Sora smiled a bit as his words managed to convince Emi to stop leaving, glad he hadn’t just shown up and ruined her training. That would have made him feel awful. He waited patiently as she considered her offer, and after a brief lull she agreed with his idea. His smile grew and Sora nodded, happy that he would get a chance to help her out, and hopefully make up for interrupting her. “Glad to hear it, Emi!” He said, looking around the clearing for ways he could demonstrate his abilities to her. The wind blew some leaves by his face, and it gave him an idea. Sora held up a hand to Emi. “Okay, I’ve got a way I can show you pretty easily. Would you mind standing back a bit, please?” He asked as he took a few steps away from her, so that he was in the middle of the small clearing. He took a calming breath to concentrate and steady himself, and as he did so a pair of antler-like blue horns emerged from beneath his messy black hair. He opened his eyes, looking over at the girl. ”My Quirk is called Wind Dragon. And as for what it lets me do…” he trailed off for a moment. Sora then pointed both hands at the ground, and suddenly the leaves around his feet were blown into the air and began to circle around the two of them overhead, forming a halo of foliage in the air. “My Quirk allows me to manipulate the wind. I can perform subtle, softer gestures like so;” he continued. In tandem with his explanation, some of the leaves flew down to Emi, swirling around her as the gentle breeze carried them. But the breeze didn’t even muss her clothes or hair, demonstrating his fine control as they left her alone. “… as well as more substantial maneuvers, such as this.” He noted. a heavy jostling of leaves and wood could be heard as the split remains of the tree Emi had been practicing on was lifted into the air by nothing but the wind at Sora’s control. It even spun the tree around in the air a couple of rotations, before he made a sharp, slicing motion with his hand. A blade of wind shot towards the tree, slicing through it and causing the cut part to fall to the ground, blown away from the two by Sora’s wind. Satisfied with his demonstration, Sora gently lowered the tree back to the ground, but out of the way so that they had space to work with. He smiled, turning to look at Emi again. “Is that sufficient to give you an idea of what I can do?” He asked in a pleasant, conversational tone. ”And if you don’t mind my asking, I’m curious about your Quirk as well.”Emilia Hall

Ishtar was skilled; Sora could tell that from her reaction to everything happening around her. Barriers went up, courtesy of her Quirk. One to sever the chain Gleipnir wrapped around her, one to defend her from the drone hurtling towards her, and one to shield her from the wind. It was an impressive defensive effort; one that was as imposing and impressive as it was informative. He now knew another function of her powers. And as Ishtar spoke, showing that she knew who he was, he could tell she was going to use the first aspect of her power that he had seen on him; the way she pointed at him instantly called to mind the police officer she had murdered just minutes ago. He couldn’t let himself be hit by that; suffice to say it wouldn’t be pretty. Fortunately, the officer’s demise had given him valuable information. His own movement likely wouldn’t be fast enough to avoid the shot on his own at this distance, but a powerful gust of wind he summoned, seemingly with just a thrust of his hand, sent him off to the side and out of the way; her use of such a narrow beam made it easier to avoid, though from what he’d seen of its effects he still didn’t want to risk getting too close to it. As he dodged he also swung a hand down in the direction of Gleipnir and Sonya; a powerful gust of wind came down from above, between the heroine and villainess in an effort to help Gleipnir avoid Ishtar’s attempted shield bash. Still, it was clear that she was enjoying the attention as she gave another grandiose declaration, acting as though she were some sort of inevitable force. Sora’s eyes narrowed behind his goggles at her display of arrogance; treating this whole thing like a performance or game. An acrid smell danced on the wind, though from where he wasn’t sure. Dericho considered what he knew of their opponent and the current situation. The drones that had been filming Ishtar flew away farther; perhaps to avoid being used as projectiles again? It was still a dangerous situation. Their target had hardly moved save for her wild gesticulating. Already he had a couple of ideas he could do to turn things in their favor, but it would be too risky with the other hero so close. For now he needed to get Ishtar more separated. If they could manage that… He stood back up, and the wind around Sora began to whip and twist as he held his hands up, forming a swirling circle around him. Loose debris scattered across the rooftop was picked up by the fearsome wind, from random dirt and trash, to pieces of scrap from the destroyed drone that had smashed into the woman’s shield. It was his own barrier, of sorts, but protecting himself was not the actual intent. She knew who he was, or at least had an idea of what his Quirk could do. But that didn’t mean that she knew everything. ”Don’t be so quick to celebrate.” Sora warned Ishtar, speaking for the first time since his arrival with his eyes trained on the woman. His tone was serious and matter-of-fact, but burning with determination. Sadako Gotoh Amano Ito Miroru Sonya Chernovna

