Though Hebi could have helped with providing an ice pack, she instead chose to sit down next to Hoshino, and then proceeded to wrap her tail around her friend. Hoshino didn't seem to mind, and actually seemed to get quite cozy with it, though she was definitely a bit tired. [break][break] "No, I think this will be okay," Hoshino closed her eyes and practically purred as she got comfortable. [break][break] "I don't know what anyone else had going on tonight," Hoshino admitted. Normally, she kept pretty good tabs on everyone. "However, I think there might be some left-overs from the other night, unless someone ate them." [break][break] She let her head hang back a bit and released a heavy sigh. "I'm just going to sit for a bit before I do anything else. I'm not hungry quite yet, either." The pursuit of perfect is a long and arduous task, one that inevitably leads to madness or failure - or a mixture of the two. It cannot be attained, but what is gained along the pursuit can often be very valuable. For Takamiya Hoshino, one of UA University's few quirkless hero students, she has a lot of room to grow, and a need for those very valuable aspects she can gain through extensive training if she is ever going to be successful. [break][break] In order to get the most out of her training, she had conscripted a batch of drones from some random support student to use as training dummies and arrayed them all around the inside of an apartment complex to serve as potential enemies. They'd likely prove dangerous enough to be a challenge, or maybe even too much of a challenge. Sometimes those support students took things too far... [break][break] Hoshino looked up at the outside of the building, planning her method of entry, and then stepped back a few paces and looked again. It was a bit of a conundrum. She had to breach and quickly clear the drones across multiple floors, but doing so would undoubtedly require a lot of time, and the 'hostages' might not survive the situation. [break][break]She let out a sigh. "This might be easier if I had some help..." In a world of super heroes and super villains, those without super powers have to work a lot harder to get the job done, at least some of the time. Not all quirks are great, and not all can be used in the line of duty as a hero, but if you've got nothing to start with, then you have to do it all the old fashioned way. For Takamiya Hoshino, that was the case. This quirkless student used a number of different methods, including explosives, to earn her way into the most prestigious university in Japan that catered specifically to students looking to become heroes. To say she had her work cut out for her was an understatement, but she wasn't alone in that. [break][break] She had decided to take a trip to training ground gamma, known for its unorthodox construction and highly industrialized layout. As garish as it may be, ground gamma provided a great opportunity to work on mobility training, as maneuvering through the various twists and turns, ups and downs, and strange structures created quite the maze. Anyone who could swiftly and easily navigate those alleys and avenues was sure to succeed in pursuing villains through even the harshest terrain, but Hoshino had a long way to go before she could claim success in ground gamma. [break][break] Hoshino dropped down onto a concrete knee-wall and took a seat so she could adjust her shoes. Having your equipment in working order was paramount to success, so she retied her shoes and made sure they were prepared for training. [break][break]Once done, Hoshino got back to her feet, dusted herself off, and secured her glasses into place. "Alright. Time to get started!" [break][break] Without further ado, she began scaling one of the structures, not paying much heed to the fact that she could easily run into someone else on her mid-day adventure.

Takamiya Hoshino is a spritely young lady with no abnormal features or mutations like some of her quirk-bearing counterparts might display. She is not overly colorful, nor is she particularly eye-catching. Her fair complexion, silvery hair, and blue-grey eyes blend into a backdrop well enough that the brighter, more unique individuals will easily overshadow her.
While she may not stand out in a crowd, that doesn't mean she isn't attractive. Hoshino has taken exceptional care of herself, so she remains very fit and mostly blemish free, not something that just anyone can claim. It definitely takes work, but it has paid off for her!
Hoshino is a lithe and spindly girl. There doesn't seem to be much to her but wiry muscles and attitude. She has long, slender legs and arms, a flat toned belly, narrow shoulders and hips, a slim waistline, a small, firm bottom, and a modest, yet shapely bust, many features which may be enviable, but generally not all at once. She just ends up looking a bit underwhelming and vulnerable to strong gusts of wind.
Hoshino's tendencies for her outfits bend aggressively towards showing off what she has, or in her case, doesn't have. She's prone to revealing clothes, even trimming her uniform to have as short a skirt as she can get while simultaneously raising the bottom hem of her top to the maximum allowed. Her daily wear isn't much different. Even in the winter she is likely to wear short shorts, miniskirts, and crop tops, albeit layered over some sort of insulating under layer.

