The USJ looked like its same old, city replica self. It was quiet, deserted, only a sinister secret was looming in the backdrop of the ghost town. One for her students to solve! Her megaphone picked up some feedback as she turned it on and put it up to her face. She had gathered the students on the outskirts of the USJ for today's cross-year lesson. ''Caw, Caw!!'' She cawed into the megaphone like a crow, but did a horrible job imitating one. Nevertheless, she had everyone's attention now! ''Eyes on me everyone!'' She waved and smiled at the crowd of students as she stood up on a small podium. ''My name's Phantasmagoria! Some of you already know me as your homeroom teacher, but I hope we can all get along! ~'' She smiled and winked, practically oozing energy, optimism and confidence with the way she conducted herself. ''Today's lesson is simple! Terrorists have hidden bombs all over the USJ and are threatening to blow the city to kingdom come!'' She paused for dramatic effect. ''All the civilians have already been evacuated, but oh! Won't someone think of the structural damage! Society will never financially recover if those bombs go off!'' She put a hand up to her forehead and hammed up her act to be extra melodramatic for that line delivery. ''That's where you come in!'' She pointed at the students. ''You must find the bombs and disarm them before they all go off! Disarming them is easy, but finding all of them won't be. Also, in the spirit of the season the bombs look like little jack-o'-lanterns! Be sure to thank your fellow support students for coming up with the design!'' She winked, waiting a moment to give them a little time to digest the information she had given them before posing dramatically. ''You may work together in groups or on your own, but you will all be graded for your individual performance, yes you may use your quirks too, but be civil!'' She twirled the megaphone around as she smiled smugly. ''Aaaand as an added bonus, if you happen to impress me today you can earn a ticket to go on a hero mission with yours truly, where you will gain some real world, practical hero experience as my temporary sidekicks!'' A red light switched on up on the walls surrounding the USJ as a timer began ticking down. One hour, that was all they had. ''Happy hunting, everyone!'' She grinned, waving goodbye as she stepped off the podium. Anticipating that some students might have questions she decided to hang around the starting area for a bit, before she would follow the students into the USJ to observe their progress.

Standing off to one side, giving Lucille plenty of room and ensuring she was the focus point for the gathered students, Mar was propped up against a wall with her tail sprawled out around her feet and her arms crossed under her chest. At a glance the blonde teacher probably looked like she wasn't paying attention, but she absolutely was... she was just also resting her eyes for a minute! Lucille had an energy about her that was infectious, even for someone as chronically lethargic as Mar, and the way she spoke conveyed the animated energy she moved about with so well that Mar didn't even need to see it to picture it.
If she hadn't become a teacher or a pro hero, Lucille would have made an excellent stage actor or show host of some kind.
Making sure to keep a distance to allow for any questions to go uninterrupted, Mar pushed herself off the wall and stretched her arms over her head before falling into pace beside her fellow teacher on their way into the USJ. She was just here to watch and keep Lucille company, maybe help if it really ended up being needed in some way. Mostly she just wanted to see how the students handled the challenge and maybe get an idea of any physical shortcomings she could help them with in the future. Glancing over at Lucille she offered a quiet comment:
"Nice speech. Was that whole thing improvised?" It was a sincere question too, since she doubted most people could give a speech like that without scripting out at least some of it. But stuff like this probably came naturally to Lucille so it wouldn't surprise her if the whole thing was off the top of her head.
Perhaps more importantly, she found herself curious to see how motivating that temporary sidekicks opportunity would be and if rewards like that might make for a good teaching device in general. Lucille Arbogast,

The cawing as an introduction put a very small smile on Rin's face, standing with the rest of the assembled students. If any of her roommates were also participating in this exercise she'd try to stand near them, but if not she was content enough to just kind of keep to herself - hands clasped together and down in front of her, shoulders tucked in and generally trying not to take up too much space or get in anyone's way. Which, for a girl as small as Rin was, was a somewhat ridiculous concern but it was a subconscious habit. The last thing she wanted was to accidentally bump into anyone and cause a scene over how cold to to the touch she was surprising them.
Thankfully, she had Arbogast-san to focus on and the homeroom teacher was so charismatic and light hearted that even someone as nervous as Rin could relax a little bit.