Sora flinched a little at the girl’s shriek when he made himself known, startled and feeling bad for catching her off guard. He offered her a sympathetic smile as she admitted to being scared. ”Well, I’m sorry for frightening you in that case. I just didn’t want you to turn around and see me watching you. Feel like that would have been even worse, yeah?” He hoped she took it as a joke, since that’s how he intended it (though the reasoning was genuine). She introduced herself as Emilia Hall, a name that more or less confirmed that she wasn’t from Japan. She shook his hand, and even added in a bow afterwards. He chuckled a little bit. ”A pleasure to meet you as well, Miss Emi. I like your name.” The girl continued, noting that she should have expected an upperclassman to have such a spot. Well, he was her senpai at least, so she wasn’t too far off the mark. Still, as she turned to leave, promising to give him space to train, he shook his head. ”Ah, hold on! That won’t be necessary.” He assured her, jogging over so they could continue talking face to face. ”Let me explain a bit; see, I am a student at UAU. Or rather, I was a few years ago; I graduated a while back. Spent some time doing hero work with my sister’s agency in America, and I only recently got back to Japan.”Sora paused to give her time to process, and perhaps to ask questions if she had any. He smiled. ”As I said, I didn’t mean to interrupt your training. So don’t leave on my account; finder’s keepers, first come first serve, whichever of those sorts of expressions you prefer, heh.” His eyes fell to the split tree again, his curiosity flaring up again. He hadn’t seen many of the school’s current students yet, in action or otherwise. It was tempting to see if… actually… ”Oh, here’s an idea!” He said, clapping his hands together as an idea occurred to him. “Actually Emi, if you’re not opposed to the idea, would you be interested in a training partner? I won’t impose if you’d rather continue on your own. I also tended to keep a lot of my training to myself when I was at UAU, to tell you the truth. Especially for my first year or two. But if you’re willing to give it a shot I’d be happy to help! After all, there’s only so much that you can learn from striking a training dummy… er, tree, I suppose, in this case. Believe me.” He laughed a little bit at his own correction and awaited a response. ”If you like, I could give you a demonstration of my Quirk and you could decide from that? See if you think I could help you with anything you want to improve on.” Emilia Hall

Sora nodded to May’s assessment of her potential garden; while he was no gardener, he did enjoy flowers. If Spring were a bit cooler it might even be his favorite season just from how beautiful it could be when everything was in bloom. He chuckled in agreement as she noted dorks were endearing, and hummed quietly when she mentioned his “payment”. ”Well, I’m happy to share if you’re interested. Though I don’t know how good of a storyteller I am.” Sora told her as he glanced away, a bit embarrassed by the admission. He was tempted to ask her for some stories of her own, especially once she revealed that she was also attending UAU, but maybe that could wait until he done his part first. The sight of her awe as the petals danced around her brought a joyful smile to the young hero’s face; Sora didn’t necessarily like to show off, but ever since he started to gain more confidence he enjoyed demonstrating his Quirk to people. And a reaction like hers was just icing on the cake. May even complimented the display as she sat down, Sora sitting down beside her and holding his own cup of tea in his lap. She asked about his Quirk, and he nodded. ”Air control is pretty on the mark; my Quirk is called Wind Dragon. And yeah, as the name implied I can manipulate the wind. And I can do a lot more than just make the petals dance, heh. And I’ve been a pro hero for about three years now, though I only just recently returned to Japan. As for school, it was… quite the experience. Never a dull moment, that’s for sure! Though I wasn’t much of a troublemaker, if you can believe it.” He chuckled a bit at that; it was probably pretty obvious. He was pausing to take a sip of his tea when May