THE SHINOBI PRINCESS Takamiya Hoshino is the heiress of the Takamiya Group, and a young woman with a rather eclectic personality. Depending on who is giving their opinion, Hoshino might be considered far from genuine. She has assimilated a number of different personality quirks into her own, sometimes even large portions of personality types, and created a complex persona out of it. Even though Hoshino adopted these various traits and quirks, it is what she honestly likes or wants to be, so others might say she is genuinely living the way she wants to.
A large portion of her personality comes from her upbringing. As part of the Takamiya Group, she has been fostered for the business world, and can be exceptionally talented at hiding her emotions. Likewise, she is capable of adopting a very proper and businesslike mien that can allow her to integrate in that particular circle.
Another large portion stems from her family's history. The Takamiya clan was historically a shinobi clan, and though they are not actively practicing their shinobi ways, they do maintain the old traditions, teach the techniques, and make use of the teachings on a personal basis. Hoshino's desire to become a hero despite her obvious shortcomings undoubtedly stems from this aspect of who she is and what she has learned, especially since she uses her shinobi traditions in lieu of her quirk.
These create her surface layer. Hoshino often appears withdraw, disinterested, quiet, and calm. She goes about her day without creating waves and plays video games in her free time. It isn't anything too abnormal.
However, with the flip of a switch, the stuff that actually makes Hoshino who she is can come to the front. It's like an energetic, somewhat bombastic gamer otaku merged with a delinquent punk, or some sort of mainstream TV persona gangster, and somehow managed to not split apart at the seams.
What was once a rather composed and amicable young lady switches into a very aggressive, passionate, and focused girl who has a major rebellious streak, a serious lack of patience, a tendency to spout nonsensical, threatening phrases when confronted, and a problem whaling on gacha games.
She's not intolerable to be around, but it can be very jarring for those unfamiliar with her to run into Hoshino when she switches things up. Generally, it is triggered by something, such as frustration or a need to complete a daunting task, but once it does it sticks around for a while. This personality does tend to put her at odds with authority figures, and she has a major dislike of any such figures she views as impotent or corrupt. It is very likely she will get in trouble on occasion because of it.
Hoshino considers herself something of an artist and an individual of impeccable taste, and has been known to tag walls and other surfaces with spray paint when she is out and about. She has been scolded several times for it, but hasn't been in too much trouble to date.
Of course, her aggressiveness gets turned towards being a hero, or in her case, more of a vigilante. She may be in the hero student course, but she has no intention of waiting to learn before trying to make the world a better place. She doesn't put up with weakness, nor does she tolerate cowards, fools, or bigots. Hoshino ventures out into the night and tries to take on trouble makers (like herself) and generally gets into trouble doing so.
Hoshino is a little different than some heroes. She doesn't hold back, she isn't going to show any mercy, and she will use every tool at her disposal to win. She knows that she isn't like everyone else, and that most of the villains she will encounter will be superpowered by their quirks. THE TAKAMIYA HEIRESS Hoshino is the eldest daughter and first born child of Takamiya Daishin, president and CEO of the Takamiya Group, and his wife, Chinami. As their eldest child, Hoshino's birth established her as the heiress to her family's legacy. The Takamiya Group stands proudly as one of Japan's foremost business entities, taking a true pioneering spirit to capitalist ventures, and thus commands a great deal of investment capital, and drives innovation across the country through hundreds of subsidiary companies.
The responsibility placed upon the shoulders of the youngster was great, and it necessitated certain things. Even as a toddler, Hoshino was surrounded by aids, effectively ladies-in-waiting, who waited on her hand-and-foot. They took care of everything she needed, but more importantly, they steered the development of Hoshino from a rambunctious child towards a more even-keeled and proper young lady.
Resistance was expected, experienced, but ultimately futile. Hoshino was not given the option to dissent or become her own person. She had a destiny, and that destiny was to take over the family business and lead it to greatness. If she wasn't ready, it would be a failure on her father, a shame on their legacy, and possibly devastating to a corporate empire.
To raise her as the proper young lady she needed to be, as soon as she was of age, Hoshino was sent to school, and not just any school, but the best school that money and influence could buy. Her father had a firm belief that education wasn't as important as connections, and perhaps there is some merit to that, too.
This elite and prestigious school served as a foundation for Hoshino that she'd benefit from going forward, and also served as a starting point for numerous friendships she'd have well into her later years - many of which could yield possible benefits for the Takamiya Group.
