The anchor landed with a heavy thud, shaking the ground under their feet as the trio took flight. It wasn't until they were in the air and could get a better view of the lagoon, and their surroundings at large, that they would see just how alone they were in this fight. Despite the raid starting out with formidable forces of villains, vigilantes and heroes to fight back against the Elementalist and his Nomu, none of their allies were present here. Were they the first through the tunnels? Or had something happened to the others that had gone on ahead?

''Heave-Ho, Heave-Ho!''

The ship Nomu's wooden body creaked as the chorus of disembodied voices could finally be pinpointed, it was coming from inside its hull. Although they had just taken flight and avoided its attack, the Nomu didn't pursue them. Even when Elias's string attack surrounded it, the Nomu continued to stare ahead. Wood chipped off from its main body, but it was clear that while the Nomu looked like it was mostly made of wood, it was much sturdier. Any of its limbs that got hit by stray attacks would start bleeding a purple liquid from the cuts it sustained.

Its body continued to creak as small openings appeared in the Nomu's body. They were just small holes at first, but small toy-sized cannons soon rolled up to the holes and took aim up at the trio of criminals. ''Kill! Kill! Kill!'' The chorus of voices cried out as they fired their tiny cannons. The cannonballs were equally tiny and because of it, traveled relatively slowly for the first couple of seconds. That is, until they seemed to leave the Shipwreck's sphere of influence, where they suddenly expanded up to a normal size and sped up as a result. With a few cannonballs now headed for the trio, their ability to defend themselves and avoid the incoming projectiles would be put to the test.

While the Nomu attempted to knock them out of the air, its body continued to creak as it finally moved to face its opponents. The underside of what would be its stomach then began to open like the drawbridge to a castle.

''AHOY!'' The Nomu exclaimed again, as the sound of footsteps began shuffling out from within the darkness of its body. Tiny zombie-like pirates then began walking onto the drawbridge before jumping off and onto the sand, growing to the size of a regular person as soon as they landed. ''Kill, Kill, Kill...'' They continued to murmur, one after the other. ''Heave-ho...'' Another chimed in, its voice hoarse.

To anyone who had worked closely alongside others during the first phase of this raid, they would soon realize that these zombie pirates were their allies. Caked in blood and skin graying, like they were slowly decaying with every passing minute, their soulless eyes stared back up at the trio blankly. Their bodies looked slack and weak, and yet somehow, the ones carrying flintlock pistols managed to take aim at Yusuke and pull the trigger to try and put him under more pressure to either land or drop his allies. The other pirates armed with swords, clubs and anything they could arm themselves with walked to the front and prepared to maim anyone who got in their way in order to protect the ship Nomu.

The Shipwreck

TL;DR:
- The anchor misses the trio
- Holes open up in the Nomu's ship body containing tiny cannons. It fires and the cannonballs grow into regular-sized cannonballs as it tries to take them out of the sky
- Zombie pirates who used to be your allies have fallen victim to the ship Nomu and emerge from its body
- More pirates with flintlock pistols fire at Yusuke while others with swords walk up front to try and protect the Nomu

Unlike the open area where the first clash of Takamagahara South had taken place, to advance, one needed to take the tunnels. A narrow and claustrophobic tunnel system led deeper into the belly of the beast, ranging from winding passages that could only fit one person at a time, to open caverns with leakage of green and purple acid dripping down from above. Although the journey deeper into Takamagahara was unpleasant there were much worse things lurking in the facility than a little bit of acid and small passages.

Eventually several of the tunnels pointed the same direction, growing so steep that turned into a slide that led out into another big, open area. Some kind of artificial lagoon had been constructed under the sea of acid. Although at a glance it looked very real, sand, pebbles, seashells and all. In the distance, the chorus of men could be heard chanting.

''Heave-ho! Heave-ho! Heave-ho!''

The voices were disembodied and hard to place at first. However, those who were keenly aware of their surroundings were able to spot a tiny speck on the other side of the glass growing bigger. As it approached their location it became clearer and clearer that it was an old, wooden pirate ship. As there was no opening in the glass windows, it seemed like the ship would have nowhere to go, but as it got close enough to the glass it submerged a little further, disappearing from view until it started reemerging inside in the middle of the lagoon of acid. Interestingly, although the ship looked like it was made of wood, there was no sign of wear and tear from the acid it had been diving around in. Perhaps more interestingly, normal ships also didn't grow limbs, but this one did.

A pair of tall, ghostly pale and lanky legs grew out of the bottom of the ship as it slowly rose up to its full 9 foot tall stature. Similarly lanky arms soon followed suit, spindly fingers with long sharp nails cracking and bending in unnatural ways as the thing slowly stretched its whole body out. The figurehead that rested on the front of the ship, its head dejected and eye sockets sunken and dark, suddenly lifted its head up blinking its red, glowing eyes awake as it looked at the three people that had gathered here. With a shaky lower jaw its whole body creaked as it looked like it tried desperately to say something while its cold hands reached for a long, thick metal chain that was hanging over the side of the ship body. With a yank, a heavy anchor dropped out onto the side, making the ground tremble next to it.

''Hah...'' The thing, the ship Nomu breathed. Spinning the chain around it started building up speed as it wound-up the anchor attached to its chain like it was wielding a giant flail. ''Hah-... Hah...'' It continued weakly, before it had fully warmed up its voice. Throwing its whole body into it, it swung the anchor at the two villains and the vigilante, trying to flatten them, shouting what it had been trying to say this entire time.

''AHOY!''

The Shipwreck

TL;DR:
- A tunnel network leads you into an artificial acid lagoon
- A huge Nomu resembling a wooden ship emerges from the acid pool in the center
- Growing long limbs, the Nomu grabs its anchor chain and uses it as a flail, trying to kill all three of you with one swing
- AHOY!
