He didn’t particularly get the confusion from Ghouligan, nor was he particularly bright today to make assumptions, whether they were loud or internalized. "Wait, you don’t have time to eat? Must be a pretty miserable existence." he questioned, completely oblivious to his actual intention to not linger around waiting for police to question them. But there hadn’t been a police patrol that Hiro hadn’t been able to simply run away from. He had noticed that cop cars struggled going up the side of a building, or anywhere that wasn’t a paved road. As Ghouligan continued to ask about the very specific details of who Hiro was, he wondered himself if that guy was not as bright himself. "Yeah, sounds about right.” he’d confirm in a dry tone. Although that first part about meeting, well, that sounded a little too forward for him. "Also I appreciate the interest, but I think we know each other too little to “meet” up...” he’d say, awkwardly scratching his neck with the faintest blush on his cheek. He wasn’t being flippant… mostly… But he needed to clear that up if it was anywhere up in it. "I know I am pretty irresistible, but I am not into… Well, I must admit I don’t know what I am into.” he’d blurt out, just another thing that amnesia conveniently had left blank.

Hiro felt so despondent about his burnt sandwich, that he didn’t realize that he was now the temporary owner a stray kitten… But the hero snapped him out of the daze, although it was hard not to feel emotional about his lack of tasty bread. "I mean… I guess so.” Hiro would remark, holding the adorable little furball in the air almost as if he was appraising a diamond. … But the thing’s eyes were so damn endearing that he couldn’t even remotely contemplate asking money for him. What kind of person would that even make him? Not a particularly good one, he’d reckon. "So, anyways. How do you even breathe in that suit?” Hiro would ask the hero, feeling it was probably the only question worth asking. Well, that and “do you have money for food”, but he would rather show a more wholesome side before grifting them for a few hundred yen. But honestly, the hero didn’t seem like they were a particular bright bulb out of the box, so he wasn’t keeping his hopes up for them being one of those loaded top tier heroes that earned so much that they slept on a bed of gold.

It was clear to Hiro that his sword was being respected, but that hadn’t stopped the six headed behemoth from lessening its ferocious onslaught on him, much at it had undoubtedly shown the other heroes that had fallen to it. "If you think you can make me your next victim, you’re massively mistaken!” he claimed as he managed to avoid the erratic swings of the knife. An amateur might assume it was because the goose had no idea what it was doing with it, but Hiro knew better than to underestimate this foul fowl. Its intelligence sextupled, along with its nastiness. If a normal goose was a load to handle, this one couldn’t be allowed to leave this fight without a true moment of deterrence. But Hiro would yowl as one of its beaks snatched his leg, the many fangs piercing his skin with the clear aim to cripple him and make it impossible to escape. But lucky for him, he had other plans. Butting it with the pommel of its sword, it made sure to force it to release its iron fanged grip, before planting his empty hand against a piece of debris and vaulting himself into the air. Gracefully landing a few feet back, but sadly not without giving away a buckle of his now wounded leg. Maybe the few seconds could give him a chance to think up a plan, something that could help him take out the goose without resorting to… permanent solutions. He might not hold himself to the inane bureaucracy that heroes were apparently bound by, but he wasn’t a cold hearted killer. Of people or animal life. But despite his hearts desires, his instincts grew harder and sharper, and along with it he could feel the blade becoming lighter, shimmering ever more dangerously in the light of fires and the sun above.

The six headed demon stood as fierce and fearless as Hiro would expect the leader of such monsters to act. Five of its heads staring at him with ill intent, the sixth holding a knife glistening menacingly in the light of the sun, almost with seeming perfect control and finesse causing the glare to hit Hiro’s eyes just as it decided to cry out its murderous creed and charge him. This goose was out for blood… Four heroes had not done anything to stop its desire for it, and Hiro was next! "Step back!” he’d call out, trying to shield him from the sharp glare blinding him. He swung his sword towards the goose, hoping it was enough to make it heed his demands. But there was something about the encounter that had already managed to work his way up his spine, his instincts knew the threat was real and the sword seemingly reacted to that as the dented and blunted exterior sharpened itself. It couldn’t cut much, but with the Goose on the warpath and using such cunning tricks, maybe it was a matter of time before it truly got bad...

