Toshiro is a refined young man, despite his poor upbringing he eventually taught himself to carry himself like someone important, like a star. He is extremely confident, but also can be very charming and outgoing towards most people, giving a smile to everyone and never truly showing his real thoughts unless he’s really stressed or frustrated.
Whilst he’s not someone that turns up his nose towards others, his general attitude can make him feel very distant or at the very least someone who lives in his own reality, he likes to be the life of any party and be the centre of everyone’s attention, and for most people this can cause him to be a very straining and exhausting presence.
He also has a tendency to become competitive with anybody who might outshine him in a situation, being unable to gauge his own limits it might lead to him overextending to the point of hurting himself or creating problems in the short and long term. In the worst examples his intermittent bouts of jealousy can lead to petulant bully-ish behaviour where he’ll try to upstage his object of jealousy or even try to embarrass the other to regain his status.
Finally, Toshiro is very flirtatious and direct, whilst not particularly romantically inclined he finds a degree of enjoyment in playing with other people’s emotions, even being manipulative at times. Whilst it’s not inherently malicious, it can lead to him underestimating how another might experience it.

Golden eyes, Golden hair. Toshi walks into rooms with eyes drawn towards his presence, a conventionally handsome man by most standards, it is further accentuated by him taking care of how he looks and acts at all times.
When not working in the field, he is most often seen in nice jackets, shirts, and pants that accent his features further. Wearing all sorts of jewelry that further highlight his golden features, to ensure he always looks ever striking to the eye.
Whilst the untrained would not see much different, he also dresses up when he goes out into the field. Rather than what he deems to be bland and uninspired hero costumes, he is also well dressed for a hero wearing more casual jackets and suits that still highlight who he is. Using his quirk to add golden layers on top of that for any physical protection.

Toshiro wasn’t very well off as a child, his parents being what can generally be seen as lower class in terms of social status, they still worked extremely hard to give Toshi an upbringing that went beyond someone of his stature.
Part of it was trying to motivate the young child to learn various talents, from singing to playing piano, he was eventually discovered early in his teens by an advertising company who for a short while made him their advertising mascot. It was a quick start into more, and his fame would grow further, before eventually as a sixteen year old landing the leading role as “Golden Boy”, a precocious detective-slash-hero of the silver screen. The young man became an overnight sensation in many countries, and with his good looks quickly became a teen idol amongst his fellow youth. Even for a short time becoming a J-Pop act, to further cash into his fame.
As his fame and his value grew, it meant he and his parents were uplifted out of their lower social class into one of celebrities and their entourage. Toshiro changed accordingly, teaching himself to become more class appropriate to fit in better, and not be seen as an outsider.
For the better part of a century, “Golden Boy” was a marketing force. Big city billboards, big endorsement deals, and hit film after hit film. The sky seemed truly the limit for Toshiro, at least, until the next young star showed their face and quickly stole his thunder.
Feeling like he wanted to do more with his life, and knowing his fame was ever fleeting and still worth something, he made the shocking choice to take a break from his life as a model, actor, and singer… To become a pro hero!
Quickly ridiculed for the preposterous nature of his choice, he still proved some doubters wrong when he got his license all the same. Even afterwards people would love to question the legitimacy as to how he got his license, and whether or not ‘shady dealings’ were used between his agents and the association to get him fast-tracked for perceived PR boons.
His reputation was large enough for most agencies to… refuse him, outright even before applying in some cases. Many agencies not wanting someone as high profile as “Golden Boy” (although his hero name is Midas) in their ranks causing problems.
So instead, he devised the brilliant plan to start his own agency, The Golden Agency, with ample financial backing from his agents to turn the project into something that could profit everyone (But mostly the agents, of course). A hero agency befitting fame, one where every member would be a part of its fantastic* decision to bring reality television into heroics. Allowing everyone at home to finally see the true lives of the people protecting the world!

