''Thank you all for coming! You're like, totes the best crowd any girl could ask for!'' Rui laughed loudly as she raised a can of beer at no one in particular, seeing as she was all alone. ''Cheersies!! ~'' She added before taking a big swig of her beer. She had been out drinking all night and now found herself sitting alone in a park in the Akihabara district. She wasn't sure exactly what time it was, but judging from the lack of people and the sky slowly turning lighter it had to be the early hours of the morning. The ground around her was absolutely littered with empty beer cans. In her lap she had an ukulele she had picked up from somewhere? Rui didn't know how to play it, but that didn't stop her from getting tipsy by herself and hosting a concert to no one for the fun of it.

She cleared her throat which turned into a cough before raising one arm over her head. ''This next song I call, 'Heroes and why they suck!' This one is totes coming straight from the heart!'' She began strumming the ukulele strings aggressively as she started singing some unintelligible lyrics about how heroes make rules and she hates rules. Oh, the frustration of being a villain in a hero society that worshipped the very people she hated. If only the public could see how super amazing all villains were they would probably change their tune! ..But it would take a real hotshot villain to be able to pull something like that off. When she finished her song she was panting, picking her beer can back up. ''Thank you, thank you! Everyone loves a good evergreen!''

Nadeshiko looked down at the phone she held and compared the image on the screen with the drunken girl on the ground some distance away. She scrolled down the screen and checked a few details provided by her employer and then scratched at her forehead.

Was this really the one they had suggested she look into? 

She stuffed the phone into a pocket on her coat and pulled a simple mask free from a different one and fit it to her face. Even if there was no one around, it didn't pay to take unnecessary risks, and if things didn't work out with Matsui Rui, then Nadeshiko would have to cut ties and disappear. Not revealing her identity early would work in her favor. 

After Rui finished her song, Nadeshiko approached. At a first glance, she may look like someone out for a jog. A patterned sports bra, bare midriff, skintight leggings, and sneakers fit the look, but the mask set her apart from the normal athletic folk that might pass through. 

"Matsui Rui," Nadeshiko called out in a firm tone. "On your feet."

She wasn't asking. No one asked in a tone like that. They commanded it. Nadeshiko tipped her head back and to the side slightly as if looking down upon the drunken mess at her feet. 

"I have a proposal for you, and I will not give it to you if you cannot stand."

''Ayyy!'' She called out giggling as a woman approached and said her name. She had no clue how she even got her name in the first place, maybe Rui was just becoming like, a super famous Tokyo celebrity already?! ''My feet?'' She was about to suggest that the woman join her on the ground instead, but there was something off-putting about the tone in her voice. Even a drunk Rui could tell as much. Maybe her vision was going, but was she being approached by an officer or something? She wasn't going to get arrested was she?!

What she said next however put Rui at ease once more. ''A proposal? Like a ring or something, why didn't you say so!'' It took her some effort to get back up to her feet, like an awkwardly long time as expected of someone who had been drinking way too much. It didn't help that she was hellbent on speaking the entire time. ''You know, I'm like, not like other girls, but usually it's totes the norm to take them out for dinner before you start proposing! Are you rich? I got this ukulele somehow and I was like, oh my gosh I'm like, a natural??? So like, I should totally take classes for it, but like, I don't like have the money!''

With her arms outstretched she finally managed to stand up and balance herself out so that she wouldn't fall again. ''Hup! Ruiiiii Matsuuuuiiiii! Here in the flesh!'' She held out a peace sign, still wholly unaware of what kind of person she was dealing with. ''You can clap now!''

Revision paused for a moment when Rui asked her if she was going to give her a ring. Normally, it'd be a stupid reply, or at least a sarcastic one, but Rui was drunk and, per her dossier, not the brightest. Revision could work around that like she did with Chuck, but it always took a moment to get used to it.

"No, not a ring. I'm not asking you on a date," Revision flicked a business card up between her index and middle finger and tipped it towards Rui. "A job offer, actually."

Revision looked Rui over now that she was 'standing' and shook her head. She really should have waited until another time, though, there was a chance that it didn't get better than this. Someone who got absolutely hammered in a park, played an instrument they didn't know how to play, and believed they were worthy of such praise may continue to do so on a daily basis.

"However..." She gestured at Rui with her other hand. "You're not exactly as impressive as I had hoped based on the information I had received from my bosses. It is a dangerous job, so I need to be sure you can handle it. If you're drunk all the time, then I doubt that will be the case."

''Awwwww well that's okay then!! I'll still stand up just for youuuu! ~'' She giggled, her interest piqued when Revision told her it was a job offer. ''A job? What kinda job?'' She grinned, putting her hands on her hips so that she would look all the more impressive at her staggering 4'9 height.

