Taking a sip from his coffee, he attentively watched the footage. A common occurrence, license tests, so many students eager to prove their worth and rushing headlong into becoming a hero that they often lose sight on what was important. A license wasn’t everything, and to Max’s own frustration he had seen way too many young heroes getting their licenses too early and not being able to handle the responsibility they took on. They were always technically sound, significantly more capable than Max had been at their age, but the mental aspect was often underestimated, and the tests tended to be poor at detecting the ones that struggled under the pressure. Sure, the tests had pressure, but when real lives or livelihoods weren’t at stake, it was a lot easy to simply ignore it all. But sometimes there was more at play, exterior pressures pushing them forward, someone with all the good intentions, all the skill, but whose mind was elsewhere. ”You’re seeing what we saw, yes?” They asked him, nursing their cup of tea calmly but with a noted worry on their voice. ”What’s there to see, she flunked the test.” He replied in a deliberately obtuse manner, enjoying the coffee. “She’s distracted, unfocused. It’s been there, but since the start of the year it has gotten worse.” they explained. It helped fill the gaps Max couldn’t know, having only started at U.A. at the start of the semester. He knew the family name of the young woman, the Ando family were famed for their craftsmanship all across the world. But his knowledge ended there. Glancing over the desk, he stayed aloof. ”Sounds to me she needs sessions with the school counsellor, yeah?” they suggested, again avoiding the unspoken question. “She’s tried that, it’s different. We’d like it if you were to talk to her, maybe a new approach will work better. Debrief her, try to talk her through what went wrong… Maybe take her under your wing?” They proposed, the last question being made all the more cautiously. Max couldn’t help but laugh at the proposition, he was not in the position to be a mentor to anybody when nobody even knew who he was. ”I’m not the right person to mentor anybody right now, chief. With all due respect, I’m not sure if I am the right person to even be a teacher.” he’d say with a laugh, sounding increasingly incredulous. Perhaps it was disrespectful to mention the latter to the person who had hired him in the first place, the person who had offered him this chance when he had burnt so many bridges in the past. He wasn’t a people person, not for a lack of trying, but due to an excess of demanding the excessive standards he demanded of himself. But the humour wasn’t reciprocated, and Max’s smile quickly departed his face again as he understood how serious the request was for it to end up with him. ”I’ll do it, but don’t look at me when I end up making the problems worse.” he’d finally relent, finishing his coffee. ”You owe me more of this coffee for this, though.” he’d smile… He probably needed all of it… Masao Ando

Strapping in his combat boots, Max smiled a little as that familiar sense of comfort washed over him. The process of getting ready for a patrol, the little minutiae that went into making sure that everything was just right, and an outfit that was optimally designed to fit him and him only. It was basically like stepping into pajamas, they simply ‘fit’ and were perfectly snug and protective to the point that he trusted the creators of his combat gear implicitly that it would simply do its job perfectly when it was needed, whilst never having to notice it was there. Finally it was the headgear which initialized itself with a basic diagnostic routine, presenting a few practice targets around him which were followed by dry shots from his rifle, to ensure that it was responding exactly right. Like every time he did this, it just worked, craftsmanship perfected and refined. “Onna, you ready?” He’d call out at who would be his patrol partner today. Patrols with first time combinations were always an adventure on their own, whilst he tried to stay stoic, it did fill him with a genuine sense of excitement. Sure, he appreciated like no other the finer points of implicative communication that could only come from hundreds of combined patrols, but new comrades presented ways to self-improve, to shave-away that complacency and go back to the basics. Besides, he wanted to see what their partner was all about, someone who by reputation was a hero that they would enjoy working with, someone who cared about keeping things on the straight and narrow and didn’t see their abilities and commission as an excuse to do whatever the hell they felt like. On top of that, they were fellow faculty, it was doubly the chance to learn to work with a new hero, as well as gauging one of their U.A. colleagues. Tag: Shirayuki Mai

