Gumi loved how busy Akibahara was. Compared to her previous life in America, this was truly a dream come true. She had the most freedom one could imagine, using her life savings (and inheritance) for her day-to-day needs and having set up an intricate bartering system for her entertainment. Who wouldn’t like to make their schedule?
She started by gathering up some items she collected: a mint condition comic book, two old cellphones, a blueberry pie, and a limited edition flavor of mandarin orange gum.
The first stop was Akibahara Comics Unlimited, where she traded in the comic book for a few yen. It was probably worth a lot more, but she only needed enough for a moped rental and while she didn’t accept money she did give it away if requested. Then, once that was done, she found her usual client, Imamura Ichirou. “Imamura-saaaaaaan~ I brought ya something special! Can I borrow a ride? I need ta go see Zaza again! We’re going to give her a break before the babies come ‘round! I’ll return it later this week!” Imamura-san was a big fan of sweets and often fell prey to the exuberance Gumi gave off and made trades instead of just yen. He would accept the small yen alongside the blueberry pie and send her on her way.
Riding the moped, she would head down the usual road, stopping briefly for a man who didn’t have much. She would give him one of the phones he could sell to find himself something to eat in exchange for a sticky hand he had bought with the leftover money from the last time she did this.
With her errands being done for the week, Gumi made her way to Zaza’s place in a much more affluent area of town. She might have looked out of place with her usual white jacket and tiny hat, but it did not matter to her. When she arrived at her door, she hit the doorbell and called out, “Zaza~ It’s me! I’m here to check on the baby zazas.” Humming happily, she added, “You won’t believe what I got today It’s sooooooo cool~ Seriously, try to guess! I’ll wait- It's GUM, a limited flavor. Ya got ta try some; it’s so good! Well, I think it’s good I heard from Ichigori-san, who lives three doors down, that it’s good! I wonder if the babies would like it? I know ya can chew gum, so might as well enjoy it ya know?” She would check her phone to look at the time. “We gotta move girlie if we wanna catch the train! Beppu Onsen makes me so pumped!”

Without anesthetic, he'd have to bear the pain a little longer until she could find a few of her useful painkillers. None were truly as effective as being completely numb, but Antoine looked like a tough guy!
"Ya know, everyone I've met who comes from abroad somehow doesn't leave. Even my cousin came here for work and met a nice lady so he's stuck!" she laughed, knowing that if Antoine heard the full details of Chuck's situation that he would have a bajillion other questions. "Oho fighter, huh? I get a lot of ya. Bernie not wanting anyone to learn the secret recipe~" her rummaging would finally come to an end as she was able to find her numbing solution and smellingsalts.
She watched unblinking as Antoine came to grips with the pain. "Woah, you're honestly pretty tough! Usually, one of those and someone would be a crumpled ball on the floor." she would approach with a rag to dab up some of the blood dripping from his sides and then give him a small push so he was sitting on the table. "Round two~!" she said cheerily, applying the numbing solution up and down his spinal cord and then moved on to the next section. The pain level would surely drop albeit just a tiny bit as this wasn't more than a topical numbing cream. To prevent him from spazzing out further she would use her quirk to make the bench sticky enough that even if or rather when he passed out he wouldn't fall and crack his head open on the pavement.
Thank god for unconventional medical practices! Something like this in a hospital would have cost a couple of million yen at least and then months of recovery time.

"The only thing you know how to say??" Megumi would burst out laughing. "Bernie should be teaching you better than that!" Pulling out her gloves from her pocket, she would slip them on to give Antoine a proper examination. She would focus on tracing her fingers over the scar tissues and bruises to get a feel using the feedback she received from her palpitators. 'No deep lacerations, probably getting beat up a little too often' she thought to herself "So...you must be a fighter huh? for good? for evil? profiiiiiit~?" none of it mattered to her, but it would give some more context as to how someone ended up with this many injuries.
"Oh! I can fix ya back. It's gonna hurt a lot cause my roommate took my last anesthetic. I'm just gonna fuse some of your spine together, kay~?" she wouldn't wait for an answer instead tracing her finger down his spine before placing both palms equidistant to each other and using her quirk, she would snap some of the ligaments and strained muscles back into their original positions. For Antoine, this would feel like his entire back had shifted and was lit on fire. "That's one-quarter done! too much at once ya'll go into shock and probably die" she laughed taking a step back to let him work out the pain as she prepared for the next batch.

