The shit-eating grin on his face probably wasn't doing him any favors in selling that lie, but he didn't really care. Whether she believed him or not, it made for good TV. He was all about keeping those ratings up. God forbid he get canceled in his prime.
"Still, it does worry me that you're so distrusting. You need to learn to let people in—believe in people. I mean, if you can't believe in little ol' me what can you believe in? Nothing! You seem to think that I'm up to something, but I'm not up to anything at all. On the contrary, I am the opposite of up. I am down. As in I am down to get back into the groove of things!" Implying that he ever was in the groove to begin with...
Whelp! It didn't matter. Ten minutes? Fifteen minutes? It didn't matter. It's not like this was a pressing matter. All that mattered is that he got what he wanted. "Of course it doesn't mean I'm back considering I never left—always have been in the game. You're the one who's been out of it," he smiled.
Bouncing off of his seat, he threw his hand up to Jun to wave her farewell as he made his way outside. Fifteen minutes would give him enough time to take a mini-nap on the field while he waited for her to finish eating. | |

I do so hope that he never changes," he continued, going right back to his sing-song tone. "Don't worry, I won't scam him into buying me a phone and paying for the plan. I'm not that desperate...Yet."He traced one hand along the rim of the stolen vodka while the other lifted the sunglasses from his face. He flicked his head to the side to brush the hair from his eyes so that he could hit Kioko with the whimpering puppy dog eyes that he knew she'd never fall for. "Pwease, Ki-tan~" Immediately after, he pulled back, shrinking down into his seat while pushing the tips of his index fingers together, casting his glance off to the side like a shy little kid. Luckily he didn't bite it hard enough to draw blood, but his mouth (and eyes) were watery. He played it off as best he could though, quickly carrying on as if nothing had happened.
"Yes," he nodded, pulling his head out of her personal space.
He took a seat right next to her, resting his back against the table while stretching his arms and legs out to occupy an obscene amount of space on and at the table. He didn't need to actually see her face to know that she was upset with him. Of course she was. Why wouldn't she be? She had every right to what with him screwing with her the entire time she was going out of his way to try and help him.
"So, remember how you dropped me out of your little game with that Jan guy? Well, I'm here to say that I'm back in it, so why don't you hurry on along with your lunch, and then we can get right to work, eh?" | |

On top of getting the unluckiest number in country, he also found himself on a different group from his target: Sumi. His only hope was that at least one of the girls on his team was rich too. If he wasn't going to take home the gold, he'd be willing to settle for silver. Silver can live comfortably too.
Business before pleasure: he should find out how rich the other two girls were especially since the big guy—who looked pretty familiar to him, but he just couldn't place where they had met—had already moved on. At least, that was the plan, but then he saw that Jun was experiencing a mild bout of anxiety. How could he pass up on that opportunity to make it worse?

Sebastian Sinclaire, Slackaire Extraordinaire was actually interested in trying for once. Why? Well, isn't that a mystery for the ages? A mystery to be solved at a later time! The point was, he was at long last ready to realize his potential. Now it was just a matter of how he was going to go about doing so.
"Mmm, looks delicious as usual. I sure do love the free lunches here. It's nice not having to cook for myself these days," he smiled, nose twitching at the scent of Jun's lunch.
Sebastian had caught Jun in the cafeteria sitting all by herself. Classic Jun. She was hunched over her tray having not touched it in quite some time (he had been watching her for a few minutes). She seemed gloomy. Was she perhaps still reeling from her failure in trying to motivate him? Nah...As much as he liked to pretend it did, he knew that the world didn't revolve around him. Though, it'd be much more convenient for him if it did.
He had walked over to break her out of her zone, quietly sneaking behind her and sticking his head just over her shoulder so that their cheeks were but an inch apart. As usual, he was wearing his school uniform in his usual disheveled fashion. His blindfold was pulled down (he pulled it down before approaching) so that she couldn't see his eyes. | |

Then he quickly dropped the whole act and went back to his usual self.
"Anyway, I wanted you to buy me a phone. It's getting really inconvenient having to walk all the way to the campus library to use a computer just so I can get in touch with you and ol' Renji-rounin."
As soon as the server came back with Kioko's order, Sebastian quickly reached over to snatch it so that he could drink it first. It definitely wasn't the first time he'd have done such a thing to her (or Renjirou, for that matter). If she cared enough to go for it before he did, he'd have let her have it. If she let him have it, he'd drink half first before giving her the rest.
"Besides, you two need to be able to message me too in cases of emergency," he began, still maintaining his sing-song tone. "I worry about you, y'know? I want you to be able to call me when you need help." | |

"Still wearing all black on a hot day like this? Oh, why am I not surprised? I don't think there's any sort of weather that could get you to dress differently! Why, I don't think there's anything in this world that will change your fashion full-stop," he began, quickly vomiting his words out to try and prevent her from getting a word in. "Mmm...Unless they invent a color that's darker than black! Oh, wait there is! Are you wearing it?" he squinted.