However, traditional education was not the only thing that Hoshino would learn. There were also the traditions the Takamiya family. Information, skills, techniques, and history needed to be preserved, and like the rest of her family, she would be taught. Hoshino would learn the ways of the shinobi.
THE KUNOICHI TRADITIONS By the time Hoshino began middle school, she was already training in her family's ancient ways. It began mostly as conditioning. Physical attributes needed to be raised, as did mental fortitude. Without them, she'd find learning their methods too difficult. She took to the training well enough, and results were promising, so her father was pleased. He may have preferred a son, but in today's world, it didn't make so much of a difference. A successful daughter like Hoshino would suffice.
Her training soon began to evolve, and with it, so did she. She was no longer just some little heiress to the family fortune, all prim and proper, but someone on a journey to a complex existence fill with intrigue and danger.
One thing her parents underestimated, or did not account for, began showing itself around the time she was accepted into her high school. Hoshino had spent so long under the thumb of her parents that she never really figured out who she was. Unlike most other kids her age, she had no identity for herself, and so she began assimilating things around her that intrigued her and quickly, perhaps even haphazardly, wove a tapestry that would serve as her self.
Hoshino picked what was popular at the time, or whatever sparked her interest. It could have been anything, and sometimes, it was. She took up being a bit of an otaku. She found a fascination in anime and video games, two of her greatest passions to this day. She picked up manga and even started writing her own fan manga which helped develop some decent art skills which eventually translated into street art.
Where the otaku was often the passion or coolness of something found in hobbies and introverted activities, Hoshino's other side was quite the opposite. She also assimilated the delinquent, the troublemaker, the stand-out crowd. The ones who rebelled against society to make a name for themselves, the ones who stood up to authority and never bent or broke, the ones who presented themselves with extreme confidence and even aggression, asserting a type of dominance over others.
These aspects of Hoshino came together and created a rather eclectic and unique set of skills, hobbies, and interest. Art, music, sports, video games, fancy cars, motorcycles, and more. Everything blended together and by the time Hoshino graduated from high school, she had become almost unrecognizable.
It could have been a horrible development for many, but Hoshino's training from her youth persisted, and she could switch from one to the other in the blink of an eye. So, her father was not entirely dissatisfied. Hoshino was still a suitable heir. THE ROAD OF BROKEN DREAMS In a world of quirks, those without quirks can often feel inferior or helpless. Hoshino, being quirkless, could have ended up that way. However, she had been empowered through years of psychological training to believe that she was just superior to others in some way, or, at a minimum that no one was better than her.
In a characteristically appropriate choice, yet an extremely unexpected one for her father, Hoshino applied to UA university. As someone without a quirk, she was immediately less capable of becoming a hero than others who had some useful super power. However, she had some things that other people didn't. She had a lot of money, influence, and connections to acquire numerous support items that could make up for her natural short-comings, and she had an innate fierceness and a suspicious willingness to endanger others (mostly villains).
By combining these things, Hoshino was able to use her ninjutsu training, a lot of explosives, and a healthy dose of tenacity to pass the entrance exams, joining a handful of other students in UA's illustrious history to prove that a quirk isn't necessary to become a hero.
Her methods and mentality, namely being less suited to the work, yet among the fiercest and most aggressive of her peers, led her to get the nickname Lemmings, which would become her hero name. Much like her, the actual rodent is a small, impotent creature willing to take on any threat despite being woefully inadequate to do so. The name has stuck, chiefly due to being quite appropriate.
Perhaps the success went to her head, or the desire to do good was already there, but Hoshino wasn't entirely willing to wait for her hero license to actually do hero work.
She gathered some friends, purchased an apartment nearby to use as a headquarters, and from there, operates as a rather unsuccessful vigilante while simultaneously attending UA University.
It has resulted in her getting in a bit of trouble from time-to-time, but thus far it hasn't been anything she couldn't talk, or bribe, her way out of. That could change, or perhaps her good luck would continue and she might find some success. HERO OUTFIT(S)
NAME: Cyber Shinobi's Gear RANK: D- MANUFACTURER: N/A DESCRIPTION: Hoshino's on-the-job outfit isn't like most hero outfits. It doesn't scream "I'm a hero", but has more of a cyberpunk chic. It features primarily purples and blues with blacks and grays that work really well with her fair complexion and silvery hair.
This isn't an outfit for the self-conscious because it shows a lot of skin. As the base layer, it uses a simple black sports bra and hot pants with fish-net cutouts on the sides. Hoshino then adds a white crop top tank top, a jacket, boots, and open-fingered gloves.
