"Of course," Saori responded with crinkling eyes. "I've simply been talking to too many old businessmen recently. They keep going on and on about all manner of boring things. Conversations like ours are like a balm upon the soul."
She was only half jesting when she said that. Truly, for all that the majority of her business associates had made their way up the ranks they still held on to so many of the same biases they had before she'd assisted their rise. Even so she was in no rush to correct most of them. Those flaws made for easy avenues to exploit and help 'guide' them in the direction she liked. Not to mention it gave her a rather steady stream of customers, for so many had risen beyond what they could handle and kept suffering from self-made problems over and over again. The power it gave her was nearly intoxicating. Alas, while it was droll it was equally mind-numbing in its repetition. Rome wasn't built in a day and a lapse in the size of the brickwork could cause the entire city to tumble down.
"Hmm, come to think of it I could go for some Katsudon as well," Saori added while tapping her chin as if deep in thought. "I'll bring both and we'll flip a coin to decide this weekend. Let's see whose luck holds out." Adding a wink at the end of her sentence she added just a bit of fuel to the fire. Well, the end result would be that Ruri would have more in her fridge so she couldn't be all too mad about it.
Besides, they'd be having Yosenabe on the day itself of course. Ruri had yet to catch on to the fact that she had a pair of coins with the same face on each side.

"Why, thank you." A hand on her chest and a slight widening of her eyes purposefully reinforced the sincerity of her response to Buzzard's compliment. Moving her wings just enough to have them shimmer again she continued. "It's almost embarrassing to admit I made it myself. If you like it I'm sure I could make you an outfit as well."
When Hymn first made his entrance Saori angled her wings slightly so they almost formed a canopy of sorts, the stiff upper parts creating a slight bend to the shimmering fabric rearing back. Protective without being restrictive. That was the intent. A subconscious message that Saori would have their back and if they had to take a step back she'd be there for them.
She was much too interested in seeing how the people present here would handle Hymn to intervene personally. Unless things took a turn for the worse Saori was perfectly content with simply observing everyone's reactions. The goal here was to foster connections after all, not insert herself into the spotlight, and nothing quite unites people like a common enemy.
Accepting Nobu's drink with a smile Saori took a certain amount of joy in the fact that she owned something that could be considered a corporation and had paid for the drinks that way. Seeing that the group had found a certain unison of opinion in their response to Hymn's comments The Weaver decided to capitalize on the opportunity. Offering a toast to Raiden's comment Saori aimed an appreciative nod his way before she began to speak.
"Since we're all sharing intel I'll elaborate on my specialties as well. But first, introductions. For any who may not know me yet, I am known as The Weaver. My specialties lie in information gathering, ensuring fellow vigilantes can succeed in ambitious endeavours through connecting them to like-minded individuals -case in point, the current party- and attaining the required resources. Should any of you be in need of advice, equipment or weaponry I'd be more than happy to assist."
Pulling out the phone specially prepared for her Weaver persona Saori used the infrared function to share her number with any takers.
"Sparkle. I shall make inquiries into the matter and see what I can find." Keeping Ruri's attention on finding one of her own alter egos was much safer than the alternatives after all. "In the meantime, perhaps hiring members of a certain cafe to look into the matter might not be a bad idea either." With a subtle head tilt Saori directed Sparkle's attention to Lion. Troublemakers though they might be she still doubted they'd get her in any serious danger.
Making sure to keep up with the situation Saori kept her ear on the pulse. Her job was mostly done here, the vigilantes seemed to be associating with each other well enough, but she wouldn't count her chickens before they'd hatched. No, Saori would do her best to ensure these connections were fostered sufficiently to pay off in the long run.

"Perhaps I just wanted to hear you speak some more," Saori joked while resting her chin on the back of her hand. No matter what life threw at her Ruri always remained so animated. It was a simplicity that would bore Saori in anyone else yet always remained so interesting when it came to Ruri. Perhaps it was the unique blend of untarnished innocence and optimism mixed into a package that had seen some of the lowest parts of the world that she so admired. Yes, it was a personality that was complex in its simplicity. Easy to manage yet with so much depth one could discover another facet every day. It truly kept things lively.
Accepting the hug with a warm smile Saori patted Ruri's back as she did.
"Of course you can, Ru-chan."
While she preferred to save it for special moments Saori too had adopted Ruri's naming scheme, albeit she'd chosen to use her first name instead of her last. It had been a purposeful choice, both to ease her through the loss of her parents and to facilitate an easier transition into the Yugure family. Besides, she could hardly call her Ka-chan, now could she? That would be quite the silly nickname.
"Wonderful, I knew you could handle it." Reaching out as Kawahara leaned over the table Saori patted her head with a gentle smile. "Of course? Do you have time this weekend? I'll bring the hot pot, what would you like to eat?"

