Daylight hours. Even Club Nirvana remained rather desolate at this time. A skeleton crew was all that was required during the morning and early afternoon schedule. Daisuke stood in for Elias as the Wish-Maker took to the city. Black suit, red overcoat, sunglasses more expensive than your car, and a cane made of magic. He was dressed to the teeth. Not for any particular reason or any audience. That's just who Elias was. Decadence. Extravagance. All of it was synonymous with the man.So, the man moseyed on down the street just a few blocks down from the beaches of the bay. Heads turned in his passing. Desire. Jealousy. Who knew? He didn't, nor did he care. Few would be stupid enough to make a move on the man at this hour. Shouting. Screaming. Terror. The first two he was accustomed to while walking the club. The lattermost, though? Not at all. A man ran on by, followed closely by a young woman. More and more bodies fleeing... something? Something by the beach. Then he saw it. "Oh my, now that is interesting," he muttered to no one. An assembly of crustaceans, large monstrous crustaceans, charged over the sand dunes and toward the street that lined the beachside. Many rushed ahead, chasing prey into the city proper. As a matter of fact, one was charging Elias. "That simply will not do," he mused, flushing his hand ahead and releasing a swarm of red threads from his fingers. So much for a leisurely stroll.

Tokyo Bay wasn't the worst place for a pick pocket to hang out, especially not during the summer when it could very easily get crowded out here. Crowds meant more people to steal from, but they were also a good cover and source of confusion. For someone like her hiding in a crowd after swiping something was child's play, and if someone particularly wealthy walked by she could always just try to mug them then and there. Having done a string of minor crimes already, she was sitting at a cafe enjoying a milkshake as she watched the street for her next potential target. With how he was dressed up it was impossible not to notice Elias, although she didn't recognize him right away from the angle she was looking at. Nevertheless, she finished the last of her drink and decided to tail after him. It was going to be the perfect robbery and who knew, maybe this rich guy was so famous that she might get on the news? She was giddy at the thought, right up until all hell broke loose as monsters appeared from the water. Large crustacean-looking things attacking everyone indiscriminately. Unfortunately, one of them was heading right for her target. He seemed to be managing just okay though, didn't that look familiar? Thin red threads... Everything was happening so quickly she still couldn't connect the dots. Then another monster came at him from the side. Drawing her knife, Rui stuck the handle in her mouth as she unwrapped the bandage skin around her forearms, launching it at one of the crustacean's antennae, wrapping it around it like a rope so she could hoist herself right on top of its head. The creature tried to shake her off, but she held on tight as she grabbed the knife from her mouth and stabbed it in the eye. ''Back off, thief!!'' Her words dripped with poison. It didn't take long for her to defeat the crustacean, tumbling off of it as it fell over. Her training was really starting to pay off. ''Are you okay...'' She started dusting herself off, but lost track of her sentence as she looked up and saw a familiar face. ''-Magic Bestie?!'' She exclaimed happily. She couldn't rob this guy, but finding a friend in the wild was infinitely better than tormenting some random civilian. ''What brings you out here? We're pretty far from Club Nirvana.''Elias

Thin threads of crimson ensnared the charging crustacean. Claws, leg joints, maxillipeds, all strung together now by the Wish-Maker. Elias pulled his arm back and tugged the creature to the ground. Chitinous armor scraped against the ground, tearing minute shards from the beast, but it struggled against the red web.
Another beast charge from Elias's right. It skittered against the pavement. A large club-like claw dragged at its side. One solid strike to the head might be enough to knock him unconscious. The Wish-Maker knew his limits. His strengths primarily lied in cunning and deception. Art such as he wasn't meant to take hits so heavy.
Elias swept his left arm under his right and spat red threads of its own, but before they could seize the beast, a familiar face mounted the crustacean and stabbed its eye out, then proceeded to plunge her dagger between its thicker plates and bled the beast.
"You have my thanks, little Angel. I'm fine."
With monster number two down, Elias's newly made threads wrapped around the first creature and added to the pressure tearing into the monster's armor. The threads dragged against its shells until, after a few seconds, cracks webbed around its entirely, and the threads broke through. Tearing into the weaker, meaty mass below, Elias ripped the creature apart.
With that messy business behind them, Elias recalled his threads. "The club is quiet at this time. I've my number two looking over the place while I moseyed on out here looking for a new suit," he answered. "And how about yourself? What trouble have you been getting into?"
Answers would have to wait. Three more crustaceans came charging down the street from the beach. "Oh, I will not tolerate a single stain on my Hermès," he nearly growled, referring to his 30,000 yen shoes. Again, Elias's hands were flushed ahead, his threads grabbing at the first of the charging trio. More mess awaited the two villains yet.