Sitting on the edge of a nearby rooftop, Hiro had decided to throw his boots up for a few hours and just enjoy a leisurely laze somewhere he knew he wouldn’t be disturbed. Sure, there was the bustle below him on the streets that in a sense sounded like waves crashing onto a shore, but it also calmed him down. It made him wonder where he had come from, because the more he thought about it the less he assumed he was from a big city. Nor any town he had passed through on his journey up to Tokyo, and possibly beyond. Maybe he wasn’t even from Japan as a whole, there was also that possibility. But the longer he thought about it all, the more elusive his forgotten memories seemed to get. But when his frustrations got too much, he’d just forget about it by eating something tasty and letting his eyes dart around. He’d notice an old lady lamenting her kitty up in the tree, and Hiro figured he could maybe get a small reward for saving them. But before he could act upon that, a seemingly vapid red headed lady in a brilliant white bodysuit approached the woman and claimed in no unclear terms that she was going to save the day. In fact, it was loud enough that he could hear it over all the noise coming off the street. Hiro’s interest had been piqued, as he continued munching on the half stale sandwich he had earned himself yesterday. Taking her time, eventually a shard launched itself from the hero that had called herself Nova something. But rather than catching a branch it would veer off course and run itself through the hood of the car, which as quickly started smoking like an old timey cartoon car that was made of tinder. The fire spread, and soon enough the car would decide that just a fire wasn’t enough, and instead turned itself into a fireball that just so happened to also aim straight up at the tree where the Kitten was about to be roasted… ”Oh dear...” the old lady would call out as the fireball turned the tree into a torch. Eyes turned to the young heroine, consternation mixed with mild anger. The old lady seemed despondent, as they couldn’t find their kitten anymore. "Well, fortunately I was here in time..." Hiro would call out, as eyes turned to face him, the kitten clinging onto him like their life depended on it. Hiro had a certain charred aura about him, he had honestly not expected the fireball when he had dropped himself down to grab the kitten from the tree, so he had to do a little acrobatics to avoid becoming a roast chicken himself. "Oh my dear poodums...” the old lady would exclaim as sadness became joy once more and she went to look at the kitten… ”… Wait, you’re not poodums...” she exclaimed, her tone changing to one of whimsical confusion. ”Oh right, poodums is at my grandchild today!” she said, trailing off literally to go along her way. "Wait, does that mean I won’t get a… reward?” Hiro said, holding up the hand with the sandwich and realizing that had been the fireball’s only victim... Well, he felt a victim in the sandwich’s demise…

This new guy definitely had more moves than any of the other ones combined, it was obvious in not how they had thrown themselves into the fight but rather how controlled they had been at displaying their aggressiveness. Hiro was so into the fight he confused the sparks from the arms for his sword blows, when the fire came he could only dodge at the latest possible moment by falling backwards. Using his quirk to ‘grip’ off the body of the red haired boy and kicking himself back to his feet in what bystanders would assume was a frivolous showoff. In actuality, he preferred it over falling on his butt. Ability or no ability, nobody liked falling on their butt. When he had recomposed himself sword in hand, the situation had already changed as the boss was now chewing out his own people. ”I kept telling them, I am not the guy you think I am.” Hiro said, the blue in his eyes slowly fading to its natural state. He made sure to put his sword away, because he really didn’t fight some more. ”Also, they stole my food!” Hiro said, looking over the red haired boys’ shoulders and mean mugging the thief in question. Calling him a crook was one thing, trying to fight him was another, but stealing his snack had been a bridge too far.

