The group of new students has been divided after the briefing and escorted to different places for them to take the exams. Akagi Renjiro, Robin Prowell, and Freja Helt is no different as they are escorted to the ground beta where the place has been specifically design for them to take. Once they enter the area; they will see Fuyuko stand waiting for them whereas a deceptively vast area of city stretches behind her complete with roads and varieties of plantation. A big and deep rivers run through the city creating a two section of the city where two sections are connected by several bridges that is wide enough to hold four trucks side by side, while it is sturdy but there are some risk of it to collapse if it receives a lot of stress.

Welcome to your exam site, promising student. My name is Kamigawa Fuyuko and I will be your proctor for today. To save time, I will tell your goal Fuyuko greets them with a professional tone but with a relaxed pose. A villain has sets out their villainous android to the city to terrorize every civilians. While the pro heroes are busy handling that said villain but the robots are left unattended right now, we want you to act like a hero until the time runs out Fuyuko purposely left out their goal as vague as possible as she doesn't want them to act in a certain way because they are told to. Fuyuko wants to know how they will act without any external interference. We will give you the map of the city and communication device where it has a specific channel to call for me in the case that you are giving up but that is all the support you will get from us. The start of exam will be obvious but for now, feel free to discuss among your group now Fuyuko finish her explanation and then she suddenly vanish from the spot leaving them alone together.

Akagi was by no means an early riser, and it would seem the small break between graduating high school and getting the information for his college entrance exam was enough to absolutely ruin his sleep schedule. He managed to get through the sorting and briefing that inevitably brought him into the amazing facilities of UAU- which was enough to draw his tired gaze, excitement in his eyes practically wiping away his grogginess. Placed in a small group of would-be heroes, a professional hero quickly demanded the attention of whoever else was taking the exam, including Akagi.[break][break] And, oh boy, was this ever surreal. Honestly, he couldn't really believe that he was standing here, on the grounds of UAU, learning where other great heroes once learned. One such hero makes their presence known as they give everyone an announcement; a brief introduction leading into the scenario that they'd be playing out. Akagi was a bit afraid that he'd be subjected to only boring written exams- not that he struggled with them much, he just preferred to get moving- and this was exactly what he was hoping for when he had heard stories of UAU's exams.[break][break] As the scene was set, and everyone was dismissed into their groups until the exam began, Akagi cheerily turned to the two others who were paired with him. "Hello!" He comes in with a lot of energy, not wanting to make a poor first impression. "Name's Reijiro Akagi! But you both can just call me Akagi, way easier to say!" His two partners definitely looked interesting- which was yet another point where UAU did not disappoint. Unique personalities and eccentric people built the foundation of a hero society! Not that Akagi didn't mind if either of them turned out to be more reserved, either- those kinds usually were easy to ramble to, something he loved to do!

Freja was trying her best to remain cool. She was scared of this exam, but she knew if she lost it, she would lose her best shot at joining UAU. The exam area was huge too, she knew the university had funds, but this was ridiculous. Were they really trying to make their exam resemble a scenario they might encounter in real life? She turned her attention away from the scenery and over to Fuyuko as she started speaking. Villainous androids? Acting like a hero?

''Quit trying to act like a hero, Elias!'' A voice yelled in the back of his mind. People had got hurt that day because of him.

She smirked. How was she even supposed to act like a hero when she didn't know how-to yet? Was Fuyuko telling them to essentially just wing it? A map of the city and communication devices, okay, that at least would be a huge help. Actually, who knows maybe it would suck, it really depended on her teammates didn't it? Turning to look at the other two, Freja would rest her aluminium bat on her shoulder. She blinked her eyes at Akagi, a bit surprised by the energy he brought into the exam. A ball of sunshine, not bad, preferable to many other types actually. ''Nice to meet you Akagi.'' She pointed a thumb back at herself. ''I'm Freja Helt, but you can just call me Freja.'' As someone who was still refining her Japanese, she was eternally grateful for being allowed to just call him Akagi and not the full thing. ''Who're you?'' She turned to look over at the last student.

