Once more Ishtar's voice cut through the air after her drones were destroyed, a new wave of the machines emerging as she taunted her unknown assailant for their cowardice. The words did little to bother Sora; while it was true that it was important for heroes to inspire hope and joy through their presence, it was also true that their mission was one of protection first; despite his general good humor, Sora was pragmatic if nothing else. He wasn't going to squander the advantage his lack of notoriety provided until it was necessary. Unfortunately, it would seem that such a time would come sooner than later. As he approached the base of the he caught sight of the screen the White Queen was projecting herself onto; a young woman was confronting her, and Ishtar recognized and named her as the counselor at UAU. Gleipnir was down on her knees in front of the villainess, and even at his current distance Sora could feel his blood run cold at her threatening words. He had felt such a sensation a number of times before, with two in particular standing out. The first was his clash with Don Blood back in America, when he first saw what the vampiric crime lord had been capable of. But the second was of his youth; even now, so many years later, the cold of the witch above him burned away as he recalled the fire that engulfed his childhood home. The fire that had almost killed him and his sister, and had separated him from his friend Shinokame. Sora reached up to his neck and felt the familiar silver charms, tucked beneath his shirt. Their presence gave him some peace of mind... this wasn't the time to freeze or hesitate. It was the time for action. A ladder to the roof was beside Sora, and he got an idea. The hero known as Dericho turned to look at the screen Ishtar was presenting her little show on, giving him a clear view of her position on the roof as she approached the kneeling heroine. The drone was far enough away that he could see a majority of the roof from its perspective, so his eyes rapidly scanned the screen until... there! He spotted the top of the very ladder he stood at, and that told him a general idea of where the recording drone was. Sora quietly climbed up the ladder as he concentrated, his mind racing as he visualized where the drone was. He would need to be quick about this, as he readied himself for a tricky maneuver... MusicNow! Another blast of wind ripped through the sky, but this one was less precise, more powerful. Before, he had the drones in his view and could pinpoint how to knock them out of the air. But since he was just basing this off of the video feed, he needed a little leeway; the wind was powerful enough to knock the filming drone down, but angled in the direction of its master; the machine hurtling towards Ishtar at high speeds. Simultaneously Dericho summoned a powerful wind beneath himself, using the ladder to spring himself upward while taking advantage of the gust to carry him up to the top of the building. As soon as he was high enough he aimed to land on the roof itself, an equal distance between Sadako and Ishtar but off to the side. And as he landed, grimacing at the pain but dealing with it, a wave of wind spread out from him; in her kneeling state the heroine should be able to hold her position against the gale decently enough, but hopefully it would knock the White Queen (and the enemy he did not know of yet) off balance. He stood up, legs hurting from the rough entry but otherwise uninjured. The horned young man's eyes shifted from Ishtar and back to Gleipnir, not wanting to take his attention off of either the enemy or his fellow hero. He didn't say a word yet; words were distracting, and he needed to focus. This was just getting started. Sadako GotohAmano ItoSonya Chernovna

Sora smiled as he stopped to take in the cool evening air, the sensation of it flowing through his body almost therapeutic. He was finally starting to get settled back into living in Japan after his couple of years away, but it was still a bit overwhelming in the city. While he had admittedly been in New York during his time in America, which wasn't much calmer, he had never really noticed how crazy things could be until he had been gone for a while. But today he was out in the wilderness, well away from the lights and sounds of the city. And not just for a late night hike, either; Sora had heard while he was out for lunch earlier that there would be a big meteor shower tonight. It had been forever since he had last witnessed such a natural splendor for himself; as far as he could recall, the last time he saw a meteor shower was when he was little with his parents and sister. Such a visual phenomenon was certainly a must-see for the young hero, but in a place as bright and busy as Tokyo it would likely be next to impossible to see any of it. Hence his venture out into the mountain, where he was sure that he could have a first-class seat for the whole show. It wouldn't be too long, now; maybe an hour or so at most. He was heading toward a clearing that he knew of from those childhood trips, with a brand new telescope he had purchased after hearing about the meteor shower. It was quite the piece of gear; he wasn't the most knowledgeable about actual celestial bodies, but he could pick out constellations and specific stars at the very least, so he was going to enjoy more than just the shooting stars. Though as he approached the clearing he had in mind, he would discover that he wasn't as alone as he had been expecting. Yasuragi Yoru