Ghouligan was an interesting name, Hiro thought to himself, barely noticing the shift in the man’s body language after he had shared his own name. Definitely didn’t sound like a name that a hero would use, but what did he know, but whatever it was it didn’t matter because they had done the right thing and for a simple person like Hiro that made him okay in his book. "Hiro..." he answered the second time Ghouligan asked for his name. "I. Am. Hiro." he’d reiterate with a smile. Maybe there was a language barrier at play, they definitely didn’t seem like someone that would kid around much. "Sooo… You don’t by any chance feel like getting something to eat? Because I am honestly starving." he’d propose, although he’d avoid the fact that he was dead broke right now. Somewhat selfishly, he had hoped the old lady would’ve gotten him some sort of reward. But that plan had been thrown out of the window.

The atmosphere had changed, whilst the area Hiro was hanging out in wasn’t exactly bustling like the center of Tokyo or any other major center, the streets were practically deserted with only stray people moving around with clear ‘get away’ intent in their step. He had honestly not kept up to date with the news, so maybe it was a holiday of some sorts? He had a phone, but barely knew how to use it without breaking it, and he had no clue why people were so obsessed with watching television or the screens. "I guess there won’t be much work for me today..." Hiro would speak out loud to himself, perhaps in the hope that somebody overheard him and offered him something to do. Of course, the few in earshot gave him a weird look and continued on their hurried path whilst mumbling something about ‘crazy Hiros’, which made him wonder how they knew his name… But whatever eerie silence had befallen the suburb, a violent noise of something monstrous nearly took him off his feet in shock. The crunching of buildings collapsing, metal being crushed, and the screams of civilians. Hiro needed no second thought to run headlong at it, he wasn’t a professional, but he couldn’t stand by if there were innocent people in danger. "Calm down, and try to go where I came from!” he’d tell fleeing bystanders, helping a young woman clutching her child to her feet, and feeling glad that they were unharmed. In the middle of the square was the threat, surrounded by rubble, burning wreckage, and at least a dozen slain oceanic monsters. What he assumed were four heroes were down and out, but by the sound of their pained moans had been lucky enough to survive the onslaught. "What could have done this?!” Hiro spoke in astonishment, assuming the heroes had taken out those monsters… But the vigilante’s eyes squinted as what he assumed was the leader, a six-headed hydra… goose? "You...”Grabbing his sword, Hiro knew better than to underestimate something that could cause all this destruction, and take out four professionals. Those six heads and unassuming goosey exterior must hide monstrous power.

The guy with the water blasts seemed to take point as his friends seemed more intimidated than angry, preferring to let their strongest friend fight on their behalf rather than putting themselves at risk. Hiro could respect that attitude to a point, mainly because it seemed like they knew their own abilities rather than were craven. They weren’t a bunch of street gang thugs thinking they could take shots at everyone, Hiro had that feeling from the start. But where the water abilities were good at range, Hiro would keep it short, forcing him to back down, move around him, and step aside every time he threw a somewhat lazy swing of his sword. Hitting a leg here, a shoulder there, and poking him backwards with the hilt. "Stop playing with me, bastard!” The water boy claimed in anger, noticing what he was doing. "Fight me, or leave this town!” he continued. "Seriously, you really have the wrong idea about m--” he’d finish his sentence, but super soaker would stop him in his tracks and force him to jump off the lamp post. But not without taking a step in mid air, and landing behind the guy. Poking the sword in his back. "Knock it off, if I were a bad guy you’d be really hurt or dead right now.” Hiro would finally say having lost some of his cool. They were playing silly games, and the guy wasn’t a good enough user of his quirk to be nothing more than a nuisance to anybody who really wanted to hurt him good. He moved around him a final time, lowering his sword. But before the situation could finally de-escalate, a new contender emerged barging through the crowd and immediately throwing a haymaker his way. "Yeah, show him whose boss, E!” one of his apparent friends called out from the group. Unlike the last one, this one threw a fist with much more poise than his friend had done with the water shots. Hiro tried to step back, but realized too late that there was a stationary car behind him. Seeing the fist close in, his instincts would instead take over as he slipped again and this time swung his sword hard enough to throw sparks off the prosthetic. Fortunately, because an actual arm would probably have been seriously damaged. ”I keep trying to tell you, I am not...” he stopped himself, shaking his head… Who cared, they clearly didn’t, so maybe it was time he stopped caring himself… Focus mixed with frustration, he clutched his sword with a different goal. He poised himself, and then would swing a sharp shot at the red haired threat. The sword wasn’t sharp enough to do a problematic amount of damage, but it was getting there.