Hero?

It felt like a status symbol more than the civil servant it was meant to me. A popularity contest where the prize is adoration from the whole of Japan. Free reign for the strongest this country had to offer because if any one of them went off the leash, do you really think they could’ve been wrangled back? If a single Hero had decided that doing good was simply too hard, that helping the people they swore to protect was too complicated, their optimism was too hard a mask to keep on, do you really believe your saviors would sacrifice their comfort for your life?

Do you really think yourself so special that God would risk burns to pull you from the furnace?

The winged girl let a breath she had forgotten she had taken, her body tensed from the perception of danger all around. ‘Act like a Hero’? The proctor had no idea what she was actually telling these kids. Telling the children gathered to act with their best interest, take the easy route, become an existential threat to any citizen they encountered? Handing a gun to a toddler would’ve been less destructive.

Equally damning would have two of these Hero-wannabes find themselves as her partners, as this had become a group exam. They were each so naïve to the world, each capable of so many atrocities.

“Oh, hey. Wasn’t really aware this would’ve been a group exam.” She stated plainly as she fitted her helmet on, the boot-up process already underway. “I don’t really do partners so I'm sure you’ll understand.” she finished, as she backed away from the two students, too far gone for their own good. If they were lucky they would’ve washed out of the exam. Save themselves, and Japan, from their own foolish hearts. And if they didn’t fail here and went on to truly become a hero, Robin wouldn’t mind saving Japan from them years down the line.

Several staff are running around here and there for the final check preparation before the exam is starting. Fuyuko sits in front of big screen with multiple camera feeds from various angle where she can see the students as clear as crystal on one of the feed. Gradually, a 'go' signal from various department reach to her saying that everything is okay and ready for the exam to start. With a smile painted on her face, she sent out a simple order.

"The exam starts now"

The tallest building that is quite afar from where the students at the moment suddenly shook earth with a huge explosion that the wave scatters a wide area. Screams can be heard throughout the once-tranquil city, wanting to be saved. However, a horde of monkey robots pour out from the destroyed building ready to wreck a havoc. It didn't stops there as suddenly a ring flies to the sky and expand widely enough to cover a good chunk of area and hover menacingly. The intense grating noise that comes from the ring can be heard from all direction, teh area that is covered by the ring suddenly turn into a zero gravity area and many things are starting to sucks it upward. However, the grating noise that last long and it stops but when it stop every object that was in midair free falling to the ground intensifying the damage around. The good thing is that, the ring can't use that move in multiple time in success as there seems a cool down period. The ring is floating that is high enough but a rifle from the tall building that can be found around the area that they can find should be reach easy enough.

ENEMY LIST:

ANDROID #1

A hi-spec android that is equipped with high grade synthetic skin that let it to transform itself to various look and blends to the panic crowd waiting for time to ambush. This android capability is something that one student would not be able to handle alone but if they work together; they can take down this android.



ANDROID #2

A hi-spec android that is equipped with a zero gravity rings that it can control. It has two rings that can expand wide enough to cover a radius of 25 cm which this two rings need to cool down after manipulating the gravity and can only maintain the change for a short time. It still has other rings but a smaller one which doesn't need a cool down. This android capability is something that one student would not be able to handle alone but if they work together; they can take down this android.



ROBOMONKEY

A low-spec android that is not notable enough other than its number. The student should be able to handle this robot easy enough by themselves.

