"WhaaaaAAT THE FWAAAAGH!"

In the worst possible fusion of "missing a step" and "tripping over a crack", Miroru put her foot down to take another step as she crossed the grass field in the middle of campus, and found her foot catapulting back upwards like she'd just stomped on a trampoline. Missing the step also meant she fell, toppling forwards and completely losing her balance, falling onto the empty patch of stretchy air and getting sent, limbs and tail flailing, through the air to slam down onto the admittedly soft grass beyond the mystery patch of broken atmosphere.

Which of course dumped the cranberry juice she'd saved from breakfast all over the thirsty, thirsty turf.

"WHO- WHAT-" Miroru ripped up a handful of grass blades and tossed them down where she'd just stepped, boggling as they just sat on top of the springy surface in midair.

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Who LEFT this here?! How is this not littering or something?!" She hissed, crouching and trying to grab at the edges of the... whatever it was, to see if she could dissipate it, or move it, or... SOMETHING besides leave it here for someone else to trip over!

Bee— "Ahhhhhh," he stretched, slowly rising from his invisible hammock in the air, bouncing just a bit as he stretched his arms out. As usual, it was like sleeping on an invisible water bed...Man, he sure was glad to have been born with a quirk like his. It meant he could make his own bed wherever he wanted! There really was no other quirk for Sebastian...Or was there? He did just have the strangest dream where he was glitching through the world like he was playing an online video game with a dial-up connection. Anyway, that nap, while awesome, was not enough for him. He woke up still feeling tired. Y'know the best cure for that groggy state when you just wake up from a nap? Another nap! So, still wearing the eyemask over his face, he rolled out of his invisible hammock and let himself fall a bit before generating another invisible hammock by applying his quirk to the air. As he bounced up and down on his freshly made bed, he let out a satisfied sigh and allowed himself to drift back off to sleep, completely ignoring the fact that someone was yelling about litter. I mean, littering was bad and all, but it wasn't his problem, nor was it his fault! He was too busy catching some Z's to litter. Miroru looked up as she heard the beeping, squinting up at the boy floating on nothing rolling off of nothing into nothing and wobbling as nothing gently rocked him into a more secure state of slumber. Squinting, Miroru noted the similarities between his bouncing and the pliable, invisible membrane littered onto the ground level to get up to his aerial bunk bed. She stood and stared up at him, recognizing that he hadn't at all seemed to care when she yelled. Ear buds? Plugs, maybe? Yelling wasn't gonna work, and she couldn't just fly up there or anything like that.

So she tried something a bit more creative.

Staring up at him, she exerted her quirk a bit to rapidly accelerate all the infrared radiation- heat- his body was releasing. She couldn't affect his temperature directly, but she could make sure his own body heat instantly vacated his immediate vicinity, as well as all the other radiant heat in his little hammock.

Which meant that while HIS body temperature wasn't affected, the AIR around him very quickly felt like it went from a comfy mid-year day to a walk-in freezer as all the latent heat nearby wafted away as an impromptu ice bucket wake-up call!

"HEY! ARE THESE YOURS, RIP VAN WINKLE?!"

Sebastian ♣ ♦ ♥ ♠ Sinclaire [attr="class","FaustContent"]Of all the things that Sebastian was expecting out of U.A., he was not expecting to be attacked by a villain on campus grounds. Homework? Pain in the ass exercises? Annoying teachers? Those were all things he was prepared for, and things he had more than experience dodging. Villains, on the other hand...Well, actually upon further reflection, he was friends with Kioko, so he did have plenty of experience with being attacked by a villain while on campus grounds. Going from the pleasant spring breeze to a shivering gale was more than enough to jolt him awake. It was like his mother had tossed a bucket of ice-cold water on him to get him to wake up for school. It was no surprise that he immediately bounced up into the sky and then fell comically back down, slamming into several other hidden pockets of elastic air on the way to the hard ground where there wasn't a trampoline to cushion his fall. Face flat in the grass, he didn't even bother to sit up before answering her question (so it probably came out a bit muffled). "You can't rip a van winkle while asleep, idiot," he said while raising a finger to the sky. "...No wait, I'm thinking of sneezing. You're still an idiot though~!" he said, still not looking up to face her. Instead of sitting up, he quickly began to appreciate just how comfortable the grass was. In fact, it was quite soothing to feel the blades of grass brush against his skin from the gentle spring breeze. A nap up in the sky was nice, and so was a nap on the ground. And so he just laid there, letting his arm fall back down as he quickly went back to resuming his nap despite the angry fox's protests. One must be prepared at all times, especially when on campus with the embodiment of a spirit so vindictive, so tricksy and omnipresent, they didn't even bother giving them a name separate from the creature they imitated. All foxes were kitsune. All kitsune were foxes. And Miroru was just as wicked when irritated!

