Michael Faraday
Rubber Shock
It was true; thanks to his body's rubber-like consistency Michael would not be able to conduct electricity. So in a sense he would be immune, or more likely highly resistant against those kind of effects so long as he didn't have a conductive gas flowing through him that she could ignite. This was rather perfect as a possible team combo. "Don't under sell it! This is incredible! And with me not being able to conduct electricity it means I can run back up and support for you while you're using it without any concern of getting in the crossfire!" Michael beamed excitedly wanting Yoko to appreciate her abilities more.
"We'll both work on our supers to keep us safe while we use them!" Michael pat her head gently, looming all the more over her than normal. He looked over to his sensei who was relatively about the height Yoko usually was for him. "I'm fine, ma'am, but I'll escort her to the infirmary so we can both be checked out." Michael said wondering how much longer until he would deflate back to normal height.
Michael still wanted to up lift Yoko's achievement, so he lifted her up to sit on his shoulder. It was much easier with his inflated size for her to just sit on a single side of his shoulders. He made purposeful efforts to duck under doorways even just to assure she didn't have to.
"We should start thinking of combo moves and ways to work together to make these supers more applicable. I can be target practice for you so you can get a better handle on aiming, especially against a moving target. Do you know if it gets any stronger the higher up you are? Maybe we should attempt some tests from different altitudes. Oh! Maybe we can talk to the engineering department about making you some gear to help focus the strikes like lightning rods that you can attach or throw at targets to aim assist!" Michael said already enthusiastically expressing his ideas of how to make her super easier to use and practice to make more efficient.

Michael chuckled a little as the two separated, kind of laughing at the concern for him. Being a crash pad was kind of specialty of his. He was fine, for the most part. The impact wasn't as bad as the road rash from bouncing along with momentum. Michael just hoped that the scrapes wouldn't be enough to break his rubbery skin. Having a leak definitely made his quirk difficult or even dangerous to use, as a small hole could tear open if stretched too much. But it felt like he didn't have any thing that cut deep enough, so it worked out.
"Yeah, don't worry. I'm made for this kind of stuff." He smiled as he gave a thumbs up. Michael could see the guilt on her face, though he was more use to seeing that from his best friend Yoko before she would then chastise him for being so reckless. Michael got up and attempted to help her to her feet as well by extending down a hand to pull her up. Michael dusted his gym clothes of by patting them with his hands as he stared ahead at the last stretch to the finish line.
Michael nodded when she said it was the same as before, keep the rhythm and they'd make it across just like before. On her count down, Michael broke into the song again. They were in sync enough they wouldn't have needed but at this point it was like a victory anthem for them as they strode towards the finishing line to the Beetles classic. The spectators seemed to get even more into the jam as they made the last dash, stomping and chanting along with them.
It didn't matter that they didn't win first place, they had won over the crowd. Michael scooped Misaki and sat her on his shoulder for her to be on full display for the adoring masses as she held up their flag. Michael was just a first year, he had plenty of time to try winning in contests in the future, but this was Misaki's moment to shine for the public she was going to soon become a hero for. He wished he could have done more to help her stand out, but she had shown just how much control she had with her quirk and how tactical and adaptable she was. Michael was thrilled to see the hero she would become and would strive to be as capable and confident as she was some day.

Michael was caught completely off guard when Misaki rolled off of him without any greater warning than to just 'catch her when she came back up'. Michael felt his heart drop into his stomach as he watched his partner plummet towards the ground below. He almost deflated to dive after her, but stopped himself. She had more than proven her capability through this event thus far and she did manage to fluster him in one way or another. This was apparently just how she was, a personality that would take some getting use to for Michael. Being such a genuine kind of person, her way messing with people or teasing just went over his head as being for laughs. She wasn't mean with it, so it wasn't really a bad thing, but Michael would need to not be so gullible if he didn't want her constantly giving him mild panic attacks.
With Michael not needing to hold Misaki, he was able to inflate himself a little, both to slow his forward momentum slightly so it would be easier for her to bounce back and for him to float slightly higher to help with their ascent. It was nerve racking waiting to find out if she would be okay. It was only a matter of seconds, but with his concern for her, it felt like it was taking forever. He actually heard her voice before he registered she was actually catapulting her way back up at him. Michael tensed in surprise as she slammed back into him, now more like an air bag than when she dropped, cushioning the impact.
Michael quickly coiled his arms around her protectively so to not let her drop again and from her collision they were pushed like a whoopie cushion getting hit with a baseball, knocking them to the top of the incline and to their goal. Michael kept a hold of her as they rolled and bounced along the ground slightly, his body enveloping her like a pillow until they came to a stop.
Michael exhaled in relief, letting out all of his built up gas and deflating back to normal size. "Are you alright?" He asked exhaling out the worry, assuming the landing was safe enough, but still checked her condition.
Notes & Tags:Takanashi Misaki , TLDR: Michael forces himself not to panic and floats along to get a little higher up and not too far forward. When Misaki catapulted herself up, Michael caught and held onto her as that was enough to get them towards their goal and his airbag of a body should have prevented most injury from impact or crash.