To say that it had been chaos across Tokyo this day would have been the understatement of a lifetime. The minute the message had gone out, the fragile chain that locked the gate to Hell had been removed. At first, it hadn't been too strange; a bit more criminal activity than usual, but such a thing could easily be dismissed as just a random coincidence. But the crimes continued. More. And better armed; in a country like Japan, it should not be so easy for such a large number of criminals to get their hands on weaponry. Especially not on the same day. Guns. Explosives. Unusually coordinated attacks from gangs infamous for their chaotic methods of operating. No, something was definitely up; that much was clear, and it became more clear the longer the day proceeded. Especially considering a certain unifying factor with many of the criminals Sora had fought, seen, or heard the reports of. Needless to say, Sora had been busy, just as every other hero on the job today. He had come across a number of thugs and gangs looking to take advantage of the chaos, and whatever was supplying it, thankfully managing to subdue them with little to no casualties, though how cleanly things ended varied. But he was just one man; all of them were. It was like the floodgates had been opened to a massive dam. And as a voice echoed across the city, carried with the aid of drones dispatched seemingly everywhere at once, the one who opened those floodgates seemed to have taken the stage. And almost literally, judging by her theatrical tone and encouragement of the countless roaches scurrying about the broken streets of Shibuya. There she was; the woman identifying herself as the White Queen. The villains cheered for her, only affirming her as the center of this madness as she shot a police officer who had dared to throw fruit on her stage. The sight brought rage to the horned hero's heart, but he restrained himself; now was not the time to be swayed by emotion. Fortunately, Sora had managed to avoid much attention thus far; he was still a relative unknown on the hero scene, his powers were difficult to make out by the inexperienced, and a majority of those he'd tangled with today were small-time; he hadn't needed to go anywhere near all out yet. Which was good; because he didn't expect to have such a luxury this time. He looked up in the sky at the numerous drones flitting about; like locusts over a field of crops they swarmed, carrying the self-proclaimed Queen's words and will. And he decided to make his first move; with but a thought Sora commanded the winds themselves, sending harsh gusts from every direction at any drone he could see. The wind would knock into the machines, sending them spinning out of control into buildings or outright knocking them to the grounds, some even landing on the villains gathered around the crossing. "Sorry, Your Majesty," Sora thought to himself, not one to blow a chance at an advantage by shouting his challenge like a madman. "But all the soldiers in the world won't make that tin crown turn gold."Sonya Chernovna

Sora can't help but marvel at the strange yet familiar sights and sounds around him as he wanders the realm of the Star Wars convention, his steps slow and his eyes active to insure that he didn't miss a single detail of his surroundings. The young pro hero had always been a massive fan of the franchise, ever since he was little and introduced to it by his sister, but with how busy he was growing up due to his dedication to training and schoolwork, he had never gotten the opportunity to visit such a venue before. Until now. Sora had even opted for a little bit of cosplay, though his was no match for that of the numerous around him who made costumes and effects as their main hobby or even career. No, all he had was a simple yet well-made replica of a typical Jedi's robe, complete with the long brown coats that had always caught his eye as a child and even an old keepsake of his; a simple plastic lightsaber he'd been gifted as a child, with a brand new bulb fit in, so that when the "blade" extended it would glow with a steady green color. It was a toy like any other, the only thing distinguishing it from others being the clear wear and fading on it due to its age. He had even gone so far as to braid his hair in the style of the franchise's Padawans. He had no real plans as he wandered the grounds, only really wanting to take in the spectacle of the whole thing. Though now that he was here, he supposed it would be cool to get some starship models or the like; something he could do to unwind when he was done with work for the day. There were certainly plenty to go around. It seemed like every corner he turned there was another stall peddling fan-made art, old official merchandise, toys, music, anything a Star Wars fan could dream of! In fact, the sights around Sora were so surreal that he was beginning to get turned around. At the moment he had been on his way to an auction he heard was going on; he had no real plans to purchase anything, but seeing what was up to offer was plenty of excitement on its own. He spotted a person wearing a hoodie not far from him, her back turned to the young man, and he noticed they walked with a sense of purpose. Maybe they could help him out? Sora approached the figure. "Excuse me, Miss?" He spoke up, having to speak a bit louder than usual over the din of the busy crowd. "Sorry to bother you, but I was wondering if you could help me; see, I wanted to go and watch the merchandise auction but I'm a little... well, a lot lost. Never been to a convention before, so it's all kind of overwhelming, heh."Fuyuko