In terms of mechanical purposes, this quirk replaces and powers up Toshiro's durability to the listed quirk Rank.
Toshiro’s quirk allows him to produce layers of a gold-like metal onto parts of his body on command, mirroring the strength and density of platinum, whilst having the uncanny sheen of pure gold. It allows him to create a hard to penetrate barrier that can be used both to shield himself from physical attacks, but also use any covered part in an offensive manner (i.e. bash em on the head)
Not just dense, the constant production of layers allows him to form a regenerative barrier between him and whatever is trying to hurt him. It allows him to cover a limb in a dense layer, or his entire body in a smaller layer.
When he disables his quirk, the layers quickly turn brittle and snap off of him in a striking golden glitter spray. Creating a dazzling display that could also be used to confuse or blind people… Or make for a fantastic photo-op!
Lastly, through significant effort he can also add layers of metal to whatever he is touching, whilst the main extent is to cover whatever he is wearing at any given time (to prevent awkward wardrobe malfunctions!), it could also be extended to staves or other items, which can then be used as weapons, barriers, or other usable items.
[b]QUIRK DRAWBACKS:[/b]
The first drawback that comes from his quirk is his current inability to fully layer himself to the fullest extent. Whilst he can fully envelop himself in his ‘fool’s gold’ (not to be confused with Pyrite), at such an extent the layers will be very shallow and brittle and quickly break under duress, it is also very energy intensive to maintain whilst slow to regenerate.
The second issue is the weight of the metal, whilst the density of it is very useful for defensive purposes, the more layers he creates the heavier he becomes, putting a strain on his body and making it harder to move around effectively.
He can switch between what parts of his body he covers, but the process isn’t perfect as the remaining layers have to become brittle and shatter, during this time his generative abilities are lowered and he’s more sluggish, he has to be very thoughtful whilst fighting as a result.
Finally, whilst he can currently layer things other than himself, it’s either/or. Whilst using his quirk on something or someone other than himself, he is unable to use it on himself during that time, leaving him physically vulnerable in the process.

Toshiro still put in a lot of effort to learn how to defend himself, and make it look good on top of that. As he was training for his hero license, he added on all that by furthering his lessons for self defense classes and hiring very good martial artists to half-ass teaching him how to fight an actual fight.
He would say himself that he is a pretty good hand in a fight, although, maybe the truth will be different.

Growing up shy, Genki is introverted at heart. Enjoys his studies and time to reflect on his own through mediation and practice, interested in expanding his understanding of himself and the world around him through poetry and philosophy. Holds value in seeing the world through a well defined scope rather than impulse and instinct. Even still, possibly from his prideful upbringing, has a tendency to be judgmental to those he finds brash and unkempt.

Genki is small in stature, lean and compact. Being a Reptilian Mutant, his skin is covered in small scales, his hands and feet armed with tough claws, a jagged set of teeth in his mouth, and a long prehensile tail. With mostly humanoid form, his face is similar to a normal human aside from the scales and color. Unlike a reptile, Genki has long black hair that is generally secured neatly against the back of his head in a topknot.
Growing up wearing more traditional garb, he would rarely be seen wearing modern street clothes, generally donning samue or montsuki. But after leaving his estate and venturing more into his own, he began to explore a more modern fashionable japanese street asthetic.