Looking Forward
Michael chuckled at Yoko's kneejerk reaction to use violence if anyone was mean to her inflatable buddy. All insecurities of a relationship or uncertainties of how he could even have a relationships were irrelevant with Yoko by his side. She was his little champion and he never felt lonely when he was with her.
While they were leaving the USJ, Michael was relieved and enticed when she changed the subject to a future evaluation for them. The super moves, that was right! Michael had a big surprise to show her that he had been working on in secret for weeks. He still hadn't tested it, but he was really looking forward to showing it off to Yoko first. "Yes! I'd love to be partners! I can't wait to see what you've come up with!"
Michael rolled his shoulders. Despite being sore after that extensive exercise he was starting to get reinvigorated by the idea of the super move evaluation. His body didn't want to stay still being so excited. He likely would start training as soon as he got back to his dorm in preparation. He couldn't wait for Yoko to see it!

Spark of Genius
Michael was relieved to have shrunk back down to a more reasonable size. The cramping still felt rather painful, but it was at least manageable at least enough to pretend it wasn't uncomfortable. Michael looked to his professor and bowed slightly in appreciation. It seemed like the bow was just a little one like a mild show of gratitude, but it was also the most Michael felt he could handle without feeling too much pain. Only for his body to tense up a little from Yoko scolding him.
But his pain was quickly overshadowed by his excitement for what Yoko had planned! She always had such a negative position on herself and her quirk so he felt that he claiming that hers was less insane than his idea of a super move only meant that she had come up with a cool and versatile use of her power. She didn't need to put herself in jeopardy just to make a big impact.
At the target range, she tried to down play what she had came up with, but this was a game changer! "Oh my gosh! YOKO! That was incredible!" Michael was too excited to let a little thing like charlie horses slow him down from gawking over his friend's accomplishment. He rush over to her, crouching down low since his current height made him even taller. He began nerding out with her about the physics and utility of this.
"That's amazing! What kind of wattage does that have? Is it safe to use against organic targets? Does it function like real lightning? How do you aim it? Is it just a direct strike or can it arc for a side strike? Is it strong enough to produce a ground current? What's the rate for your generation of bolts?-" Michael was so enamored with super move he was asking questions that she almost certain hadn't or couldn't have tested or just questions of the physics of how she could do it when quirks tended to sidestep most physics. Still his enthusiasm regularly sprinkled in his awe of her. "You're so cool! You're going to be such an amazing hero! This makes you incredible up close and at a distance now!"