If teaching was his job, then patrolling had effectively become his hobby in the months that he had moved to Japan. It was a sense of ‘normalcy’ in what he felt had become a very abnormal life, at least for somebody that was effectively married to his job to the detriment of most things outside of said job. But patrolling the street was a sense of zen, it was something he was good at and had been doing for more years than he hadn’t. It had become such an ingrained part of his routine, that not doing it made him restless and stir-crazy. And whilst teaching the next generation of heroes was something he should feel more pride in, it was his work first as a law enforcer and then as a pro hero that made him actually prideful… … It also helped him hopefully ingratiate himself with the locals, show them that there were heroes on the streets, ones that actually bothered to keep the city in one shape if they could so help it… …And there was no better than to actually do something good for people, again, teaching heroes was helping the future, but the here and now deserved his attention too. “So I suggest, if you want to have a good future for yourself, to actually go learn a vocation instead of stealing from working people.” Max said gruffly in his ever-so-improving Japanese, with still a pretty heavy French accent running through to make it confusing to people. A duo of youngsters, probably about the same age as his students, had figured they could simply use their quirks to terrorize a convenience store owner into giving them money. Whilst he knew that there still were Yakuza roaming in the shadows, these two were simply too dumb to even be in the running to work for those. Max figured they had been the types to fall through the cracks of society, and with a powerful quirk they could feel good about themselves as well as ‘provide’… But if there was one thing that pissed him off, it were people that figured that just because they had it bad it gave them a license to simply ignore every lifeline and make their own laws. “You’re still young enough, there’s plenty of places that would hire you if you applied yourself…” Max added as a police car showed up to take them away. With the crooks and cops out of sight, he tipped his head to the shopkeeper before continuing on. At least, until his systems detected some sort of hurried movement, someone running away holding a handbag, as well as being chased down by a group of people wielding blunt weapons. Neither seemed victims at a glance, but he made sure to put an extra zip into his step as he made his way to an intersect point. ”I didn’t expect a student to still be working out four hours after the last class, so my curiosity got the better of me.” He’d dryly retort. One of those little things he was learning about since coming to U.A., the students were a different breed. People liked to use that concept loosely, almost jokingly. But U.A. students truly were on a different level, compared to when he got his license well into his thirties, there were first years that in terms of ability and talent were well ahead of the curve than he ever had been. He was certain there were students at U.A. that in a straight fight would probably beat him, and that scared him greatly. Not that he was afraid of getting beat, but such unfathomable power was being handled young men and women that were barely of drinking age, with no experience and little training to keep it from unravelling when things didn’t go as planned. ”Max Deveraux, or ‘Lawbringer’ if you want to be official.” he’d greet back to the second year. ”And yes, I started this semester, maybe you’ll wind up in one of my classes at some point.” he’d answer further. Although most of his classes were partially opt-in, and things that most people tended to actively avoid. Heroes in training liked the part where they’d get to smash things, or flex their powers… Rather than having to internalize the finer points about ethics and law. ”How long have you been wielding a sword?” he’d ask somewhat bluntly, which could easily be construed as an interrogation. ”I’m not a swordsman myself, but it seems… official, like you’ve learned it before you gained your quirk?” he’d add. The truth was, he had glossed over most students’ files and had a general idea of who they were and what they could do, it was a level of due diligence he felt was required to ensure he could actually give the students the right tutelage if needed… … But he still preferred to hear their own stories. enma

Letting out a laboured sigh, Max slowly peeled the athletic tape off his shoulder, the skin stretching at where a gnarly scar had once put his durability to the test. If he had been anybody else, if his quirk had been slightly too slow, it would’ve probably ended his hero career or at the best left him a one-armed fighter. The grace of an expect surgeon had given his durability a chance to do its magic just in time. It was a reminder that for how tough he was, he wasn’t invincible. Like the many scars littering him, every one of them a close call that probably shouldn’t have been so close. It was youthful arrogance, a blind faith in his quirk to do the deal, and a dogged determination to be the last person standing in every fight, regardless of the cost… Now it meant that he spent most of his exercise time keeping those parts of his body in working condition between painful stretches and equally unpleasant rehab exercises that had become second nature. … Now the locker closed for the evening, he had put on a clean shirt and a tracksuit and slung his bag across… his other shoulder. Letting himself walk out of the U.A. Gym that made every other gym look like a dump. Despite it being the time that most people would’ve turned in for the day, U.A. was one of those places where there were usually others working out after hours. Between faculty like him, and students that either felt like they had to push themselves to keep up with the rest, or ones that had to distract themselves from something else. And sometimes, the errant sheep that simply had an excess of anger and energy that they needed to get out of their system. And so he parked himself at the door of one of the gymnasiums, state-of-the-art