suddenly said to hold on, and he watched curiously as she dug through her bag until she found… a camera? She pointed it towards them and held up her tea, urging him to join in. Sora was nervous at the prospect, not considering himself particularly photogenic. “A-a picture? I’m not so… sure…” he trailed off in in a worried tone. Still, it was just a picture, right? And her bright smile and excitement made it really hard for him to refuse. Sora took a breath to calm himself down, then nodded and looked at the camera. He glanced to his side at May to see how she was holding her tea, and he scooted just a touch closer to her to make sure he was properly in the frame. He held up his tea in such a way that he mirrored May’s own pose, managing a smile through his nerves. ”Is this okay?” He asked through his teeth, not wanting to break the pose until she either took the picture or told him to stop, though his blush had returned a bit once he noticed their relative proximity. Sora looked up as the little girl tugged on his sleeve and pointed at the ceiling, getting her message perfectly. Sora smiled at her and nodded, scooping her up in his arms. ”Don’t worry little miss, I’m gonna get you and your mommy both out real soon. Just hold on tight, okay?” He assured her, hugging her to his chest as he quickly exited the room and found the stairs. He bit his lip; while he wanted to bring the girl outside so she’d be safe, he didn’t know what kind of shape the next floor would be in and he didn’t want to risk something happening while he was outside. And there was no way he was just gonna send the girl down on her own with the building damaged like this. He heard Kazashi’s voice from outside, yelling to someone. Another person who had been trapped in the building, he wagered. Sora nodded and ran up the stairs as smoothly as he could, using his control over the wind to keep the smoke away from himself and the girl he was carrying. A burning beam fell in front of them just as they reached the top of the stairs, and Sora turned away from it to shield the girl in case the scattered embers managed to somehow piece his wind. He inhaled for a moment and then focused, sending a blade of wind forward that sliced the blockade, allowing them to pass. He spotted a window at the end of the hallway and, for the third time, shattered it so that he could send a rush of air through the floor to cool it down until the fires eased off. And as the crackling and sizzling died down, he could hear a coughing from nearby. That had to be the girl’s mother! ”Hang on, Ma’am! I’ve got your daughter and I’m coming to get you too!” He called out, the coughing stopping for a moment as the person heard him. Sora followed the sound as it picked back up again and kicked down another door, stepping inside. There was the woman, cornered in the room by more fallen debris. Her eyes teared up even more than the smoke had already made them as she saw her daughter in his arms. Sora looked around the room until he found the window, this one already broken. ”We’re getting you both out of here!” He promised as he continued to use his wind as he had been thus far. Once the debris was cool enough to touch Sora shifted the girl so that she was on his back, and lifted up a fallen beam so the mother could crawl out of the corner; he didn’t want to risk another wind blade if the upper floors were so structurally weak now. Once she was out Sora ran over to the window and looked down, seeing his fellow hero with the villain dealt with and seeing sirens in the distance. “I’ve got a mother and her daughter, Apparel!” Dericho reported. “Do you think you can catch them? I can slow their descent with my wind if it helps!”Kazashi McCoy

Sora turned his head towards the distinct crack he heard in the distance, arching an eyebrow curiously. The young hero was out for a bit of training; back in his time at UAU he would often head into the woods to practice with his Quirk in private. He had hated people watching him, always worried he would mess up and make a fool out of himself. Since he had decided to train today, he figured that he could pay a visit to his old little hideaway in the forest. Nowadays he still tended to train on his own, but rather than because of embarrassment or shyness it was more because the upper reaches of his Quirk had increased by leaps and bounds since his time as a student; if he wanted to push himself, it was best to do so where other people couldn’t get caught up in it. But from the sounds of things, he wasn’t alone out here like he had expected. Curiosity overtaking him, he decided to follow the sound to its source. On this day Sora was dressed more lightly than he usually would on a normal day; a plain black tanktop with a white and green jacket tied around his waist, a pair of comfortable jeans with obvious wear, and some rough but reliable tennis shoes. It