She looked a little offended at what Revision said next. How dare she! Rui was super mega impressive and like, totally in control of how much alcohol she drank! Her middle name was Queen Super Control that's how in control she was! ''I-I don't care that it's dangerous bestie! And I'm not drunk aaaaall the time, sometimes I'm not-drunk a lot! Especially when I'm employed.'' She huffed. ''You haven't even seen what I can do yet! Lemme show you, lemme show you! Do you have a weapon on you? Try cutting your arm up!'' She stepped towards Revision, clearly not only eager to prove herself, but eager to take on this job that she barely knew anything about. Living life as a villain, especially in the low rungs of society like Rui was, it wasn't exactly lavish living and she was all about taking any opportunity she could to make more money. Not just for herself, but for her family too.

''How did you find me anyway? Are you like, some kind of super genius?''

i am revision, the failsafe "My employer provides security solutions for a number of clients," Revision replied. A normal individual would understand that did not mean just security, but likely some rather illegal problem solving, but Rui wasn't normal. "It is dangerous, and thus requires a specific set of skills." "The documents I received on you are incomplete, but suggest that you possess a potentially useful quirk," Revision gave her a suspicious once-over and then flicked a knife into her hand and twirled it between her fingers. "So, your test is to prove to me that your usefulness is worth my time." Nadeshiko wasn't keen on injuring herself, but she took the knife and put a small cut along the back of her forearm. Healing others was no concern for Nadeshiko, so long as they were within the realm of her quirk's influence when their injury occurred. She, however, was not included in that, and had resigned herself to being unable to heal her own injuries. Perhaps Rui could solve her problem. "This will be the first part. Impress me, and we will continue."

''Securityyy?'' She dragged the word out a bit, only being interrupted by her own hiccup. ''I see I see!! I'm not super strong or anything bestie, my thing is like, still totes important but I don't beat up people.'' This was a tricky thing. She really wanted the job, but Rui wasn't exactly scary or anything, not in the sense that she could lift cars or conjure acid or something like that. The scare factor in her power came from the healing properties of her quirk.

''Yeah mhm yup yup! That's me bestie!! As useful as the day is looooong!'' She giggled. ''If there was a an award show for must useful villain I'd totes get nominated!'' When Revision cut her forearm Rui grinned. It wasn't a big cut or nothing, but her quirk could work its magic all the same. ''People often say I'm the life of the party, my quirk brings a lot of relief.'' As Rui approached and started talking, the skin on one of her hands would start to unwrap itself like bandages, but no blood spilled out, no graphic imagery, there was only the bandage-like skin snaking around and her skeletal hand that was under it. Assuming Revision didn't try to fight her or anything, Rui would guide her bandage skin up to the cut Revision had made, before wrapping around it. Then, Revision would be able to feel a warm, pulsating feeling, like a tranquil calmness emanated from Rui's quirk as it healed the small cut. ''That's why I named my quirk Cha Cha Cha.'' She smiled, for a cut that small the healing only took mere seconds. Unfurling the bandage skin, Rui retracted it and let it wrap back around her hand to how it was before. Where Revision once had a small cut, her skin was back to normal. No cut, no scarring, no sign that she had ever cut her arm.

i am revision, the failsafe "Yes, security," Revision replied sternly. "We defend assets, keep them safe from others, and occasionally, deal with hostile threats. Whether you are capable right now or not is irrelevant. You can be trained, at minimum, to defend yourself." As Rui unraveled herself and wrapped her arm up, Revision tipped her head slightly. It was a rather unsightly quirk, at least in a way, and not one that a squeamish individual would be excited about. Rui's exuberance was endearing, and promising - as was the results of the quirk.  Revision held her arm up to look over the once-wounded area and grinned faintly. Rui's quirk was certainly what Revision needed for her team. However, Rui had a few drawbacks that would need to be addressed - if at all possible. Revision pinched the bridge of her nose as she considered that. "You're right, it is cool," she answered after a moment, then her expression turned darker, and her voice harsh. "It is sufficient that I am interested, however, if you are to accept my offer, you will need to follow instructions, rules, and my orders as necessary. There may come a time when you are subjected to danger and may have to defend yourself and others. If those terms are unacceptable, then we are through." She let that hang in the air for a moment. "If you think you can handle that, then we shall be able to continue our conversation."

Assets? Rui was almost about to ask another dumb question, but she could kind of infer what that was from Revision’s words. They guard important money-making stuff! “Yep!! I’m a fast learner too, you’ll never even see me learn that’s how fast I am!” Genius of her class, that was what Rui was. As long as you asked her and not her classmates or her former teachers. What did they know anyway!!

She grinned excitedly when Revision said it was cool, but stood at attention right after when her expression turned dark. She had a certain scary aura about her, like someone Rui didn’t want to poke too much, lest she wanted to fuck around and find out. She was also sobering up quickly over the duration of their little encounter. “Y-Yeah!! I can do that bestie! I can follow your orders and protecting people? That’s like, totes my thing! And myself too I’m a defense pro!” She just needed Revision to give her one chance. One chance to prove how super awesome and valuable the villain Mummy was. ‘‘Yeah, yeah! I can totes handle it bestie, let’s continue the conversation, it’s a really good conversation don’t you think?’’ Her desperation was starting to show, but she didn't care. She was desperate, she did want the job.