opportunities ranging from simple gymnastics to live training exercises with bots that pulled their punches just enough to not straight up kill you. Enma Arashi was busy taking it out on those bots with a level of aggression ill-befitting a student, let alone a wannabe hero. Max had all the time to walk in, not being noticed in the flurry of action, and take a seat. It was an impressive amount of minutes that they kept it up, with an ending that had been obvious from the start, if not for the seemingly insurmountable odds. ”Your technique is sound, but you need to stop tensing when you strike… ” Max added as a most likely unwanted suggestion, he grabbed one of the bottles next to the bench and tossed it at the second year. ”By tensing up you’re wasting energy both in yourself and your swing.” he added. He wasn’t experienced with swords per say, but had worked with plenty of heroes that were. And despite their attempts to teach them, some of their teachings had stuck throughout the years. enma

There was little in Max’s experience that could scare him, he had faced so many dangers and somehow walked away through the grace of his quirk that no beating could make him deathly afraid. He had burnt so many bridges in the past, that making the wrong impressions and not being liked by people was also hardly something that troubled him. But standing in front of a class of students to actually teach them something, for some reason that had spiked his heart-rate higher than his post-wake workout. And it had caused his brain to merely go into autopilot as he prepared for his first lecture, where everyone’s eyes were locked onto him, and where everyone expected him to actually teach them something that they will bother to remember. He knew how he had been as a young man, ruthless and self-confident to a fault. Always knowing better than anybody else in the room. So here he was, with the task of not having others be the thing he had been. “Welcome students…” he’d say, stifling the tremble of that nervous student inside of him who had to give their first essay. He’d scribble notes in a notepad if only to keep him from simply doing nothing. “Most of you won’t know me, but my name Maximilian Deveraux. You’re all free to call me Max, or Mr. Deveraux, or go by my hero name ‘Lawbringer’.” he’d say, as he went into the usual boring explanation of who he was and where he had come from. It was all so uninteresting, that he wouldn’t blame any student from checking out already. ”I will start the start of this course not with answers, but with a question. And that question is ‘What makes a hero different?’… I expect your interpretation on that at the end of this course.” he explained, being as vague as he could be. He’d face the board, digital and modern, and flicked something on a tablet to splay it on it for the students to see. ”In this course you won’t learn how to best stop a villain, or how to best defuse an emergency situation... Instead you will learn something else entirely, and that is the ethics that concerns being a hero.” he’d explain, glancing back at the students with a stoic smile. “I can assure you, this will be the most boring course you will have to complete all year, but please bear with me.” he’d say, slightly joking, but he figured the joke would be lost. He’d turn around to the lectern, placing down the tablet. “In this room I know everyone here has the potential to become a hero. But the question is that you can be a hero. Because every action you will take will have an effect on society, from saving lives to shaping the opinions of society regarding the work that each of us does.
Because whilst some heroes would imagine they have a bigger job in life than to understand the consequences of their actions, your actions shape every following one. And whilst not every choice you will have to make will be a moral dilemma, each of you, if you end up a hero, will one day face a tough choice.” he’d finish for a second by letting a few slides with some obvious dilemmas scroll past. ‘Let a killer go free to save lives, even if it means they could kill again?’‘Stop someone with good intentions, if their actions inadvertently hurt innocents?’‘Is it acceptable to kill somebody who the justice system cannot stop?’He’d let it all sink in as he took a sip from a glass of water, if only to gauge the interest in the room, which unsurprisingly ranged from overwhelmed to uninterested and anything in between… Philosophy, if always, was a realm that few felt like wading in too long. He’d instead pull out his license card. ”With this, you will gain an authority that few of us have, and fewer can handle correctly. The choices you’ll make, The way you’ll conduct yourself, will make the difference between being what a hero is supposed to be, or being nothing better than a vigilante.” he’d finish his monologue putting his license away, noticing that a few students had already lapsed fully. Checking his student fact-book, he saw a name he recognized in there. Julienne Lémieux, who he figured was as good a choice as anyone to address. ”Miss. Lémieux, I assume you’re already ahead of the rest of the class, since you’re busy lecturing them further on this topic?” he’d say, his eyes locked onto her as he scribbled some notes about her and the other disinterested ones in his notebook. ”Maybe you can enlighten the rest of us further. In your own opinion, what is the difference between a pro hero and a vigilante? Would you agree that vigilantism undermines the work of Law Enforcement, Heroes, and the Justice System they serve? Or do you perhaps have a dissenting opinion?” he’d ask, dryly without apparent spite. But the fact that the young lady’s parents had been vigilantes made it even easier to put her in the spotlight. Julienne Lémieux