Winning Results
Michael just lied on the ground, sighing contently that the event was over and he not only managed to keep his head, but he managed to get a new friend out of the competition. The idea of something to drink sounded just perfect. A nice bubbly soda after meeting such a bubbly and wild person seemed more than appropriate. Still he wasn't looking to move just yet. Staring up at the raining latex was beautiful even more so since he could share the moment with Khepri... until she asked a question that caught him completely off guard and forced him to sit up from the quirkiness of it.
"What...?! No. Oil is less dense than water, that's partially why it floats. The are also immiscible and their molecules do not attract to one another, but the biggest reasoning why that wouldn't work is the density. If oil and rain some how were raining simultaneously the oil would fall slightly slower because the less density would allow for less wind resistance compared to the water droplets. But you are significantly more dense than rain, you couldn't 'fly' or 'swim' through it just because your coated in oil." Michael spewed out the physics of her mad question only to be interrupted by the announcers.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR PAITENCE EVERYONE, DESPITE THE OVERWHELMING LONG TIME NEEDED TO ASSESS THE TOTALS, WE DO HAVE A VERDICT! THE WINNER OF THE BALLOON BONANZA IS... MAFDET KHEPRI, WITH AN ASTONISHING 4373 POINTS!
The crowd erupted in cheers as their and Michel's final combo was being replayed on the big screens.
"Alright! Way to go!" Michael said to Khepri as he stood up and extended a hand to them to help to onto their feet.
NOW OUR JUDGES WERE DEBATING OVER THIS RESULT AS MAFDET-SAN DID NOT ACCOMPLISH THIS ON THEIR OWN. SO HALF POINT CREDIT WAS AWARDED TO FARADAY-SAN AS WELL! LETS GIVE IT UP FOR OUR COMPETITORS TODAY! THANK YOU AND ENJOY THE FESTIVAL!~
A ribbon was brought down and given to Khepri to denote their victory and the crowd went wild.
Michael was satisfied with that result, especially as he watched how cool the two of them were while pulling off that final combo. "Come with me, I know a booth nearby with great drink selection." Michael said as he escorted Khepri away.

Not Wanting their Escape to Go to his Head
The moment Misaki gave the call, Michael lifted feet and was slingshot forward, launching the young would-be heroes into the air the flag fluttering behind them like a sail. Michael and Misaki flew through the air and away from the peak where their other competitors remained. Michael flung them towards the other slope but he was judging the distance as best he could, with the momentum they had, they were making good distance, but not enough for height.
Michael shouted out, "We're going down too fast. We need to do something to push us up the rest of the way! Michael normally would just resort to inflating up as a helium balloon but with how she was holding onto him, the only part he could feasibly inflate would be his head and that much gas expanding one part of his body put significant strain on it. It would be a last resort if they had nothing else, but he trusted in his teammate perhaps having a less risky idea.
Notes & Tags:Takanashi Misaki , TLDR: Michael launches them towards their goal, but they are losing altitude. If Misaki has a way to push them that little bit higher and further go ahead, otherwise Michael can inflate his head to float them the rest of the way.

In and Out
"I'm fin-" Michael started when suddenly a sudden stomach cramp rippled out through the rest of his torso. Michael grimaced as he staggered backwards slightly. Catching his balance, Michael exhaled deeply. He looked to his teacher than back down to Yoko. "I'm fine, I just need to get use to it... If I don't practice with it, it might take years for me to get any progress out of it."
Michael winced again, the concerns of being stuck like this was starting to build an anxiety in him, made worse with the latent fear of messing up the deflation process. It's going to be fine... you can do this... just like breathing... IN... Michael inhaled slowly. And OUT... He exhaled deeply. IN.... And OUT...
Using the mantra his mother would have him practice when he was young and just starting to use his inflation skills. Slow meditative breathing to calm his mind and let the air flow. IN... and OUT.... As he exhaled, he kept letting out more and more breath and the air filling him began to follow suit, expelling from him in a steady rate, shrinking Michael back down to normal, well almost normal size. Stretching himself out like that, Michael was now a good foot taller than he normally stood. It would probably go down if he held off using his quirk for a long rest, or even quicker if he took an ice bath later.
"See? I'm fine." Michael smiled at Yoko.
Notes & Tags: Yanai Yoko , Lucille Arbogast , TLDR: Michael used breathing exercises to shrink down to only a foot taller than normal

