On a certain island in the waters surrounding Japan, all hell has broken loose.

A helicopter had already been called in carrying reinforcements from the Heroes Association. The helicopter was carrying a couple of soldiers in gear and the pro hero Don Candle. ''With the waters swarming with monsters, it only makes sense we'd take to the skies to get there faster.'' One soldier said, looking outside the window. ''Don Candle, sir. Please lower your head or you will start a fire.'' Urged another soldier to which the hero bowed his head. ''My apologies!''

''Don, sir, if you don't mind me asking, why did you volunteer to come all the way out here. I mean, you're a hero but your agency is all the way up in Nara, right?'' The soldier looked at the others, they all seemed puzzled by the hero's decision. ''No one knows the Ragnarockers like I do. These are not typically violent vigilantes and I cannot stress this enough. In the 15 years they have been active, despite being criminals, they only target the worst of the worst of villains. For them to go after civilians? Preposterous! Something is seriously wrong. I simply have to see it for myself. If anyone can talk sense into them, it's me. I've known the group since their genesis after all.''

''I've got eyes on one of the suspects, Sköll.'' The soldier urged Don Candle to come to the window and sure enough, on the ground below a silhouette stood alone by the harbor. ''Sköll, the human weapon. We need to land now.'' The hero ordered.

Meanwhile back on the ground, Sköll had taken note of the helicopter long ago. ''That's it? They're not taking us seriously.'' His voice was monotone, devoid of feelings and humanity. Sköll was a puppet, a human weapon that had been invented by famed inventor Aya Ayashi decades ago, made to replicate what was thought to be one of the most powerful quirks known to exist. Sköll had gone rogue since then, joining the Ragnarockers in bringing justice to Japan. How much of him was artificial and how much was human was still a subject of great debate.

Opening his mouth, Sköll let a small wooden ball roll out onto the ground. Within seconds the ball grew and changed shape, turning into a perfect copy of him. ''That.'' The first Sköll pointed up at the helicopter to his copy, who simply nodded before taking one of his fake arms off to reveal a concealed sword arm underneath. ''That.'' The clone confirmed. Sköll boosted his clone up with his arm, launching him at the helicopter at blinding speeds. In the blink of an eye the helicopter's tail had been cut clean off, as if struck by lightning. ''Shit! We're going down we're-'' The helicopter crashed and was engulfed in an explosion elsewhere in the town. Such a move was bound to draw attention to the harbor, but that was exactly what Sköll wanted.

Whether the three unfortunate souls stumbled onto the scene by accident, was in the wrong place at the wrong time, or rushed to the rescue, all of them would quickly earn Sköll's ire. ''You. Why do you stand before me? Why do you continue to get in my way like all the others?'' He asked like their mere presence bored him. ''You are not ready for what's coming. That's why we have to take control of the situation. Anyone who doesn't already know must die. Consider our plan to kill you all an act of mercy.'' Although his eyes were glassy, they also appeared strangely distant, as if he was under some kind of trance. Using his mouth to pull off his artificial arm, he revealed a hidden sword arm underneath, except the blade was covered in the blood of the civilians he had already cut down on his warpath. ''Die.'' He said simply, before taking off from his spot, sprinting at the three with blinding speed. Raising his arm, he would attempt to cut all three of them using his otherworldly speed to his advantage.

The Sun

TL;DR:
- Don Candle is arriving at the harbor to aid in subduing the Ragnarockers, but his helicopter is intercepted by Sköll
- Sköll is a weapon that can create clones of himself
- Confronted with Rem, Farrin and Kirara, Sköll dashes at them and tries to cut them all down for a swift kill

here was some commentary to be made about an Irishman fresh off the boat being marched straight into a warzone. Realistically, Farrin had nobody to blame but himself. No divine powers or persons of authority forced his hands. It was that pest, curiosity, that sailed him out to sea. A need that wrenched him from the mainland to find the source of those crustaceous creatures. There were too many large-scale attacks on Tokyo as of late. No way they weren't connected. Knock down one domino, and others will follow. The result? An uncomfortable island excursion, aka being stranded, with Rahul and Josie, and now this.

Death and destruction splayed out before him, its arms open in welcome. Come on in. The water is highly acidic and ready to burn you to bits. Farrin did as any real hero would. He jumped right in. 

Fear was in the air. It trailed every fleeing civilian. "Oi, get on the boat! Get on the boats!" He shouted. Whatever the threat, if the ships pulled away, the occupants would be relatively safe. 

A chopper swung about tailless through the skies, falling towards town. That would be his first destination until he found the culprit behind the attack. It didn't take long. 