"AHA! The invisible trampolines are TOTALLY your doiOHMYGAWDAREYOUALRIGHT?!" She shrieked, revenge interrupted by the faceplant, hands slapping over her mouth as she hurried over- and promptly realized he was fine after a quick, harmless burst of X-rays confirmed a lack of bone trauma. She cleared her throat and planted a foot on the back of his head- lightly, no pressure, a dominance move, not intended to injure or discomfort. "I might be an idiot, but you're the one that got trounced by an-

WAKE UP WHILE I'M GLOATING AT YOU!

Can you really not sneeze in your sleep?" Frowning, Miroru pulled her phone out and loaded a video of some ambient hospital noise, and stepped back to create the image of a hospital operating theater around Sebastian before applying the time-tested frigid aura technique to wake him up and see how he responded to appearing to be inside a hospital suite!

... while he felt like he was laying on grass. ... oh well. It would be an interesting test of his response either way!

He was, however, open to it if it made for a good bit. Nothing is too degrading or shameful if it makes for a good bit. That's all that matters in life: The Bit. Life is just an endless search for content. Pretending to be asleep while she stepped on and yelled at him was a good bit, so he let it happen. Y'know what else makes for a good bit? Getting shocked back "awake" again by a sudden burst of cold. Even better is the fact that was standing right there next to him. The second that she did her little cold air technique, he used his own quirk to make the ground beneath them elastic and bouncy. Once it was nice and bouncy, he quickly pushed all of his weight into it to bounce up into the air and hopefully send Miroru bouncing up and down with him. "GAH! Why do you keep doing that!" he shouted, still bouncing up and down while comedically flailing about, headband still covering his eyes so that he had no way to know where she was and therefore avoid accidentally crashing into her on his bounces. "GYAAAH! HEY STOPSTOPSTOP!" Miroru shrieked, shoving her hands against her thighs and squashing her knees together as she shot into the air, tail floofed wildly as she did her best to deprive any potential audience so much as a scrap of fan service. "I did it cuz you left these things all over the place and I tripped over one and spilled my drink and it was irresponsible and YOU'RE irresponsible and you should clean up your stupid INVISIBLE TRAMPOLINES BUT INSTEAD YOU'RE NAPPING AND NOT LISTENING SO I HAD TO WAKE YOU UP SOMEH-WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOIIIIIIIIIIIIING!!!!"

Miroru shoved at Sebastian with her feet as he blindly bounced closer, trying to keep him from landing on her without compromising her hold on her skirt's hem!

Sebastian ♣ ♦ ♥ ♠ Sinclaire [attr="class","FaustContent"]Really, she was mad about that? Why is any of that her fault? She should've just watched where she was going. If she paid any attention to her surroundings, she would've plainly saw the invisible trampolines all over the place as plain as day. Nope! This was not Sebastian's fault in the slightest! He refused to be responsible for her airheadedness! Finally, he lifted his headband just enough to catch a glimpse of her with his own eyes only to catch a glimpse of the flat of her shoe as it struck him in the face, shoving him away from the trampoline so that he'd land back on the hard earth with his face to the ground. "Not my problem that you didn't watch where you're go—URK!" As he laid there on the ground, rather than yell at her for kicking him in the face, he quickly thought of something funnier to say. While he hadn't actually caught a glimpse of it, he did know that this was like the perfect comedic moment to make a comment along those lines. It'd probably land him in a lot of trouble, but you know what? It was for the bit. "They're a little plain aren't they? Not that I'm complaining. Plain is fine. Plain is better than nothing," he paused, face still on the ground as he made his commentary with a raised finger pointing to the sky. "Well, actually, nothing is better than plain if you know what I mean." And with that statement, he was ready to accept his fate. "HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO WATCH SOMETHING INVISIBLE, DUDE?!" Miroru screeched, momentarily satiated by the satisfying thump of her foot shoving Sebastian off his monstrosity and allowing her weight to settle at last so she could crawl off safely. But then.

THEN.

The sky darkened. Literally. Sebastian said what he said, and Miroru froze as she was standing up. The light from the sun dimmed, the sky over them went dark.

"死ね"

Sebastian ♣ ♦ ♥ ♠ Sinclaire [attr="class","FaustContent"]While Sebastian was more than ready to take another hit, he was not expecting that hit to be a divine smite. He was expecting her to just stomp him into the ground—y'know a more violent version of when she stepped on the back of his head to declare her victory. Instead, what he got was exactly what he deserved: some actual comeuppance for once in his life. If he had to compare Miroru's ire to Kioko's ire, he'd say that Kioko's certainly stung a whole lot more, but he still preferred Kioko's given that she always made it up to him by paying for his meal and drinks at Noyote. They were equally funny, however. As he comically spasmed into several different positions from the literal shock to his system, he couldn't help but wonder if it was all worth it. Kidding. It totally was. So much so that when it finally stopped and he was nothing more than a crispy, smoking mess, he clung to consciousness to get out one final zinger. A raised finger to the sky while laying flat on his face, he raised his head, his headband only covering one eye, he spoke, "Worth it..." And then he passed out again.
