The pursuit of perfect is a long and arduous task, one that inevitably leads to madness or failure - or a mixture of the two. It cannot be attained, but what is gained along the pursuit can often be very valuable. For Takamiya Hoshino, one of UA University's few quirkless hero students, she has a lot of room to grow, and a need for those very valuable aspects she can gain through extensive training if she is ever going to be successful.

In order to get the most out of her training, she had conscripted a batch of drones from some random support student to use as training dummies and arrayed them all around the inside of an apartment complex to serve as potential enemies. They'd likely prove dangerous enough to be a challenge, or maybe even too much of a challenge. Sometimes those support students took things too far...

Hoshino looked up at the outside of the building, planning her method of entry, and then stepped back a few paces and looked again. It was a bit of a conundrum. She had to breach and quickly clear the drones across multiple floors, but doing so would undoubtedly require a lot of time, and the 'hostages' might not survive the situation. 
[break][break]She let out a sigh. "This might be easier if I had some help..."
[break][break]Hoshino really loathed saying that, but in the line of heroics, working alone meant struggling against something you don't have to, and could certainly get innocent people killed.

A previously ignorable background noise started to become fortuitously more notable as Hoshino allowed herself the indignity of wondering if it might help to have... help. Distant thuds and scrapes, coming closer! It was even now pretty significantly overhead, eventually surfacing as a rooftop structure- stair access or some such- exploded into concrete powder as a skeletal, humanoid bot slammed a fist through it in pursuit of a petite, redheaded girl with a fox tail and less obvious fox ears!

She wasn't so much outspeeding it as she was outplaying it. She was dodging by virtue of skill and positioning instead of outpacing the blows, leading it towards the corner of the rooftop, where she was "clearly" trapped- only to lunge just into its reach as it struck, pivoting to yank down on its hand and overbalance it towards the edge of the roof and send it crashing down to the street below a half block or so away from Hoshino!

As it impacted, a cheerful chime sounded, and a display plate on its chest turned green, indicating it had been successfully disabled, leaving the redhead up top to plunk down on the edge of the roof and, apparently, catch her breath- noting Hoshino and waving down at her as she noticed the other student.

I can pay no price too great for justice.

Hoshino sees some fox-girl or something like it defeat a robot in a rather impressive feat of physicality.

Something was happening nearby, and loudly. It drew Hoshino's attention and she looked up to the rooftop where some brightly colored girl was battling a robot of some sort, only to topple it over the edge and and claim victory. It was an impressive enough display, certainly not something that Hoshino figured she could top. But that was just how it was, right? The super-powered students at the university possessed all the advantages that she could never have.

Hoshino shook her head faintly and looked back up to return the wave. Might as well be friendly, right?

Either way, it seemed that the others out here were plenty capable, and if she was going to get to that point she had to work twice as hard as any of them. With that being said, Hoshino did slightly wish she had gone for a more manageable difficulty setting for her exercise than she had selected.

With a sigh, she turned her wave into a 'come down here' gesture. Maybe she could get some help from the other girl. Maybe not.

The wave was noted, and Miroru nodded- and hiked herself off the ledge she was sitting on. Without any notable explanation from the distance she was at, she took a few halting steps midair, like a child skipping down a giant staircase, and landed cleanly, wobbling only a tiny bit as she trotted over to Hoshino's spot, tail waving slowly behind her and ears upright in curiosity.

"Hey! What's up?" She tilted her head and glanced at the building, ears twisting and rotating faintly. "... lotta drones. Assault exercise? Or something else? I can't really tell which course they're set for from the outside, the hostage settings look the same as stage two target densit-OH! I'm being so rude!"

She swept herself down in half, bowing at the waist to introduce herself. "I'm Miroru, a first year in Heroics! Just Miroru, if you please. It's nice to meet you- what's your name?"

I can pay no price too great for justice.
