This lamp post with limbs had just insulted him.... twice, by his count. Alpha could only watch as she walked away, his mind running through a gamut of retorts or reactions, the number of which was far too many to put into a displayed number. The number one of which was something he liked to save for situations when she had truly crossed the line. Like that one time in lab when she intentionally sabotaged his solution and caused it to explode. AND THEN DIDN'T EVEN HELP CLEAN UP WHEN THEY GOT IN TROUBLE. He took another bite of the pickle in his hand as he dwelled on whether he wanted to commit or not.

Gamma, unexpectedly used as a standby Ana, remained surprisingly rigid during her follow-up declaration. The lamp post was correct in her statements, if, once again, harsh. "THE FUTURE SALUTATORIAN IS CORRECT!" He said, still grasping and speaking into the microphone. "I AM SURE IT WAS JUST A SIMPLE MISCONCEPTION OR CONFUSION ON YOUR PART. HOWEVER, I WILL ADVISE YOU REFRAIN FROM SPEAKING IN A MANNER THAT MAY BE INTERPRETED AS A DISRESPECTFUL TONE TOWARDS YOUR PEERS, COLLEAGUES, OR INSTRUCTORS. ALSO, BOROVSKY, PUT ME DOWN. THOUGH I MAY APPEAR AS CUTE AND ADORABLE, I STILL FIND THIS UNBECOMING OF THE SMARTEST STUDENT OF OUR CLASS." He stated in finality, before leaping from her grasp back down onto the stage.

Kappa stood to the side as Beta and Delta spoke with students, watching Alpha's and Gamma's interactions with her. And just by seeing the original Bongo's face, he knew that whatever she said, it had was going to be met with extreme measures. His gaze shifted to Hada as he approached, and Kappa met him, his hands crossed behind his back, and looked up at the towering monolith of a student. "You must be more confident when speaking, Hada. You are not only a second-year student at one of the most prestigious schools in Japan, but also one of our program's top students. If I were not in the class, you could even make the number one spot." He shrugged. "You will likely be expected to make more speeches like this in the future, especially if you are to present your creations and designs for serious consideration. Or you could slip into the shadows and slink by like some of our peers." He said, pointing at Morgan and Aneko. "The choice is up to you."

This was highschool all over again!

At least that's what Fosh realized through the process of banging his fists and feet against his seat - as if it was his own way of processing information (it wasn't). He already had a hunch that the UAU experience wasn't going to differ that much from same old school, but his hope for exciting experience was fueled by many rumors and the general culture surrounding UAU. 

But what kind of experience did he end up getting? Stuck sitting on a chair barely different from the school one, surrounded by super nerds quietly listening to some super-super nerds talking about how every nerd is equal or whatever they babbled about. And he still didn't even know what orientation was supposed to mean!

Fosh found the speeches so boring his ears longed to reject any and all words. He could hear someone telling to stop, but that wasn't anything new either. Even the sound such as the drumming of his feet against the floor were literal music compared to these speeches. Luckily, the teenager's eyes were still open which allowed him to notice someone that instantly managed to grab his attention. It wasn't just someone either, they were multiples of someone. 

And even though Bongo's speech wasn't short and it had utilized many big words, Fosh still somewhat tried to listen due to the novelty and the way it was presented. But considering the response he was about to shout, perhaps it would have been better if he never did try to listen?

"The little green bros are right! There's been some mad disrespect from these sorphobores! Or whatever they call each other! They think they are so much better but in this orientation they didn't even orient anything!"

Support Orientation

[attr="class","AkihiroContent"]Evidently, Akihiro picked quite the star cast to welcome the newest crop of Support Students. Of course, it wasn't as if Akihiro gave much thought as to who he wanted in the room with him for the commencement speech. After all, this whole thing was just a massive waste of time and school resources. If these kids were bright enough to make it into U.A., then they were bright enough to figure out how to read a campus map.

At some point during the discourse, the lady that woke Akihiro up had stepped into the room to hand him his coffee before promptly leaving so as not to disrupt the "productive conversation" that was going on. His harsh gaze softened for a moment as he popped the top open to smell the metaphorical roses. Sweet. Refreshing. Bliss. After securing the top back on, he took a hearty sip before relaxing his shoulders to let out a satisfying "Aaahhh." In that brief moment of relaxation, the whole world faded away, and he stopped paying attention to the petty squabbles between his students, popping back in just to catch the tail end of Fosh's complaint.

Coffee in hand, Akihiro stepped back to the front of the class to interject. "Mr. Jenkins, they think they are better than you because they are better than you—at least, until you prove otherwise," he shook his head. "If you really want to shut them up and prove they're not your superiors, then I'd suggest you get to work on doing so. Regardless, I've grown tired of all of this petty squabbling between the so-called brightest minds the world has to offer, and I have quite a lot of work still at my research desk that I need to do. I'll be dismissing you all to your guided tour groups now," he said, waving his hand dismissively as he walked towards the door.

"You second years know what to do," he threw his hand up as he walked away to signal that he was leaving now.

Kei couldn't help but let out a pained hiss at Aneko's response, all too knowing of the truth behind it. "Yeah, we'll see who's goin' to stay." He crossed an arm over his chest as his face rested on his other hand. "And if anyone would even wanna talk to us after this." Would anyone even stick around for the tour? He wouldn't be surprised if the freshmen thought they'd have better luck finding where everything was themselves, lest their intelligence be questioned further if they asked for help.

Bongo's words were a surprise though; he'd be met with a sheepish laugh in reply. "Eh, I don't think I'm a top student." Kei liked to think he was smart, sure, he survived a year in the institute's challenging curriculum after all. But to see himself as one of the smartest? With the kind of classmates he had? There was no way. "But yeah. It's just different talkin' in front of people when I have nothin' to present y'know? It's easier if I was showcasin' a project."

With the professor making his swift - albeit justified - exit though, Kei grew more alert of the freshmen still sitting before them. "I think we're done with the speeches though- unless anyone else wanted to say something last-minute." Honestly, the cross-eyed student hoped that wasn't the case and they moved on to the next part of the orientation.

If no one else spoke up he would whistle to the crowd. "Okay everyone! We're gonna start the tours so follow me if you wanna join my group!"