"An excellent choice," The Weaver responded, "nature has much to draw lessons from." She had heard of Buzzard before. It hadn't been all too long since the woman had drawn her attention but she'd recently made contact with someone else that Saori had been keeping an eye on. "I'm honored. I suppose I'll have to live up to the praise then, no?" A crinkle around her eyes accompanied her words, softening her expression just enough to look almost motherly.
The arms within the wings of Saori's costume raised and slowly swept them outwards, physically including Spectre in their conversation as she approached, with a languid and unhurried movement that almost seemed to have started before Yoru had even made the decision to approach them.
"The pleasure is all mine, Spectre, it heartens me to hear you're enjoying yourself." The Weaver responded with a small bow accompanied by another movement of her second pair of arms, one that seemed to flare her wings out behind her theatrically like a cape or stage curtains. As she continued speaking her shimmering wings returned to their place once more to reveal Sparkle's approach.
Had she not known the girl better she'd have suspected the pajamas to be a reference to the secret parts of her own quirk. "A wonderful thought, Sparkle." The Weaver responded with a warm smile. "But I'm afraid I can't invite anyone not in the know. I'm sure it won't be necessary though. Certainly she'll be able to tell how well you're doing."
Saori was confident she wouldn't need to rely on her sister's acting skills to sell the lie. Ruri truly had not seen through her disguise and if anything her reaction would serve to discredit any suspicions anyone else present might harbor should they meet one of her other identities.
Her wings flapped softly behind her once more, the glimmer within them almost seeming like tiny arcs of lightning. When the flap ended they were spread just a bit more openly than before, subtly widening their circle to welcome another arrival.
"Nice to meet you too, Raiden." Elegantly turning her head by a few degrees The Weaver drew attention to a nearby table. "I believe we have a bottle over there." The table in question was a tall and slender one with a concave leg at the center and a circular tabletop atop which several expensive looking bottles were placed, one of which was presently being downed by a vigilante with a messy blonde ponytail and a samurai costume. "Shall we?" She asked with an arm gesture while taking the first step. As she did so her wings flapped once more, their spread subtly enticing the group to move in the same direction lest they have to step around them to depart.
"How are you all finding the party?"

Through one channel or the other a peculiar invitation had made its way to a wide variety of vigilantes. One to a Halloween party of all things. Costumes mandatory, masks optional. The perpetrator behind these invitations was none other than The Weaver, an enigmatic figure that had been operating behind the scenes for years. The four-armed informant was present in person today, two of her arms worked into the wings of her moth costume and slowly flapping them behind her. They shimmered slightly whenever they caught the light. Just subtle enough that it might simply be a trick of the eye, keeping people wondering and distracted from other matters Saori didn’t want them to look at too closely.
"Welcome, friends, future acquaintances and fellow seekers of justice. Tokyo has faced a great many dangers as of late but today is a day for rest. A day to mingle, make connections and strengthen bonds. But above all it is a time to unwind, for a bow cannot remain drawn forever without shattering. Let loose. Partake in drinks and food. Above all enjoy yourselves. You have earned it."
Finishing her impromptu speech with a toast Saori mingled with those present within the venue. An underground garage with plenty of cover, food and drinks arrayed on a variety of tables and nearly a dozen entrances and exits. All with a floor plan that was available online in official records. For The Weaver knew as well as any that a healthy dose of paranoia and properly prepared exit plans were crucial in their line of work. Not that she was expecting any problems today of course, but habits are like ropes, a thread of which is woven each day until finally they become unbreakable. Besides, it was always better to be safe than sorry.

"Of course, how could I forget?" Saori said while shaking her head in mock shame. She’d heard a fair bit about Yoko from her source at UAU as well. Pretty, nice and with a powerful blue quirk. Saori was still working out the nuances of that last part but from what she knew the young woman seemed trustworthy enough. She’d still be making further inquiries of course but it’d far from be a priority. There were a great many others in the area she had far less intel on.
Squinting to read the email Saori only narrowly managed to parse its contents through the cracks and the shaking. "Wonderful. I knew you'd be able to handle it," Saori responded with a warm smile. Opening a drawer in her desk the sound of crinkling plastic could be heard before she pulled out a bag of cookies. "That reminded me, I received a pack of animal crackers from a client recently," Saori lied as easily as she breathed. She'd bought the pack herself exactly for this occasion. "Care for some?"
A soft ping in the background announced that the kettle she'd put on finished boiling at just the right time as well. Bringing it, two cups and an assortment of flavors over Saori briefly eyed the various kinds before picking out a bag of Osmanthus tea for herself and offering the ornate wooden box to Ruri. Only once they'd settled in and had a moment to enjoy the tea did she continue.
"Has the BroadJaw hero agency made any additional inquiries regarding the construction of their large-scale jungle gym since we last met?"

"I'm afraid so," Saori answered with a genial smile and an understanding nod. Adding a mischievous wink she refrained from elaborating whether she was answering whether it was necessary or a prank.
As always Ruri's tales were so outlandish they'd be hard to believe if she hadn't seen many such things happen before with her own eyes. It was almost like she was a magnet for disaster.
"Yo-chan? Who is- No, before that. A bus? Are you alright?" She asked with furrowed brows, refraining from commenting on the other matters.
"I see. Do you roughly remember how it went? Anything that stood out as particularly worrisome?" Saori prodded while picking up a pen, already making plans to track down the papers and retrieve them. It wouldn't do for them to fall into the wrong hands and cause the firm to be implicated in corporate espionage after all.
"There was that petting zoo in Suginama too, correct? Do you believe they'll be able to open on schedule?"
Saori had already checked and double checked everything of course but she was quite interested in hearing her sister's opinion. She herself hadn't visited the location after all and reports could be misleading. It wouldn't be the first time one of their clients had left out data to make themselves look better.

"Take a seat, Ruri." Saori said with a gentle smile and a wave towards the chair on the other side of her desk. With Labor Thanksgiving Day having arrived it was time for their yearly performance review once more. "Nervous?" She jested with a wink. They'd known each other long enough that it was hardly necessary but emotions were rarely rational.
"How have you been recently?" Saori asked before getting into the meat of the matter. Spinning a pen between her fingers she attentively listened to Ruri's reply and nodded along where appropriate. The woman never ceased to be a font of interesting events so Saori was most curious what she'd been up to. But she digressed. Opening the folder in front of her she flipped through a few pages until she got to what she was looking for.
"Well then, let's get started," She continued in a mock serious tone while tapping one entry on the page. "The safety analysis and risk management evaluation of the Yoshimitsu Corporation's new fisheries."