If anybody ever accused Max of being an unfun stick in the mud, they would be a thousand percent correct. Even though he had given some attempts to be friendly and outgoing in the many places he’s been, he was equally prone to letting friendships dry up out of a lack of personal care towards others. Being friendly with colleagues he worked with daily, that was easy, it was practically an extension of work; but following that up when he wasn’t on the clock, or sticking his neck out to spend time with others on his own volition as well as his one time, that was something he was frustratingly bad at. But new places bred new opportunities, that small vain hope in the back of his mind that this new environment would suddenly see a different Max, one that would use the cold reminders of the past to change his ways and step into the light of a new life. When he gotten his first opportunity, a Halloween party, he had naturally not taken that opportunity until the absolute very last minute, if only because he really didn’t want to start off his tenure at U.A. being ‘that guy’. As a hero, being distant was one thing, as a teacher he probably had more of a responsibility to actually be part of something greater than himself. That was ultimately the trick, turn a festivity into a job, the objective to ingratiate himself amongst his fellow staff and maybe one time not being the hardass. … Also, costumes were mandatory… … It took more than a tiny bit of motivation to push himself into being ‘fun’. Dressing up as a slasher villain, the irony of such a choice lost on him, he had merely picked whatever the bored woman at the counter suggested was ‘hip’. Yes, he was a forty-five year old that still needed people to dress him. Another fact that was lost on him. … Also he was late to the party, which undoubtedly was a great way to ingratiate himself with others. And furthermore a personal frustration that he’d let himself flake in such a way. A dry and overly suppressed “Hi.” was the only thing that escaped from behind the mask, his eyes darted around the room, and he quickly chose the ‘safe’ option of instantly making his way to the open bar. The fact he was both the new guy on campus, as well as hidden under a mask probably didn’t help being recognized. But deep inside he didn’t hate the idea if the entire night was spent in a corner nursing a single drink. He LOVED wine, and therefor he avoided them like they were poisoned. The chauvinist Frenchman in him both afraid that the wines would not be up to his standards, and also afraid that they did… So a brand of beer that he had never seen before became the choice.

In terms of Max’s personality, the best way to describe him is ‘intense’. He is a man of concentration and discipline, whose upbringing have further hammered home the constant need to be driven in his goals as well as honest in the means of attaining them. This made him a natural law enforcer, as well as a hero, his sense of justice never faltering and constantly trying to achieve stability in his surroundings. But it has its darkside, because that stern rigid sense of justice goes both ways, and he is heavily intolerant of anybody that does not follow the rules to their fullest extent. He struggles to deal with concepts of ‘greater good’ if it means bending the rules let alone the law, this further extends to unspoken rules as well as dealing with people who have not adhered to the law as it is written. It has often caused significant friction between him and peers, leadership, as well as people in his life. It has also effectively caused him to be a ‘freelancer’, and never cause him to stay in one place for significant periods of his life. For he more than likely overstays his welcome with his unyieldingly rigid attitude, and has made it hard for him to hold onto relations and friendships on the long term. But despite all that, he is equally unyieldingly brave, whilst he ill tolerates ‘cowboy’ attitudes, he will still put his life on the line for everybody in danger, and will effectively keep fighting until he is physically incapable of continuing. For better and worse, he is the shining example of a law upholder, if not a hero. [attr="class","body"]
[attr="class","header2"]APPEARANCE » HEIGHT: 6ft3 » WEIGHT: 340lbs » EYE COLOR: Blue » HAIR COLOR: White-Gray (Formerly black) » SKIN COLOR: European-Caucasian » FACE CLAIM NAME: Soldier 76 » FACE CLAIM SERIES: Overwatch Max is a tall and athletically built individual with sharp blue eyes and a head of strikingly grayed out hair, which is not unusual for someone his age, but has been a fact since his late twenties. He looks somewhat older and more weathered than most healthy people in their forties, which is a side-effect of his quirk’s regenerative abilities causing visual aging to be more pronounced, whilst physically he is still in the middle of his prime. Other notable physical traits are the scars that litter his body, from injuries that not even his impressive quirk could perfectly fix, with the most pronounced one being a deep scar across his face as well as major scarring across his chest. Out in the field, he is easily recognized for his futuristic looking outfit. Wearing specialized headgear with lit up visor that hides everything below his forehead, as well as body armour of which the colours are inspired by the French flag. Outside of combat he tends to wear clothing that belies his militaristic upbringing, with shirts, cargo pants, and military style jackets not being out of the ordinary for him. [attr="class","body"]