wasn’t long before he found the source of all the noise (the search made easier by the sight of a tree splitting and falling over in the distance). Crossing the final gap he reached the spot, where he saw a young woman with long, sandy blonde hair tied in a side ponytail, training. Maybe a few years younger than him, breathing hard from the exertion she was putting into some training of her own. He could see her muttering something but was too far to hear. ”Hey there!” Sora called out, not wanting to just stand there watching her silently. If she turned to him he would give a small wave, smiling a bit. ”Sorry if I’m interrupting you. I was out here looking for a spot where I used to train and I heard some noise so I came to check it out.” He made his way over to the girl and the tree she had felled, taking a moment to look over the damage. He whistled, impressed by her strength (or at least he assumed it was strength; he hadn’t seen anything from his distant perspective that led him to believe she had done something more. At that moment he stood up, realizing that he had explained why he was there but hadn’t bothered to introduce himself. Sora rubbed the back of his head, embarrassed by his intrusion on her training. lAh, sorry. Forgot to introduce myself; I’m Sora Nakoma. Just Sora is fine.” He held out a hand, offering a handshake as he gave his name. Emilia Hall

Sora nodded as Yasashi asked about his father, taking note of the fact that his great grandfather had been the one to come up with their own family’s style. If he was a first year, that would put their martial arts a decent while before the advent of Quirks. He mentioned his mother perfecting the style, which more or less confirmed Sora’s suspicions that he had hero parents (or at least one); martial arts weren’t uncommon outside of heroism, but he felt like to “perfect” a fighting style meant it needed to see legitimate use. Yasashi’s age taken into account, perhaps his mother had been an early heroine not unlike his own. The boy seemed pleased with Sora’s words of encouragement, but the young pro did not miss what he absentmindedly said about his own power. Curious. He didn’t seem to even realize what he had said, though, instantly focusing on Sora’s offer to help him train. He was certainly eager, which was always a boon for training, and he asked what he should do to start with. Sora rested one elbow on his hand, reaching up to lightly scratch at one of the horns on his head as he considered how to proceed. The boy’s feelings about his Quirk would certainly need to be addressed, but for now they could focus on the training at hand; best not to force an issue. “Well for starters, I’m willing to bet you’re used to fighting, or at least training, against people smaller than yourself, am I right? I can’t imagine there are many your age with such a body type, are there?” He asked, wanting to get a general feel for the boy’s experience thus far. Sora inhaled slowly and lowered his stance a bit, one foot slightly in front of the other and his palms open as he held them in front of himself. “First I just want to see how you make your approach. Come at me however you’ve been trained to; slow, fast, whatever. This’ll be the best way for me to get a good grasp of where your abilities stand at the moment.” The name Yasashi had given for his family’s style gave him an idea of what to expect, but it was better to learn by doing. After saying this Sora gave him a reassuring, relaxed smile. “Don’t worry about hurting me or anything. And take your time; it won’t do either of us any good if you aren’t in the right mindset.” Taka Yasashi

So people showing interest in her eyes was a common thing, was it? Sora wondered if perhaps their unique appearance had to do with her Quirk, but figured it didn’t really matter. At the very least it seemed like she hadn’t been offended by his staring, which was a definite plus. May went on to note the current state of her garden, wondering about the possibility of making one at her school. So she was a university student! Bits and pieces slowly fall into place. ”I recall some of my classmates doing that sort of thing when I attended University, so I’d say it’s at least worth asking. Worst they can say is no, right?” He noticed the way her tattoo seemed to move, and that almost certainly was related to her power. Still, he’d stared at her one time too many already so he didn’t focus too much on it as she teased him. Sora laughed quietly, though the red of his cheeks did deepen a bit at her question. ”I try to approach everyone in such a way, if I can help it. Though I will admit, your so-called dorkiness does make it a bit easier to do so.”She commented about his remark of knightly behavior, and he shrugged. ”Eh, fair enough. Though I always feel there’s a thin line between chivalry and stubbornness, don’t you think? And thank