Hearing that the bombs would be easy to disarm was a relief too. She didn't mind that they would be harder to find, that wasn't nearly as stressful as having a bomb right in front of you and having no idea how to disarm it. Being allowed to use their Quirks was maybe a good thing too? She could probably disarm it manually if it wasn't too complicated, but at worst she could probably just... bury it in so much snow it wouldn't be able to hurt anybody when it went off. Or maybe being cold might mess with how the bomb worked? She knew some stuff like computers didn't handle extreme temperature changes all that well so that was an idea...
Getting to temporarily side-kick and learn directly from a pro was always an exciting prospect. She appreciated Iphi-san a lot for helping her even outside of normal school experiences that way, even if the situations she had gotten into were really scary once or twice. She wouldn't mind getting to see how someone like Arbogast-san operated up close either, but she doubted she'd be particularly impressive - and besides, other students would probably deserved and needed an experience like that a lot more than she did.
When it was time for questions she inched her way over towards the teacher, letting anyone else who had a question go first if they wanted, before timidly raising her hand to ask: "Uhm, Arbogast-san, are we allowed to work in groups?" While asking her question, not realizing that it had already been answered at the end of the speech, she glanced over at the P.E. teacher, wondering if she ever got enough sleep with how tired she always looked. That wasn't somehow her fault for needed rescued from a rope-tangling incident last P.E. class, was it? Hoping that wasn't the case she focused on her shoes instead while waiting for the teachers verdict on teamwork. If it was allowed she was going to try to cooperate with as many people as she could, and if not... well... she'd just have to try not to get in anyone's way and disarm at least one bomb all on her own! The hunt was on. Enma showed up in dark training cloths that covered up his skin as well as a black medical mask. This was, unfortunately, his hero uniform. As he stood there waiting patiently for the instruction to end, he felt tempted to text Masao about him participating in the training exercise. He was unsure if he should participate in a group or rely on himself. Holding Raiju by the tsuba, upside-down and behind his arm, he dashed forward at incredible speeds as soon as they were released. Having trained at the USJ extensively on his own through available extracurricular studies, Enma felt comfortable exploring the cityscape simulated by the academy. It was amazing what they could do, carving out their own slice of Tokyo. He wasn't good at working with others, but he knew that would need to change. Without much time to prepare, however, he needed to disarm those bombs. Depending on what would appear before him, he would need to call out to someone who could if it was beyond him. The immediate hope was that he could whack them and that would be all that was needed. Realistically, bombs weren't disarmed that way. This was a training exercise, so they kept it simple. Coming upon a parking complex, he would dash at it and leap, a burst of debris rising from underneath his step. Jumping with raw strength to the second floor, he would bring his arms in with the lunging leap and slide along the ground. He was strong, but he couldn't necessarily break anything. Racing to the top of the complex, Enma's physicality showed. Coming to a sliding stop at the corner of one of the mid-levels, he would find a bomb. Leaning outside, he would call out to the nervous girl. "Bomb located!" That's where he would approach to see how to disarm it. Oh, it was a jack-o-lantern. Actually. This one was rather large and lop-sided, with a candle illuminating its insides. Bringing his sheathed sword up, he swung it down and smashed the pumpkin. Leaning out once more, he announced, "They're pumpkins! Just smash them." Leaping from the apartment complex and landing against the flat wall of the next building, he would slide down and continue onward. Rin Mar Lucille Arbogast

She smiled back at Mar right after offering some advice to a couple of first year students. ''Sort of!'' She pointed her thumb at herself. ''I just spoke straight from the heart! Works all the time, every time! ~'' She looked past Mar to wave at another group of students. ''Good luck in there! Take care of each other!'' She put her hands on her hips and let out a small sigh. ''They're livelier than ever, don't you think?'' Speaking of, that second year student Enma, he was really going into this giving it his all. Talk about a strong crisis response performance already! When she noticed Rin approach she offered her a gentle smile, offering the timid student all the patience in the world as she addressed her question. ''You got that right, Gotoh-san!'' She was about to inquire about her choice of teammates when Enma called out to his fellow second year. ''Looks like