One of the other students in his small group eagerly introduced themselves with a good amount of energy, then prompted the last for an introduction. Unfortunately, they didn't seem so keen on the whole group part of this exam- while their words weren't exactly insulting, they clearly weren't willing to work together. Well, two out of three ain't too bad. "Aww, come on!" Akagi steps forward when they step back, "Don't be like that! We pass and fail together already, why not make the most of it?" Was that true? Akagi didn't know. But he was prone to tapping on people's shells, seeing if they were willing to break open.[break][break] Even if not, he wasn't ready to just let them part from their group! But as their introductions were coming to a close, the exam's start was signalled, and a large explosion shook the ground; chaos quickly ensued as Akagi turned over to the action, "Ooh! We're starting!" He seems ready to run into the fray, "Let me take the front! I'm pretty good at taking hits." A quirk suited to getting wailed on, he was sure that the robots weren't going to be strong enough to render his quirk null.[break][break] Looking towards the ring, Akagi felt himself pulled towards what seemed to be the center of this chaos but stopped himself in favour of waiting for the ideas and feelings of his teammates. "What are you both thinking?" He glances over to the other two in the brief moment before the robots were sure to be swarming their area, "I wonder how realistic they made it... maybe we should focus on evacuation? I think I heard screams, but I'm not sure..." Well, if they focused on covering any fleeing civilians, that'd be the best of both worlds, right? Beat up some robots and let people escape!

''Me neither, but here we are.'' She swung her bat around playfully to try and ease off some of the nerves. As long as her new teammates here didn't ask her about her quirk she would be set. Maybe she could even let these two carry her to victory? No, that was probably the wrong way to think about it. Then again, those might be her best odds of passing this thing and getting into the university. She wasn't just doing this for herself after all. ''Really?'' She eyed the helmet curiously. Would it help Robin with her quirk or something? ''Well, you look like a fast learner.'' She replied just as plainly.

Freja flinched when the first explosion went off, instinctively whipping her head around to look towards the source of the noise. Holy crap this really was the real thing, the school was going all out for this test. Her eyes were locked onto the ring like a moth to a flame, watching in abject horror as it sucked things into it. Yeah, there was no way she could fight whatever that thing was. Which was exactly why she needed Robin and Akagi to go after it. ''Akagi's right,'' She looked to Akagi, giving him a reassuring thumbs up. If anyone could talk Robin into it, it was the most positive member on their little, makeshift, maybe team. ''We're in this together, just treat it like a, like a... A bad day at work. There's a lot of work to do, but the shift is almost over. S-Something like that!'' She was blabbering, letting her nerves get to her. The longer they stood around the worse things would get.

She gave Akagi a slightly unnerved look at his first words after the bomb went off. Was he excited to do this? ''Y-Yeah? Taking hits? If you say so!'' She clutched her bat tightly. She would probably be best suited helping with the evacuation. After seeing that ring thing? There was no telling how powerful their enemies were going to be. When Akagi asked them what they thought, Freja spoke quickly, already trying to focus on the area around them. ''Look at your surroundings if you want to win. Focusing only on your enemy is what makes you lose the fight.'' She turned to look back at Akagi, Robin too if she was still within view. ''I say we focus on evacuation and we fight when we have to.'' She smiled, trying to seem sure of herself, but the truth was even the countless street fights she had been in couldn't prepare her for situations like this. There was a big difference between two gangs throwing fisticuffs and doomsday robots exploding buildings and using special weapons and who knows what. ''How about you, Akagi? H-Helmet?'' It wasn't until then that she realized she still didn't know Robin's name.

Eyes rolled from under the helmet that had quickly become her identity, these kids didn’t know how to take no for an answer. They had practically begged her to stay, to work together in order to ensure they could pass this exam, to ensure they were able to attend this school. It made Helmet’s stomach turn, how desperate were these two? To what end were they willing to delve in order to pass this exam, In order to become a problem on the grand scale of this country? The world needed less Heroes, and it needed them to work together like she needed a bullet in her head.

Before they could resort to groveling, various warnings flashed through her vision. Radio waves commonly associated with the detonation of explosives were picked up, and a full second later the world shattered around them. Glass was sent flying as debris crumbled to the ground of the once proud building, only to be ripped back upward in defiance to gravity. Helmet’s expression turned somber. She knew it was a test, but she couldn’t shake the feeling that these incidents would happen far too often with so many heroes running around.