Sora kept his eye on Fuyuko just in case his former teacher might need some help, but fortunately she handled the criminals who came after her with little effort. She noted that she wasn’t sure how many enemies were left to deal with, opting instead to form a stretcher with her nanobots and instructing him to load up the hostages. He quickly got to work during the brief lull before the next group of thugs showed up, helping them over to the platform as quickly as he could manage without stressing them out. Eventually everyone was onboard the stretcher except for two. The older pro thought for a moment before turning to her former student, asking him about his strength. Her meaning was pretty clear, and Sora nodded. “Strong enough. Once we’ve got a break in these enemies, we can head out.” He assured her, confident in both his physical strength and his ability to create such an opening. “Leave the gap to me; just keep an eye on everyone and let me know which person to grab afterwards.”Sora concentrated on the wind as he readied himself to do so, able to hear the shouting and stomping as the villains made their way to the entrance. He could see their shadows before the people themselves, and as soon as he saw that first body block the light streaming in from inside, he got to work. He thrust his hands forward, and at his command a tremendous blast of wind shot from the young hero, barreling across the warehouse and towards the door. The wind stopped the thugs in their tracks, though they tried to oppose the gale, only to find themselves thrown back several meters away. And shortly after they would hear the heavy groaning of stressed metal as the devastating wind broke off the doors of the building… and then punched a hole through the front of the building itself, scattering bricks and metal in the process. Sora waited a moment after his work was done, to see if anybody else was coming. When nobody did he nodded and turned to Fuyuko and the hostages. “We should be clear for the moment. Who needs help?” He asked as he walked over, kneeling down between the two not on the stretcher. He’d grab whoever Fuyuko told him to, and follow her lead. Fuyuko

The old UAU training grounds. It had been literal years since Sora last walked on the familiar grass, just as immaculately maintained as ever. He had just wrapped up a discussion with a couple of the teachers, regarding some students that he and his own former teacher Fuyuko had recently saved from a gang of drug dealers. Since it had been a while, he asked if it was okay for him to take a walk around for a bit for nostalgia's stake. And so, here we are. With a gentle breath he took in the clean air of the early afternoon, enjoying the peacefulness. Normally the training grounds were abuzz with shouting, yelling, and whatever miscellaneous sounds were created by the Quirks of the students occupying it. But right now it was pretty quiet... except, he realized, the sounds of heavy steps and grunting. Curiosity getting the better of him, Sora decided to follow the noise, walking towards it with his hands in his pockets. It wouldn't take long before the source of the grunting came into view; he was a rather large fellow, after all. Doing some martial arts training, from the look of things. It wasn't any form Sora was familiar with, but then again he wasn't exactly a master of hand-to-hand combat himself. Even his own fighting style was simply one of his own design created through trial and error. Maybe this guy's was the same sort of deal? Then again, the motions of the giant student were more rigid and structured than his own exercises; there was a uniformity to them that told Sora they were taught by someone else, rather than experience itself. Without even really thinking about it he approached the stranger, coming to stand behind him. "Excuse me?" Sora greeted in a casual tone, tilting his head slightly to look up at the younger man once he turned around. The height difference was even more noticeable up close, but Sora knew bigger and less human-looking people. "Hi, sorry to interrupt." He said in an apologetic tone, holding out a hand to shake if Yasashi wanted. "Name's Sora, Sora Nakoma. I'm a former student here. Was just revisiting the old training grounds when I saw you. Thought it'd be weirder to just sit back and watch so I figured I'd say hi." Taka Yasashi

