arrin leaned his head back and shut his eyes for a moment, a long exhale escaping his lungs, taking any remaining fight left in his body with it. The tension in his shoulders and neck softened. A million plights, problems, and obstacles still stood tall further down the path, but none were in sight. He had enemies to overcome, people he missed, and hardships to fight through. Those were future Farrin's problems, though. Right here, right now, in this precise moment, things were okay. 

One eye opened as he turned his head and looked the hostages over from afar, then picked himself up. "I think dey're unharmed," he said, approaching each of them with his hands raised so they would know him to be a friend. Despite his heroics display, fear had a way of eroding logic.  

"Oh yeah, best shams I e'er had," he returned her sarcasm with a slight smirk, undoing one hostage's bonds. "It's okay, police are nearby," he assured an older fella.

Farrin then walked to a younger woman and started at her bound wrists but looked over to Yoko. "Yuh' threw yerself ahead one o' their attacks. No matter the outcome, it counts fer' somethin." He paused a moment, thinking the fight over. Pride and confidence played against strategy and encouragement. " 'Sides, the others coulda jumped in at any moment. Even if I took that one bastard down, no tellin' what quirks the others were packin' n' the damage they could do together. We know that when faced wit' more than one person, they fled." 

Compromise. It was the bedrock of any positive, workable relationship between associates, friends, and even strangers sometimes. Farrin was confident he could have taken Imasu, maybe the others too, but there was no telling if he could have succeeded over all of them. What they did know was both of them were alive, and the hostages were unharmed. That was win enough of today.

She let out a sigh of relief when he confirmed that the hostages were unharmed. When she had noticed that something was up she had desperately wanted to help, call the police or anything else she could have done, anything but get captured. The moment she was captured she felt like she had failed as a hero student. To hear that everything somehow worked out in the end, well, unless Farrin was in dire need of medical attention, but it didn't seem like it. Not unless he was really good at masking how much pain he was in.

She laid on the floor for moments longer than Farrin, then needed some time sitting up until she finally got back up to her feet. ''Could've fooled me.'' She fired back. It really was a shocker that Farrin didn't know them. While he helped the first hostage out of their binds she decided to join him, untying hostages from the other end of the line. When he brought up how she had taken that hit earlier by throwing herself into the fray she just remained silent for a moment, continuing with the task at hand. ''Well, if you insist I won't keep playing the pity card.'' She leaned down to the child she was helping, giving her support as she helped her stand up. ''Can you stand? Everything is going to be okay now.'' She lowered her voice, trying to make sure Farrin didn't see that a hardened delinquent like her had a soft side. It would ruin her reputation at school if it got out.

What Farrin said, it somehow creeped her out even more. ''Yeah, what was that about? I figured if they knew you maybe they were going easy on you or something. That guy, the Isamu guy, it looked like he was having fun fighting you.'' Oh well, that was probably for the police to figure out. Speaking of which, she needed a smoke before she had to go to the station to give her side of the story. Picking a pack of cigarettes from off the shelf she showed them to the store owner as he was getting freed. ''Can I get a discount on these? I'll tell all my friends about this place, and we did save you all.'' All her friends... Yeah, that big group of friends she had. ''Hey, Farrin.'' She motioned for him to follow her out the door once they were done seeing to the civilians. ''So, what now? Gonna go talk to the police with me?'' She took out a cigarette and lit it. ''I figure I can give them all the facts as they are, while talking shit about my family name. Best of both worlds.''