you, by the way, for paying. I only hope my stories suffice as compensation.”She asked about the tea he ordered, admitting her distaste for super sweet beverages. He chuckled at her expression. ”It’s a bit sweeter than most, yes. Shincha tea is just a name for sencha tea made with the first leaves of a harvest; the freshest and most flavorful. It’s also savory and tart, so I think it balances out well. And the scent is nice and soothing; I’m told it’s like a rainforest, but I’ve never been to one so I can only guess if that’s true, heh.”Their tea was given to them, and Sora thanked both the lady at the counter, and May when she handed him his. She commented on the site he chose and he laughed. ”Oh, don’t worry about the foliage.” He assured her as they started on their way over. As they reached the tree Sora held up a hand, signaling her to stop. ”Actually, I’m a professional hero. Graduated from UAU about three years ago, but I spent my first couple of years after graduating in America working with my sister’s agency in New York.”Sora then took a break from speaking, turning his attention to the mess covering their would-be spot. As he stared at the foliage a pair of small blue horns emerged from the rough black sea that was his hair, and in the moment they surfaced May would feel the wind stir as it fell under Sora’s control, only to still immediately after. The grass beneath them began to rustle and sway as a targeted breeze swept under the leaves, sticks, dew, and petals on the ground. And after a moment, the objects were slowly lifted into the air, grouping together save for the petals. Sora smiled at May and took a sip of his tea, and then the petals drifted towards the girl as the wind carried them, first towards her feet. They circled her several times in a line as they slowly rose further up her body, but despite their close proximity May wouldn’t be able to feel the breeze, nor would even her lightest clothes so much as flutter; clearly Sora’s control over the wind was quite precise. After a moment of the petals circling in the air, he ended the little show by directing the sticks and leaves into a trash can over by the paved path, while the petals were scattered over the surface of the pond in front of them. Satisfied with his work Sora nodded, the horns on his head ducking down beneath his hair once again. He stepped over to the now clear spot and turned to face May, offering her an upturned hand to help her sit down without spilling her tea. ”I hope that this is more to your liking.” He said with a smile and a slight bow. Sora noticed the way May had averted her eyes after realizing he was staring, and he rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. Sorry, that’s a bad habit of mine.” He admitted, giving her an apologetic bow of his own head after she did so for bumping into him. He also heard the odd way she spoke, but didn’t comment on it. She checked her phone as she got a message, before noting her own preferred way to spend the holiday. ”Gardening does sound like a nice way to spend the day.” He agreed, looking up at the clear sky as he imagined it. He nodded when she noted how many people were walking around; finding a spot to sit definitely was seeming like the better plan. She surprised him with her offer to pay for his tea, in exchange for stories of his time spent in America. But after a moment he smiled, particularly when she gave her own name. How unique, he thought. “May, then. A lovely name; and quite appropriate for the occasion too, heh.” He nodded as she shook his hand, finding himself aware of her hands’ calloused feel, curious as to what she did to get her hands like that. At last it was their turn, and though he hadn’t yet agreed to her offer she went ahead and informed the woman to let him order what he wanted as she placed her own. He chuckled, both at her indecisiveness and at the dig at his messy hair (especially when she sent him the self-aware wink, which brought a faint dusting of red to his cheeks). He stepped up to the counter, looking at the menu in search of something he always enjoyed around this time of year. ”Well, what sort of knight would I be to deny a lady’s favor?” He noted, playing along a bit as he gave May a wink of his own, though the gesture felt a bit foreign to the young man. “Shincha tea, please. I love the sweetness, and the fact that it’s only ever really available during the Spring makes it that much more special.” He explained his reasoning to his new friend. Though he left off the reasoning that, since they were nearer to the end of Spring, the tea wasn’t quite as expensive as it would be early on in the season; he was appreciative for her offer, but he didn’t want to take advantage of it. As the woman took the pair’s order with a smile and got to work, he looked around and spotted a large tree by the pond that didn’t have anybody sitting under it; seemed as though some scattered leaves and petals had surrounded the base of the tree. He guessed no one wanted to put in the time to clear out the spot; a shame, since it was such a picturesque location. But with his Quirk, such a thing was no issue at all. ”Once we get our tea, how about we sit over there?” He asked May, pointing to the tree in question with a smile. May Twenty-First