Time's touch filled Farrin's eyes with golden light, and the boy burst ahead. He beamed down the docks and into the harbor proper. The streets were thick with obstacles: innocent bystanders, personal vehicles, and loading equipment along the pier. Farrin zipped between the frightened populace and leaped over an overturned car, then landed just a few meters from the source of the danger. The chopper would have to wait. 

"Well, I see someone's a few fries short o' a happy meal," Farrin quipped. 

The fella pulled his own arm off, then charged. He was fast, like Farrin fast. Possibly faster. But he was the one crossing distance, which meant Farrin had a fraction of a second more time to react. 

"Might wanna look up the meanin o' mercy, bud." 

Farrin charged a few steps forward in kind, then thrust his hands up to try catching the crook by his upper arm, the part that wasn't sharpened blade. Whether or not he did, the blood would be perfectly visible; the weapon was slick with it, and that would shape Farrin's face into a scowl. If he managed to catch the attack, he would shove the man back, then open fire with two stun rounds from each of his gauntlet cannons.

“boats…” i was still kicking myself for making such a simple mistake. kicks could’ve been harder if i had the boots i thought they were selling. “what an idiot…”

i don’t realize where i am at this point. i’m wandering around and somehow end up with two people beside me. i’m not even supposed to be here, let alone next to these two strangers, but for some reason this guy thinks he’s gonna do us a favor by trying to kill us? maybe, he just needs a friend to not be so angry at the world? i was so much angrier before old man yams helped me out.

my eyes glowed pink, my hair stood up, and i stared at the man in hopes of not only nullifying his quirk and presumably his blade, but to give him the closure he couldn’t find from anyone else in the world. i knew it was like to lose… what little i had.

if it weren’t that other fast guy i wouldn’t have had the chance or opportunity to even do this. so, here i go, grabbing someone from a pit i knew not too long ago.

“friends don’t stab each other…” i offer my hand. “wanna be friends?”

Did I piss a deity to have this kind of luck Kirara thought on passing.

Witnessing the falling helicopter crashing to the ground, a man with candle as his head ('I wonder if the candle can run out or not') and more importantly - A man with short temper and love to jump into a conclusion. Like, seriously does he think everyone there trying to stop him? What a tiresome mindset if they ask her. However, before she can raise out her word - the man vanish real fast but before he takes off; Kirara witness a glimpse of sword being drawn out. A quick contraction results her to dash backward in a speed that doesn't lose to what the man displayed to them. To her luck, the position that she is stopping on there was a rather big rock; big enough to trip her up and make her butt kiss the ground.

"Yeowch" Kirara groans, not feeling pain but embarrassed. Now she noticed that there is another guy that has intercept the man from attacking so even if she didn't dash backward - she should be okay. "Oh come on, you are a grown adult yet you talk like a high school boy with an eight grade syndrome" Kirara scolds the man who tries to attack them as she stands up trying stand up while taking on her Vulcan Magnus as a preparation if she needs it.

''You talk big, considering you don't know what I know.'' He replied coldly to Farrin. The time turner managed to catch his first attempt at cutting him, but that was no big deal. He would simply follow-up with a quick stab and that would be the end of it. Except suddenly, Sköll's body froze up completely. His eyes widened as his head turned an unnatural amount of degrees to look at Rem. A quirk nullifying power? That boy was going to be trouble. With no room to move, Sköll was shoved back and fell to his knees, his puppet body convulsing from taking two stun rounds in the chest. ''Friends? How laughable.'' Despite feeling pain, he was incapable of showing it. ''Friends... I once had friends. All friendship gets you is disappointment.'' His tone was bleak, and a little sad too. ''When you stand before the Final Keeper, no one can save you.''

Three more clones emerged from where the other clone had been tossed by the original. The clone he had tossed earlier had presumably made clones of itself. ''Sköll.'' They said in unison, looking over the group. ''Them.'' He said blankly. ''Them.'' They repeated. Needing only a moment to take in the situation, the clones dashed from their spot, one aiming to stab Kirara before she could finish putting on her gear, while the two others tried to flank Rem and cut him down from either side to end his quirk nullifying effect on the original. ''I'm killing you for your own sake. You do not want to see what I've seen.''