Sora shrugged as Kazashi mentioned that maybe people would have reason to talk about him before too long; he was flattered and appreciative of the sentiment, but as far as he was concerned his role hadn't been that impressive beyond helping to track the criminals down. Still, the idea that he might have inspired one of the girls he helped save turn to hero training was one that brought a fond smile to his face. Kazashi went on to share her own happenings in their time apart, reminding him of her villainous father and talking about how he had been defeated and captured. So she was looking for her siblings? He imagined what it would be like if Aella had gone missing; the two of them may not have been blood-related, but she was his sister all the same; if she had gone missing he was sure he wouldn't stop until she was found. "I see... Well, if you ever find any leads on the Kaneko kids and want some help, feel free to invite me! It'd be my pleasure to... hold on. You smell that?" He trailed off as a bitter scent hit his nostrils. The two reached the corner just as an explosion went off in a nearby building, where a villain was flying and waving some sort of electrical gun around. The criminal took aim at a civilian, but fortunately Kazashi was able to intercept the attack by transforming into a boot to insulate the electricity. She had called him to action, and he was all too ready as his companion stood protectively over the citizen. The villain seemed amused, or perhaps even angry at their presence; C-List heroes, huh? Is that how he saw them? Well, it wasn't too far off the mark for Sora, he thought, given how recently he had returned to Japan. But he really doubted such a term fit Kazashi. Soon the gun was pointed towards Sora himself as the man continued his taunting drivel, noting that he didn't even recognize the young hero as he prepared to fire off a shot. Fortunately, though the gun's shots were fast as lightning, the wielder was decidedly not; as he steadied his aim Sora had ample time to figure out a counter attack. Just as the villain pulled the trigger, a powerful gust of wind seemed to blow upwards from beneath him, throwing his aim skyward and sending the electricity harmlessly into the clouds. "W-what the hell?!" He demanded as he tried to right his position in the air. The eyes of several nearby civilians, hiding where they could from the madman above, fell to the unfamiliar hero. Sora looked back at the villain, and after a moment a pair of blue horns emerged from beneath his messy black hair. "Dericho." Sora introduced himself, since the man didn't know who he was. He held a hand up, above his head. "Wind Dragon Dericho." Suddenly another blast of wind struck at the villain, only this time it came from above and behind, smashing against his jetpack and sending him spiraling towards the wall of the building he had attacked. Before he could hit it a heavy gust blew him towards the ground. Sora concentrated, and the wind around him swirled as several objects were picked up by the invisible force and launched towards the villain, starting with a nearby metal trash can. Sora looked over at Kazashi. "Apparel, do you think you can deal with this guy? I'd like to go up and put out that fire and check for people, but if you can manage that I'll handle him." He asked, glancing up at the burning top floor but not wanting to leave while the villain wasn't subdued yet; he could have pretty easily knocked him out already, but he didn't want to go too hard when there were still so many people around who were in danger. Kazashi McCoy

Sora's eyes fell on the escaping vehicle as soon as it came into view, and he noticed a figure flying behind the vehicle as well. A hero already in pursuit, perhaps? They certainly didn't seem to be a member of the trio in the car; the outfit was enough to set her apart from the criminals. Well, he was happy to lend a hand in stopping these three. Fortunately the streets were empty, everyone either on the sidewalks or tucked away in the alleys as they watched the two approaching shapes and the man in the road. The recently returned hero took notice of the fact that the driver seemed indecisive; they couldn't seem to decide whether to drive around him on the left side or the right. That alone told Sora that these people weren't just out for random acts of violence; if they were then they likely would have just barreled straight through him without a second thought... or tried to, at least. One of the men in the car shouted out at him to move, even firing off a handgun in the process. The bullet stopped well short of Sora; between that and his plea to move, it seemed to reinforce that they weren't just out for blood. Good; the world could do with less needless violence. Still, regardless of what they actually were up to, that didn't change the fact that they were endangering lives right now. And Sora couldn't have that; from beneath his black hair sprouted a pair of blue horns, and the moment they did he could feel a shift in the air as his Quirk took effect as he took stock of his surroundings. "I'm afraid not, y'all." Sora called back to the man who had shouted for him to move, holding a hand out to either side. It looked as though he was just