Megumi sighed a breath of relief as she crossed the language barrier. Her parents both spoke English and Spanish so she could pick it up rather quickly at a younger age and had over a decade to learn Japanese.
"Where ya from?" she asked, initially disregarding his question about her services until her ears caught up with her brain. "Oh duh! Ya that's me! Megumi at your service!" she would take the paper from Antonine and inspect it quickly "ooh Bernard, huh? Yeah yeah, come in!" She'd move to let Antoine past her to enter her place. It was messy and littered with what Megumi called treasure but could just as easily be considered junk. She would lead him past this, stepping over a few piles before they'd hit the door to the basement where she had her room used for all things medical.
She'd push the door open which had a big picture of a goose with a x over it and gesture for him to enter. "So, whats bothering ya? I don't charge a fee for first-time patients, but if ya need ta come back it'll cost you uh..." she placed a finger on her chin, tapping it in thought and then snapping her fingers "Food next time! perhaps something sweet? Or maybe savory. Oh oh! Bernard has this special item I always ask for I call it the 'Fat American Burger' he'll know what I'm talking about!"

Zaza and Chuckie were both off doing other things and she didn't know where Goose was as it had been gone for a few days. Aside from a few early morning patients she had been lazing around for the entire afternoon, laying on her couch with a comic in hand and a sandwich.
Whenever Goose returned, she would be ready with the other half of the sandwich otherwise, she'd have to spend the entire night arguing with it again. You'd think that wouldn't be a big deal, but each head had a different opinion, so it got old pretty quickly. Easier to just have extra food on hand!
The knock on her door made her pause mid-bite, placing her stuff down and brushing the crumbs off her shirt. She would call out "Coming~!" and with a spring in her step, would bound over to the door, open it, and crank her neck up to be greeted with the sight of a heavily tattooed man looking back at her "Yo! You know mochi mochi isn't on this street? This is my home mochi mochi is 5 blocks down and then take a right, can't miss it!" she fired off fairly quickly which the man likely wouldn't have understood at the speed in which she spoke. Taking a look again it was clear that this man was a foreigner and that was why he didn't say anything! She would clear her throat and try again, this time in Spanish "Do you understand Spanish? I was saying Mochi Mochi isn't here; you've got the wrong address but don't worry it happens~!" she added cheerily waiting in anticipation to see if this got through to him. She only had English and sign language left otherwise they'd be here all day!

From bands playing life music, to late night eats it was heaven for someone like Megumi! She spends most of her time trying new places and doing her best to forge connections using her services as collateral. When they didn't work their was always the trade route!
Tonight she had a craving for ice cream and luckily for her, there was a spot very close by where she was owed several favors by the old lady in charge. Megumi had managed to fix her lower back issues using her knowledge of the human body and her quirk to fuse the areas of trouble together. Free ice cream for life! Even if Megumi wasn't keen to abuse this privilege, she ventured to get some at least one day a week.
Sweet Potato Ice Cream in hand she was heading back to The Hoard and planned to just lounge around as Goose was on his walkabout for the next few hours. Something about honking at the jerks in the park? Either way, she fiddled with her keys when a car came to a short stop close to her. The sight of Chuck being disheveled wasn't too uncommon as he tried his best to be considerate of Zaza. Unfazed as usual, she took a bite of her ice cream as she gave him a once-over, and took a slow bite "Need ya head fixed, Chuckie?" she raised her height to the maximum now standing a full foot taller than Chuck and ate the rest of the ice cream in one bite.
Using herself to support him she would bring him inside and towards the operating room "Shouldn't ya be able to heal this yaself?" she would hum happily to herself as she laid him down on the table, putting something to collect the blood dripping from his open wound "Sooooo, how's Zaza~? I gotta do a checkup with her soon~!" she would ask in a fashion that completely disregarded the urgency of the situation as she used her quirk to slowly close each wound, siphoning off the extra blood to prevent more complications later.