A number of smaller bits and pieces are added here and there for accents and aesthetic design elements, including a thin, flowing skirt-like strand of cloth and a longer tail on a cloth belt. Overall, she has nailed the cyberpunk ninja look rather well, and does so without drawing way too much attention to herself, except for those who gawk at this fit young lady. WEAPONSNAME: PreySense Suite RANK: D- MANUFACTURER: N/A DESCRIPTION: These fancy looking glasses are more than just nifty accessories, but serve as an AR HUD that links to camera feeds provided by PreySense Micro-cameras and allows her to quickly search and view the various outputs. Each camera is a tiny thing, hard to spot on its own, but certainly not invisible. Hoshino has a tendency to "hide" them in little plushies crafted in her image.
To facilitate the control of the PreySense Suite, Hoshino uses a handheld device. It can be a bit of a cumbersome set up at times, but it greatly improves her ability to counter threats in an area she has established herself in.
NAME: Judgement RANK: D- MANUFACTURER: N/A DESCRIPTION: The name may be a bit edgy, but this item is merely a collapsible quarterstaff. Made of flexible, yet unforgiving metal, it is perfect for delivering a life-altering bonk to anyone foolish enough to think their cranium is the superior material. Despite its rather ingenious engineering and self-reinforcing internal structure, Judgement is not as sturdy or stable as an actual, solid weapon and is therefore unsuited for certain tasks or lengthy engagements against particularly strong foes.
NAME: Ninja Blades RANK: D- MANUFACTURER: N/A DESCRIPTION: No self-respecting shinobi would be found without their typical ninja tools. Hoshino has a series of weapons including two straight bladed short swords, a handful of kunai, and a batch of shuriken.
NAME: Ripper Tape RANK: D- MANUFACTURER: N/A DESCRIPTION: This interesting roll of tape-like substance is actually a shaped explosive, very similar in concept to C4. Like C4, it is very insensitive and difficult to detonate without a blasting cap or proper detonator, so when it is deployed it must also be given one. Hoshino's tape is designed to be innocuous and has a colorful, holo-foil backer on it.
As a shaped charge, it forces the explosion in a particular direction. Some rolls are shaped to go outward, and create an explosive wave while other rolls are the opposite, and are designed to cut cut or blast through things. Like C4, it is extremely good at that particular job, and a strip of ripper tape wrapped around something can slice it in half so long as it isn't too sturdy.
NAME: Blast-o-Gons RANK: D- MANUFACTURER: N/A DESCRIPTION: These explosives are small, pyramid-shaped polygons roughly the side of a typical 4-sided die. They are not overly dangerous, but they do pack a good concussive force. They can be thrown and detonated or rely upon a blasting cap to explode on impact. Though they do create a tiny bit of shrapnel, they are mostly used for concussive force and are certainly enough to disorient someone. If enough are used at one time, they can be very dangerous!
MISC ITEMSCELLPHONE: As any good technophile does, Hoshino has the best new mobile phone she can get, and usually keeps it up to date by replacing it annually. She has a tendency to use domestic brands rather than foreign ones, even if they might be slightly inferior. Her phone will inevitably be protected by a cute case and most likely sporting one or more decoration items, such as her usual OX gamepad keys on a chain. GAME DEVICE: As an avid, but not necessarily pro, gamer, Hoshino will always have a handheld gaming device with her, generally in hand or in a holster, pocket, or other carrying accessory. She will generally have whichever is best and provides the most options for games. POCKET KNIFE: A staple of those who need to solve problems, get out of trouble, and maybe threaten other people. Hoshino keeps a pocket knife with her at basically all times. GO BAG: While not always with her, Hoshino keeps what she calls a go bag. It is filled to the brim with things that a delinquent might have, particularly street art supplies like spray paints, a respirator, and other such things. It also contains snacks! PERSONALS: Any self-respecting citizen will have their wallet for cash, cards, and IDs, a keychain for keeping things organized, and maybe a few other little items and necessities.

These traditions began with siege craft and ambushing, attacking in the dead of night and stealing away before anyone was the wiser. They also included infiltrating the enemy, blending into the environment, and destruction of sensitive targets. Hoshino has practiced the ancient teachings and learned them well.
She is able to set ambushes, move quickly and silently, perfect for setting ambushes or sneaking into places undetected where others might fail.