Watching the mysterious stranger take out the crooks made it pretty clear to Hiro that they had done this kind of things many times before, a calculated level of control over their actions and taking them out in a way that made sure that they would probably awake having learned their lesson in bruises. It immediately gave Hiro a slight feeling of kinship, two experts identifying each other on their abilities without ever needing to tell one another about it. "Yeah, I got everything including my sword.” Hiro smiled as he twirled the blunt piece of metal between his fingers. A trick he had known without understanding its origin, yet another mystery from the past that he had simply taken at face value. The criminals, despite getting tossed around plenty by the stranger, would limp off like wounded animals. Hiro wanted to stop them, but also wondered what he’d do if he did so. They couldn’t exactly take them to the police, who’d arrest them as quickly as they did the crooks for using their abilities without license. A system that Hiro really didn’t like, because it prevented him from doing good. The old lady bowed her head in gratitude as she took her bag and clutched it tightly, undoubtedly feeling slightly intimidated by the two of them having so freely used their abilities. Once the lady had left, Hiro would turn to face the other. "That were some awesome skills you showed just then...” Hiro said, raising his hand in a greeting. "I’m Hiro, by the way.”

Letting in a deep breath, his smile was practically beaming as he graciously accepted the snack from the stall owner he had just saved from a heaping whole load of trouble. Of course by beating up a bunch of crooks who thought the hard working stall owner was easy pickings. Luckily Hiro had just walked into town and had seen it all happen, and stepped in to make sure those criminals wouldn’t bother hard working people again. He was sure the heroes would’ve gotten to it, but Hiro was right there, and when he saw injustice like that he just had to step in. And the free meal was something he more than graciously accepted as an impromptu reward. "Maybe I’ll stick around this place a little while, the people seem nice..." he thought to himself as he scarfed down the snack piece by piece. The weather was nice, the people were nice, this definitely seemed like a decent place to roost for a little bit to get his bearings… Maybe earn some of that money he’s always short on, so that he wasn’t always working for scraps and living off the kindness of others. But walking down the street, he did notice a group walking his direction, some were talking amongst each other, but the sour faces on them meant they sought trouble, or just had gotten beaten at a game of baseball… If the bats they were wielding were a sign of anything? Hiro would make sure to give them a wide berth, but it quickly became clear that they were very much focused on stopping him in his tracks. "What’s up, my fellow kids.” he said to the group with a casual smile, continuing to enjoy his snack with nary a care in the world. ”Need my help with anything?” he’d propose, maybe wondering if his name preceded him. But they didn’t seem to share his calm and positive nature. "That’s funny coming from you, we know who you are, and you’re not welcome in this part of town.” the first one said, the baseball bat resting on his shoulder. Hiro didn’t expect threats, but he could notice that there was something else behind those threats… Not anger, or the bluster of bad people, but it felt more like an anxious kind of fear… Towards him, possibly? "You probably have the wrong person, I just helped someone, and I got this snack as a reward!” he’d remark, raising the snack as his trophy. Only for someone to take it as if they were taking lost property. "Yeah we saw that little play you did, sending your buddies to harrass a stall owner and then ‘swoop in as the hero’, you’ve been doing that crap all over the region.” the snacktaker spoke, passing the snack to someone in the back. "Wait, that’s not true. I just showed up today.” Hiro tried to profess, feeling slightly annoyed that his food was now someone else’s. "I help people… Maybe we got this off the wrong foot, I am Hiro.” he’d offer his hand in greeting. Except nobody accepted it, merely sneering at its sight before a third person showed a phone with a grainy distant video of a scruffy looking tracksuit crook ransacking a store with a handful of allies. "Ratty tracksuit, carries a crappy sword, looks like they haven’t washed in three weeks… Pretty sure you’re that guy, ‘Hiro’.” the most assured of them spoke. "If I squint I can see what you’re saying, but I promise you I am not that guy…” his hand went to the phone trying to zoom the video. "… Look...”He couldn’t finish as the leader shot a beam of water at his chest, forcing Hiro to take a dash backwards, even if it meant bowling through the people behind him. He dodged the first one, and then unsheathed his sword to block the next. The blasts weren’t to kill, but still focused enough to hurt him. "You guys seem like decent folks trying to stop the wrong person, and I really don’t want to fight you guys...” he called out, his eyes lit blue as he was ready for anything. Bystanders cleared out, the small group of well intentioned world-improvers spread out to surround Hiro in a semi-circle as a few passer-by’s grabbed their phones to record what was going on, or even call the police or even heroes to intervene...