While her two “Partners” spoke amongst themselves about a plan of action, she would survey the scene. The helmet flipped between various filters, each more illuminating than the last. There were dozens of heat signatures that resembled civilians, and a dozen more that didn’t quite match. Less biped in the human sense, and more hunched over, animalistic. More than likely robots but the overall low heat, punctuated by areas of intense heat where critical components lay. At least they weren’t endangering people in these mock attacks, although there would’ve been no complaints if she would’ve been able to take a shot at a hero this early.

Before responding to the desperate pleas of the two other children, she whipped the rifle off of the sling. It came clear and found itself nestled into her shoulder, her thumb catching the safety purely out of muscle memory. The sights found themselves already centered on the critical component of the robot as she clipped off two rounds. The heavy rifle coughed through the suppressor, sending the two rounds downrange into their target.

Strike first.

The robot recoiled against the round, its body fragmenting as the steel penetrators pierced right through the shell, any internal components, and back the other side drawing a deep sigh from the bird. Overpenetration was always an issue for her. She rolled her eyes under her visor and glanced back at the other students. They stopped, waiting to see if she was going to join them properly in this exam. The tension hung in the air as debris was literally doing the same as her mind looked for any reason to simply abandon them… until her vision settled on the bat.

It was an overall ordinary aluminum baseball bat. Perhaps dinged up from use, but just that, normal. If the girl was super strong, you’d expect it to be reinforced, or on life support, but no. It was simply a baseball bat. She looked up to the person attached to the bat.

Was she… quirkless? Or just stupid?

She showed no signs of having a quirk, unlike the boy who was so quick to inform them that he could take a hit. At his height and build, a defensive quirk made the most sense for him… but she lacked any of the necessary confidence brought in from having a quirk. Her words stumbled over each other in a desperate attempt to get Robin on her side, desperation one only felt if they knew they didn’t have a chance otherwise.

She reached into her pack and pulled out two small devices before tossing them to her… teammates. They were simply just IR strobes, but with the dust being kicked up, It would be nice to know where these two were without much stress. “Here, so I don't shoot you.” The light would blink quietly amongst the panic, “Evacuation is a good place to start, I’ll keep you covered.” She stated plainly, against her own better judgment.

While this was an exam for their capabilities, this was quickly turning into a test of Robin’s patience.

Quick decision-making! Were they outclassed in their own group? Oh well, Akagi wasn't about to let himself become the weakest link, taking the more experienced partner as a sign that he had to prove himself rather than getting disheartened. Catching the device handed off to both him and Freja, he'd take a glance at it before attaching it wherever it wouldn't get in his way. "So, evacuation! Aye aye, Helmet-captain!" He gives a small salute with a smile before he dashes forward, straight towards the chaos.[break][break] He always had a sharper eye than others, which helped him a good deal whilst navigating the warzone. He spotted a few actors who were clearly playing the part of panicked civilians, leaping forward as a robomonkey lurched towards them, placing himself between the two parties and taking a blow- before giving a solid punch to their metal stomach, giving them a nice dent and sending them flying back. He turns to the two civilians, "Uhm... I don't know if we have an evacuation point... oh!" He points over towards Helmet, "There's a person with a helmet over there! They should know. It'll be safe at least-"[break][break] Cut off by the chaos cutting into his instructions, he felt a blow against the back of his head- a spin around and another blow, clearly annoyed by the interruption. "Don't worry, we'll make sure they don't get you!" He scans the area once more, "Freja! How are things going with you?"

Freja felt an awestruck and slightly nervous smile creep up on her face as Helmet just popped some robots like she was shooting at tin cans. Was this the same girl she had tried to sass earlier? Hero school really attracted the most scary type of people. These two quirked soon-to-be students, Akagi and Helmet, they probably didn't realize it, but to someone like Freja they looked like monsters. She blinked her eyes, catching the device that was thrown to her and giving it a lookover before looking back up at Helmet. ''Y-Yeah cool thanks!!'' She definitely appreciated the sentiment. No worse way to go down than in a friendly fire incident.

