So far so good. At least on Iphi's end things were running smoothly. Her new tech was holding up well as it deflected a stray bullet, which she had Sebastian to thank for the idea of adding flexibility to her shield. Ultimately, this made sure it could hold up to things that would normally break it with ease.

Firing back and taking out another grunt, Iphi would soon be alerted to the presence of backup. The police may have been dragging their feet, but it didn't stop the Pro Hero vanguard from arriving early "I need you guys to cover this exit, one of my men needs backup." she wouldn't wait for any objections; instead dropping her shield and taking off in a full sprint towards the back of the warehouse. Hopefully, Gabriel will be able to hold on!

Making her way to the back she arrived just in time to see Gabriel in a pickle. Brain Freeze was still recovering and Iphi figured this would be her only chance to apprehend her without a major headache...literally. Iphi aimed her gauntlet and fire at Brain Freeze to knock her back to the ground; keeping her stunned was the biggest priority of this was all for naught and then she charged the person restraining Gabriel. "Exciting enough for your first taste of field work? Restrain her and make sure she can't look at you! It's how her quirk operates!" Iphi was currently wrestling with the guard so it was up to Gabe to save the day! Or perhaps run away, who knows.

It didn’t take long for backup to arrive. Iphi came in like the hero she was and started tussling with the guard. Now, free of his big, strong arms — a reminder of how badly Gabe needed to hit the gym — it was time for a battle of the minds against brain freeze.

Or so he thought.

Iphi quickly gave him important information: if she couldn’t look at him, then she couldn’t activate her quirk. And that’s when brilliance struck. With slow, blinking eyes Brain Freeze looked to Gabriel. The world was still blurry but as her vision cleared she activated her quirk, but not before seeing Gabe doing what Gabe does best…

Strip.

Ripping off his jacket, he tossed it toward her, blocking her line of sight. She lifted her hands in the air to toss the jacket out of the way when Gabriel dove down to the side. Now to her left, he grabbed onto one of his sleeves. He circled around behind her, for her to hit her own face with the back of her hand, as he grabbed the other sleeve.

The big bad freed their hands — still blinded — and swung back to stop Gabriel, only to find her wrists caught in handcuffs.

“Now that you’re trapped…” You could hear Gabe’s smug smile. “I’ll make this nice and tight.” Then, he turned to Iphi. “I think we’re all good!”

While Iphi had the skill she definitely was still lacking a bit in the strength department. Back in her UAU days she could supplement this by borrowing support gear from some of her friends in that department, but since leaving UAU she had focused less on strength training and more on rounding out her skillset. After all, why did she need to focus on strength training? She could have Sadako do the heavy lifting for her.

Well, it was for situations like this. The larger guard was probably chosen by Brain Freeze for a reason, as he had no problem getting out of Iphi's grasp. Throwing her off and away from him. She was able to stay on her feet due to quick thinking, which was always the case for her, and watched for a moment to see what the grunt did. The wheels were turning in his brain as his eyes flicked between Gabe and Iphi before opting to go after her, viewing her as the bigger threat since he'd already caught Gabe once. He would charge, swinging down hard at Iphi, who would take the opportunity to use her new equipment once more, putting up a shield to block the punch. It was a success...sort of as the force recoil against both of them, pushing them back. 'I'll need to adjust the flexibility of the shield when it comes to physical strikes.' she was already thinking of dozens of different ways that she could fix this issue and fired off another round from her gauntlet to knock the grunt out.

With a large exhale, she turned to Gabriel, who was still holding Brain Freeze in place. "Wonderful work. I think you've passed your field test with flying colors." the rapid footsteps of the police could be heard as they came to take over for the duo. They had managed to round up everyone else before they managed to escape, putting an end to this multiple-month-long operation. "I'll need to make a brief report and then we can head back. If you're injured, there's a medical onsite; if not, it'll only be a few minutes."