The Sun

TL;DR:
- Sköll gets frozen in place by Rem's quirk, allowing Farrin to shove him back and hit two stun rounds on him
- He rejects Rem's offer to become friends, insinuating that he has been betrayed by friends in the past
- Three more clones appear from the direction of where the helicopter was shot down, these clones were most likely spawned by other clones
- The three clones, once commanded by Sköll, head for Kirara and Rem respectively. One tries to stab Kirara before she can get her gear ready, while the other two flank Rem to try and slash him to pieces to put a stop to his quirk, which is still paralyzing the original Sköll

“yeah exactly friends smile and laugh togeth—” oh. he didn’t want to be friends because he was hurt. i understand the feeling… people will disappoint you no matter though, right? so if you’re getting all the downsides of friendship why not get the upsides? you gotta at least try, right? “yeah, that’s the thing about the final keeper… no one can save you.” i don’t know what the final keeper is but it matters a lot to him. “that doesn’t mean you have to do it alone.”

but i guess it isn’t talky time anymore. he wants to keep fighting. and it looks like he DOES have friends to come back him up… which hurts all the more cos i wish he would have just been honest with me. i blink before they strike… cos well i just wanted a moment to talk. but now it’s time to fight, so i’m gonna do that instead!

the thing is they’re fast… i can’t avoid both of them. heck, i can barely dodge one of them! but there is a way to deal with them i think.

i charge forward and tackle one, avoiding it’s strike. then on the way down as we turn i’m hit by the other, but the guy i’m bringing down with me gets hit, too! or i hope he does cos this nasty gash is gonna be annoying to deal with. it’s like a papercut… it stings even if it doesn’t do much.

isbelief is something like scowl Farrin wore during the exchange. Not with Sköll, surprisingly. His batshite crazy spiel was par for the villainous course. But was the fella at Farrin's side trying to befriend this madman? 

The stun rounds hit their mark. Each shot cracked against the criminal, keeping him down, but the electrical currents coursing through him did little to shut his gob. Another real tough one, aye? If this Final keeper drove him to this, just what were they capable of? Implications and theory would have to wait. First things first. He needed to help the others- which unfortunately meant playing outside of Farrin's strong suit. 

More of... Sköll... was incoming. As fast as Farrin was, he couldn't be in several places simultaneously. So, he opted for verticality. He threw his weight low, then lunged into the air. With a spin, he set his sights below and lined up his shot. Six more stun rounds rained down from above. Two beamed down toward the original Sköll while two more launched for Kirara's attacker. The last shots were inbound on the clone Rem wasn't clung to. Aiming for the one Rem tackled risked hitting his unknown ally.

"How 'bout we decide fer ourselves, arsehole!" Farrin shouted on his descent. 

Farrin cocked his fist back. Between his quirk and falling momentum, he fell like lightning through the sky, straight for the original Sköll. He threw his fist forward in a jab that would shatter stone. Maybe he could knock this psycho out early before any more of his buddies - whatever this quirk was - showed up.

tldr: Farrin jumped into the air and shot six more stun rounds. Two for the original Sköll, two for the one attacking Kirara, and two for the clone Rem didn't tackle. He aimed his descent for the original and tried to punch him with the weight / momentum and speed from his quirk behind him.

First lesson on being a hero - all villains have a loose on the screw.

She just learned about it right now and feel regret to actually pay attention to what he is trying to say. Her benevolent action of actually listening makes her lower her guard down - realizing the oncoming assault far too late. The only thing she can is to jump on the opposite direction of the stabbing - but because she was too late of jumping back; her side got stab - albeit it is a shallow one but it is still a stab. It would be much worse if it wasn't for the fact that Farrin shot the thing.

Fortunately, the wound is shallow and doesn't show any immediate danger to her own health. She still flinch in pain though and that is very suck.

"Screw the final keeper bullshit, right now... noe one can save you" Kirara curse and act rashly as she finish wielding her gloves and quickly toss four metallic ball midair. Four consecutive back and forth of speed burst as she hits different metallic ball; the ball shots at high speed like a cannon directed toward the original.

Sköll stared up at Rem unblinking, intrigued by his response regarding the Final Keeper. ''You say that, but you still stand before me. You still came out here to the islands. Why is that? You should know by now that if we don't take control of the situation, everything is going to burn.'' He paused. ''I'm not doing anything alone. This is our wish, our plan.''

Almost as if on cue the three clones appeared and jumped right into the fray. The clones helped distract Rem, but much to Sköll's dismay breaking his line of sight did not turn off his quirk nullification power. Interesting. Sköll pondered the dilemma as his body shook from two more stun rounds fired by Farrin. The stun rounds Farrin aimed for the clone that harmed Rem caused the clone to fall apart like a wooden puppet. Similarly, the one Rem tackled also fell apart into various pieces, much more frail than the original. Finally, while the third clone hurt Kirara, it too fell apart after one attack.