"You won’t hear a no from me, stranger!" Hiro answered the young man who had joined the scene. They seemed to have found a way to look more scraggly and rough than Hiro did, but the level handed commentary made him feel like he could trust them more than the crooks trying to act like Hiro was the villain. Pulling back his sword, he changed his focus towards the newcomer, raising the bag and tossing it at him, figuring that it would show that Hiro was not a criminal trying to steal a bag from a kindly old lady. "Now you three stay p-” his words would stifle as his lapse in concentration brought forth the third man with his razor sharp nails. He’d dodge just in time, but the opening gave all three of them the chance to get up and try to flee the scene. Even if that meant having to go through the newcomer standing inbetween them and safety.

What a bother.Hiro looked back at his pursuers as he leapt off the side of the building, using one extra ‘step’ on the air to ensure he cleared the gap between the two high rises with room to spare. The bright colours popping off the buildings creating a visual spectacle of his silhouette. What had started as a normal day had turned into a mighty annoying one, he saw some punks trying to harass a food stall owner and decided to do something about it, only for a duo of heroes to get the wrong idea and decide they had to chase him instead. What was it honestly about those heroes not realizing he was doing good, not just taking a break and understanding that he wasn’t a crook or a menace. "Listen, I am not the bad guy you think I am!" he’d turn to run backwards for a few seconds as he looked at his pursuers with bemusement. Neither stopped running at him, one of them shooting what looked like specialized water pistols at him, but with water that snaked in mid air aimed to trip him up. The other one split off, using a skateboard looking board as both a vehicle, shield, and ranged weapon in acrobatic displays. He’d be a lot faster if he stopped doing tricks along the way Hiro thought to himself. "Then stop running, and give yourself up, because you’re still breaking the law!” the water gunslinger called out, not stopping with slinging water his way. Hiro shook his head to himself, letting one of the shots trip him up before making an exaggerated stumble to the edge of the building to plummet down seemingly to his demise. Of course, he’d use his sword to acrobatically hook onto a fire exit before slinging himself out of sight. ”If I knew the heroes in Tokyo were so stubborn, I would’ve stayed away...” he talked to himself as he hoped the heroes would move on. Unsurprisingly, they didn’t, realizing he had not fallen he heard the two of them talk and choose to split up knowing that he couldn’t have gotten far yet. He couldn’t help but stifle a mild curse when one of them called in support, too. And seemingly within seconds he could hear the buzzing of drones, as one emblazoned with a massively overdesigned hero agency logo started patrolling the alleyway he was hiding in. All the running was taking it out of him, and with the thing flying around, he couldn’t exactly slip away without being detected and being chased some more… He really should’ve stayed away from Tokyo, with all these heroes, they don’t even need a guy like him...

