With the threat caused by the horrors appearing from the ocean finally curbed a closer look was taken at the sea around Tokyo leading to the discovery of illegal research bases on the islands. When the lead researcher of one such base was captured the media managed to get some words out of him before he was carted off to jail. "My research? You can have it! Search for it! I've left it all in many pieces!"
So began the Golden Age of Sailboating.
People all from all over Japan flocked to the sea, setting sail on all manner of vessels. Some sought riches, others knowledge and yet more to have a grand time. Chasing the fire lit beneath the nation a great many set their sights upon the waters beyond the shore in pursuit of their dreams.
Welcome to Island Adventures!
This event will function similarly to Seasonal Prompts, MAWS and Operation Babel. With the mutated sea life attacks of the summer abating as we head into fall the coast is clear, literally and metaphorically. Yet answers are still in short supply. What caused these unprovoked attacks? Why did they happen? How did these creatures come to infest the bay? Are the islands gonna be the hottest scene for parties going forth? En masse people decided there is only one way to find out. The spirit of adventure has taken root and a thousand people set sail for a thousand reasons.
Whether you wish to get on a boat and hunt down some of the remaining mutated sea life, head to one of the myriad isles of Japan to look for hideouts, use the media hype to host some sick boat or island parties or anything else boat or sea related is entirely up to you and your thread partner(s)! Any and all characters can take part in this event, regardless of which faction they're part of or how strong they are. Have fun everyone!

- The first two Island Adventures threads each character completes will be worth 75 event tokens for a maximum of 150 per character. Every completed Island Adventures thread past the first two will count as a normal thread, reward EXP accordingly and count towards the monthly cap.
- To be eligible for rewards all Island Adventures threads need to be marked with the tag [IA] in the thread title
- Additionally all Island Adventures thread must be made in either the Tokyo Bay or Japan sub-boards.
- The deadline for the completion of Island Adventures threads is December 1st 2024, to receive rewards they can be submitted up until December 7th 2024. Please note that threads submitted after this date will not be eligible.