Sköll had the air knocked out of him when Kirara fired those metallic balls, sending him skidding backwards and taking heavy breaths. This was bad, very bad. They were much more formidable than he had expected, none of their intel prepared the Ragnarockers for people this strong being on the island.

Perhaps he needed to use that move after all.

An ultimate move that would blot out the Sun and consume it the way Sköll was meant to in the legends of Ragnarök.

Sköll was still unmoving, but the trio would begin to hear the march of tens, no hundreds of footsteps marching to the same rhythm. Coming from within the city, an army of Sköll's clones, more than could easily be counted by the naked eye, but easily hundreds of them came into view. ''Sköll.'' They said in unison, their glassy, dead eyes looking at the scene in front of them. All the clones were either dirty, worn, or had blood on their blade arms. Sköll twitched, his jaw shaking as he tried to speak, finally uttering his next words.

''Everyone.''

The kill command was given, and the clones promptly charged into battle, descending on the trio of unfortunate souls.

The Sun

TL;DR:
- The three clones Sköll sent after the trio get taken out relatively quickly since they are more frail than the original
- Original Sköll still can't move, is hit by stun rounds and metal balls
- Using his ultimate move, Sköll commands the hundreds of clones that had spread throughout the city and made their way to the harbor to 'kill everyone' in an attempt to kill Rem, Farrin and Kirara
- The clones charge at the trio, hoping to protect the original and kill the trio

h, what the shite is this?" Farrin murmured. An army of one eyed the trio, all wearing the same murderous glare. Even if these puppets were easy to destroy, their numbers were legion. The reality of battle was that a few decisive moves usually determined the outcome. There were only so many people resilient enough to weather a storm of injuries. A few hard jabs or sharp slashes, and even the strongest warrior would slow. They couldn't waste time fighting all of these things, which left only one option. 

Farrin turned to the stilled Sköll that first attacked them. "We've no time fer' this!" He shouted. The air boomed as Farrin accelerated at full speed for the original. He threw one jab, then another, and another toward the--as far as he knew--former vigilante. His fists were a blur in the wind, all targeting Sköll. Even if his launcher rounds flew through the clone ranks and destroyed several puppets per shot, there would still be more. Their best bet was eliminating the original. He wasn't exactly sure what these other two could do, so leaving it to them wasn't an option. He had to stay on the offense. 

If Sköll mounted a defense, Farrin would drop into a crouch and throw his leg into a kick meant to sweet his enemy's legs out from under him. Then he would leap above and drop into a heavy ground pound with his knee. The winds whirled around him as he pressed forward, throwing all he had into eliminating the threat before it could harm any other.

tldr: Farrin targets the original Sköll rather than try to fight an army. He throws a bunch of jabs Sköll's way, then drops low to sweep Sköll's feet out from under him with a kick, and ends by jumping into the air and trying to land on the former vigilante with a knee drop.

“i was lookin for shoes...” i lift up mine and the bottoms flop down. not the kind of flip floppin’ people associate with flip flops but i feel that’s a more apt name for these. there’s a clear view of my dogs for him to see.

oh right. time is linear. let’s jump back to where i’m on top of the one puppet and it’s all broken and stuff… it never really stood a chance. but it looks like he can make a lot of them. so i guess if i stop him from doing that it should be pretty annoyin right? i def lost track of which the original was when i fell to the ground so… that’ll be tricky. hmmmm.

“hey which is the original again?” i call out. “i need to look at him again i accidentally blinked.” they prolly don’t know what that means. “if i look at him i can turn his quirk off. then maybe we can beat him up and buy some shoes after or somethin’? mine are really worn out!”

that’s an army marching this way. i can tell because it’s like a human sized millipede and they rarely got that big and when they did they didn’t make this many thuds but it was like close enough, i think. it also could’ve been like elk or somethin too.

“okay does anyone have a plan or do i just have to punch these until they’re all broken?” i’m swinging my broken bat which broke again — the tape didn’t hold — so i was using both sides to tear these apart. but i’d get swarmed eventually, i think. and if i can’t move then whatever that guys wants to do is gonna happen which i think involves destroying the shoes store that most likely isn’t here.

The swarm of eerily similar looking doll swarmed them with one goal - to end them. While Farrin clearly used to this hero-business and maintain his focus on what he needs to do and Rem... is Rem. Kirara got overwhelmed with the army. She never been a frontal fighter, nor she ever want to and this is beyond what she is capable of. All she can do right now is to evade as many as attack she can, although some attacks manage to land a graze on her leaving a small cuts and bruises here and there.

