That all sounded like heaven to Freja. Not that she was going to come out and admit that here. She got that it wasn't exactly useful for heroics, but a quirk like that still sounded so convenient. ''I see. So lots of folks in your family have quirks?'' She didn't really want to pry or anything, it seemed like a pretty sore topic for the fox girl. Not that she could blame her, pretty much the last thing Freja wanted to think or talk about was family.

''H-Huh? I'm not looking to kick any asses-'' Truth be told, she was still terrified of her peers. Terrified of sparring others and terrified that she might be treated differently for being quirkless. ''In fact it would be great if I could just.. Get along with everyone?'' She was relieved she hadn't trauma dumped as much as she thought. ''Even smoke and mirrors can be really powerful. Especially if people are underestimating it.'' Freja as a quirkless student, knew all about being underestimated. She might be an anxious wreck of a person, but that came more from her current life circumstance than anything else. Elias, the consciousness in control inside of Freja, used to try to join a gang after all.

''I-I mean, I figured we'd both go to public spaces and-.. Well we could study in my room too sometimes I'd just have to ask my roommates about it first. But anyplace is fine!! Did you have somewhere in mind?'' She looked at Miroru, somehow feeling shorter than her even though she was 5'11.

Miroru

Huh, that explanation made a surprising amount of sense. Never mind that though, didn't his voice sound familiar somehow? It was a very unique accent, probably not natively Japanese as far as Freja was aware. ''Yeah, I suppose it is.'' Although she couldn't say she would choose a spot like this herself. It was too... Elevated. Practically put your training on display for the whole world to see. ''M-Me?'' She blinked her eyes, kind of shocked that Farrin remembered her. Was that a good thing or a bad thing? He didn't seem like a bad guy, or a bully.

''Yeah! Uh, Helt Freja, nice to meet you too! O'Rourke, right?'' She was taking a guess here, but it had to be. His voice was simply to unique to belong to anyone else. ''Your voice gives you away.'' She smiled. ''B-But I don't mean that as a bad thing!'' She quickly clarified, realizing her words could have been misconstrued. ''I got curious. I was training just down there.'' She pointed down at one of the training fields with her wooden stick. ''I saw you and wondered who it was training up here.'' Well, it was sort of half of the truth. Freja had been struggling with her training, particularly close combat. Ever since her recent run-in with a villain in Shinjuku she couldn't help but feel like she wasn't doing enough.

''Actually-'' She hesitated for a moment. This was that same feeling she had when she asked her question on orientation day. She was nervous, but there was no shame in asking. ''You're pretty strong, right? Could you show me what you can do in hand-to-hand?''

Farrin

Oh my god! Who would've thought hero work was endless work?!

Freja was panting and sweating running circles around one of the gravelly training fields. Not even with her hair tied up into a high ponytail could she seem to beat the heat. After a while she finally doubled over and had to walk off to the side to rest. At this rate she was going to remain bottom of her year forever. She took a big swig of her water bottle as she recalled Leonid's words on orientation day. She could do it too. She could also become a hero.

Screwing the cap back on the bottle with a small sigh she closed her eyes as she recalled hearing laughing after her question. Pretty stupid of her to just out herself as quirkless like that, but the damage was already done. Tightening her grip on the bottle, Freja turned to dramatically throw it, but stopped her arm when something, no, someone caught her attention. Out of the corner of her eye, up on a hill... Was that someone training? Well, it couldn't hurt to check. Worst thing that would happen is they would tell her to get lost.

Freja took her time climbing up the grassy hill, still a little tired from her run, even going as far as using her wooden training stick as walking stick. It felt like a climb up Mt. Fuji itself to see who the mystery hill person was. When she finally did reach the top, she stood there for a moment and looked at him throwing out his jabs. She couldn't really get a good look at his face from this angle... Maybe if she walked around him? It wasn't until an awkward moment had passed that she realized she still hadn't said anything.

''Uh- H-Hi!! Sorry..'' She waved a hand and offered a nervous smile, before looking over her shoulder down at UAU before looking back at him. ''Why are you training up here?''

Farrin

Rin pulling on her ropes loosened up their grasp on her wrists just enough so that Freja could wiggle her way out, and with her hands free she quickly managed to undo the ropes around her ankle, or were they always this loose? Now that she thought of it, why was he just blocking the exit, why wasn't he helping his mannequin go after them? Did it have something to do with what he said about making them his guinea pigs? In any case, Freja agreed with Rin. They needed to run, they needed to get out of here, but with the way blocked the only thing they could do was fight their way out. Now that she was able to stand up, Freja sprung into action.

With a swift kick to the side of the mannequin's head, the creepy minion collapsed onto its side. When she got backed into a corner Freja didn't hesitate to fight, she wasn't a former delinquent who almost joined a gang for nothing. The mannequin was about to make its way back up, but Freja quickly stomped it back down, before grabbing one of its arms with both of her hands. Pulling as hard as she could, she tore the arm off to use as a makeshift weapon, with which to beat the shit out of the mannequin. It wasn't a baseball bat like she was used to, but it was still a blunt object.

Not until the arm was almost broken and the mannequin underneath her was torn to pieces did she finally stop smashing it. Panting, out of breath and sweating as she looked back at Rin. ''We have to.. We have to fight him!'' She straightened her back and glared at their kidnapper. She didn't like fighting like this, but it was clear their lives were in danger and they had to do something. Charging at the villain, she would get ready to swing the moment she got within range of him, only he leaned forward and gently tapped her forehead before she could strike him.

''Come Into My Head.'' He whispered softly, a cold shiver running down Freja's spine before her whole body froze on the spot. She couldn't move a single muscle. Then, something painful began sprouting out of her head.

She screamed.

Then the propeller started whirring.

''R-Rin I'm sorry..'' Terror was painted on her face as she turned towards Rin, mannequin arm raised and ready to hit her against her own will.

Rin

As if on cue, another set of footsteps made its way down the stairs. They didn't sound particularly heavy, in fact they were really easy to miss, but it was accompanied by another sound too. The sound of whirring? She looked up at Rin, wishing she had the courage to tell Rin she needed to run away now, but the truth was Freja was happy she was here, that she wasn't alone with this guy anymore.

''You will fight.''

Freja looked back at the villain as he stepped aside, allowing for a mannequin to walk past him. Hold on, was that mannequin walking on its own? And the whirring sound... A spinning propeller was sticking out of the top of its head. The mannequin snapped its head over, featureless face looking directly at Rin before it suddenly lounged forward to try and hit her with its arms.

''Or you will die.''

''Rin! Look out!'' Freja began struggling even harder against the rope that had been tied around her wrists. If only she had the fire quirk sis had, she could have burned through rope like this in no time. In her panicked attempt to escape, Freja accidentally knocked the chair onto the side, slamming into the hard floor. The mannequin was solely targeting Rin from the time being, and the guy was just watching them from the stairs, so if there was a time to break free and help Rin, now was it. She just needed Rin to last long enough, to buy her a little more time...