someone needs your help, Gotoh-san, go get 'em!'' She grinned, giving her a firm and reassuring pat on the shoulder. Looking upwards she noticed that a lot of students were either taking to the rooftops or using flying quirks to get their friends and teammates around faster. ''I'm going topside.'' She pointed up as she looked at Mar. ''If you need me here just contact me on the comms, otherwise I leave the streets to you!'' She gave her colleague a salute before activating her transformation quirk, turning her arms into huge crow wings and her feet into talons. ''Good find!'' She exclaimed at Enma, offering him a small wink. ''Keep at it and the city will be saved in no time!'' She made sure to stay on the move as she observed everyone, ready to go wherever the students needed her to go, or where she looked like she was needed. enma, Rin, Mar

Momoiro stood amongst their peers, their usually steady hands fidgeting the hem of their kimono. Despite the enthusiastic energy their teacher was giving off, the only thing Momoiro could focus on was the thudding of their own heartbeat. They had trained their whole childhood, but much of that training was merely in learning the kata and the occasional sanctioned matches. This was U.A., however, not their family dojo. If the stories they had heard were true, this place was going to challenge them like no other. A knot of anxiety tightened in their stomach as the weight of expectation began to bear down on them.[break][break]
Momoiro was slow to act. They might not have been the last one out of the room when the red light went on, but they most likely would've been if others hadn't stopped to ask questions. Did Momoiro have questions? Absolutely. They had dozens of questions. Would staying behind cost them points? Was this a test? Heroes need to be decisive, so would it be a demerit against them if they stopped to ask questions? Maybe they'd get points for staying behind to ask questions. Heroes need to calmly assess the situation before jumping into action, right? Was Momoiro overthinking things? They were definitely overthinking things. They shook their head and ran ahead, casting all doubts to the side.[break][break]
No real plan in mind, Momoiro just started running. Where to? They had no idea. They had no idea how to even begin, and the anxiety made it all hard to think. For this test, Momoiro was leaving their luck to heaven. ulla [newclass=.itsover b]color:#ffb7c5[/newclass] [newclass=.oneword1]transition:1s;overflow:hidden;height:200px;width:450px;[/newclass] [newclass=.oneword1:hover .fromyou1]transition:1s;margin-top:0px;[/newclass] [newclass=.fromyou1]background-color:#2f2f2f;opacity:.8;font-family:arial;font-size:10px;color:#fff;padding:10px;margin-top:250px;width:150px;transition:1s;[/newclass] [newclass=.fromyou1 a]font-family:courier new;text-transform:uppercase;color:#a366b6;letter-spacing:1px;[/newclass]

Rin briefly watched Enma bolt off at incredible speed, followed by one of the first years she wasn't personally familiar with yet at still pretty impressive speeds. Maybe she was just projecting but she thought she could sense some familiar nervous energy from the first year, something about the way they had held themselves and taken off felt like how Rin herself did those things. Lucille confirming her question, the second year shouting down to her from up on a parking complex and then Lucille encouraging her to get going prompted her to give a hasty "Okay, t-thanks!" and shouting "Pumpkin-bombs, g... got it!" to let Enma know she had heard him before sprinting off after her fellow students.
It was actually a good thing she wasn't as fast as the guy that had called out to her because by the time she approached the parking complex he was already leaping down it again and that told her it was all clear of pumpkin-bombs. Or well, she assumed it was anyways. Apparently all they needed to do was find them and smash them? Even she could do that, right?
So she ran along in vaguely the same direction as Enma and Momoiro, pausing now and then to frantically peer down corners or under obstacles that might be hiding a pumpkin. She wouldn't even need her Quirk for this after all, probably, right? Well, maybe if someone needed an emergency landing after falling off of something... she really hoped that didn't happen, or if it did she or someone else was nearby enough to make a save. While searching she couldn't help but feel a little outclassed by just how impressive Enma was. Was that really where second years were supposed to be at already? She wasn't nearly as fast, and she couldn't jump like that so she definitely wasn't as strong... she didn't think of herself as particularly tough either.
A Jack-o-lantern interrupted her train of thought as she peered in through a doorway, sitting on a countertop just out of view enough that running by would have missed it. With a little "Ah, a pumpkin!" Rin scurried over, hesitating briefly as she considered how to go about 'disarming' it before just hefting the thing up and smashing it on the ground at her feet.