"Gah! Persistent guy is already out of fashioned, keep up with time old man Kirara groan in annoyance and decide to flash into where Rem is standing. Since she can't do this alone, then she need someone to help her. "Please be a dear to me and act together with me. I will cover you from range Kirara asks nicely to him while she make her metal ball float and quickly shots right at the dolls.

''Why, are you in such a hurry? Do you think you can stop the looming disaster on your own?'' He asked Farrin, wondering why if the boy was in such a hurry, he didn't simply surrender and let himself get killed. Farrin's jabs predictably connected with the original Sköll the vigilante powerless as he took blow after blow, and yet his expression didn't change the entire time. Was he not showing emotions because of whatever was controlling him, or was he simply incapable of it? Programmed to be a living weapon and nothing more. ''You're all putting up a valiant struggle.'' As Rem's quirk faded from the original Sköll he immediately tried to impale Farrin with his sword. All the while some his clones circled in around them, letting the original Sköll blend in with the crowd. ''Kill them.'' Sköll and the clones spoke in unison.

30 of the clones turned towards Rem. ''Kill them.'' They tried to encircle him, striking and stabbing from all angles in an attempt to wear him down with sheer numbers alone. Him talking about his quirk even earned him another line as the clones responded. ''Gouge out his eyes.'' In that same monotone voice as always.

Just as one of the clones was about to sneak into Rem's blind spot, Kirara running in to join Rem slammed it aside hard enough to break it. ''You continue to struggle even though it is futile.'' All clones spoke in unison as another 40 joined the attack on Kirara and Rem. ''Why?''

''Why?''

''Why?''

''Are you stupid?''

''Is it your human will to live?''

''Dying over a pair of shoes is pathetic.''

''Dying because you want to play hero is pathetic.''

''Dying because you want to throw petty insults at the enemy is pathetic.''

Farrin was holding up great and his big, sweeping attacks were working on the clones. Rem and Kirara was bravely fighting for their life too, but for every clone the trio eliminated, three more would be there to take its place.

They needed a way to locate the original Sköll and eliminate him.

''No one survives my Puppet Army.''

''No one.''

''Your feeble attempt to stop me ends here.''

The Sun

TL;DR:
- Farrin manages to get a few jabs in on the original Sköll before he regains his ability to move
- Sköll and some of his clones attack Farrin, the rest of the clones encircle Rem and Kirara to try and overwhelm them with sheer numbers
- Sköll's Puppet Army can only be defeated if the real Sköll is dealt with

 stream was made into a river, and the river grew into an ocean. The enemy was numerous and swift, flooding the few defiant sparks that stood in their way, threatening to snuff out any resistance. But resolve could make an inferno of any spark and Farrin was nothing if not resolved. 

He lunged ahead after the knee drop and threw one jab after another, an endless storm with fists playing rain. A fire burned at the back of Farrin's brain, a temporal warning, but he refused to let up. He tightened his fist and thrust it forward again and again. Pain spiraled and seared from his left shoulder as a blade burst through his flesh. 

With grit teeth and a balled fist, he fired a hard right jab even still. With his left hand, he grabbed at the blade. "I have it right 'ere!" He shouted in response to Rem. "N' I'm no' lettin yuh' run anywhere, yah' yammrin', slack-jawed gobshite!" He shouted, throwing another hard right jab. If the blow connected, he would follow up with the meanest launcher round yet--an incendiary. 

The shot would explode into a high-intensity flame if it connected. Farrin rarely used the incendiaries since they were potentially lethal, but the blood seeping into his hero outfit from the blade still embedded in his shoulder meant time was limited, especially if Sköll moved the weapon too much or managed to wrestle it out of him. They had to end the fight now.

tldr: Farrin threw several more punches Sköll's way and signaled Rem to him and the original but took the stabbing blade into his left shoulder. He grabbed the blade with his left hand and tried to hold it while attacking with his right. He would end the combo by firing an incendiary round from his gauntlet at point blank.

“oh yeah sounds great.” it was always nice to work together with people instead of them trying to kill you for sleeping in their trashcan. sometimes you fill up on their scraps, get a tummy ache and nap, but this wasn’t like those times at all. instead we kept slammin these puppets and knockin’ ‘em down even though, like, it didn’t put much of a dent in anything.

but i could do this all day really. pow. it’s just a matter of persistence. smack. but if i didn’t have to that’d be a lot better so i’m hoping that other guy has a plan or something since we’re just two little dunces tryna our best to live. bonk.

my eyes follow his direction and look at the original. my eyes glow, my hair stands up, and if he really is the original, then this should nullify his quirk…