The line was fortunately moving along at a decent pace, so it wouldn't be too long before he had his tea. But as he prepared to step forward as the next person got their order, he heard the sound of a little girl crying. Sora turned around, spotting the girl with her crushed flower on the ground being comforted by her mother and the girl who had been in line behind him. He watched with fascination as the young woman performed her little magic trick, presenting her with a new flower and cheering her up quickly. At this Sora smiled; it was a kind gesture. It would have been awful for the poor thing's day to be ruined so early into the festivities. As the mother and daughter left the girl stood back up and turned to get back in line, only to bump into Sora's back since she was distracted. She quickly gave an apology, and he turned to look at her as they moved on in the line. "No harm done, don't worry about it." He assured her with an easy smile, now taking a moment to get a good look at the kind girl. Her hair and eyes drew his attention the most; the brilliant pink of her head and how her eyes reminded him a bit of pearls or jewels with how they seemed to have multiple colors. Certainly she was more colorful than him. And taller too, he could see now that she was standing up again. Very pretty and cute. For his own clothes, Sora had gone with something a bit outside his usual choices. A simple black v-neck worn beneath a loose, lightweight green jacket. He wore a comfortable pair of boot-cut jeans and a pair of well-worn white sneakers. He hadn't put any more effort into his hair than usual, the black locks as messy and wild as ever, though he at least had gotten it out of his eyes so their pale green wasn't just peeking through like they normally did. His silver charm necklace, as always, finished off his outfit, hanging loosely around his neck. Sora realized after a moment that he had been staring at her eyes and lightly shook his head, refocusing. God, he wasn't that bad at socializing, was he? The young man glanced back at the retreating family, then back to the stranger before him as she asked if he was in line for tea as well. He nodded. "Ah, yeah. I was out of the country, over in America last year on Golden Week, so I figured I'd do something a little different this time around. Make up for lost time, you know?" He explained with a small chuckle. "Figured it'd be a nice way to start things off. Was trying to decide what to do next, actually. If I should find a spot to relax or just roam around."He took a short breath in, the scent of the tea growing stronger as they neared the front of the line. "I saw what you did for that little girl, by the way. It was very sweet of you. Would you mind if I paid for your tea?" He asked, approval for her actions clearly evident in his voice; he was the sort who thought good deeds should be rewarded, even if it was in such a small way. He held his hand out, offering to shake as his smile grew a touch wider. "My name is Sora, by the way. Sora Nakoma. It's a pleasure to meet you, Ms...?" He trailed off, hoping she would fill in the blank for him. May Twenty-First

Golden Week. A glorious time of year for many of Japan's people, the successive holidays offered both well-earned time off for the country's busy workforce and students, while also offering the perfect opportunity for her people to experience and revel in their proud culture and history. And when the weather was as perfect as it was this year, it was hard not to get excited at the festivities across Tokyo. Such activities were what brought Sora to Shibuya. While he had been able to return home for Golden Week for the first year he spent overseas in America, he unfortunately had missed the holidays last year due to a major investigation he had become involved in. And while he was happy to have helped and proud to have saved some lives in the process, the fact that he had missed a chance to return home for a time had admittedly left him rather blue at the time. As such, Sora intended to make up for his absence last year; the first two days, he had spent with his parents and sister, who had managed to make it home this year too. Catching up, eating out, it had been a pleasant couple of days that brought many nostalgic feelings for the young man. Today, on Greenery Day, Sora was on his own. Traditionally this was a day to spend out in nature; having picnics or communing with nature and the like. And while such things were