Out of every other villain or sketchy character she had met, no one else called her angel. It was something Elias exclusively did and it was a very effective way of getting her to remain loyal despite how dangerous their field of work was. Flattery gets you absolutely everywhere with Rui and whether he had consciously realized that or not she didn't particularly care about. Her thoughts ended at the fact that he had come up with a nickname for her and she was loving it. ''Powerful. ~'' She mused, watching the threads wrap around the first monster and slowly tear into it. She still didn't fully understand how his powers worked, but it was clear that he could attack from a distance with those threads. ''Really?'' She stretched her arms casually. ''I guess no one wants to go drinking when it's still so early.'' She peered up at the sun. The city was always way more fun once it set. That's when the interesting types came out of hiding and when committing crimes and getting away with it was a lot easier. ''Me?'' She asked with a devilish grin. ''Tokyo Bay is popular this time of year, more people means more fun. I'm just here to mess around and keep entertained until night falls.'' She looked over at the corpse of the monster Elias had taken down with her hands on her hips. ''Didn't expect something like this. Is a villain behind it, or are these some hero experiments gone wrong?'' Brandishing her knife she grinned back at Elias, ''Don't worry, bestie I'll make sure none of them reach you!'' She had been training since the last time they met and was able to intercept the two other monsters relatively quickly. The big question was how was she going to take them down? She could try the same maneuver, grab one of the eye stalks and rope her way up there, but while her bandages were unwrapped she wouldn't be able to regenerate so if another monster hit her while she was in the middle of climbing she would take a lot of damage. One of the monsters slammed its claw into her, pounding her into the ground before scooping her up in its vice grip. The perfect opportunity. Any normal person might fear for their life as they were brought up to the creature's mouth, but she was smiling like a kid on Christmas morning. The monster chomped down on her and she felt several bones in her body break, but heal just as quickly. With her body now in the monster's mouth she began stabbing indiscriminately, inflicting as much damage as she could before it spat her out. It wasn't enough to down the monster, but it would undoubtedly slow it down. Looking up she noticed that the second crustacean was still running at Elias, probably assuming she had already been eaten. With a snarl she took off running again. She couldn't catch up on her own, but perhaps with some help? ''Bestie! Can you trip that one up for me?'' She pointed at the crustacean ahead of her, hoping he had the energy to spare her a quick assist. Elias

Mess around and keep entertained? Cause trouble seemed more accurate. The little devil's favorite pass time no doubt. But Elias wouldn't judge. Her rather benign exterior did nothing to betray the malevolent mind below. Rui was chaos in the cutest wrappings.
"Haven't a clue, Angel," he started, considering both claims. The former was a possibility. The latter, well, doubtful, but one could never be certain. "Keep them from ruining my shoes, and it's free food at the club for a week." That would motivate her, right?
Elias yanked his hands left and threw the giant crustacean off course. Its large, armored legs skittered below it, dancing across the pavement, and then it collapsed. Alive, but every second counted in the middle of combat. Distasteful as it was, the Wish-Maker wasn't entirely unversed in the art of the scrap.
He turned to Rui who was now crab-feed. Anyone else and Elias would have... well... been disappointed that the creatures would b focusing on him alone now, but he had seen Rui's quirk in action a few times now. Would death ever claim her?
The first creature was struggling. Powerful claws swung wide and tugged Elias inward. He drew his arms back and braced his feet against the ground, but he was a man attempting to tame a rather large beast. With one last pull, Elias lost his footing and was flung the creature's way. Its claw came down, but he dropped into a clumsy roll. Concrete shattered and pelted the Wish-Maker, tearing into his suit, but his shoes remained undamaged.
Elias was quick to pick himself up, but at Rui's word his attention shifted. The second monster occupied much of his vision. It was closing in fast, obscuring all else. Each of these things was roughly the size of a car. And this one was looking to run him down. The first creature rose, but Elias pulled with all he had. Before it could right itself, the creature was pulled right back down, this time right in the path of the second. The two beasts collided, seeing both toppled and grounded.
"Hope you have something in mind," he shouted to Rui as she sprinted in his direction.