[attr="class","header2"]HISTORY Born in Marseille, France. Maximillian (Max) Deveraux has known little else than an excessively strict upbringing. His father a former military man, he drilled Max from the moment his son could walk and talk. Teaching him the importance of being honest, being disciplined, as well as constantly striving for perfection as well as following if not upholding society’s rules, it has led to Max becoming near enough obsessed with those traits, to the point of detriment. And to the point of bringing his father to justice the day he realized his father had been assisting in smuggling to help him raise his family. A betrayal that had a lasting impression on Max, as well as further cementing his ‘the law is the law’ attitude. After high school, Max applied to the local police academy, in combination with his quirk he quickly rose the ranks and was admitted to the French GIGN tactical police forces, receiving the training befitting the expertise. He spent over a decade putting himself in danger to uphold the law and protect the citizens of France. Having grown weary, as well as his attitude preventing achieving a higher rank, he receives a honourable discharge and becomes a pro hero around his thirty-second birthday, being given the hero name “Lawbringer” by his peers for his unsurprising obsession with upholding the law, as well as his history as a police officer. As a Hero in Europe, he joins a EU-focused hero agency that operates across the entirety of the European Union, which is additionally helpful due to his abrasive personality making it a near requirement to constantly be on the move lest he antagonises other heroes that do not share his excessively rigid demands for heroics. But he still operates with distinction, although he more so attains infamy (for his attitude), rather than fame for his exploits. Even during his highlights, the focus lies more on the fact that he has spent more time moving from station to station rather than the good he has done. Disillusioned, he becomes a freelance hero and travels the globe, finding himself experiencing short tenures in most places he goes, it at least gives him a sense of the world as well as teaching him many different languages as well as cuisines, if not helping uphold the law in some of the most lawless places in the world, in between butting heads with peers as well as superiors. After about thirteen years as a hero, he has eventually landed himself in the centre of hero society, Japan. Where his experience, as well as partially his sense of justice he has found himself being accepted as a teacher at the most prestigious hero school in the world, U.A. Academy. Naturally, not comfortable with only needing to herd a bunch of peppy students with attitudes bigger than their talents, he additionally operates as a pro hero in the greater area, where, unsurprisingly, he is quickly growing the same reputation of being a rigid stickler for the letter of the law. [attr="class","body"]
[attr="class","header2"]ITEMS [attr="class","body"]
[attr="class","header2"]QUIRK QUIRK NAME: Extreme Durability QUIRK RANK: A+ QUIRK TYPE: Mutation QUIRK DESCRIPTION: Max’s body is almost steel-like in nature, whilst still retaining most of the normal properties it has extremely high durability and seems to be nigh-impenetrable by ordinary means. Whilst it’s not truly impenetrable (as shown by the litany of scars on him), it does mean that he is extremely hard to wound by ordinary means, and has a tolerance for punishment that has given the informal nickname of “The French Cockroach”. Effectively this means that in a fight, he tends to be the last to fall, one to get up even after going through otherwise horrifying beatdowns, and still be up to keep fighting even if they are vastly outmatched, outnumbered, or just straight up outfought. Whilst it has never been truly put to the test, in terms of pure hardiness he might be up there with some of the strongest heroes, even though the rest of his abilities does not remotely compare. To make it even worse for whoever fights him, his body has seemingly adapted to the punishment by making him recover faster than expected too, and whilst he can’t grow back lost limbs, his hardy constitution means he can still come back from what would’ve killed many others. His body’s increased regenerative abilities also means that his physical prime is likely to extend into his mid-late fifties. Lastly, his strengthened body is also much heavier than an ordinary body, it gives him some natural weight behind his punches, but it comes with more negatives than positives. Like a cockroach, he somehow finds a way to keep going. Notes: - His quirk replaces his vitality and durability attributes, at least as long as his quirk isn’t actively being suppressed. - His strength being boosted by his quirk is a narrative distinction, it doesn’t replace his strength attribute. QUIRK DRAWBACKS: But his quirk is not without some drawbacks. Firstly, his metabolism runs on hyperspeed and requires a near constant amount of sustenance and iron-rich food to keep him healthy, he runs a near constant caloric deficit and if he were to consume normal meals he would have to consume a horrifyingly large amount of food just to not