certainly up Sora's alley, he decided that he would enjoy a more urban celebration of the holiday; after all, he was still reacquainting himself with Japan after two years away! And so here he was in Shibuya, where a fair was being held in Yoyogi park. All around him were people buzzing about, visiting stalls of food, treats, and local knickknacks. It was certainly livelier than the tea houses he had sometimes visited on the holiday in the past, but sometimes a change of pace was good! And in the spirit of the holiday, many of the shops and stalls around him were selling tea and had seating available beneath the trees and by the ponds. Yes, this was just what he needed. Smiling as he took in the wonderful sights and smells that filled the scenery, he decided to start off with something a bit more traditional and then ease himself into the rest of the festivities; a cozy stall nearby was selling tea and sweets. A perfect start to what he felt would be an amazing day! He got in line, waiting patiently as people ordered and scanning the surroundings as he tried to decide where he would enjoy his treat; maybe find a spot under one of the trees? Or just bring it with him as he wandered the fairgrounds? He was in no hurry to decide. Who knows what he might miss if he didn't bother to enjoy himself at his leisure? May Twenty-First

Sora nodded as Yasashi explained a little about the fighting style he practiced; particularly about how it was something his family used, and how he believed he had a long way to go. "I see. My fighting style is based on one my father came up with, though I've had to make adjustments as I developed my Quirk since ours aren't the same."Taka wasn't offering any more information about his style's origin, but thankfully Sora wasn't nosy enough to ask; it wasn't that uncommon for hero students to have hero parents, after all. He himself was one such case, so he just chalked it up to that and was content to leave the matter alone. It was then that the large youth admitted he was trying to put his own spin on the style, noting how he disliked hurting others. At this Sora put on a gentle smile. "A good quality for a hero to have;" He assured the student. "Being able to fight is one thing, but a hero doesn't go around trying to hurt others for no reason or disproportionately. We're meant to be peacekeepers, after all; and seeing the ones you trust go out of their way to brutalize criminals only create distance between civilians and heroes. At least, that's how I see it."So he was a first year? It was a bit surprising, given his size and build, but such physically gifted individuals weren't too rare at a place as prestigious as UAU. "I see." Sora said simply, scratching his chin thoughtfully. An idea occurred to him. "You say you wish to adjust your fighting style, yes? To be less harmful?"Sora stepped a few feet away and held his arms open, as if welcoming the boy. "If you would be interested, I think I could show you a thing or two. My style incorporates my Quirk, so you probably won't be able to incorporate a lot of how I do things. But my style is focused on restraint over actual combat; submissions, holds, trying to immobilize and neutralize without causing more harm than necessary."Taka Yasashi

Sora glanced over at Fuyuko as he gently picked up the injured girl, carrying her bridal-style and instructing her to hold onto him with her arms. He could tell that his former teacher didn’t exactly approve of the massive gap he made in the wall, but there was something of a method to his madness; while it was true that his attack had left a clear opening for their enemies, it also gave him ample ammo for the next little part of his contribution to the woman’s escape plan. Fuyuko directed his attention to a door leading to the next floor and he follows after her, looking back as the guards start to pour in. Sora concentrates, glad that his power didn’t actually require him to make any sort of motions with his hands; while such movements did help him focus a bit, they were actually more of a bluff than anything; an attempt to trick enemies into believing they could stop his powers by restraining him. But in actuality, all he needed was to think clearly. And as he did so now, a large twister formed at the far end of the room near the large hole he had blown in the wall. And thanks to the scattered debris left lying around from its destruction, the tornado sucked in numerous pieces of scrap metal, brick, tools, and weapons that had all been lying on the ground. It proved an effective barricade; even if he wanted to avoid a whirlwind big enough to actually suck up people, the “ammo” carried by the tornado was an efficient deterrent on its own, and while it wasn’t pulling them in it was certainly trying. Fuyuko explained the rest of her exit strategy, barely wasting any time as she continued and made her way to the open window. Sora nodded, ready to get going. “Alright, just leave it to me.” He assured her. The dorm mother immediately jumped down, and would find her descent gently slowed by a powerful but soft updraft the former student created. Once she was on the ground he nodded to the girl in his arms, silently instructing her to hold on tight as he followed after the older hero. He also landed without incident, used to such escapes with his powers. “Let’s get moving.” He suggested once he was sure everyone was there and ready to move. Fuyuko

