She really did earn her spot, didn't she? Maybe she had actually been underestimating herself all along, maybe she could catch this little robot in a couple of seconds and end this hunt-

With each swing the little thing avoided she grew more desperate, panting, swinging faster and faster and yet she couldn't catch up to it. ''K-Kei! What did you feed this thing?!'' She exclaimed out of frustration as she tried to stay on its tail. Had to be running on some kind of super oil for sure, the support students were always cooking up something amazing. ''Hey that's cheating!'' She accused the robot as it popped out the panel and pushed itself further away from her. She finally let out a sigh and let her shoulders drop. ''I thought I had it for a second there.. Ah!-'' Her disappointment was quickly replaced by amazement as she watched Kaida throw a pipe and clock the robot effortlessly.

It was the perfect opportunity to follow up, she just needed to gain some air. Aiming the tip of her bat she got ready to fire her grappling hook up at some nearby pipes, only to find that the mechanism jammed. ''Wait, now of all times?!'' She shook the bat like it was a broken toy, sweating profusely. ''..Jun, Kei, Kaida- think either of you can catch it?''

Kei's laugh was almost manic as he ran after the other student. He made it fast, sure, but having it outspeed someone training to be a hero while he didn't have a full grasp on the tech was not the best decision in hindsight. "Nothin'! I didn't feed it anythin'!" And it was smart enough to leverage Freja's swing too! It couldn't do much about Kaida's attempt though thankfully.

He kept his eyes on the robot in the air, expecting someone else to catch it, but Freja's words caused him to frown. "Wait, what's wrong?" He wished he could look but he was worried he would lose sight of his creation again. From her question though, it seemed that she couldn't be the one to get it.

By its trajectory it was coming towards them. If she couldn't catch it...

"I got it I got it!" Kei fired one metal arm towards a pipe to pull himself up and over- he kinda did that too fast so now he was flying in the air but you know what it's fine! He was still headed towards the ball! His real arms were outstretched, he almost had it-

But the thing rebounded squarely off the head instead.

Luckily his gear caught the robot when he could not; one metal claw reaching out to grasp it before it could bounce away. The rest caught his landing, arms launched at the ground to cushion his fall like springs before losing their tension to lay him on the floor. All but one would retract themselves, the last remaining arm firmly holding the robot as it tried and failed to roll out of its claw.

Kei raised an arm, finger pointing in the air. "Ifirmy wou be nice now..." And then his arm fell limp as he closed his eyes.

It was great to do this alongside students that she didn't interact with much, and seeing Kaida work was always a treat for her! Of course, she'd have to check her over once everything was said and done and make sure she didn't strain herself- Oh. Oh no. The ball was in the air. She was so focused on narrowing the ball's movement that she didn't catch the fact that Kaida launched it first try. She was not in a position to help catch it, and Kei launching himself caused him to knock himself out. Well, at least he caught it... "Uh. S-sorry!" she called out, dismissing the shields. "I'll uh. If this entire set of events was a slapstick comedy, Kaida would have rated it five stars.[break][break]

Had she not been concerned for her friend, she might have laughed at how perfect the timing was, but that resounding thunk of the robot off of Kei's head made her think his skull was most likely, at least, fractured. It was one way to end the chase, she supposed, if not through the sacrifice of the support student's impossibly smart brain.[break][break]

For that reason, she was struggling to keep the smile off of her face, almost appearing manic as she quickly passed by Jun and grabbed the robot in her hands with a firm grip. She took a deep breath to revalidate herself back to her usual stoicism, vaguely wondering where the hell those feelings had come from before staring down at the contraption with an annoyed glare. "You've got a lot to answer for." She muttered under her breath, pondering if robots could serve under felonious charges.[break][break]

Kaida took one look at Kei to see how he was holding up, raising a brow before looking at Jun. "We should probably hurry..." She said. "Freja, help your classmate out, too. I don't trust this thing to not run off again."