gesturing for them to stop, but that was not the case. Instead, Sora swung his arms in front of him, towards the ground. A powerful gale shot towards the car, seemingly from out of nowhere. But rather than simply smash into the vehicle, it seemed to... slip under it? The driver froze for a moment, looking down and stomping on the gas pedal. He wasn't getting any closer to the stranger blocking their way; it was like they were stuck. "H-hey guys, something's up with the car!" He called out. The man with the gun, from his position outside the window, shook his head slowly. "It's not the car, idiot!" He corrected the man, his eyes still wide from the realization. "This bastard 'ere's picked us up!" Just as he said, Sora had swept the car into the air with a precisely maintained current of wind; the car's wheels were spinning but it was futile; after all, they weren't in contact with the ground. Sora was pleased with his decision-making; he had any number of ways he could have stopped the vehicle; a simple gust of wind, slashing the tires, creating some sort of barricade with stuff around him, etc. But this was by far the least risky way of immobilizing the villains without getting civilians caught up as collateral. "Who the hell are ya?!" Demanded the gunner, leveling the gun right at Sora this time. Sora maintained a neutral expression, already having a plan in mind for if the man DID shoot at him directly. "You can just call me Dericho; the Wind Dragon. And I'm placing you all under arrest. If you'll come quietly, I promise no harm will come to you."The man in the back seat growled at the man, seeing his request as a sign of cockiness. "Like hell! I didn't get these stimulants just to rot in jail!" He declared, punching the air with his fist. Sora's eyes widened as he saw a shockwave of some sort rip through the air, but he regained his composure quickly. This time he thrust his hand forward, and a vicious wind roared as it met the shockwave head-on, the force of it enough to dissipate the force. Sora frowned. "Quirk stimulants, huh?" He noted, having heard the man clearly. He crossed his arms, and the wind around Sora began to whip and twist fiercely. "Then I'm afraid I have some questions for you to answer... after I've brought you lot in."He never took his eyes off of the trio, but was curious as to how the person who had been pursuing then would get involved. Sora kept his eye on the entrance in anticipation of the inevitable retaliation from the kidnappers, only to hear Fuyuko give him a report on the status of girl they were there to rescue. His eyes narrowed at the revelation of her cut tendon, his hands gripping into tight fists as the very wind around him began to swirl. It was then that the criminals forced their way in, thankfully slowed by Fuyuko's Quirk as she noted the need to subdue the enemies. A trio of the men entered and stood across from him, one pointing a gun at Sora, one emitting flames from his hands, and the third growing in size and turning into stone. Sora was unbothered by their threats, his eyes meeting theirs with a fierce glare. It was then that a pair of blue horns emerged from beneath Sora's messy black hair. The crook with the gun couldn't help but laugh, clearly unimpressed by what he assumed was the extent of the invader's Quirk. But he had no idea just how out of his league he was. "Why don't you and your friend there just get out of here so we can finish our business? You really think the two of you can put all of us down?" Sneered the man with a gun, the flame wielder laughing in agreement. Sora inhaled deeply, calming himself before releasing the tight grip of his hands. He raised one hand up, palm facing the gunman. "I will only say this once; surrender now, and this won't need to get any more violent." He encouraged the men, swallowing his anger out of a desire to resolve things relatively peacefully; he didn't want to drag things on for the sake of their prisoner's health. The trio only laughed at his demand, and suddenly the man of stone charged towards him with all the grace of a stampeding rhino. For most, a massive rock man would cut an imposing figure. But he was still just a thug in way over his head. Sora turned his palm towards the approaching man, and then performed a simple sweep with his arm. Suddenly a tremendous blast of wind rushed through the building, powerful enough to knock even the heavy criminal off his feet and into the air. "What the he-?!" Was all the gunman could manage before the wind carried the rock man into him, smashing him against the wall and knocking both men out with the impact. The flame wielder gaped at the display of the unfamiliar hero's power, but clearly he was convinced there was no choice but to fight. He shouted out fiercely as he held both hands forward, shooting twin blasts of fire towards Sora. But he maintained his calm demeanor and stepped closer, the wind rushing against the flames and twisting until the fire was harmlessly dispersed. Panicking he began to launch fireballs one after another, but every time found his effort blocked by powerful gusts of wind as Sora approached faster and faster, until he reached the man and grabbed him by the wrists. "I warned you." Sora reminded him, sweeping the man's leg out from under him and knocking him to the ground with a blast of wind from above. The thug tried to stand up, but the impact against the floor and the effort he had exerted had exhausted him too much to continue. Sora turned back to Fuyuko and the injured student. "Any idea how many more there are?" He asked his former teacher, not wanting to waste any time in getting the girl treated. Fuyuko