Hearing that she would get free food for a week was all the motivation she needed and then some. ''If anything, your shoes are gonna be more shiny than ever when I'm done with them, bestie.'' She grinned wildly, eyes widening as she stared down the monsters and imagined herself dismembering them with a type of strength she definitely didn't possess. Still, that didn't actually make her any weaker since her training was paying off. Cackling maniacally and covered in monster blood Rui was eager to go for the next one after nearly being eaten alive. She didn't have time to become dinner when free dinner was on the line! ''I do!'' She called out, leaping on top of the second creature, knife in hand as she began stabbing like her life depended on it. ''I'll McStab them both to death!!'' She proclaimed, remembering that the stabs were a lot more effective around the monsters' faces. She wasn't sure how much damage she could do to the second monster in the time that it was downed, but if she was efficient enough to render it immobile she would immediately try to jump to the next one. Nevertheless, while Elias's shoes would have been spared the worst of it, Rui herself would end up covered from head to toe in blood. ''Are you hurt bestie? I'll kill them extra dead and heal you up!'' She kicked one of the creatures on its carapace, more as an act of disrespect than anything else. Elias

Elias stood and watched as Rui went to work on the second creature that had charged him a moment prior. 'McStab them both to death.' How very Rui of her. That wasn't a plan. But if she was willing to keep their attention fixed on her, he wouldn't complain. He was, however, going to help.
"I'll be fine, angel. Just focus on that plan of yours."
While Rui worked her knife into the creature's face, Elias stared the other crustacean down. It was trying to right itself, which the Wish-Maker could not allow. Pointing both palms in the monster's direction, another swarm of red threads unwound from his fingers and ensnared one of its legs.
"Threaded coffin," he muttered.
Earlier, when he caught the oversized crab-lobster in his threads, he hadn't been able to cover the beast completely. There was too much mass for the number of threads he had at hand. A single leg, though, and he could put his more performative attack to use. Performative but powerful.
The threads completely enwrapped the leg, then pulled. And pulled. And pulled. Friction ripped away at the large appendage. Armor cracked. The softer, fleshier bits burned and tore away. Then, with an audible pop, the whole leg was ripped away. Blood and viscera poured out of the leg and the wound on the main body. It seeped into the street, drawing just short of Elias's shoes.
The Wish-Maker's glacial gaze fell on Rui and her target, which fell entirely limp. Repeated stabs to the face would do that to nearly any creature. Whether by sheer blood loss or puncturing some imperative organ, she had killed it. So, now, to throw her at the last of the beasts.
"Hold on, angel," he said throwing one hand in her direction.
Several red threads wrapped around her waist and arms, then tugged her up into the air only to drop her above the last creature in their immediate vicinity. She couldn't have weight much, but if she brought that knife down with her weight under the power of some falling acceleration... gravity, there was a fair chance she could thrust the blade even through the beastie's armor. If the dagger didn't break, that was.

''Focus is my middle name!'' Her stabs gradually became weaker and weaker as the creature stopped writhing from under her and she ran out of breath. Even someone with a regeneration factor as outrageous as hers needed to catch their breath every now and again, especially after executing so many attacks in a row. While taking a moment to herself Rui sat down on the corpse of the crustacean and watched her Miracle Bestie work his special magic. She still didn't know how he did it. Well, obviously it was a quirk of some kind, but it was so complicated that she couldn't help to be drawn to it, like a moth to a flame. Threaded muffin? She was sure that was what he said, but the promise of free food for a week had thrown her mind for a loop. Not that it made her enjoy the display any less. When the leg finally popped and ripped off the monster's body she applauded Elias. ''What's that like? To be able to make all that string?'' She made her fingers dance, as if she was imitating how he was creating it, only very poorly and exaggerated. ''Hm?'' She stood up and barely had any chance to register what was going on before she was flung into the air. She let out a scream, but it was one of giddy as she sailed upwards, her attention immediately falling on the last monster. ''I see it, I see it!'' She barely weighed anything, but that didn't make this trick any less fun. Elias probably hadn't realized the Pandora's Box he had opened and how Rui was going to ask for more of this in the future. ''Diving McStab!!'' She called out as she plunged down on the creature with as much force as her small frame could muster. Would their combination attack be enough to put the final monster to rest? Elias