His travels across the country had been an adventure and a half for him, now that he was getting more northern and the weather was getting colder he was questioning whether or not he should’ve stayed on that sunny island he had waken up on a different person. He still had no clue who he had been, and in many ways he had embraced being Hiro instead. It didn’t matter much if he couldn’t remember, and not knowing hadn’t stopped him from enjoying life. Every new thing he ate was a new sensation, some would probably call that a luxury all on its own. And with every yen he earned helping people out, he was one sensation further as every bit of money went to snacks, rather than the logical things than paying for room and board, the idea of using it towards finding more permanent station somewhere never crossed his mind. Gorging himself on some sweet snacks, he smiled and nodded at an old lady who probably saw him as a deadbeat… Which wasn’t the furthest from the truth, but as Hiro was about to turn the corner he heard the lady call out, turning around just in time to see a trio of actual deadbeats running off with her purse. Putting the final biscuit into his mouth, he’d get himself onto the roof quickly as he followed their path to safety, making sure to keep himself out of sight until the point they finally reached an alleyway and started rifling through their ill-gotten gains. "Don’t you deadbeats know better than to steal from sweet innocent old ladies?" he’d call out, standing tall over the petty crooks who thought they had gotten away with it. The crooks looked up like a cat that had just gotten caught in the act, they spread out and took a few steps back only to realize they had walked into a dead end. "Deadbeat? Look whose talking, tracksuit guy. If you think we’re going to share, you got another thing coming!”"I’m not a deadbeat, I’m here to protect kind old ladies from crooks like you three!” he answered in annoyance as he finished his cookie and jumped down, sword in hand. The crooks would look at the sword and almost start laughing at the sight of how poor it seemed to look. "Ok, kid. What are you going to do with that piece of crap? Run off, before we have to hurt you!” the crook said, showing off his ever-growing steel fingernails, shimmering sharply in the fading sun peeking into they alley. Rolling his eyes, Hiro raised his sword and placed it onto his shoulder, before gesturing them to try their best. Unsurprisingly, they didn’t need a second invitation to attack him after he offered it. But they hadn’t expected a master swordsman to be in front of them, as he casually blocked their attacks. A metal pipe clanged into his sword, but with a finesse he twisted the crook’s wrist and forced him to drop it, hitting him with an elbow and kicking him in the butt. The second one came at him with monsterous power, trying to swing a dumpster at him with ill intent. But with some deft steps Hiro not just side stepped, but leapt onto the side of the nearest building and launched himself to tackle him off his feet and hit him on the noggin’ to keep him down. That left the last one with the steel fingernails, now grown to the length of knives that could all pierce him. But Hiro wouldn’t even think twice as he used the blunt of his sword to go onto the defense, letting him think he was back first to a wall and make him swing wildly… When that happened, he’d slide underneath him, taking out his legs and pointing the blade at his neck. "I think you three should know better than be crooks, don’t you agree?” Hiro suggested as he picked up the old lady’s handbag and made sure that everything was still in place. If he was lucky the old lady was still around and he could give it back. But his attention switched to a new person walking into the alleyway, but he made sure to keep his sword pointed at the lead crook. But the crook’s reaction wasn’t one he expected... ”Help, this guy robbed an old lady and is now trying to kill us!” the crook shrieked in the most respectable mortal terror he could muster.

