The only thing that helped Sadako power through her paperwork was the thought of hanging out with Rin later. Despite the Gotoh siblings both being around UAU so much, they hardly had time to go anywhere and usually had to plan weeks in advance, mostly thanks to her own busy schedule. Today was one such day. Her shift at Ouros was done early so her and Rin would have a few hours to explore Tokyo together, her treat of course! She wanted to be the best big sister that she could, and older siblings always took care of their younger siblings. Today wasn’t just gonna be a day she could hang out with Rin, it was a day they could catch up as well. How was her time at school? Did she like her roommates? As far as she knew, Rin wasn’t one to date, but maybe she had an eye for a special someone? Who knew! Sadako certainly didn’t, but she was intending to find out. Pulling up to the school in her car, Sadako idly played with the keychain of her car keys by making them spin around her index finger as she sat on top of the roof so that Rin could see her more easily. As if she hadn’t been picked up in Sadako’s car a thousand times already. When she finally spotted her little sister, she would stand on top of it and wave as she called out. ‘‘Rin-Rin oooooover heeeeeeeere!!’’Rin

After so many long school days in a row, not to mention all the other stuff that had been going on lately, Rin was practically dead on her feet more often than not. Today was a rare 'not' for her, and it was all because she had hanging out with her older sister to look forward to. She'd woken up ready to force herself to get herself together, work up the energy to face another hard day of studying and training and work and not let the stress of it all get to her. But then she checked the date on her phone and remembered what she was doing today, and all of a sudden it was like her whole mood flipped around.
So when Rin headed out to meet up with Sadako, she had a bit more pep in her step. Nice dress, more comfortable than fancy, slip on shoes and a hat on her head, Rin had her bag held in front of her between both hands as she glanced around for just a split second... not that she actually needed to. Spotting her older sister sitting on the roof of her car, and then watching as she stood on top of it and called out to her, the brunette couldn't help the small smile that spread across her face at her older sister's free spirited antics. She could never do something that loud, or that risked falling off the roof or damaging the car somehow, but her sister always did things like that without any issue or concern at all.
It was one of the many things Rin admired about her.
"Ah, hope you weren't waiting for too long for me!" She was pretty sure she hadn't, but it was a habit for her to say stuff like that when she was meeting up with someone. Scurrying over, Rin's good mood was pretty apparent but so were the dark circles under her eyes that she couldn't really do anything to hide. "How's work been?"

''Psshh not at all!'' She handwaved the apology. ''I got here two minutes ago, the Tokyo traffic is fierce from the agency to UA.'' She let herself slide down from the top of the car roof. ''Looking good, sis!'' She took note of the dark circles under her eyes, but didn't let it show as she smiled and ruffled Rin's hair with one hand. Sadako had dark circles under hers too, although she spent a considerable amount of time on hiding them with makeup every day. She was wearing a suit and tie herself, a given since she had been coming straight off of work at Ouros. ''Same old, same old.'' She smiled, spinning around to open the door for her sister, before walking around to the driver's seat. ''Things have been slowing down for us lately, or maybe it's just that more heroes are patrolling Tokyo?'' She shrugged, starting up the car as she backed out of the parking lot. ''How about school? Despite having an office here there's a lot I don't actually get to see. Are you settling into the dorms okay?'' The dorms was the part Sadako had been the most nervous about on Rin's behalf, seeing as she knew her sister was the shy type, and Sadako herself remembered how chaotic her own dorm living days were. ''Your roomies better be treating you good.'' She smiled, ''what were their names again?'' Neither of them had stopped by her office for counseling, so that probably meant they were doing okay for themselves. The drive into the city wasn't that long and thankfully parking was easier than expected too. Pulling up to an ice cream shop, Sadako stretched her arms above her head as they got out of the car. ''What flavor are you thinking? I want to try some strawberry and pistachio. ~''Rin