Stretch and Shoot
Misaki and Michael reached the top with relative ease with her cooperation. Shifting her weight to and fro definitely cut down on their time getting up there as it added to every bounce that much more. Misaki hopped off Michael's back, not allowing their slight lead to make her get cocky, she was already planning ahead. She was going to grab the flag but it was going to be up to Michael to get them down. Michael gave her verbal confirmation and immediately began assessing his task. She was clearly right that they couldn't just bound their way down back how they came up. When she suggested that they'd need to rocket away, this gave Michael an idea.
He wasn't able to expel gas out of himself in a way that would jettison them away, but he had another method in mind. While Misaki went for the flag, Michael prepared himself for their departure. Gripping onto the edge of the platform they stood on on, Michael began walking himself back, stretching his arms as he pulled further and further away from the edge. He gritted his teeth as he held himself as far back as he could here, ready to sling shot the two of them back across the gap down below.
Michael was unaware of what Misaki had to overcome to get the flag all that mattered was that she was running back to him with the flag in hand. "Jump on and hold tight!" Michael shouted back. The second he felt her arms, or legs, or whatever wrap around him, he kicked up his shoes and he and Misaki were rapidly pulled towards his hands gripping the edge. They shot off like a rubber band, hurdling through the air towards the ramp they had came from.

Tiptoeing Around the Risk
"Yeah... they kind of don't." Michael grimaced from the squeeze of the clothing. He had pushed them with his inflations before but this was hands down far more of a stretch than he had given them before. "My gym clothes were always designed to give way to allow for quick and bulging inflations, but this is giving the material too little to pull from." At least this gave Michael the clear first step for what to ask the engineering team for when it came to a super suit. He had been struggling with concepts for that and possible gadgets for a long time, so now that he had this, he could feel the ideas were beginning to form.
"I'm not really stronger... Like relatively, I guess yes, but its all comparative to my size. Like I'm 8 times bigger right now, but that doesn't make me 8 times stronger. Its more like, my strength is more... spread out. So I won't be knocking over buildings or anything, but I can probably carry and cover a bunch more of people from the collapsing building. The stronger and better I get with this form the more I should be able to do with it."
As Yoko asked about an off switch, Michael only just began to realize that it was more than just his clothing that was squeezing on him. His nerves were pinching and cramping up already and he began to feel dizzy from the overexertion.
No, not already... I've barely even moved and my body is already seizing on me...? No. I need to be strong for Yoko...
Michael pushed through the pain and dizziness as their professor flew up into view beside his head. Looking like a song bird beside him like this, Michael wasn't even sure if she had actually flown up here or if he was just seeing things through the exhaustion. "Th-Thank you Sensei." Michael tried to keep up the façade that he was pulling it off. He had to keep it together, otherwise what was the point of this form if it was so short-term and taxing.
Michael looked back down towards Yoko groggily. "It... doesn't really have much room for control yet. Like to maintain full body expansion and consistency, I can't really control much for how big I can go. Its pretty much an all or nothing right now. As for an off-switch..." That was the part that Michael was actually worried about now. Especially with how dizzying this was, he would need to deflate kind of slowly to avoid the chances of bubbling (deformation from way too much gas in one space because his body wasn't fully stretching with the gas) or burst from the expulsion of air happening too fast to control. "I... didn't think that far ahead..." Michael downplayed the concern.
Notes & Tags: Yanai Yoko , Lucille Arbogast , TLDR: Michael is already beginning to feel the negative blacklash from this technique as he tries to downplay it and explain it.

Raining Latex
Michael sighed out all of the air as cushion as the pair of heroes in training hit the ground. As he hoped, it appeared he hadn't been punctured by Khepri's nails and what more he had taken the impact of the fall and made it a soft landing for the both of them. As Khepri asked if they could open their eyes, Michael chuckled out in amusement and relief as the balloon scraps from the dozens or more balloons the pair had popped began raining down like snowflakes or cherry blossom petals.
"Yeah, you're good. We're on the ground." Michael was exhausted. That last maneuver was very draining and he just remained on the ground staring up to the sky as the latex fluttered down towards the ground at varying paces as they drifted and dragged through the air. Michael didn't really care too much what their pointage was going to look like. It was technically Khepri who popped the balloons, even if it was by his assistance. He had managed to build up a fair amount of points early on, so he didn't mind if they got all the points out of it. What they had pulled off was amazing.
Imagine how much more they could do as they grew closer and worked more fluently together. It made Michael smile to think of the possibilities that came from him being able to team up with people. He was as much of a team player as possible. But to see the results of that teamwork as apparently as this was had been truly inspiring.
The buzzer rang out to inform the competitors that the event was over and that points were being tallied up to announce the winner shortly.
Notes & Tags: Mafdet Khepri , TLDR: Michael lied on the ground in awe at the result of their teamwork. The event ends and are tallying the points. You can post and I'll post out the exit and submit this for grading now or next month to get you the full xp amount.