Sora can be a bit of a contradiction at times, like anybody else. While quite friendly and polite once he gets to know you, and always happy to lend a hand, he’s more introverted than one might expect such a person to be. This is owed largely to his time spent training to become a hero, which encompassed much of his free time. He carries himself with a comfortably solemn air, his face usually neutral or in a small, easy smile. This has made many people nervous about approaching him, but in reality he is quite sociable. Those willing to approach will find an altruistic and loyal friend who will gladly listen to problems and grievances, though he is admittedly loathe to talk about his own. To Sora, heroism is more than a simple job of peace-keeping; it is a responsibility to use what powers and talents one has to ensure not only the safety, but also the peace of mind of those around you. He prefers to see the world’s glass as half full, and is always eager to pour in some more when the opportunity presents itself. Despite this, however, Sora does have a severe side. He can be bitingly sarcastic when irritated, and he tolerates pessimism poorly. He also is ruthlessly pragmatic when possible, preferring to end issues both mundane and heroic in as efficient and quick a manner as possible. For those with no mercy, he has none to spare. Related to this, Sora’s odd mixture of altruism and pragmatism blend together to form a silent support of Vigilantism; he is well aware of how the laws can often obstruct justice from being carried out, thanks to his own life experiences, and so he sees Vigilantes as a valuable part of society, though he keeps this way of thinking to himself. But while he may turn a blind eye or omit a vigilante’s involvement in a matter, he has his limits; the line between justice and convenience is thin, in his own opinion. [attr="class","body"] [attr="class","header2"]APPEARANCE » HEIGHT: 5’10” » WEIGHT: 183 lbs » EYE COLOR: Pale green » HAIR COLOR: Black » SKIN COLOR: Pale » FACE CLAIM NAME: Dan Heng » FACE CLAIM SERIES: Honkai Star Rails Sora possesses a thin but muscular build, akin to a swimmer or runner, though it is typically hard to tell due to his preference for loose-fitting, baggy clothes that cover most of his pale skin. His pale eyes tend to seem rather tired, but sharp. It’s rare for him to put any effort into styling his black hair, since with his wind powers he often feels like it would be pointless to bother with such effort. Sora’s ears are noticeably pointed at the ends, and beneath his black hair lies a pair of short, blue, antler-like horns that are retractable, with him typically extending them while using his Quirk, on hero duty, or just subconsciously while thinking sometimes. Sora is known to wear a bit of makeup, having picked up the skill thanks to a little girl he befriended in America. His nails tend to be colored a seafoam green, and when on hero work he’ll also use red eyeliner beneath his eye. [attr="class","body"] [attr="class","header2"]HISTORY Born and raised in Tokyo, Sora is the son of a famous top heroine, Sonia Boom, and a well known but retired support item specialist, Kendrick. He also has an adopted older sister, Aella, who also went into work as a hero. So it was no surprise that Sora, like many children, dreamed of being a hero himself as a boy. To this end he trained with his family constantly whenever not in school, pushing the limits of his Quirk whenever possible. He had but one constant friend; a girl named Shinokame, who also dreamed of being a hero and would train with him. When Sora was 12, a fire broke out in the antique shop his father runs. It was an attempt at vengeance by a villain Sora’s mother had repeatedly tangled with. Sora was able to save his sister, the two of them having been put in charge for the day while their parents went out, using his Quirk to clear enough of the smoke for them to escape, though he was hospitalized for a time due to overexerting his Quirk. But Shinokame, who had been helping out, had disappeared in the fire. Once discharged Sora resumed his training, redoubling his efforts. He had learned in the hospital that the villain who set the fire had gotten off without punishment due to holding a powerful legal position. Sora wanted to bring the man to justice, but his parents and sister were fortunately able to instill in him a disdain for vengeance. Sora attended UA University once he was old enough, just as his parents and sister did. It was during this time, after acquiring his provisional hero license, that Sora discovered that Shinokame had become a vigilante. And what’s more, she had killed the villain who almost killed he and his sister. The revelation