Sora couldn’t help the small smile that took hold of his face when Yasashi jumped at his greeting, the sight of such a physically impressive person reacting so viscerally to a simple hello pretty amusing to the young hero. The boy returned his greeting once he got a sense of what was going on, introducing himself and accepting his handshake offer. Sora nodded and shook back. “The pleasure is mine.” He assured the hero in-training as they released each other’s hand. The name Taka was familiar to him, but he couldn’t quite place a face to the name at the moment. Yasashi said it wasn’t an issue for Sora to watch, and he crossed his arms as he thought. The blue horns hidden beneath his unruly hair emerged; it was something that happened often when he was thinking or concentrating. “Your form is interesting. Clearly practiced, but not any formal martial arts I’m familiar with. I assume it’s something of your own make, like my own? Or perhaps you were instructed in?” He asked, voicing his earlier observations. Dericho chuckled a bit. ”Sorry, just always interested in learning more when I see something unfamiliar or that catches my interest.”He paused for a moment. It was tempting to offer to spar with the young hero, but given how he was already interrupting his training Sora didn’t want to impose any more than he already was. ”How long have you been at UAU?” He decided to ask instead. Sora managed a small smile when Kazashi complimented his method of throwing the villain's aim off, offering her a thumbs up in response. She assured him that she could handle their flying arsonist, which relieved him; while he had no doubt that she could, the confidence she showed was quite inspiring. "Understood. And same to you if you need help, Apparel!" He returned the sentiment, nodding as he turned to run into the building. He glanced back as he entered, just in time to see the horned girl grappling with and taunting their opponent. As he ascended the building the smoke and flames grew thicker and denser. He let out a quiet breath to calm himself; Sora hated fire more than almost anything, after the role it played in his childhood. Just seeing the top floor of the structure burning from outside had made a flood of horrible memories come rushing back to him, but he shook them from his head; he became a hero because he didn't want people to have to go through this sort of thing. So that nobody lost what was important to them, if he could help it. And as cries rang out through the crackling flames, he was determined to be their hero. "Don't worry, the heroes are here to help! You're all gonna be fine!" Sora called out into the building as loud as he could. "Stay low and cover your mouths! I'm going to clear some of this smoke and fire as I make my way to you!"He waited a moment for the people to hopefully comply, and once he felt enough time had passed he aimed a powerful gust of wind at a large window nearby, shattering the glass and causing some of the smoke to leak out through the new hole. "And now to cool things down a bit." Sora thought to himself as he readied another rush of air, this time the wind continuing constantly for a long few seconds. Fire needed three things to persist; fuel, to burn. Oxygen, to breath. And heat. By releasing a continuous blast of air out of the building through the window, Sora could rapidly cool things down while clearing the hall of fire and smoke. Before too long the hall was relatively secure, providing him a path deeper in towards the voices. Sora tackled his way through a door, spotting a little girl curled up in the corner of the room crying. "Don't worry, little girl! Dericho is here to help! Just stay still for a minute and hold on!" He assured her in a confident tone. Sora created a spiral of wind in the room, a fair distance away from the girl. The tiny tornado sucked up much of the smoke in the room, before Sora broke a nearby window and repeated his earlier tactic of rapidly cooling the room. Once the path was clear he quickly made his way over to the little girl and knelt beside her, offering his hand. "It's okay, Little Miss! Do you think you can tell me where the others are? Me and my friend are gonna make sure you all get out of here safely." He spoke quickly but gently, wanting to comfort her and figure out his next move quickly. Kazashi McCoy