Michael Faraday
Tiptoeing Around the Risk
Now with his small friend relatively the size of a guinea pig or even a hamster, it wasn't exactly easy to spot her. It would be worse if she was moving around or in a crowd but he was able to assess her from just locking onto where she had been. More so than seeing her, hearing was clearly much harder in this state. In all the physical training and conditioning of his body, he hadn't thought of how much this form would affect his perception. Still he could make out most of what Yoko was saying as her voice was not exactly... subtle.
As Yoko circled him, it did prove to make it difficult to keep up with her visually. He didn't want to chance a misstep by moving around too much so it depended on him swiveling at his hips and neck to keep track of Yoko."I mean... it feels okay... a little disorienting... but okay... my clothes are a bit tight now..." He chuckled lightly, trying to tug some looseness in the constricting stretched fabric. "Since its an all over inflation... it feels less straining... I guess... It's like something being laid out on your whole body at once rather than a limb."
Michael quickly felt guilty from hiding his hard work. "Well... I haven't actually tried this out, just went through the body conditioning and theory... but in order to get myself prepared for this... I kind of.. pushed myself... a lot. Like putting myself through extreme pressurization for long periods of time..." Michael was tiptoeing around the fact that if he had messed up his training or has miscalculated this full body inflation for his technique, he likely would have blown off a limb at best. The gas compressing alone that he was holding for hours had him under such intense pressures that he gave himself the bends, or decompression sickness like a diver, for the first dozen or so times he was practicing it.
Notes & Tags: Yanai Yoko , Lucille Arbogast , TLDR: Michael struggles to perceive Yoko at this size. He tries to cover up just HOW dangerous and strenuous his training had been to pull this off while admitting he hadn't actually tested out the end result until just now

Round the World and Back to Earth
Michael looked up and watched in awe as Khepri went to town on the mass of balloons he had launched them into. Their claws slashing and stabbing through dozens of the balloons. The mass of balloons began to break apart from the impact and air flow of Khepri's leap into its center as well as the barrage on the latex inside. Even after slicing her way through a myriad of them, there was still a large amount left. However, this is when the gravity began to sink in, both on the situation as well as gravity itself.
Khepri was beginning to drop. Unhindered by the wind resistance as the balloons were, they began to drop rapidly back towards the ground. But in their own way, Khepri appeared to be unbothered or unaware of the danger of the drop. Michael wondered if their quirk also had some means of slowing their descent or preventing fall damage... after all they said jumping was their way of going plus ultra... right?
It was then Michael heard Khepri call out for him to catch. It didn't matter if they meant the balloons, Michael couldn't chance them getting hurt. Michael compressed himself down, lining himself up with some quick geometry, and launched himself like a rubber band right towards his new feline-like friend. As he began his ascent, Michael threw his right hand forward, swinging and stretching it ahead of himself to grab hold of Khepri. He had an idea to help solidify their lead in this competition. "Keep your other claws out and close your eyes!"
Continuing the momentum of his arm, now counterbalanced by the weight of Khepri, Michael continued to soar upwards and swing his companion through. Spinning himself in the air, he began whipping Khepri around like a yoyo at the end of a string, swinging them through the balloons in four shrinking rotations. With their claws out, Michael popped scores more of the balloons as he raked Khepri with these wide sweeping swings. Closing their eyes was more of a precaution to not get motion sick as he whipped them around with his rubbery arm, slowly reeling them back in. As Khepri was drawn closer in, Michael called out again. "Retract in your claws and hold tight!"
Michael took a big risk with this, not understanding his new friend's quirk enough to be sure, but he hoped at the very least they would not try to puncture him. Michael pulled Khepri the rest of the way in and wrapped his arms around them as they plummeted towards the ground. About 30 feet from impact, Michael suddenly inflated himself like a massive airbag, slamming into the ground and cushioning Khepri from the crash.
Notes & Tags: Mafdet Khepri , TLDR: Michael jumped up to catch Khepri. He then used their claws and whipped them through the balloons with his stretched arm as he reeled them back in. As they fell, Michael became an airbag to cushion their fall.