gave Sora mixed feelings, as he was glad that the man had finally got what was coming to him and that his friend was alive. But he was also sad for her chosen path. His sadness worsened later, when he learned on the day that he graduated that his friend had been killed in a battle against a villain. Afterwards, Sora felt despondent. He was physically ready to begin his hero work, but mentally unprepared. Confiding in his family, the decision was made that he would travel to America, home of his father and where his sister had moved to open her own hero agency. He would work with her, learning the ropes of professional heroism and facing his issues over time. During his time in America, Sora grew both as a hero and as a person, facing many powerful enemies and discovering the true nature of his Quirk; what he assumed was simply powerful breathing was actually the ability to manipulate the wind itself. He defeated Don Blood, a crime lord feared throughout New York, as well as playing an integral role in locating and taking down the Circus of Man, an organization that used people with Mutation quirks as attractions in an underground circus for the top dogs of the criminal world. Now several years later, Sora returns to Japan, following a lead on the Circus of Man’s connections in his home of Tokyo and eager to snuff out the organization for good. He aims to move on, and to put his learning into practice in memory of his friend. Though his reputation in America wouldn’t fully follow him back home, he still plans on blowing everyone away. A necklace decorated with small silver charms, each referencing an important person in his life (a turtle for Shinokame, a helmet based after his mother’s hero helmet, a recreation of his father’s support item brand, and a zipper pull for his sister). ASIA (Atmosphere Status Indicating Apparatus) serves the dual purpose of protecting his eyes from any debris stirred up by battle or his wind, as well as monitoring the environment around him. Specifically it keeps track of precisely how strong the winds he’s emitting are so he can better make fine adjustments to his output and input, as well as detecting harmful substances in the air that he can disperse with his Quirk. At C rank, ASIA can detect more typical air pollution, such as flammable gases or airborne toxins. Ideally, future upgrades would allow for ASIA to recognize airborne Quirks used against Sora in the past, allowing him to better respond to such threats. ASIA was developed by Sora alongside an American tech-focused hero known as Wire that Sora worked with. The goggles are equipped with an artificial intelligence who responds to the name Asia, who Sora can speak to in order to access information. Combat-wise she only knows what the goggles themselves do, but bouncing his thoughts off of someone helps Sora think and strategize, and she has become a dear companion to the young hero. [attr="class","body"] [attr="class","header2"]QUIRK QUIRK NAME: Wind Dragon QUIRK RANK: S QUIRK TYPE: Mutation/Emitter QUIRK DESCRIPTION:Sora’s Quirk is the source of his distinctive horns, but more importantly it is also the source of his ability to manipulate the air and wind around him. With his power, Sora is able to direct, shape, and control the wind on both a fine and grand scale; he can create breezes gentle enough to tickle one’s cheek, but also whip up fearsome gales more than powerful enough to uproot and lift or even smash through large buildings. Though the exact upper limit of his wind speed is unknown, Sora is capable of winds beyond what has been recorded in nature. With this fine control and power, Sora can manipulate the wind to the point where it can cut like a blade or cushion a person’s landing. Sora can also use his control over air to pull scents into his nose from great distances, giving him a powerful sense of smell (this is just a flavor explanation for his Awareness stat). QUIRK DRAWBACKS:Sora’s power is extremely versatile and strong, but not without weaknesses and dangers. For starters, though he may be able to lift and throw around heavy objects with his wind, he is not immune to the things his power has put into motion; a lapse in concentration or a clever opponent could turn the objects suspended by his wind into dangerous projectiles. Furthermore, Sora requires great concentration for more complex maneuvers and techniques; a simple rush of wind is something he can do almost subconsciously, but something like using his wind by swirling it into a tornado require conscious effort and attention to avoid losing control. As such, while engaging in such difficult techniques he is limited to much simpler attacks while maintaining them. Finally, Sora can only use his power in open spaces; he could not, for example, use his Quirk while underwater, or if trapped in a tiny space. Similarly, Sora’s horns act somewhat like control towers for his Quirk; a hard strike to them (or worse, breaking them) would severely weaken and/or interrupt his power until he can recover. Were his horns to fully break off, he would need to wait until another thread for them to regrow. Also, Sora’s strong sense of smell can be made to work against