If Rui succeeded, Elias would gladly answer. But only after the goalpost was crossed. He had flung her up above the last of the monsters. It skittered, trying to right itself with its remaining legs. It was larger and heavier than he and Rui combined, but the Mummy had gravity on her side.
A bowling ball only weighed about fifteen pounds or nearly seven kilograms. Drop something like that from a few feet up, though, and it could crush pretty much any bone in the body. So, throwing Rui's fifty pounds about two stories up, and even that minuscule weight, especially when thrust behind a knife, and even this large beast's armor would break.
And it did. When Rui's blade slammed into the creature, it collapsed. It didn't pierce deep, but it was enough, reaching the creature's ganglia. Between that and the blood lost from its leg wound, the creature could no longer move. Or do much of anything, really.
"Well, it feels as though flesh is parting from nerve. I know there's movement happening, something growing from my fingers or other parts of my body, but it's dulled. Without much feeling," he finally answered, threads wrapping around Rui again, this time depositing her at his side.
"Well done, angel. As per my word, Nirvana's kitchen is open to you for free for one week, starting now."
More monsters flooded the streets, but none along the block he and Rui occupied. It wasn't their job to contain this threat. No, that was hero work, and neither of them were heroes. That was for certain.

''Die, die, die!!'' She gave it a few more stabs for good measure, only to have her knife snap and break on the final stab. ''Serves you right!'' She punctuated her attack by throwing the broken knife at the lifeless creature, before turning to Elias. As far as she could see his shoes were still clean. They were clean weren't they? No blood on them or anything. Something that was quite impressive considering how grimy their surroundings were getting with dead monsters bleeding out left and right. ''Flesh parting? Like if I cut you with a knife?'' She was trying to wrap her head around it as someone with no flesh of her own. Although the threads had looked scary and exhilarating that first night in the Nirvana, now Rui saw that they could also be fun, and was completely comfortable with being lifted up and placed down next to him. ''Really?! You're the best!!'' Her eyes lit up like she had just been handed the keys to the city itself. ''Then what are we doing here? Food awaits!'' She grinned, before taking a look at his suit and his face. ''Did they hurt you bestie? I'll fix you up!'' She was already unwrapping the bandages around one of her hands with the other, especially since no monsters seemed to be going for them anymore. It was the perfect downtime to heal him if he needed it and to get out of dodge. Messes were for villains to mess around in and for heroes or vigilantes to clean up. Elias

Elias considered Rui's example for a moment. There were certainly more than a few screws loose upstairs in that one. Though she possessed healing abilities, maybe they hadn't kicked in until someone took a bat to her brain a few times over. He had thought more of taking a scrape to his arm or something, not being slashed.
"Dulled, dearie, dulled. Far less painful than that, but, as I said, you can feel some connective tissue or material moving about, unwinding from my fingers or elsewhere," he continued, probing for any sign that she might understand without the need for the bloody imagery.
"Oh trust me, I am quite aware," he replied after being called the best. He did, after all, think himself a gift to the world. How would the world go on after the day of his passing? He couldn't begin to imagine.
Next, it was his turn to pose in curiosity. That glacial stare drifted to the Mummy's hands and wrists as she peeled some of her self-made bandages away. Elias could heal wounds, of course, but he required one to make a wish. Otherwise, his quirk was entirely threadwork.
"Nothing a full belly won't mend. Come, let's get some food in you," he said, gesturing ahead, in the direction he had originally come from. "And maybe you'll tell me how it is your quirk feels in kind? I've seen it in action a few times now, but do you not feel pain at all? Or has it simply been lost to the annals of yesteryear?"

''Really?'' She looked back down at his hands, as if she was picturing him creating more threads then and there. ''People who bleed are so funny!'' She concluded with a big grin. ''Like it's an extension of you! I totes get it. Same as if I threw my bandages over there.'' She pointed to the side of her, but didn't actually throw her skin. She nodded insistently when he agreed. He really was the best. He called her angel, offered free food for a whole week, and his quirk was interesting too! She only hoped she could follow him into a big fight and watch him tear up a bunch of people one day. Maybe some of those guys that came to Nirvana to bother him? ''Okay then!'' She wrapped her skin back around her hand, happily skipping along as they headed back out of Tokyo Bay and towards the safety of his club. ''Kind of! If you shot me or stabbed me I feel it, but then it's gone again like that, like if a bug bites you and you squish it.'' She punched the palm of her hand to emphasize the squish. ''Your quirk is much more interesting.'' She said while looking up at him with big, curious eyes. ''You bleed and constantly feel wet from all the blood in your body.'' She wrongfully concluded. ''And you have strings!'' She thrust her hands forward again, as if she was trying to manifest the strings herself. ''What do you want to know about my power?'' She beamed, jumping from topic to topic. ''I'll tell you everything over free food, bestie!''Elias