pass out from anemia… Fortunately this is managed by ultra-dense high-caloric ‘foodstuff’ designed purely for sustenance, with zero respect for taste. Likewise when his body is in recovery, the energy needs go up significantly, and depending on how much punishment his body has to recover, he might be completely useless and has to be assisted by others just to stop his body from deteriorating too hard under the strain. Like mentioned, his body is exceedingly strong but it is not impenetrable, his insides are equally strong but not immune to internal injury or bleeding, and in the case of heavy internal bleeding he is in real danger of dying if there’s not something sharp enough nearby to allow experts to operate on him. Finally, his quirk has little offensive merit. His extra weight is one advantage in a fistfight, as he has some genuinely freakish power behind his punches, but swimming is extremely hard (he’ll just sink like a stone), and he is at times in danger of breaking the things he sits, lies, or stands on just by sheer weight alone. [attr="class","header2"]EQUIPMENT EQUIPMENT NAME: D.A.D. (Data Analysis Device) EQUIPMENT RANK: B EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURER: Unknown EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTION: As part of his equipment package is specialized headgear which provides a real time tactical display as well as active auditory and visual analysis of his surroundings. Whilst it doesn’t give him perfect omni-presence, it does provide significant strategical advantages out in the field to help him stay in tune with the situation, and both assist him offensively (ex: it is connected to his weapons to provide ballistic analysis) whilst also let him understand a situation and make calculated decision based on the information. Other advantages that DAD brings is the ability to enhance his sight, allowing him to see further, as well as have multiple tactical overlays including thermal and night-vision to increase his sight in other ways. It is a vital part of his combat effectiveness. DAD is made for combat, so is sturdy, but nowhere near as sturdy as Max is himself. So in particularly heavy fights or prolonged engagements it might simply not be able to hang on long enough. EQUIPMENT NAME: K.E.D.U. (Kinetic Energy Delivery Unit) EQUIPMENT RANK: B EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURER: Unknown EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTION: A major part of his arsenal is the K.E.D.U., an advanced rifle that fires kinetic blasts at whatever is aimed at. As an energy based weapon, it dispenses controlled blasts of energy at whatever target it is aimed at. This (mostly) prevents open wounds and bleeding, whilst ensuring it will effectively take down criminals in a less-than-lethal fashion, either through knockout potential, or merely wearing out the target with repeated hits. Whilst it is designed as a non-lethal device, the reality is that it’s still a weapon that dispenses blasts of kinetic energy, and if used incorrectly it can still endanger individuals that get hit by the energy blasts. Whilst the user can manually adjust the power of the kinetic blasts that the weapon delivers, it also interfaces with DAD which will provide it real time analysis of a target, and automatically adjust blasts based on active assessments, ensuring optimal operations. [attr="class","header2"]SKILLS SKILL NAME: Marksmanship SKILL RANK: C+ SKILL DESCRIPTION: A member of French GIGN in his younger days, Max has received significant marksmanship training to ensure that whatever weapon he handles is used in an optimal way. He is equally capable at longer ranges as a marksman, as well as handle firearms in close quarters. SKILL NAME: Hand-to-Hand Combat SKILL RANK: C+ SKILL DESCRIPTION: On top of his skills with firearms, he has also received plenty of training to fight with his fists. Whilst he knows various combatives, he tends to return to regular old fisticuffs when it boils down to it, knowing that the power of his punches are what drives results, he somewhat rigidly eschews flashier fighting styles. [attr="class","header2"]FLAVOR SKILLS
(i.e. the stuff that doesn’t add mechanical benefit, but is fun to mention) SKILL NAME: Omni-linguist SKILL DESCRIPTION: Having worked both as a law enforcer and a hero in differing capacities the world over, Max has had a knack for learning different languages to help integrate easily within new environments. As a result aside from his native fluidity of the French language, he is also fluid in English, Italian, German, Chinese, and Japanese. As well as having proficiency in a litany of other languages. SKILL NAME: Cooking SKILL DESCRIPTION: Whilst he mostly has to sustain himself with bland uninspired caloric ‘foodstuff’, he still has a deep passion for the finer art of cooking. He might not be a star chef, he can whip up a dizzying array of delicious dishes that will at least add some enjoyment to eating. If you ever catch him cooking, though, he’ll have to kill you to keep this secret (lest everyone wants him to make mealboxes for them) SKILL NAME: Football (aka. Soccer) SKILL DESCRIPTION: As a born and raised Frenchman, it would only make sense that he’d play football in his youth, and the passion has never stopped. Whilst he’s otherwise stoic and stern, challenging him to a game of football will awaken a fiery confidence in him that will only end if he has beaten you. (and the inability to win will only drive him to keep challenging until he does).