Assuming nothing catastrophic happened, and Rin half expected that something catastrophic WOULD happen, she lingered for just a moment to catch her breath before she'd be off again to continue searching and trying her best not to let her nerves get the beter of her. In a weird way, Enma was using the bomb run exercise to see how quickly he could find and take down targets. There were no hostages to consider, maybe obstructions from damaged buildings. If it was smashing pumpkins, then he was going to channel the killer in him to dispatch the little jacks. While he wasn't a social butterfly, a sense of duty would also channel to help break the nerves of the student lagging behind. Another was more aimlessly running, which meant he shouldn't just take it upon himself to crush every pumpkin. But wasn't that more efficient? Should he wait for them to get some pumpkin smashing in or should he treat it like a real hazard and just take care of it? Being a leader was the natural choice here when the other two had no idea what they were doing, but it felt like such a drag. Sliding along the upper floors of buildings by ducking obstacles, diving through openings and swinging off a stray pole, he would do a gymnastic spin before launching himself upwards. "Gotoh, three buildings to your left, bomb on the rooftop!" Landing into a roll along the building adjacent to where he came from, his little gymnastic spring let him view a few buildings away, seeing a rather large jack-o-lantern glowing from the eyes. Could she make it there in a timely fashion? He made sure to announce it when she was outside, and as he continued running, he would catch a glimpse of an alley close to the third student. "Sakurai, you're running by an alley! I see the pumpkin in there." Looking ahead, he would shift into a slide off the building's side just in time to avoid a flower pot from smashing against his face. Sliding off the building, he would press his body against the wall of the next building and claw his fingers into its concrete. Surprisingly, he would dig in with relative ease as he slowed his descent. Leaving lines behind with sheer grip, he would dash back onto the main street before thinking of remaining locations. "Next quadrant!" Yelling out, he would pivot as any remaining pumpkins would likely be in the next quadrant of the training facility. How thorough would they be with "bomb" placement? As it seemed like nothing crazy was taking place she decided to fly up and take a perch at a tall building so she could overlook the USJ while resting her quirk. ''Phew, they're really getting into it.'' She took out a little blood bag and poked a straw through it so she could take a refreshing sip. She was glad to see that Rin was joining up with Enma, since she knew Rin was shy and would have a hard time approaching people she didn't know for this assignment herself. Momoiro on the other hand, they didn't waste any time standing around and jumped right into the fray, but were going at it alone until Enma called out to them too. Looking over at another street she saw two other students, Freja and Yoko who seemed to have teamed up begrudgingly, Freja doing her best much like Enma, but Yoko doing the absolute bare minimum. She let out a small sigh and chuckled to herself. At least nothing was out of the ordinary. ''Phantasmagoria-sensei!''Uh oh. That was a student calling out to her. Never a dull moment. ''Hi hi! Is there a problem?'' She waved at the student while kicking her feet idly over the edge of the building and continuing to sip from the blood bag. ''It's Takemichi! He overused his fire quirk and burned himself.'' The student pointed further down the street away from Rin, Enma and Momoiro. She couldn't see Mar anywhere so she quickly let herself fall off the building and activated her quirk to transform her arms into wings again. ''That's no good. Can you take me there? I'll lead him back out through the entrance.''After a couple of minutes she arrived on the scene, thanking the student who had led her as she wrapped a wing around Takemichi. His arm was charred, but it didn't look dire. ''Are you okay? What happened?'' She talked in a soft voice as he was clearly upset, already leading him back out. ''I- I don't know! I just lost control of my quirk all of a sudden, fire was shooting everywhere- I couldn't stop it-'' He was hyperventilating, but she did her best to calm him down and reassure him. ''It's okay, no one else got hurt, let's get you to the infirmary and have Gorgon-san take a look at you.''Passing the group of Momoiro, Rin and Enma she smiled at the three of them. ''Carry on, you're doing great! I'll be right back. If you have any questions in my absence seek out Tiburón-san, she's running around the streets somewhere.''enma, Rin, Momoiro Sakurai, Mar
