If Freja thought the physical training a hero student had to go through every week was tough, it almost felt like nothing compared to the lectures and the homework that came after. That, or maybe it was just the combination of all these things and how they somehow had to juggle it all that left her brain fried. She wasn't a particularly athletic or impressive student physically, especially not seeing as she was quirkless and couldn't just rely on a power to 'cheat' her way through the physical exercise. She also wasn't gifted as book smart either. In fact, Freja was probably average at best and she felt it even more so sitting next to the geniuses of UA. Like Miroru Rokuhane. She hadn't noticed her at first, too wrapped up in her own mind battling her own insecurities to notice anyone else, but once she did see Miroru, she kept being impressed. Impressed by her insane work ethic, always taking notes, never getting tired, seemingly breezing her way through every class like some natural born genius. Of course Freja barely knew her yet, she only knew her name, but she wouldn't be surprised if it turned out Miroru had always been a straight A's student. ...Maybe she could ask her for help? Yeah right, as if a smart and talented girl like Miroru would even spare a loser like Freja a single thought. Surely if she approached her she would just laugh her off and ridicule her. Freja had already gotten herself enough unwanted attention with that awkward question she asked at Leonid's orientation. Despite her negative thought spiral, as class was wrapping up she finally summoned up the courage to speak directly to Miroru. ''Eh-Excuse me? I'm.. Freja Helt, uh...'' The very best Japan had to offer?
The loud powerful rumble in his voice had startled Freja and ever since he first started talking she had only managed to catch a few of the words he was saying. While she stood there shoulder to shoulder with other students, all she could think about was how the hell did she get here? How had someone like her managed to get through the entrance exam and ended up going to class with a bunch of monsters with powerful quirks? She knew she shouldn't be, she knew they were all technically on the same team, but she was scared of not only her teachers, but her peers as well.
More like the very best Japan had to offer and one imposter.
She got the feeling that his words were supposed to be inspiring somehow, but it only left Freja asking herself more questions. The talent and gift she possessed? She didn't even have the faintest idea what that was.. Maybe if things hadn't turned out the way they did, maybe if it was the real Freja at the helm she could have used her flame quirk to pull off something properly impressive. Instead, bad luck had dictated that Elias was the one who survived, bad luck had placed them here today. In a crowd of monsters getting an address from yet another monster.
When he asked for any questions Freja took a small step forward, fumbling slightly as she raised one hand. ''Excuse me, Mr. Leonid-sensei,'' her voice started loud enough to be heard, but grew more and more meek as she asked her question. Feeling less and less sure about whether she should even have asked anything at all. ''Do you think.. quirkless people can become heroes... too?'' She immediately lowered her head in shame, trying to hide her blush of embarrassment from anyone that might have looked in the direction of her voice.

The last couple hours had been a blur. Blood was dripping from the side of Freja's head as she woke up in a dark room only illuminated by a single lamp overhead. The stinging pain in her head made her jolt instinctively. Someone had knocked her out and brought her here. She tried to stand up from the chair she was seated in, but her arms and legs were tied down. How did she get here... Rin had texted her, hadn't she? Rin told her to meet her in Shinjuku. Freja had gone because she was still pretty new to Japan, she had no clue that crime rates were higher out here, that she had been walking straight into a trap. ''Rin? Rin!'' She called out into the void as she struggled to try and get free. ''Rin where am I?!'' She could feel her adrenaline rising, she was in some real trouble right now, she had to get the hell out of here, call the police, the heroes, anyone who could help her. ''Freja Helt.'' A guy's voice, it was impossible where it was coming from, only that it was somewhere in the darkness around her. ''W-Who are you?!'' She looked this way and that, panicking as she tried to spot her captor. ''I have been following you for a while now. UA University student, I figured you would make a guinea pig for my quirk.'' Stepping into her field of view, the man, probably no older than herself had a black bowl cut and dark, soulless eyes and a neutral expression. ''Y-You have?'' She could feel the tears welling up in her eyes. Damn it! Why now of all times, why was she so easily scared? ''I... Yeah. I was stalking you for weeks do you not recognize me?''Stalking her? Freja is the kind of girl who looks perpetually tired, but is actually full of energy. When she has made her mind up on something she can be rather bold in her decision-making, especially if it comes to helping others. The one she has the most trouble helping is herself, with any kind of self-reflection or introspection activating her deepest fears and insecurities. She has a vitriolic blind hatred towards villains and vigilantes and hates going down corridors alone, even if she likes her independence. Ultimately, while she is rough around the edges and has a lot to work on when it comes to her own traumatic past and present, Freja will always try to be the best friend that she can for those around her. The thing is I wish I could tell you Freja's story right now, but the truth is that Freja is gone. Her story can only be told from an outsider's perspective, I can't give you the whole thing, but I can try my best. Freja Helt was the twin sister of Elias Helt. Growing up this twin sister and brother couldn't be anymore different. Freja was the bright, happy-go-lucky and friendly type of person who got along with everyone and had clear goals for the future. Elias he, well he was none of that. The family's disappointment really, it was always going to be tough to follow an act like Freja. Perfect daughter, perfect friend, perfect sister. Elias fell into some rough times, hung out with the wrong type of crowd, did all that delinquent crap. Freja on the other hand? She always wanted to be a hero. Her parents used to call her Little Hero, as a play on words on their last name ''Helt'', which translates to hero in Danish. Anyway, she didn't just want to be a hero, Freja also loved Japanese culture and specifically wanted to study at UA University. One thing led to another and soon her, Elias and their parents took a family vacation to Japan, both to scope out the area for her future, but also just to experience the culture up close. It was in a fated hotel corridor that both Elias and Freja fell victim to a villain attack. Freja's quirk always shone with the brightest embers, a spark like no other, but that day she fought alone, as Elias was quirkless. Or so they thought. The truth is, I am Elias Helt. My memories are blurry from that day, all I remember was bleeding out and watching my sister bleed out, then I woke up in a hospital bed. My first thoughts went to her. If anything happened to her I wouldn't know how to feel, how to live. Then, I found out I woke up in her body. Her appearance, her voice, but my mind. My memories. Apparently my quirk must have activated when we both died and somehow made me travel into my sister's body to take it over for her. No one believed me. Everyone thought Elias was the one who passed away and Freja was the only survivor. Freja is gone for sure, though. I know this because of how quiet her, or rather my mind is. I'm like some kind of ghost, merely possessing and piloting an empty vessel. At first I thought I became my sister. Despite what happened our parents wanted to support her dreams of going to UA. I can't use her flames at all, but somehow I managed to pass the entrance exam. I'm not sure if what I'm doing is right, but I've decided to try and live out her dream. I never had a dream of my own anyway. I also drew up a rough sketch of what the villain who attacked us looked like. Maybe one day I will find out who it was. My odds are probably not going to get any better than living in Japan and studying to become a hero. At first I thought I became my sister, but I realize now that I am neither Elias, nor old Freja. I am my own person born from their memories, and from now on I will live my own life not just for me, but for both of them too.