Megumi is a free spirit through and through. Characterized by her exuberance and goofy demeanor, she is very, very rarely seen without a smile on her face. There is virtually nothing that can hinder her spirits. She is the type who could find happiness in a hurricane! She's bubbly and caring, never missing an opportunity to express herself. From her own experiences during her developmental years, she has an aversion to fighting, opting to support or flee if given the chance. As much as this might seem like cowardice in reality, she knows firsthand how much the consequences of a fight can ripple out and flip the lives of others entirely upside down, and she thinks having an ego or pride is pretty stupid. From a very young age, they taught her that money didn't really matter and that happiness and helping others was the most important thing in the world. A lesson that young 'Megumi' would take to heart and hold in high regard for the rest of her life. Watching her parents work was fascinating and sparked her interest in medicine. Even at the young age of 4, right around when her quirk first manifested, she found a knack for repairing minor wounds by using her quirk. Highly illegal, but she would use this in secret, knowing that while her parents were supportive, they still stayed within the boundaries of the law. Life continued without issue for a few years, with their large family getting together occasionally until she was about twelve years old. Around that time, her family started to be visited by some strange men. They came repeatedly for a few months until her world would be flipped upside down. Years later, she would only find out that those were hired men from a crime organization that didn't appreciate their lack of money for protection. This was the last time she would see her parents as she ran just like they always instructed her to. It took her about two years before she could find a way out of the country for her protection, and during this time, she managed to barter and trade her way up to getting a plane ticket, using her knowledge of medicine and quirk to get by just barely. She couldn't reach out to other family members for their own protection, so she decided wherever she ended up, she would change her name and make a life for herself. The gloves, when worn, combine small electrical impulses with Megumi's nerves to relay information to her brain. This gives her a real-time ultrasound, letting her perform surgery without imaging equipment. The secondary function of these gloves is to decouple the nerve receptors in the gloves by putting them in reverse to attack a person's nervous system using their bioelectricity. Especially in the case of the Gutierrez family! After reuniting with her first cousin CHUCK MCCOY and proving they were biological cousins, she got permission to test his unique quirk factor. She combined this with his medical knowledge to create a drug with 'zombie-like' properties. This drug temporarily boosts her Vitality, allowing her to use this in tandem with quirk to numb pain and force any wounds (even grievous ones) to repair themselves. Since her quirk doesn't adapt to her clothing, she wanted to develop an alternative. Luckily for her, after getting permission to perform some tests on Zaza's blood, she developed a set of clothing with some properties of her quirk. These clothes can alter her size and change their design on command while also being able to function as an option for defense by providing an extremely limited form of armor [Replaces Durability] [attr="class","body"] [attr="class","header2"]QUIRK  QUIRK NAME: Adhesion + Shrinky Dink QUIRK RANK: C- QUIRK TYPE: Emitter + Transformation QUIRK DESCRIPTION: Megumi’s first quirk allows her to create adhesive and anti-adhesive forces by converting the space between objects into a physical, white adhesive. The adhesion isn't generated physically from Megumi as the adhesive doesn’t exist until the quirk is applied and it becomes tangible. Since the adhesive can be used in the spaces between things, Megumi has learned to apply her abilities to heal using her quirk to adhere tissues and mend fractured bones to heal physical injuries. Even still, she’s not able to nullify the pain of injuries. Using her ability, which can be used in a small range from herself, she can induce adhesive properties to objects/materials, making things stick to them when they come in contact. Additionally, she can alter the strength of this adhesive on a scale from being slightly tacky to requiring top-notch machinery to pull it apart. [ Narrative Use Only: She can reattach things using limited telekinesis, but only if they were initially whole.] This also can be used in reverse on herself by applying anti-adhesive forces that result in having solids (sand, dirt, etc.), liquids (paints, water, tar, etc.), and gases adhering to them. Anything attempted to be applied in this manner will slide/fall off. Her second quirk, Shrinky Dink, allows her to alter her size slightly from a minimum of 3’0 to a maximum of 6’2. Anything that she has in contact with her skin also changes to be the relative size of whatever height she is at a given time (No Mechanical Benefits) QUIRK DRAWBACKS: It is not impossible to remove the adhesive as it only sticks to whatever the original surface connected to it would be. For example if one were to get their shirt stuck to something, they could remove the shirt, or if the object/material isn't too tough they could remove part of it. As stated earlier the healing portion of Adhesion only fixes physical wounds, it does not reduce the pain or potential side effects of injuries. Lastly, the adhesive is strictly chemically neutral. It doesn't interact or have any weaknesses with any specific materials or substances; however, this also means that the adhesive is harmless. There is no way that contact with it can cause any damage to an object/material.