He let himself fall back into the bench, softening the impact by making the bench elastic for just a quick second. He sprawled his arms out over the back of the bench and spread his legs open obscenely wide so that he'd take up the entire bench's space.
"I probably would've if you hadn't gotten in the way," he sighed, lifting his hand to his face so that he could tug the blindfold back down over his face. "So, yeah, thanks for ruining that for me."
He had no reason to evade her questions, but he did so anyway because he felt like it. Not everything needs an explanation.
"Oh...I get it now. That's why you're confused," he nodded, continuing on in his sing-song tone. "You're under the misconception that just because I'm a hero student you and I are alike. We're not!" he smiled. "You're on the side of heroism, and I'm all alone on my own side. If you were smart, you'd switch sides too—not to my side, but your side. You should look out for yourself too."
He pointed an accusatory finger back at her, his hand right next to hers. "Seriously, you got involved in a situation you shouldn't have. You could've gotten hurt too—not that I care, mind you so long as either I die or escape safely. Ah, but you don't care about getting hurt. If you did, you wouldn't have interfered. If there is something you should be scared of, it's your future at U.A. Y'know you could get expelled for doing what you did, right? That's vigilantism, and I don't quite think U.A. will tolerate any of that." | |

At long last, he was rewarded for his stubborn laziness. Forgetting all of the aches and pains, he jumped right back up on his own two feet and pumped his fist in the air.
"Woo! Finally, I can go home and sleep!"
Then he felt a sharp pain traveling up his spine as everything hit him all at once. He found himself unable to stop smiling. He found himself unable to do anything. Yeah...That probably wasn't a good sign at all. Frozen, he just sort of toppled over, landing on his shoulder in a bouncy pit of rubble. At least it was comfortable. God bless his quirk.
Not that anyone could see it since he had still not taken off his blindfold, he simply shut his eyes and accepted that he probably wasn't going to make it back home and into the comfort of his bed. That's fine though: a nap's a nap. Sleeping on a bed of rocks is much more preferable to fighting. | |

♠ Sinclaire | [attr="class","FaustContent"]R-rival!? Fuuuuuck no. Rivals are the worst possible thing to have. Sebastian had played more than enough RPGs to know that rivals constantly show up to annoy you, test your strength, etc. Fuck that noise. Sebastian was not about to have a rival.
Seeing that he was able to overpower the musclehead was deeply concerning. It meant that if they were to fight, Sebastian would likely win. If he could rival his strength—and his strength seemed to be his primary power—then it meant that he had the advantage when factoring in his quirk. Despite knowing that he could win, he didn't want to even try.
"I refuse. You can't make me," he said while laying down in the concrete, his body beaten and bruised.
He may have been stronger and more durable, but that didn't mean that he was immune to all of the punishment his body had endured. Plus, he didn't want to give this idiot any idea of actually considering Sebastian his rival. Winning would be tantamount to accepting his rivalry. It was much better to hold the L...Or F in this case. | |

At this point, he was getting quite good at getting his ass kicked. He wondered if there was anyone else who spent more time in the infirmary than anyone else for injuries inflicted as a result of inaction.
"No, seriously, I surren—" Before he could even finish his sentence, he had a hand on his face as he was driven with a dive into the ground.
He could've turned the ground into a trampoline to cushion the blow and rocket both of them back into the sky but where would that even go? The longer Sebastian dragged this fight out, the more he'd get hurt. It was better to just take the one, quick beating and move on then to prolong the pain and suffering. Besides, the sooner he got his ass kicked, the sooner he could get on with his nap. There was also the bonus positive of getting those tasty no more feely drugs in the infirmary. Mmm...Drugs.
When the dust settled, he was laying in a crater with a minotaur right on top of him. ...Wait, why did he know all of that? Shit, he was still conscious. What the fuck? Everything was sore, but the problem was that he didn't get knocked out from that. Shit, maybe he really was getting better at having his ass kicked? Perhaps he built up a resistance to it. Shit. It'd really suck if he became immune to ass-kickings. ...Whatever. He could just play dead, and if that didn't work, he could always just let himself get ragdolled a bit longer until he was out of commission. | |

Fighting someone strong is just a pain in the ass. Fighting someone weak is also a pain in the ass. Fighting someone is a pain in the ass.
He didn't bother to even take off his blindfold, much less move out of the way. As his assailant came charging at him headfirst, he briefly considered launching the guy into the sky by turning the ground into a trampoline. It'd definitely catch him off guard, and give him a chance to do something...NAH! That's too much effort, and he didn't want to give his partner the impression that he gave a damn because he didn't! "Hol' up! I surrender! I forfeit! I'm not trying!" he shouted as the guy came right at him.
"Oh, you're throwing me no—" YEET!
Off into the sky, Sebastian didn't even bother trying to stop the guy. He just let himself be thrown like a ragdoll. When he got too close to being launched into a building, he made sure to give himself an air trampoline to bounce him away, and then he made another trampoline to catch him from crashing into something else after that. Without even moving his body, he just kept making trampolines to cushion his fall until he was suspended in the air, bouncing up and down on an air trampoline.
"No seriously, I give up. You look way too strong for me to fight, so I forfeit, and you can just go beat up my partner or whatever. She'll probably give up too shortly." | |