Wake up.With wide eyes his body shook awake, blue eyes scanning his surroundings as he tried to figure out where he was, where he had been taken. The last thing he remembered was waking up on a beach he didn’t know, feeling the wounds on his body that had pushed him within an inch of his life, quickly passing out again. Now he wasn’t on the beach, and instinctively feeling his body he noticed that his wounds were gone, well… the scars remained, jagged ones that zigged and zagged its way into a pattern that made one wonder how anybody could’ve survived the onslaught that had caused them. "Hey you, you’re finally awake." an inquisitive voice rang out in the doorway. Like a cornered cat, he’d try to spring into a defensive stance, only for his body to stop him dead in his tracks, making him realize that despite the healing the damage was still there, trying to mend itself. "Yeah I wouldn’t do that, we healed your wounds, but whoever hurt you wanted to make sure you wouldn’t walk it off…" they’d react to him coldly, the older man’s arms crossed and a cold sight on his eyes. The old man would step forward, no threat in his features but possibly more so because the person on the bed was in no state to be regarded as a threat. … Why was he being regarded as a threat anyways? "So, who are you, because I don’t want you to cause us any trouble." He questioned, with an implication in his voice that if the latter was true he’d be out of the house really quickly. Despite the questions, despite the pain coursing through his body, his eyes glanced around and he forced himself out of the bed, if only to collapse to his knees quickly. He was searching, he didn’t know what, but he needed to find it. "Where… is it?" he’d ask, like an addict trying to crawl towards his final cigarette. "The sword? That piece of junk is somewhere safe, how about you don’t worry about that and answer my questions..." the old man would continue to press, "Go easy on him Alphonse, he’s barely alive." a young woman would call out from behind, making their way into the room and forcing him back onto the bed. She would check his scars, furrow a brow, and bite the inside of her cheek. "Listen to me, you shouldn’t move. I closed your wounds, but you’re still susceptible to internal bleeding…" She tried to explain. His eyes would look up at hers, questioning whether or not he knew her from somewhere. "I don’t know..." he’d voice through ragged breath as he tried to breathe through the pain. "Internal bleeding is when wounds inside of you start to..." she’d start to explain, but he cut her off. "No, who are you? Where am I?" he’d ask, grasping for clues. "Pretty sure I asked that question first, boy." the old man returned. He’d think for a few seconds, his eyes fluttering around the room as he tried to genuinely find an answer for the questions. But as the seconds passed by, the old man only got more annoyed at the lack of a reply. "The sword?" he’d ask again, now knowing what his mind was looking for. The old man growled a little, and the first indication of anger showed as his fists clenched. But the woman gave him a look and a shake of the head. "You’re on Okinawa, they found you dying on the beach..." she’d tell him, but she noticed the lack of recognition in his eyes. "I’m Mako, that is Alphonse. We run a clinic… But you’re currently in Alphonse’s apartment." she’d continue to explain. "I still don’t understand why we didn’t bring him to the clinic..." he’d question out loud. "You know there’d be questions, Alphonse." Mako replied with a hint of jadedness. "I don’t see why that’s our problem, let the police deal with him..." he’d answer callously. Grabbing a bottle of water, she’d offer it to him, gratefully he would grab it and take a few sips, if only to get the lingering taste of seawater off his palate. Letting in a deep breath, he’d run a hand through his black hair, clingy and dirty from the seawater. "I don’t know who you are, I don’t think I am from here… I don’t know where I am from, or who I am?" he’d reveal to the two. The old man would react with a derisive snort, but the woman would look at him with the worry a mother would show a sick child, and she’d glance back at Alphonse. "Heavy trauma can sometimes cause amnesia..." her voice dry and matter-of-factly, purely as a doctor open to possibilities. "Yeah I know, but you’re telling me this kid wakes up, knows he needs some sort of sword, but then tells us he has no idea who he is anymore? It sounds like crap Mako, I say we call the cops, maybe he’s on the run… Maybe they put him in that state in the first place?" Alphonse would tell her, doubt in his voice. "It’s… not a lie…" he’d cough a reaction, but his eyes would flicker again as he once more looked around for some memory to cling on, but there was only one. "Where is the sword?!" he questioned again, but now his voice became distressed as his adrenaline spiked. Almost like a zombie refusing to stay down, the question forced his body to move on its own through the pain. He forced himself to his feet, but one step forward was one too many as the world went white around him and he collapsed backwards. Grasping his side, his breaths started to stutter erratically, his eyes laser focused on the ceiling. "Crap, I think a cracked rib might’ve punctured his lung… Quick --" the woman’s voice trailed off as he passed out.
