed. She noticed a picture in a frame on a coffee table. She went and picked it up, seeing the picture of her and her adopted mother. She was saddened by it. She missed her mother a lot. She kept her emotions held back though. "Looks like this place is clean. No sign of cops interfering. My mother was murdered though, so I doubt they would."

''Really? That's so cool!'' She didn't fully understand her answer, but she didn't need to. All that mattered was that her bestie was super smart in her eyes and really good at directions! When they approached the last house Rui was ready to pull out her small knife, just in case something or someone was about to jump them. When the neighbor was startled to see them Rui simply smiled and waved at them. ''A little dusty, but it's a home!'' She agreed with a smile as they entered, coughing into her sleeve as she inhaled some dust on the way in.

''So you think you'll be okay here?'' She looked around, she wanted to help Lylyana get revenge on whoever had wronged her and her family, but even someone as brash as Rui knew it wasn't the right time to ask about that. For now, maybe cleaning the house up and giving Lylyana a place to rest was all they needed. After that they could do as much villainy as they wanted to. ''They only interfere when it's convenient to them.'' She scoffed. ''You have lots of space here.'' She plopped down, sitting in the middle of the living room floor. ''You might wanna forge some papers bestie, make it look like you own the place so if anyone bothers you, you can show them that it's yours so they don't get suspicious or anything!'' Like that neighbor they startled. ''Want me to help clean this place up? I'm like, totes the best cleaner I know.''

Lylyana breathed in the stale air and sighed. "Yea, I will be fine here. It will be somewhere to rebuild." She nodded just kind of agreeing with Rui. She walked towards the back of the house and smiled softly as she noticed the window she escaped the cops from as a kid. It was definitely a long time ago. She looked back to the living room and heard Rui mentioning owning the place. "I am not sure what forge means, but I may already own it. I was the only "child" for my mother. I was registered as her kid. In theory, it should have come under my control when I was 11. Whether I would need to make it formal is unknown. The problem is that I ran away from the hospital and the cops seven years ago. I do not know whether they are still hunting me." She snarled, thinking about her encounters. "That hero is probably still searching for me."

She looked around the house. It was dusty, dirty, and relatively stale. She would need to clean it top to bottom. "Yes, that would be greatly appreciated. This place probably needs to be cleaned completely." She went into the kitchen and grabbed a couple dish towels and her mother's cleaning supplies. She placed them on the floor. She took her backpack and tossed it under the table. "I don't know if these are still good, but it should help. Thank you Rui. For everything." She smiled and began looking through the cleaning supplies to see what remained.

She couldn't help but wonder what it was like, coming back to a childhood home all those years later. Maybe Rui would have gone to her own, if she even knew where in the mountains to even begin looking for the village she was born in. ''Oh really?'' She blinked her eyes a couple of times as she thought it over. ''Then you're probably fine, bestie! We don't want that hero coming around here anyway.'' But if they did, Rui wouldn't hesitate to protect her queen bestie, or get arrested trying anyway.

''Yeah!'' She let out a small cough, ''dust here and dust there.'' She tied her long hair back into a ponytail with a hair tie she kept on her person. ''Don't mention it!'' She grinned, feeling more alive than ever when she was being thanked and validated, maybe even appreciated? To hear it come from Lylyana, it meant a lot to her and despite how selfish and greedy Rui was, what she longed for more than anything was to have people that appreciated her and needed her. Getting to help Lyly like this, it was enough payment in itself, but only because she was getting the bestie discount. ''I'll start low!'' She gave a thumbs up, given their height difference she would leave the top shelves and doors to her bestie. ''We'll get this cleaned in no time.'' She helped her look through the cleaning supplies and soon Lylyana was going to have a shiny new home to live in!