Genki is the youngest of the Tokage Clan, a Japanese house known for its rich history in martial arts and reptilian lineage. Upon the emergence of Quirks in the world, Genki's grandfather was the founder of his reptilian bloodline. Prior to Quirks, his clan was a noble family living in rural Japan, reclusive and secluded. As the world rapidly came undone with the rise of Quirks, Genki's grandfather and his new found Quirk, that in which gave him the powers of a powerful mythical dragon, took charge of his estate and protected his family and the surrounding land from misdoings and criminals. Once the world would come and settle, heroes began to become an actual profession, and Genki's grandfather earned his license and title, being a pillar of the Tokage Clan's new age. Training his son, Genki's father, in the way of the warrior, the clan continues its role as protectors of Japan even to this day.
Being the son of a renown Samurai Hero, Genki was thrown into the world of martial arts and related studies since his youth. His father was a heavy handed stern teacher, leaving Genki with a tough upbringing, leaving the weight of the entire future and past of their clan on his shoulders, pushing a boy his age past his limits for better or for worse. His Quirk was not as potent as his father's, in the same way that his father's was less grand than his father's, leaving Genki to be a disappointment to the clan early on. When his trainings in the blade and combat continually fell short, the relationship with his father became more and more distant, leaving Genki to pave his own path into a different set of skills, studying the art of the Shinobi. Honing the skills of stealth, throwing weapons, traps, etc. he found that these were closer to his talents and began to grow as a man and combatant. As Genki grew into his own, he lost the respect of his father more and more, ninjutsu and the like being seen as cowardly and underhanded to the stoic and noble swordsman.
Now moving out of his estate entirely, Genki has decided to explore life outside of his clan to find out what it meant to be a hero on his own terms, and what a university had to offer that his upbringing did not.

After running away from his past, Mel Sweets has 'unleashed' himself, in a way. Living for himself and only for himself, he does whatever feels good, say whatever feels right, buys whatever looks nice, eats whatever tastes right. This, usually, causes himself and no one else any problems however, from time to time, his desires will clash with the authorities, which causes problems: he wants to beat up a corpo-suit, the cops don't like it. He wants to rob a bank, cops don't like it!

[div]Not to say he's completely honest with others or himself. There are things that he is simply unwilling to tell anyone, mainly when it comes to topics that lie around his insecurities, whatever they may be - masculinity, 'silly' quirk, inability to fit in, so on and so forth. Not that he'd ever admit that he has them, not under normal circumstances, instead dismissing any attempt at prodding at them with jokes or teasing.[/div]
[div]His fun, though, is limited by his natural kindness. Chaos and Mischief are fun simply because they are fun and, of course, rebellious. Cruelty, though, is simply not fun and against everything he enjoys and stands for. Genuinely awful villains, bullshit heroes, abusive cops, hypocritical vigilantes - whatever true evil he sees he abhors, often lashing out against it with arguably excessive force.[/div]
[div]Worst or perhaps weirdest of all, his flirtatiousness is extended to just about anyone that isn't either cruel or an unworkable prude. Heroes, Villains, young and old. If he likes someone, he'll gladly flirt with them, occasionally even behaving differently as to earn that person's favor - like behaving a bit better for a hero or being a bit more chaotic for a villain. Of course, the limits are always hardwired: he'll never honestly consider bowing down to authority or partaking in any cruel action.

So.. begrudging, sure, but there he sat, handcuffed hands resting on his lap, chair slightly leaning backward but never moving from the spot, feet on the table - pointed right at the interrogator.

PLEASE.[/i][/b]" Exhausted and just about done with this shit, the detective reiterated the request for what must have been the 10th time this questioning. To think that it was actually part of a plea deal for a reduced sentence, in interest of 'a look into a criminal mind', that Sweets himself had agreed to. So what he could not understand was WHY WAS HE BEING SO DIFFICULT!?
Struggling to hide a smug little smirk, choosing to hide it with a fake and dainty cough that he covered with his handcuffed wrists, he'd lower them back down and sigh. Fun's fun, but he needed to do this interview. "[b][i][font color="#f12bc2"]Oh fine, just because I don't wanna see you bald before your fifties.~[/font][/i][/b]" Still had to slip in a sleight at the poor detective. "[b][i][font color="#f12bc2"]..Grew up in America but my parents still had the real thick accents of my grandparents, so they just spoke Japanese back home. ..So I got an accent too.[/font][/i][/b]" That'd explain his lack of accent when speaking Japanese, given his place of birth. "[i][b][font color="#f12bc2"]So imagine how fucking lame public school in America was when you have the most stereotypical Jap' accent in the world![/font][/b][/i]" A laugh escaped his lips which quickly trailed off into a resigned sigh.

Once again, he could swear he had caught the guard staring at him from the corner of his eye.