Rin looked visibly relievd at Sadako's initial responses, even if she privately thought she was just being nice. Probably anyways. Giving her an appreciative smile when she spun the door open, Rin took a seat and got herself buckled in and even though they hadn't gone anywhere yet took a moment to just... relax entirely. Let Sadako handle getting them from point a to point b, and Rin could turn her brain semi-off during the trip.
"Ohh." She gave a nod, even though she didn't really understand exactly how busy heroes were or weren't and what slowing down meant. It had to be a good thing though, right? Going just a little tense at the question about school, Rin relaxed again when it shifted to the much easier topic of her roommates. "Ah, they're..." She trailed off for a moment, wondering if it'd be rude to list one of them last or not first and eventually settling for alphabetical order. "Emilia-san, Freja-san, and Yunagi-san. They're very nice, and really dependable I think."
Freja being tough despite being quirkless, Emilia having so many handy talents and keeping a cool head in emergency weather, Yunagi dealing with the same stuff Rin did and likely more but managing to keep herself together way better as far as Rin was concned.
Catching herself getting wrapped up in her thoughts Rin gave a deliberate deep breath and sigh to dry and slow down and relax again, and before she knew it they were at the ice cream parlor. Getting out and tilting her head slightly at the question, she gave Sadako a sheepish smile. "I think... Coffee, today. A big one."
Rin held her hands out to indicate a big cone. This kind of treat was something she didn't get all the time, and maybe she wasn't doing the best in school but... she deserved this much of a reward, at least, right? Sadako Gotoh

''Yeah? So you're getting along well with them.'' She was glad, and couldn't help but be a little proud too. She had grown up around Rin, she knew that her little sister could be scared and sometimes insecure, but she also knew what she was capable of. Her not only getting into UAU, but crushing it like she was, making new friends and living at a dorm?? Like, this was her quiet as a mouse sister of all people! She was moving mountains every day with the amount of effort she was putting in. She quickly brushed those thoughts aside, for fear of tearing up behind the wheel. ''Big coffee!'' She grinned, ''great choice! I'll pay.'' And pay she did. With her yen exchanging hands from hers to the owner, a few minutes later they had themselves their very own ice cream to enjoy. Rin's was big of course, and Sadako had gotten a big one too just so her sister wouldn't overthink it. ''It's nice with something cold on a hot day, don't you think?'' She let out a blissful sigh as she gave the pistachio flavored ice cream a lick. ''You know, I'm really happy that you got into UAU. Not just because I'm proud of you, but because now our schedules kind of line up some days, so now I can see you more often!'' She smiled, feeling sentimental again. ''Did you tell mom and dad? How did they react when you got in?''Rin

Rin nodded and gave a confirming little "Uh huh." as she glanced outside the window. She really was getting along well with them, but she couldn't help but wonder if her roommates felt the same way. Or if they were just tolerating her and humoring her when they were nice to her. Maybe they didn't actually think nearly as highly of her as she did of them? If that was the case... she only had herself to blame for not doing good enough. She'd have to try a lot harder to be a better roommate, a better friend, and a better teammate in classes.
These sorts of thoughts were quickly banished by the promise of a big coffee flavored ice cream, and her older sister being kind enough to pay for it too. She was always spoiling her, or trying to, and Rin maybe selfishly let it happen. It just meant Sadako was being a good big sister, right?
Nodding along as she took a bite out of part of her ice cream, Rin spotted it leaning to one side and hastily turned the cone in her hand to work on evening it out. "Definitely." She agreed. Hotter days for her weren't usually an issue because of her Quirk, but she still enjoyed a cool drink or a sweet treat like this all the same. Pausing to blink at Sadako, she gave a small smile. "Thats... true, I hadn't realized that." She'd been so busy with school and everything that it hadn't really clicked with her that she could just pop by and chat with her in person more easily now. Her expression faltered at the mention of their parents, giving a more strained smile as she focused on her ice cream. "Excited, happy, proud, all good things... uhm, maybe a bit too... obviously surprised."
She felt petty admitting it, but she had gotten the impression their parents had expected her to fail and were more surprised than they were proud. Sadako Gotoh,
