Getting something for free is nice and all, but there needs to be a chase. There needs to be a feeling of accomplishment. It's not satisfying to have everything handed to you on a silver platter all the time.

"Good question! Gooder question: Why wouldn't you?" he smirked, hitting her with the double finger guns.

"Now like it or not, you—for some ungodly reason-love me, Ki-tan~! Why, if you were a bit more honest about your feelings, we'd probably be together by now! I mean, after all, you are my perfect woman: rich. Ah, but that's ancient history—life is a series of closing doors, eh, Ki-tan~?" he continued, waving at her with a dismissive wag of his hand. "True answer is that you do care, and I am going to prove it."

He stood up from his seat with a big grin on his face, walked over to her side and turned around.

"Check it out."

He lifted his shirt and revealed a large square bandage covering the lower right side of his back. Blood had leaked through and dried up all along the adhesive.

"I was wearing my penguin suit—y'know the one—walking on over to this here bar, and BAM! Criminal tried to mug me. Stabbed me right in the lower back! Oh and just the other day I was at the skatepark, and I wandered right into the middle of an arms deal. Crazy, right? I got shot at, there were grenades, and y'know how it goes with those things," he nodded, as if these were all very normal occurrences in his life.

He let his shirt go to cover the wound before walking back on over to his seat. He propped his elbows up onto the table and rested his chin on his interlocked fingers. He batted his eyes at her and put on a faux-innocent smile. "You know me, Ki-tan~! I never did get into trouble like this when I was still living with my parents. Why, it's hard to get into trouble when you never leave your room...But now I'm out in society again! You know how crazy this world is! You also know how prone I am to stumbling into danger. Remember back in school during that emergency? Y'know the one. The whole school was getting evacuated, and I wasn't paying attention, so I ended up going to the cafeteria and getting a smoothie. Hah! Classic Sebastian."

[attr="class","FaustContent"]Getting beat the fuck up while sleeping was Sebastian's specialty. His eyes shot wide open as he looked up to see which one of the many individuals he was on less than good terms with had decided to assault him today. ...Somebody new.

"Good morning, and ow!" he smiled, hitting her with a single finger gun.

She called him a freshman which meant that she was an upperclassmen or she was a self-loathing freshman. One of those. Probably the former. The latter would be more interesting though.

He didn't really care who she was or why she was assaulting him. If he had to guess, she probably had a good reason for hitting him. Most people—especially women—often did have a very good reason. Those things weren't important. Her question wasn't important. You know what was important? Sebastian's question. It would determine whether or not she was worth his time.

"Our spot, comrade," he replied, putting on an awful Russian accent while saluting only to drop it and jump right into his question. "So, tell me about yourself: How rich are you?" he asked, lowering his sunglasses so that he could give her a quick look at his blue eyes while he hit her with his smolder which has historically never worked for him.

[attr="class","FaustContent"]Live here? Fuck no. If there was anywhere he ever truly lived, it was his room back at his parent's house. Shame that he lost that. Last he heard his dad was going to turn it into a man cave. As if it wasn't bad enough that he got kicked out, but his dad was also going to fill his old room with super cool shit? That's some salt in the wound, man.

"No. I don't live here. I don't really consider what I'm doing right now living. I'm...decomposing here, would be more apt," he snarked, twirling his wrist.

Yeah, this bitch was cray-cray. That's okay-kay tho. Anyone that's interesting has a few screws loose.

"I don't want to die. I just am...not opposed to dying. If it happens, it happens. Now, I don't know who you are kid, but the only way you could help me is if you were..." he paused, giving her a quick up and down look to try and figure out her age. She looked young. "...Were legal and also filthy rich."

Fat chance of that, right? I mean, she clearly looked like a kid (and if she was one of those legal loli types, then he absolutely didn't want to marry her even if she was rich), and she even mentioned that she crashed on alleyway dumpster couches too. Rich people don't do that. ...Or do they? Fuck, what did he know about rich people. He only knew one of 'em, and she was always pretty hush-hush about her family life. ...Or maybe she wasn't and Sebastian just never paid attention.

I say what I mean, and I mean what I say: That's the Sinclaire way."

He had absolutely no romantic interest in Jun. She just didn't have the right (financial) assets to get him interested in her in that way. That being said, he'd be a fool to throw away that flirting card. It could come in handy in the future, so why not keep up appearances.

"Sure, sure, you can tell yourself that you're considering me, but I really did never leave the game. I'm just playing it differently. It keeps things interesting for me, and I hope it keeps things interesting for you too. Games, after all, are meant to be fun."

Then came her recommendation to have him partner back up with Miroru. After the way their last session went, he couldn't help but smile. His mind already got right to work in formulating a devious plan to mess with Miroru again. He got her good last time, but Sebastian always strives to innovate when it comes to annoying people.

"Ro-Ro, eh? Well, if you insist. We did leave things a bit rocky though...I suppose it's a good opportunity for me to apologize to her and show her who I really am. Thanks again, Jun/ This little bout was very enlightening."

[attr="class","FaustContent"]All of that fancy footwork was nothing more than a sham. He didn't understand the minute intricacies of staying light on your feet. He had no concept of microspacing when it came to actual fighting, nor did he have an understanding of how it could be used to adjust one's stance on the fly. All the movement was nothing more than bluster—an accidental bluff that he knew what he was doing.

As expected, she opened with her right. Knowing that gave him more time to react, so he hit her with the wax-on maneuver. Thanks Mr. Miyagi. Unfortunately, he forgot about the second part to that: wax-off, so that was a nice gut punch she got there. That would've been fine if not for the shot to the head to top it off. Y'know what though? Sebastian was ready to roll with those punches. He had taken his fair share of knocks to the head with all of his jackassery.

Rather than swing back, he crossed his left hand over to grab her left hand by the wrist so that he could keep her close. He curled his right arm around her back and attempted to latch onto her waist while taking a step forward to invade her personal space. He remembered that she hated being touched, and now was a perfect time to exploit that weakness of hers as well as probe for more weaknesses.

He softened his expression, and looked her dead in the eyes while trying to maintain close physical contact with her. "Hm...I never noticed that beautiful your green eyes are." And if she hesitated for even a moment, he'd push his left elbow into her stomach while stomping on her right ankle with his left foot.

[attr="class","FaustContent"]He didn't even have time to celebrate his little victory over Jun. It all happened so fast, he felt his fist connect, then he saw the elbow coming right for him—only to catch it in the face before he could do anything about it. If she wanted distance, she'd get it.

"Ow, ow, that actually hurt!" he paused, breaking his stance to brush his nose. "Mmmmnope! No blood...Little sore, doesn't feel broken," he nodded, pinching his nose and wiggling it a bit.

"Still, that was pretty shameful of me to get hit like that. I definitely have lost my edge. My instincts are clearly as dull as your personality now," he said in a sing-song tone, still lying as usual.

Whelp, as lovely as it was to get an elbow to the face, he'd prefer it if that didn't happen again. He needed to wake the fuck up and get his shit together. Focus. Think faster. React faster. She may had way more experience than him, but he was certain that his own natural talents would allow him to bridge that gap. He took up the same stance but added a bit more movement to it, bouncing up and down on his toes. He thumbed his nose at her with a devious grin.

"C'mon then, let's get back to it."
