AGENCY DESCRIPTION
The Rising Sun Hero Agency & Idol Project is an agency established early in the year 2100 by UA Alumni, Aerian Verdi, better known as The Galvanizing Hero, Deidran. Deidran's goal had been to create an agency that elevated heroes beyond just simply being a hero by creating superstars, hence the idol project. Unlike other agencies which might focus on just hero work, The Rising Sun combined hero work with extensive development of an individual's presence and charisma. The final goal was to make each of their heroes an inspiring and recognizable brand name known across Japan.
The agency began when Deidran pooled all of her money, took a loan, and then blew it on an office building in the Ōhashi district of the Meguro ward. The opportunity was too big to pass up, because how many office buildings had a bar and stage in the basement, much less a small recording studio? However, the expense was great and left Deidran and her new agency with little in the way of funding, necessitating early maneuvers that some might consider desperate.
She began with fund-raising, charity concerts (with her and the agency as the charity recipient), and looked to friends and family for investments. Deidran's hard work and perseverance paid off, and she managed to get enough money together to keep her agency afloat for at least the better part of the year, but it would be tight. That meant that she had to watch her budget and not spend it on anything that she didn't need. Unfortunately, the entire place was mostly unfurnished and hardly befitting the name and future legacy of the Rising Sun Hero Agency & Idol Project.
The story, however, was just beginning, and this dark horse agency could certainly rise to the greatness that it seeks, but not without help. Not without more heroes and sidekicks, and certainly not without plenty of opportunities.
FACILITIES & MEMBERSHIP
ŌHASHI HEADQUARTERS
As of the middle of June 2100, the primary offices of the Rising Sun headquarters are mostly empty. This six-story building is destined for greatness, but for now, it is a hollow shell of success.
SUNSET LOUNGE & STUDIO
Beneath the headquarters is the Sunset Lounge & Studio, an open-concept area with a decent bar, small but functional stage, and a lackluster single-room recording studio tucked away in the back. Almost entirely unfurnished, desperately in the need of a makeover, and definitely not ready to have customers, much less put on a show, the Sunset Lounge is the primary focus of Deidran as it will not only bring in a bit of income but serve as the primary location for building her hero-idols up from the ground to greatness.
However, unless something is done about it, anyone thinking about taking her up on her offer will assume she is running a scam - so, Deidran, and anyone foolish enough to join her, have their work cut out for them.
JOINING THE AGENCY
Deidran isn't picky about who joins her agency. In fact, it's less about applicants trying to be recruited by her, and more her trying to convince everyone else she isn't some con artist scamming them out of their money.
No self-respecting hero would be caught anything-less-than-dead associated with Deidran's dream, unless of course, they felt sorry for her.
Sidekicks and junior heroes may find it appealing after a fashion. The low ceiling for entry means getting a job is no trouble, but having the job might come with some extra burdens, like keeping the agency from falling apart at the seams.
Civilian staff will have it even easier. Deidran is able to afford keeping at least one or two on staff for the year, so it's an easy-to-acquire job with no strings attached, but it's also one that doesn't currently have a future unless something comes together quickly.
Fill out the application, submit your resume, and away you go! That is all it takes to get a job at the Rising Sun Hero Agency & Idol Project... at least, for now.