Welp. There goes Akagi. Probably best to follow his lead so she didn't end up slowing her team down.

She would have grimaced if she saw the kinds of blows Akagi were taking, of course the guy was fine given his quirk, but that didn't make them look any less devastating. Unfortunately for her, she had quickly gotten tied up in her own robomonkey trouble, not too far from the team tank. ''This way, this way!'' She motioned for a few civilians to run behind her and continue on back towards Helmet. In the process, Freja could draw the attention from the robomonkey that was chasing her group of civilians, dodging one of its swings by rolling behind a car and using it as cover. Then, rolling back out she would hit the monkey in the ankle, causing it to stagger for just a moment so that she could smash it in the head over and over and over again. Panting, already exhausted she looked over to Akagi. ''..Fine! Saved some people, but these robots are something else. Do we know how many are left?'' She poked the one she had just beaten with the tip of her bat, causing it to topple over onto its back.

Orders were handed out and followed, the exam had begun in earnest.

The street they were going to be working through was a mess, made all the more difficult by the thick layer of dust hanging in the air. While normal eyes wouldn’t be able to go very far, enhanced vision suites would allow Robin to keep her long lines of sight open. She could’ve quickly established a Kill-Field around her fellow teammates, picking off any robots who would approach them. The idea of working with Quirked individuals simmered in her mind, a quiet growing anger that was prevented only from their apparent reliance on the bird. Both of the student prospects had placed their lot in her basket that she would carry them to the finish line, and if that’s what it took to get into UAU then she would drag them out of hell.

Her mission was the priority and she wasn’t about to let children stop her.

Her rifle coughed twice more, another robot fell unceremoniously as its Central Processing Hub was removed from its shell. The bullets penetrated through into some concrete, the lead never again going to see the light of day. Before she could pull the trigger on another robot, a blob of color entered her scope as a hostage ran through her line of fire. Her finger slipped from the trigger and back out of the well as she watched the person run up to her, a smirk barely hidden on their face. A grim smirk spread across her face, for being so smug they didn’t actually know how close to dying they were.

Robin looked at her teammates who were directing traffic her way. A smart move, barring the fact that they were going to tempt fate by crossing the street. The scowl turned to a grimace as she peered over her shoulder toward the exit.

She had to do everything, didn’t she?

She pulled a hand from the grip and pulled out several flares from her rig. The lid popped off and the flare ripped to life as it hit the ground. The second one was thrown towards the entrance and what could only be the exit for the hostages. “Please follow the flares, proceed to the exit.” her voice didn’t exude confidence, more like irritation. It made sense for her to direct traffic, but every second she wasn’t keeping overwatch on the other two was another second they could find themselves in trouble.

Not that she particularly cared… at least, not about the boy.

Her head whipped back around to catch Freja brutalizing a robot with her bat and Akagi returning a monster punch to another. A nod was all she gave them as she brought her rifle back up, taking a few shots at robots in poor positioning.

This was going… too well. Wasn’t there that whole bot with negative gravity they should’ve been worrying about?

The evacuation runs smoothly as the three student thwarts the attack of the monkey that directed towards the actors. Freja shows a brute strength combined with a crude technique, Reijiro play as a shield, while Robin from the looks of it has been chosen unceremoniously as the leader of the group while covering within distance. A solid team work for a hero prospect such as them, assessed by Fuyuko through the screen. Fuyuko write something on her note as she give a signal to the other staff to enter the next stage.

As if Robin has jinxed it, the ring that was stationary at the beginning after displaying what it can do starts to hover towards where Robin and the group is. There are only two vantage point nearby where a rifle can hit but there are some Robomonkey guarding the entrance of the building where there is a need of a fight if they want to enter and climb to the highest point of the building. There is a time sensitive for them to take down the ring before it destroy the evacuation point.

The movement of the ring also make the act of robomonkey shift. Where earlier, they are trying to attack the actors or the students but now they are moving to the two buildings that can act as the vantage point. Fuyuko looks forward to how they are going to handle this challenge.