him; powerful smells are quite hard on him, especially when unexpected. [attr="class","body"] [attr="class","header2"]SKILLS SKILL NAME: Way of the Wind SKILL RANK: C+ SKILL DESCRIPTION: A unique fighting style developed by Sora in his school days, honed through his hero work. This fighting style takes advantage of his Quirk’s ability to push and pull opponents, being focused around keeping his enemies off balance to leave them vulnerable by using his wind alongside his martial arts. While Sora can hit deceptively hard, especially with clever use of his Quirk, the style is more focused on grapples, submission, and restraint than outright striking the enemy. Sora watched intently as Fuyuko declared her intent to scout out the old building before they came up with a plan of attack, summoning three of the familiars her Quirk gave her access to. It had been years since last he saw her use her power, back when he was still one of the students living in the dorms she was in charge of; the sight of the specters as they flew off to investigate filled him with a sense of nostalgia that would have been more exciting if not for their current objective. Fortunately he would not have to wait for very long before his former teacher had the information that they needed, drawing up a rough facsimile of the building based on what she had learned through her Quirk. Her plan was simple, but Sora usually found simple to be best in times like this; when lives hang in the balance, it was better to not over-complicate things if at all possible. The fewer the steps to a plan, the less likely to make a mistake. At least, hopefully. Sora nodded as Fuyuko explained to him his own role in their plan, ready to get moving as soon as possible. "Understood, just leave it to me! I'll get into position." He assured The Watcher, giving her a quick thumbs up before quietly approaching the entrance of the building. Silently he held his ear to the door, listening for the telltale signs of Fuyuko cutting the lights. After just a few seconds he heard the heavy groan of old lights being shut down, and the frantic shouts of criminals in the dark about what just happened (in more ways than one). He nodded to himself, then immediately kicked the door open. The dealers within were blinded, the bright rays of light streaming through the opening almost like a flashbang after the sudden darkness. Sora's eyes found the steel beam suspended overhead that Fuyuko had mentioned to him, and also saw the small room with three guards posted outside where the captives were being held. "Good," Sora thought as he prepared himself. "Won't need to worry about them while I clean up shop." Those thoughts in his head, the Gale Force hero suddenly began to inhale. The sheer force of his lungs' sent several of the men stumbling as they lost their footing due to unnatural wind, even managing to bunch most of them together. Once they were all near enough each other, Sora made sure he had a good angle and stopped inhaling. But before any of the thugs could regain their sense of direction, he released the air he had been sucking up, blowing them all back and sprawled across the ground beneath the steel beam overhead. Fuyuko had instructed him to breath as hard as he could, and maybe back in school he would have needed to do so for his role in this plan. But now, such a thing was trivial to him. Once the dealers were in position, he looked towards where he could smell Fuyuko. "Now!" He called out to her, making his way over to the room the hostages were locked in as his old teacher did her part. It wouldn't be long before all the criminals outside were drawn back in by the sound of the commotion, so he wanted to be sure that he stood between them and the civilians. Fuyuko

Sora simply returned the man’s eye contact as he was glared at, unaffected as Nadeshiko gave him some money for putting up with them and happily claimed her prize. The man was lucky it was such a petty operation; using your Quirk to rig competitions and such things was illegal. Had there been anything but a stuffed animal at stake he’d be tempted to deal with the situation then and there. But for now he was content to follow his companion out of the store, making a mental note of the shop’s location, name, and employee. The young hero was shaken from his thoughts as he heard the people around them whispering the name of Nadeshiko’s father, and he turned to see the girl covering herself with the large hood of her coat as she hugged her new plush tightly. She noted how crowded it was, and he nodded. “Yeah, if any place in Japan’s gonna be crowded it’d probably be Akihabara. One of those sorts of places with a little bit of something for everybody. I used to come here all the time back when I was at UAU and before, whenever I wasn’t working or training.” He told her with an easy smile as the nostalgia washed over him. He grinned. “So, is there anything in particular you’d like to do? Somewhere you heard of that you wanna check out, maybe?” If she could get that invested in a little guessing game gimmick, he was curious what sort of places she’d be interested in or how she’d react to the real attractions and sites of Akihabara.