Well, he was saving (fake) civilians, so it was going to be just fine, right? But, just in case, he thought to slow down a bit and back up a bit after seeing that the immediate area was clear; falling back to regroup with Freja, who was dealing with her own suite of robomonkeys, and handling them quite well for someone equipped with only a bat. He pops up next to Freja as she asks the question, thinking for only a moment. "Probably tons! Maybe an entire army?" He laughs at his own joke.[break][break] As most of the traffic made their way to Robin, Akagi turned around to flash the helmet person a smile and a big thumbs up, probably only visible thanks to their ability to see through the dust with their nifty tech. "Woahh... were those flares something they handed out before? It wasn't, right? Helmet's so prepared!" He seems pretty grateful for their inclusion in their team, "Maybe this won't be so bad after all, huh?" Of course he had to open his mouth, to comment on how easy it had been so far, to tempt fate as he had.[break][break] Or was it Helmet who had tempted fate first? Maybe. Maybe Akagi could take no blame for what happened next, as loose rubble and debris began to float into the air, causing the boy to rub his eyes to make sure he wasn't seeing things. He then glances back at Helmet; they probably had a plan, right?

Freja was wheezing, desperate for a break as she held one hand to her side and the other firmly around the bat and aimed at the robomonkeys. ''That would be bad news for us..'' She sighed, still impressed that Akagi could joke around at a time like this. ''Yeah,'' She only looked over her shoulder at Helmet for a brief moment. ''Way prepared. Do you regret not bringing a weapon?'' Just as Akagi helped jinx them Freja crouched low to the ground, just in case the ring was going to do something unexpected. You could never be too careful. ''Look out!'' Her eyes were focused on the ring in the sky, but something more interesting immediately caught her attention.

They were no longer being pursued by the monkeys.

But why? Why had the robots moved to guard the entrances? Were they important? She couldn't shake the feeling that it was a hint, but the debris floating upwards and Akagi's words quickly dragged her back to reality as she started thinking about whether they were going to be floating next. ''Yeah, but how? Do you have a ranged ability, Akagi?'' It wasn't unlikely, you never knew with these quirked people and the secrets they could be hiding, although he didn't strike her as the secretive type. Almost in unison with him, she glanced back at Helmet. When in doubt, look to the one who is carrying an actual rifle. ''Helmet! Any thoughts about how we get rid of this thing?'' She pointed up at the ring with her bat. If it came down to it, she was ready to storm one of the entrances guarded by the robomonkey squad.

She tightened the grip on her bat. Things were going south fast and there was no way they could pass the test by just standing around like this. The floating ring was turning into a bigger problem than she liked, they needed to deal with it and they needed to do it quickly. “This way! We’ll break through and get to that vantage point!” She pointed her bat at one of the groups of monkeys, deciding on a course of action instead of just standing around.

The tanky applicant ran in first to absorb some of the damage from the robot attacks, all the while Freja stepped out from behind him and started hacking down a path for the applicant carrying a rifle. With another swing to one of the robots’ heads it collapsed opening a narrow path for the third applicant. “Now!” She signaled, the rifle student blitzing past her and the tank. It already felt like a victory, but it was short lived as Freja took a jab to her midsection, losing her balance as the robot had landed a clean hit on her.

The student with the rifle continued to run, all the while their eyes were trained on the ring in the sky. Once they calculated they were within range, they slid into a crouching stance to stabilize their aim as they pointed the muzzle of the rifle upwards.

Clank.

Clank.

Clank.

The sound of rapid, metallic footsteps closing in on them tumbled from behind. Freja and the durable applicant had tried to hold them all back, but unfortunately a robot had broken off from the group and was closing in on them. The robot was about to bring its arm down on the rifle carrier when Freja smacked it aside with her bat, panting, bleeding. She bashed it once more and fell to her knees just as the shot rang out from the rifle and hit the ring. Thank god it was a hit.

With this, the evacuation could continue with hopefully much less casualties.
